Title: Ugh, never try and traverse mines alone.
Description: Open to all!

The cold wind pierced and screamed as Seth tripped, as if mocking him. The sheer freezing that had engulfed him had stretched him to his limits, and now it looked as if he were about to break. He picked himself up, hand in front, pushing and shoving against the wind, his jacket wrapped around him in a tight bundle. His other hand was on his sword, as he knew there could be anything in the mines.
'Argh!' He cried, as he was blown over. The narrow tracks that ran through the middle of the mine seemed to fly up into his face as he tripped, banging his head on a rock. 'Ah,' he yelled, 'I can't take much more of this. Why did I ever choose to come here, how foolish was I?' But he carried on.
After hours of stumbling, he reached a large cavern, the walls covered in strange drawings. 'At last,' he exclaimed, putting his hands against the wall. The wind stopped, and the cold left the room. For a second, it glowed a bright blue, but then faded again. He turned in delight, to face a huge beast, a cave boar by the looks of it. His eyes widened in terror, and he pulled out his sword, but he knew he wouldn't be able to take it alone. 'I need help...' he whispered.
The boar charged, and Seth just managed to jump out the way. 'If only I could find something to ride, I could just win. Alas, there is nothing down these damned mines. Guess i'm on my own.' He held up his sword, waiting for the boar to charge again. But it didn't, it just stared at him, wiping it's hooves along the floor, as if making a peace gesture. Seth stepped towards it, sword still out in a block poistion, but the boar stayed put. Seth walked over to it, let his sword down and stroked the boars brow, it's bristly skin like hoarse grass.
The boar chucked it's head up, and Seth was sent flying into a wall. 'How stupid am I to think I can tame a bull... I need help, I won't be able to take it now...' He felt dilirious from banging his head on the wall, and dizzy, he couldn't move in a straight line. But he kept his sword out, uttered a silent prayer and charged at the boar, the sword impaling the boars thigh. But it wasn't good enough, and now the beast was angry. It narrowed it's eyes, and charged.
Malisaro - May 6, 2006 09:09 AM (GMT)
The bull charged again but a lightning arrow flew from nowhere hitting the bull in the back of its throat, it reared up roaring and another two hit it in the leg and the eye. Malisaro leaped down infront of the cave mouth with his bow out pelting arrow after arrow into the beast. After a while of driving it back he pulled out a flaming blood swor and sliced the beast in the head, then cast Earthquake to cause the cieling to crack and used telekenisis to bring the rocks down hard on the creature, he sheathed his sword satisfied.
"You're slow" he said "and if I were you I wouldn't try taming wild beast with nothing but a stroke on its head"
He stared down at the traveler with blood red eyes, no pupils or iris was visible in them and they were deoid of emotion.
"What are you doing here alone anyway?" he said "there's nothing here but old drawven mines, and most of them are empty"
The rocks began to heave but Malisaro casually castlighting bolt without looking and blasted the pile, and the beast inside, against a wall were it slid down and lay motionless.

Seth stared blankly at the stranger for a few seconds, then snapped back into reality.
'Thanks, i needed some help. You see, i'm lost. I've been here over a day now, and my food is running low. I had a message to pass to the dwarves, but got lost on the way back. I'm tired, that is why i'm slow.' Seth sheathed his sword, walked over to the boar and cut a strip of flesh off.
'I'll get a meal or two out of this thing, i think. Care to join me? We can go back afterwards. I have some logs, i'll get a fire started.'
Seth cut a few more strips of meat off the boar then took a piece of wood and some flint from a jacket pocket, and began to light them. After a while there was a roaring fire, and Seth began to roast the meat.
Malisaro - May 6, 2006 10:44 AM (GMT)
"No thanks" said Malisaro "I don't eat in the presense of others"
He tapped his mask to make the point.
"I never take this off, to anybody"
He leaned against the wall looking out of the cave mouth, a slight breeze making his cloak flap about slightly, Malisaro ignored the stinging wind on his face or the cold bitterness of the cave.
"It's not a pretty sight" he said.

Shadow was walking throught the storm looking fo a place to stay. "This storm is the worst I have ever seen in my life." he siade to himself. He had both of his sword out and dug them in the ground using them to help pull forward to get through. He would have changed to his phenix form but that would mean sure death becuase the wind would have blown him back and impale him onto a tree branch. "I need to find shelter." he said to himself.
Shadow had walked for a few more hours and in doing so he was loosing stamina fast. He was having trouble moving in the strong wind and was feezing cold. He kept at it for about another hour or two he wasn't sure. He then came upon a cave and it was dark outside but there was some light still. Shadow started to head torwards the cave. He made it about a few yards to the cave and collapsed from exhaustion.

(I do hope you don’t mind if I join, it did say open)
The storm was gathering strength outside; it was obvious even to those in the mine. The shrill of the wind blowing into the cave was never ending. With the noise came the cold. If one were to close their eyes, they would hardly be able to tell whether or not they were outside or in the entrance, both were just as freezing. However, if one had their eyes open they would see the difference. There was no longer soft grass and mud when they looked down. No longer were trees towering above their heads. Instead they were surrounded by dark stone that had been worn down over the years.
Most knew that this place was home to very powerful dwarves…and greedy too. They worked deep down in the stone, where all the good minerals were. Dwarves come and go and they wish, usually for trade or other important matters. But for a non dwarf to enter, that is a different matter entirely. What purpose would one of those kinds have in the mines? They are damp, cold, and dreary. One must have a special purpose to be within its stone walls. A special purpose she had.
“Another deed for the better” She mumbled softly under her breathe. Tired from the long walk up the tunnels, she leaned against the cold stone to rest. Slowly she began to slide down the wall, putting the pressure on her lower back. Soon she was fully sitting. “Who knew dwarven mines could be so tiring?” Her lungs expanded as she took a big breathe. Her fiery red eyes lifted to the heavens, as if asking for some guidance from a higher power. However, the only power she believed in was the power of mankind.
I hope they understand, she thought to herself. He was not fit to live. He stole from those already starving children. He beat down an innocent civilian as he made his fast escape. That dwarf was corrupt. I hope they understand…
Her thoughts were broken as a loud crash echoed through the mines. It sounded like rock hitting rock. She jumped to her feet. Could it be a cave in? That thought was quickly stolen from her as she heard another sound. It sounded like...well...a zap of lighting. Only then did she hear the faint voices. I was too busy thinking to notice that others were in the mine! It couldn’t be the dwarves…no, they couldn’t have found the body already.
Wanting to find out who was in the mines, she quickly ran out of the tunnel she was in. She would have gotten lost had it not been for the sounds of people talking. She followed it, with a few wrong turns here and there. Soon the voices became more distinct. One was low and seemed to carry power with it. The other sounded more innocent. Soon a large cavern came into sight. That’s where they must be. Ready for any kind of mishap, she slowly made her way to the cavern entrance. Her red eyes began to scan the scene. There was a large mound of rocks…no doubt that was what made the loud crash. By the rocks stood two men. Should I leave them be? She turned around so she was out of sight. What was going to be a moment of thinking quickly turned into a moment of confusion. In the distance, close to the entrance of the cave, she saw a form on the ground. Though she wasn’t close enough to make out what it was, it certainly seemed humanoid. A plan came to her to figure out who these men were.
Confidently she stepped out from her hiding place and into the open.
“I do hope that isn’t your partner in crime back there. It would be such a shame to just leave him in a heap don’t you think?” Her voice was smooth yet strong and was spoken with a very unique accent.
