Title: Not just a kid
Description: what'dya know, it's open

Spyro - May 13, 2006 05:25 PM (GMT)
The man opposite Spyro wore alot of heavy metal armour and had a sword that looked far too big for him, his eyes were barely visible through his helmet and his attitude was no less than always slightly miffed.
"Why would a kid be a match for me?" he laughed "I'll bet you can't lay a finger on me"
Spyro was leaning against his sword with an extremely relaxed attitude, a complete opposite of his opponent, fiddling lightly with his tail, the only armour he had was a very weak black plate across his chest.
"Never judge a book by its cover" he said looking up with a teasing air "you think you look so tough with all that heavy armour on, sure you can still move?"
Geren's (the opponent) anger quickley rose.
"You won't be such a smart allek when you're on the floor bleeding" he raised a heavily armoured finger at Spyro "I'll have your hide!"
"Last time I checked this was a training ground" said Spyro pushing himself up and resting his sword over his shoulder so the silver wolf head on the hilt caught the sunlight "not a slaughter house"
"Then I'll turn it into a slaughter house!" yelled Geren.
"You appear to have an anger managment problem" said Spyro "let's let Doctor Spyro give you a cure"
"Why you little!"
Geren ran at Spyro hefting his massive sword into the air preparing to strike Spyro, he swung at Spyro who lightly put his neck to one side and the sword just missed it, he ducked as the sword swung at hm again and kicked out knocking Geren over.
"Erm, what were you saying?" he said "something about I'm such a big guy that you can't touch me or nutin?"
"You don't want to make me angry" yelled Geren pushing himself to his feet.
"Oh and you're not angry already?"
Geren charged at Spyro swinging his sword wildly, Spyro leaped into the air over Geren and landed lightly behind him, he got up and looked behind him.
"You missed" he teased.

Finally Kai had made it out of the frozen tundras of Khelek, and was back in the normal temperate-climate land of Arda. Still shivering slightly from spending so much time in the cold, eventually having used up most of his fire to keep himself warm, he looked out to the grasslands that he was now at, wondering if there was some sort of town or something nearby that he could stop and rest at. Unfortunately, however, now didn't seem to be the best time for him to find it...looking over to what seemed to be some sort of outdoor training field, he noticed a man swinging wildly at a familiar-looking boy...if memory served him right, he'd been called Spyro back at Lomedor, while Darkfire was out. Sighing, he crossed his arms behind his head out of a sort of habit while he was walking around, and wandered over to the arena to see exactly what was going on.

"You don't want to make me angry," Kai heard the man say, before Spyro quickly enough retorted, then jumped over the man after another wild swing. Chuckling softly to himself and not caring what the man thought about it, Kai himself stopped a little ways away from the pair of them, sitting down and watching contentedly. "Come on, what's a big strong guy like you doing swinging around like some kind of amateur," he called out to the man, smirking slightly, though slightly worried now that his dark half might be rubbing off on him.

Spyro - May 13, 2006 05:46 PM (GMT)
"Because this little insect won't sit still!" yelled Geren trying and failing to hit Spyro.
Syro leaped back chuckling to himself.
"Fight back you coward!"
Geren ran at Spyro who rolled backwards, caught Geren with taloned feet and flung him behind him before rolling the whole way and flipping back onto his feet, Geren slammed onto the floor and strugled to get up under the weight of his armour, after finally mnaging it he turned madly to Spyro.
"You're getting annoying"
"I have that effect on people"
Geren ran again swinging at Spyro, Spyro raised his hand, caught flat of the blade on two fingers and leaped into the air using the sword as a pivot the kick Genen's arm, knocking the sword from his grip, then spin spin round again and land his foot on the side of Geren's head knocking him over, Spyro landed next to Geren lying on the ground.
"Um, I think I win" he said "looks like you won't turn this place into a slaughterhouse after all"
Geren pushed himself to his feet.
"How could a kid beat me like that?"
"Well maybe if you didn;t have such a massive sword I think that would help" said Spyro.
He walked over to Kai putting his sword back behind his back.
"Nice to see you" he said "and don't mind him, he had brain troubles"
"I heard that" said Geren walking off into the distance.

Clearly entertained for the moment, Kai placed his hands behind him on the ground and rested back a bit against his arms, simply watching the fight for now. One particular flip was fairly impressive that Spyro pulled off...not due to strength, of course, given that he was part dragon and was bound to have plenty, but the overall ability to pull it off. Remaining silent for another few moments, Kai watched the battle seem to end with a series of two hard kicks, one to the arm and one to the side of the head, each of which had to be clearly felt under all that heavy armor, which would shield quite well from sharp objects, but an impact would be felt from blunt strikes.

