Title: Arriving...
Description: [p] Silver
Tithy - May 5, 2006 03:27 PM (GMT)
Tithdaeron was gliding easily on a thermal. The pair was now clear of the city walls and limits of Lomedor, and traversing the skies above the Salquedor Plains. The hideout wasnt too far from here, it would only be another hour or so at their current speed. Tithdaeron could have got their sooner, but he could tell Silver wasnt a strong flier. The reason he as gliding instead of really flying.
He looked behind him breifly and smiled. He could see her clearly even though the air was pitch black, his infravision and plain ol' vampire eyes allowing him to peirce the darkness. Tithdaeron smiled and winked at her. Then he looked ahead again. It was important to know where you were going, lest you smack into another unwary flying creature.
Silver~Blade - May 5, 2006 04:12 PM (GMT)
Silver~Blade was already getting a bit tired from the flight. Flight shock, to be sure...
...It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to fly without fearing being shot from above...or getting lost.
It’s also been a long time since I’ve been so free. So very very free, as though nothing can hold me here or there..Except to Tithdaeron..
Silver~Blade did her best not to show her fatigue, but her strength was waning.
She hoped they would reach their destination soon....
Tithy - May 6, 2006 10:50 PM (GMT)
The lair was just visible now, it wouldnt be much longer. Tithdaeron looked over his shoulders again at Silver and could see that her strength was faltering. Her wing beats became more frantic and she was beginning to lose balance and alititude. Tithdaeron slowed down even more, and was now just above her. He fiddled with his Bloodstone Amulet, removed it, and then reached down and fastened it to Silver's neck.
"This should keep you until we arrive. It will feel immensly cold at first, becaause its dark energy, but you will adjust." said Tithdaeron, and then ran his hand through her hair before backing off a little. Tithdaeron trusted that the amulet would help her, it had always kept him going in the most dire straights.
Silver~Blade - May 7, 2006 10:12 AM (GMT)
[[By the way, for future reference, if you shorten Silver~Blade’s name when speaking to her, she likes to be called ‘Blade. Just..so you know, ya? :D ]]
Silver~Blade was almost ready to fall and quit when she suddenly sensed Tithdaeron above her and felt a piece of ice cold stone settle on her chest.
God, this is so embarrassi–
‘Blade’s thoughts abruptly came to a halt when she felt Tithdaeron run his hand through her hair. In fact, she almost fell right then, but she managed to keep her balance and smiled shyly.
By this time, the bloodstone had started working, and her strength was slowly restoring. She smiled warmly to herself. She really was in love. And that...was a good feeling, to say the least.
The bloodstone reminded her of her father’s amulet. She’d tried it on once, and it had weighed about the same on her neck as Tithdaeron’s bloodstone. Only that amulet had been made of a darker stone...Hematite, she supposed. Same as the ring she usually wore in her nose...That was hematite..Another difference was that the bloodstone was like ice against he, even through her cloack and shirt.
I hardly even notice how cold it is..Am I always this cold? I suppose so, although I rarely notice...I wonder what shall happen when we reach these trees he speaks of. I suppose I’ll have to turn into a bat again....Some Vampire I make. I act Human most of the time...It’s time I embrace my new reality. If I don’t, I shan’t be able to survive in it.
‘Blade felt a new strength enter her body, her fatigue almost forgotten.
She almost laughed aloud out of joy, and began to let hserlf see the benefits of this new state of things.....It was about time after five years....
Tithy - May 8, 2006 03:06 PM (GMT)
The couple was now at Tithdaeron's hideout. He hadnt been here in some time, mostly because he was spending most of his time at the guild headquarters now. Nevertheless, you never know when your wall may disapear. That would come to a great disadvantage, especially when spending time with a lover.
Tithdaeron aproached the tree he normally perched upon, alighted, and landed on the biggest branch. The bushes below and clearing were just as he had left it. There were even still bloodstains from when he took Loriauna here after her attempted suicide so long ago. Tithdaeron looked away sadly, but remembered he had somebody else now.
He hoped that Umbra's advice was good advice, that keeping Blade in his life would be the best action rather than sending her off for 'her own safety'. Tithdaeron looked off to see Blade was also trying to land on the branch. He smiled through the night at her.
Silver~Blade - May 9, 2006 12:40 AM (GMT)
Silver~Blade did her best to land on one of the branches below her, but with little real success...She was just too rusty.
After a few minutes, she managed to perch on a branch near Tithdaeron’s and stay there.
”phew...This is so...embarrassing...I feel..like a moron.”
She looked at the area around her, the seemingly endless grass, that would be invisible just now if she was Human. She looked up at Tithdaeron and smiled, then reached back and unfastened his BloodStone and reached out to give it to him.
