Title: Stargazing and Contemplating

Lowri - July 24, 2004 05:23 PM (GMT)
“If only,” Lowri sighed, her grey green eyes staring up at the heavens. “If everything were as bright as you the world would surely be a better place.” Was she talking to the stars? Yes but it wasn’t that surprising, she did it often. She leaned back on her hands, a few stray locks of gold that escaped her braid brushed against the sands. “But then if the world were brighter, what if there was no night? I would no longer be able to see you and I fear that.” She had always loved the stars and the thought of losing them made her sad inside.

The large golden wolf that sat on the beach beside her whined softly and Lowri sat up. She brushed her hands against her gray skirts to clean them of sand before wrapping her arms around the shoulders of the wolf and leaning against her. It made an odd sight, a young woman sitting on the beach leaning against a wolf but she didn’t care. Let others think what they’d like, she decided, it won’t stop me. Not even being alone will stop me.
“..But I’m not alone am I? I’ve got you Aderyn.” The corners of her mouth quirked up in a small smile. “We’ve got each other and then we’ve got the stars. We’re never alone, are we?”

"That's beautiful, I wish I could have come up with something like that." Draco walked out of the water where he had been resting when he heard Lowri talking. He stopped a few feet away from here and bowed. "Hello, my name is Draco. Might I ask what you are doing on the beach alone at night?"

Lowri - August 4, 2004 04:45 PM (GMT)
Had she not been sitting she probably would have jumped a little when he spoke. She hadn’t realized that anyone other than herself and Aderyn had been out. She relaxed as Draco approached and bowed, introducing himself. Once he finished she untangled herself from her wolf companion and got to her feet, pausing to wipe the sand off her before she presented him with a small curtsy.
“I’m Lowri and my friend is Aderyn,” she replied politely. “And I’m just stargazing. Might I ask what you’re doing out here?”

"I was resting, being a gaurdian can become very tiring. The sounds one can hear underwater have a soothing affect on me." Draco then turned his gaze up to the stars, looking for the constellation from which he had gotten his name.

“I suppose so,” she replied, shrugging again. “I don’t go swimming often, I prefer stargazing though that shouldn’t be surprising.” As she spoke she settled back down in the sand. Aderyn returned to her sitting position beside her, having lain down, and Lowri wrapped her arms around the wolf’s shoulders, leaning against her.
“But as I said, that shouldn’t be surprising. Swimming for the guardian of water and stargazing for the guardian of stars.” She let her gaze switch back from watching Draco to stare up at the stars.

Draco turned his gaze to Lowri as she continued to gaze up at the night sky. He almost laughed at the similarities between her and someone else he knew. It's amazing how similar people in this world can be. You remind me so much of my friend Liara. She is the Gaurdian of Earth, she also finds peace with the thing she protects. You sit here gazing at the stars, and she goes to some forest, looking for any living thing that lives there. He turned his gaze out to the sea, watching the waves as they traveled towards shore. He shook his head to get the water out of his eyes so that he could see without any problems. That was the one thing he didn't like about swimming, if salt water got into your eyes.

She looked down and over at him, chuckling. “Can’t say I’ve met her... Come to think of it, I think you’re one of the first guardians that I’ve met.” She smiled at the thought then looked back up at the stars. She absently stroked Aderyn’s head with one hand, the other hand dropping down to rest in her lap.
“And I wouldn’t really say that I protect the stars.” She paused and her head tilted to one side, her braid thumping against her back. “I more... Watch, yes I think watch is the word. I watch over the stars. Not much would think to harm them.” She glanced back over at him in time to see him shake his head.
“Something wrong? Did you get sea water in your eyes?”