Kai shrugged slightly and watched the man walk off as Spyro came over to him. "Yeah, have to admit, people aren't always...smart..." he said. "You're pretty good yourself, though...been training for a while or something?" he asked, remembering seeing Spyro fight to a certain extent through Darkfire's eyes, of whom he shared overall memory even if control of their body switched between them from time to time. Of course, now that he thought of it, he wasn't completely sure if the half-dragon would recognize him...although the only difference between his two selves really was the fur and eye colors.

Spyro - May 13, 2006 05:57 PM (GMT)
"3 years to be exact" said Spyro sitting down "ever since my home was wrecked, the usual reasons"
He collapsed backwards watching the sky ahead of him and watching the cloud shapes.
"Not much esle to do really"

kai_fox - May 13, 2006 06:03 PM (GMT)
Kai nodded, though he himself had been training since he was about five and had been forced to fend for himself since it had been revealed that he could create and control fire, a trait that in family legend only the first member of the family had held, and had been as evil as they come. "True enough...as for me, I've been training for around thirteen years, since I was kicked out of my home, basically in order to survive in the world. Not that my natural-born powers haven't helped, of course...just wish I could find my old sword, it has to be somewhere in this land," he said thoughtfully.

Spyro - May 13, 2006 09:10 PM (GMT)
"Now that's what I call harsh" said Spyro "so that would evidentally mean you've trained longer than I have"
Spyro pushed himself to his feet and pulled out his sword and began looking at it fondly twirling it slowly.
"Well you don't have mush choice when you're homeless do you" he said "you got kicked out of yours, mine was destroyed. Only way to survive is to get stronger so you can fend for yourself really"

kai_fox - May 14, 2006 08:20 PM (GMT)
"Apparently so..." he responded, then shrugged at the next comment. It wasn't his fault, really, but that was life, and he'd learned to live with it. Of course, one's home being destroyed was fairly bad, but it was perhaps worse to be shunned by one's own family as he'd been, for something uncontrollable. "If only that sort of thing didn't happen...of course, if it didn't, I probably wouldn't be here today, or as strong as I am...but even so, I'm sure it's created a lot of evil folks from events like that."

Spyro - May 14, 2006 08:25 PM (GMT)
"Suppose your right" said Spyro "but I'd give anything to be with my father again, anything"
He let his sword drop to the ground with a soft clatter of metal.
"I've always wondered why I didn't give up then" he said "nowhere to go, nobody to help me, nothing to save me"
The image of Silverfang flashed infornt of Spyro's vision and suddenly he had his answer.
"Well it gives me something to think about besides my father" he said "and I can't turn back the clock, no matter how much I want to"

kai_fox - May 14, 2006 08:39 PM (GMT)
Kai shrugged in response to these first two statements, not really sure what to say. Sure, he'd seen his own brother once over a year ago, over in Avalon, but he wasn't interested in seeing the rest of his family; not his sister that he'd heard was born shortly after he was kicked out, not his parents, none of them. Well...maybe his sister, at least once, who would be around thirteen now.

"True enough," he responded to the last question. "There probably is a way, I'll admit, and if I find it I'm going to use it to erase...a certain event that happened to me a few years after I was kicked out of home. But I'm still looking for a way to get rid of Darkfire, who you've of course seen back in Lomedor, my completely sadistic dark side that embodies the anger I had back then..."

Spyro - May 14, 2006 09:17 PM (GMT)
"That would explain alot" said Spyro "like why your personality seems alot different"
Spyro sighed deeply thinking of the long task ahead of him, knowing that no matter how strong he would become, it would still be impossible.
"You have a sister huh?" he said "wish I did, but I was an only child, and not a very spoilt one at that"

kai_fox - May 15, 2006 12:57 PM (GMT)
Kai nodded in response. Of course his personality was different...as the expression went, they were two sides of the same coin, him good and Darkfire undeniably evil. One could only wonder what would happen if one of them changed their ways, though, but that would likely never really happen, especially on Darkfire's part.

"Well, might be nice to be an only child at least at times...tough for me, though, considering I have no idea where any of my family is. I'd kinda like to see my sister at least once, though, and maybe my brother Blaze again, even if I never want to see any of the rest of my family again. Of course, that's provided my sister doesn't think of me as evil like my parents did just because I wield fire."

Dark_Descendant - May 15, 2006 05:36 PM (GMT)
Dark Descendant remains seated under a large cherry blossom tree. The smell of wild flowers and rich herbs infused in the air, Floating through the plains. Drifting in the air. She breathes this smell in deeply, A grin appearing across her shadow enveloped face. Yawning widely, A hand coming up to conceal this yawn almost instantly as it escapes her parted lips. She leans backwards once more. Daito at her side, Leant against the tree, A hand rested upon the Jindachi Zukuri mount.
She rolls her eyes, Gazing out across the plains as she remains in this lazy position. The rays of sunlight coming through the leaves above her.