”Thank you..I’d probably have fallen if it wasn’t for this. I feel like such an idiot! This is usually why I don’t have companions..They suddenly realize how weak I am.”
Blade looked away from Tithdaeron sadly. Such a sad, sad way to live, was hers.
...She thought she saw something dark in the clearing below..Blood...? Yes, blood, but from what? A kill...?...No, far too dark for that. What could it be then?
....What could that be from? Not a kill, too dark. Far too dark. What....? Maybe this isn’t such a good idea..I...NO!! I refuse to give into this idiotic fear! I..I care about him too much to give in to this. No more.
Tithy - May 9, 2006 12:49 AM (GMT)
Tithdaeron chuckled lightly when Silver~Blade began to humble herself profusely. IT made here slightly more desireable, that she knew what her weaknesses were. It made him want to teach her how to use your weakness to your advantage. The key to surviving against all odds, and Tithdaeron was amaster at it too.
Tithdaeron accepted the Bloodstone and put it back on himself with a small 'clack' of the fastener on the back. The cold feeling returned, and then slowly subsided. Tithdaeron felt the dark energy feeding him again. "Dont worry, with practice you will get better. I am just good at flying because its born into me. I was once a half-angel... but thats a story for a different..."
Tithdaeron trailed off at the end. Blade was staring at the bloodstains below. And her eyes were as wide as dinnerplates. Oh no. Was she worried? Did she suspect that Tithdaeron would kill her? Surely not! Tithdaeron felt he should explain, that he had brought a person here injured and they were still bleeding at the time.
But, what if his knowledge of her surprisal further frightened her? Tithdaeron decided it would be best to take that risk. "My second love... she and I came here a few times before... in her last hours, brought her here. I tried to heal her, tried to save her. I couldnt remember if I was able or not. She is gone now. She tried to kill herself, her name was Loriauna. I havent cleaned that blood to remind me of her, how she came to me when I was ready to end my own life and gave me a reason to live.
"It doesnt mean I love you any less, but I owe her alot. I hope you can understand."
Silver~Blade - May 9, 2006 04:34 AM (GMT)
Silver~Blade looked at Tithdaeron, a strange sadness in her eyes.
”I see....I can understand that..The first real love I ever had saved my life quite literally....I tried to kill myself by staying out in the sun. He risked his life to grab me and drag me inside...”Blade laughed quietly.”When I tried to yell at him for it, he kissed me. And so it went. Rather ironically, he killed himself the same way I tried to. I couldn’t stop him, and I suppose I blame myself for it.”Blade’s eyes filled with tears, and she brushed them away with an annoyed grunt.”..No. I refuse to cry in front of you, especially over something like this....I suppose I owe her much as well, if she kept you alive. If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t have met you at all, would I?
Blade looked away from Tithdaeron and out into the darkness, not bothering to stop the few tears trailing down her cheeks.
Fool. Why are you crying?
Because it made me think of J’mae again!!
And that matters why?
...You have no heart, you foul, stupid being!!!
And you have to depend on other life forms because your blood cannot sustain itself.
What does that have to do with heart?
It means you’re WEAK.
Am I weak because I was attacked by a man who wanted me for his own purposes?
You’re WEAK because you let him have you!!!
LEAVE ME ALONE ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!IF IT WAS MY RESPONSIBILITY, SO BE IT!
For the first time in Blade’s life, she did not feel the presence of the Greater Vampire in her mind. It was gone. And would remain so.
Tithy - May 9, 2006 02:35 PM (GMT)
"Dont be ashamed to greive for someone you have lost. It can hurt the heart and soul to not do so. But you are right, these are happier times, and I dont feel like living up to my chaotic need to turn them dark just now." replied Tithdaeron. He shuffled over on the branch and cuddled up next to Blade, and put his arm around her and held her close and tight.
Her body against his felt wonderful. He felt cared for, cared about. He had someone to talk to, a companion and a lover. Tithdaeron's heart warmed, and in the cold still night he would have shivered, except for that his body was to cold to shiver in the first place. Such was the price of being undead. Tithdaeron would relish the day his life would end, but until then, he would get whatever enjoyment he could.
Silver~Blade - May 10, 2006 04:56 AM (GMT)
Blade smiled and leaned into Tithdaeron as he held her close. It felt good to be near someone who cared about her. Even so, she felt a little unworthy to be loved by one like Tithdaeron. Strong and sure...Like she used to be before all of this...
”Can I ask you something, Tithdaeron?...How long have you been a Vampire?” She asked tentatively. Some of those she had asked the same question had been offended, even to the point of hatred, over it. She thought it was kind of stupid to be insulted over something that..well...stupid!
I refuse to worry about his reaction. Either he answers me or he doesn’t. What’s so terrible about asking such a thing anyway? I don’t understand...They didn’t seem to understand that I didn’t understand..Or something like that. ...He said “I don’t love you any less”....He loves me. That alone is well worth any trouble I might give him or anyone else. No matter how weak I feel, I refuse to give in to that foul Depression again...
Silver~Blade looked into Tithdaeron’s eyes, her own almost glowing, as usual, with something that couldn’t be pinpointed by any normal being. But Tithdaeron could figure it out, she was sure.
It was Chaos mixed with Shadow. Apparently, the mix of the two powers produced a glow that showed only in her eyes..
Before Tithdaeron could answer, she sat up a little, turned just right, and kissed him.
This was the clincher. If he reacted badly to this, she wasn’t sure what she’d do...But it wouldn’t be pretty.
Tithy - May 10, 2006 02:35 PM (GMT)
Tithdaeron peered out over the plains, surveying the land as if he were th king over it. In a way he was, as far as he knew nobody else claimed this spot of the plains. But he didnt care, it wasnt unlikely that other people used this hiding place at times of the day and night that Tithdaeron wasnt around. It didnt bother him. Nature was to be shared to everyone.
Tithdaeron didnt expect Silver~Blade's next question, but he was slightly amused at it. How long? He hadnt thought of it until now. Tithdaeron didnt bother counting. About how old was he that night? Sixteen most likely... Tithdaeron looked back at Blade with a 'Im counting, hold on a minute' look. Her deep blue, glowing eyes were entrancing. Tithdaeron's own eyes responded, his deeper lusts were coming to the top of the storm of chaos within him and showing in the black red and white swirls.
Tithdaeron was about to say "Nine years", but before he could Blade reached up and kissed him. Another surprise, but certainly a welcome one. Tithdaeron kissed her back, and held her closer. His right hand cradled her head, and his left went to hold her back and press Silver~Blade closer to him. Tithdaeron stopped breifly, and then muttered "Nine years..." before continuing to kiss her.
Silver~Blade - May 12, 2006 10:59 PM (GMT)
[[I’m assuming Tithdaeron is wearing a cloak O_o Cuz if he isn’t part of this post makes no sense at all.]]
Silver~Blade got over her shock at Tithdaeron’s reaction quickly enough, moaning softly as he kissed her again. She smiled inwardly.
He’d only been a Vampire a little longer than she had..Well....four years longer, really...
She remembered J’mae’s lips had felt very cold–icy, even–When he’d kissed her, but Tithdaeron’s were different. Not cold, necessarily..At the moment, leaning more toward lukewarm.
Her hands snaked along his arms and beneath his cloak to his back, crushing him closer and cautiously caressing his wings as well.
...I’m thinking that I can’t think. I can’t think. Right. That makes a whoooole lot of sense, ‘Blade.
Silver~Blade could feel everything around her with piercing clarity–A soft breeze stirring the grass below them, Tithdaeron’s body–and his lips–pressed against hers...All so clear it was almost painful. She knew that just about every other being with wings she’d ever met loved to have their wings rubbed..SHE certainly did, but Tithdaeron might not...His wings felt like leather, not like Angel wings or any other kind of wing she’d ever touched.....Such a strange feeling...
Tithy - May 15, 2006 10:58 AM (GMT)
Tithdaeron was in near perfect bliss, and everything around him was in tune to him. He could feel the currents of air, smell the pollen that it carried, feel Silver~Blades soft skin tight against his own. Tithdaeron nearly began to fall into a dream-like state, and he wouldnt have minded one bit. He had found someone after such a long time, and he would give himself to Blade whenever she needed him.
His senses went wild when Blade began to caress his wings. Nobody had ever done that to him, it felt strange and new. Tithdaeron breifly stopped kissing Blade to look into her deep blue eyes again. They seemed nearly endless, as if he could trip, fall, and drown in them. "Thats... amazing..." he muttered, and lightly plopped onto Silver~Blade's shoulder as she continued to tour his wings. Tithdaeron's strength had left him, and he felt like a helpless child being tickled nearly to death.
((OOC:For a while he didnt have one, but well say he does now. ;) ))
Silver~Blade - June 4, 2006 01:47 AM (GMT)
Silver~Blade was shocked, again, at Tithdaeron's reaction. He seemed to have a knack for surprising her...She turned and kissed his forehead as he rested on her shoulder.
"Alright. I won't stop...I promise."
'Blade continued to caress Tithdaeron's wings, rubbing the strong muscle underneath the leathery skin and continuing to kiss his forehead as she did so.
She looked off into the night sky and sighed deeply, knowing that dawn would come all too soon....
