Title: Out and About

Kleric - June 13, 2004 05:53 AM (GMT)
Kleric walked about the villiage, everywhere he went, the humanfolk would stop and stare at them with curiosity. But wasn't it curiosity that killed the cat? The humanfolk looked at his dark skin and light hair as though he were some sort of monster. He was not monster, he was merely a drow. An unarmed, but fairly dangerous drow at that.

He ignored the onsought of the humanfolk with all he could muster. He looked around, and all he could see were brown buildings, dirt, a few trees, and humans. Blasted humans. Kleric thought, Humans may be a bit dim-wited, but they have emense amounts of courage...

And look at you, poor child of a human birth. How do you go about the day being so dirty? he spoke to a young girl that was standing next to him, gawking at his skin. He lifted her in his hands, to his eye level and looked into her eyes. He took one hand and brushed some dirt from her face. Now, run back to your mother, before a monster gets you! he said jokingly to the girl.

He looked back up and saw a strange figure, not too far from him, closing the gap between them...

Alaster - June 13, 2004 06:09 AM (GMT)
The black assassin knew not why he was in this village. Maybe, the loneliness of living in the darkness had gotten to him, or maybe, he just felt like getting into the sun, something he had not done in years. He lived in the shadow. He is the shadow, or atleast that is what he had been tought many years ago.Venorik Streea was his name. The name used to strike fear into any living thing's heart. But those days had been long forgotten in the pages of time.

Venorik had walked into the village maybe seconds ago. No one yet was aware of his presence, even though he was dressed in black in the middle of the day. His movements were too fast for human eyes to catch. Though, maybe an elv could spot him....maybe. Venorik had stopped by a small village girl to get a good glimpse of a drow he had seen. Out of all of the races on Arda, the drows were his favorite. It was they who had tought him to live in the shadow. He grinned at the sight of a drow. He hadn't seen one in decades, maybe even centuries.
"What brings you to this mediocre village, drow?" Venorik said as he suddenly appeared behind him, making sure none of the townsfolk had seen him. He stood back-to-back with the drow, where none of the humans could see Venorik speak with the dark-skinned elv.

Adsero - June 13, 2004 06:14 AM (GMT)
Adsero was lying on the edge of the roof of a building neer the two men. She was bored out of her mind for the most part, wishing she could go burn something but realized most everything had been burned once already and she hated to burn things twice. She laughed as she listened to the drow's conversation, if you could call it that, with the little girl. Humans for the most part repulced her so she always found it amusing when other people felt the same and expressed that feeling in some way. She decided to watch for a second to see how the conversation between the two went.

Alaster - June 13, 2004 06:35 AM (GMT)
Venorik raised his hand to eye level with his face. In his hand he held one of his throwing knives. He was using it as a mirror, looking off of its reflection to see if anyone had spotted him. The humans still had not a clue that he was there. When he was about to put the knive away, he cought a glimpse of a woman sitting against on the edge of a roof. Venorik had been around long enough to know what all of the guardians, gods, and goddess's looked like. And the woman sitting on the roof's edge, was the Guardian of Fire, Adsero.
"Do not speak, you are being watched." Venorik stated. The spirit leaped from behind the drow, holding five throwing stars, and threw all of them, aiming for the guardian's head. Once the blades were flying through the air, Venorik teleported into an alley, near the village's tavern.

Adsero - June 13, 2004 06:44 AM (GMT)
Adsero was startled to see blades coming towards her. She rolled out of the way and then went back to the edge of the roof. "What in fires name was that for! You trying to kill me?" She jumped down from the roof, wincing at the pain that ran up her legs. She sat down on the ground. "You shouldn't piss guardians off you know. We tend to be spiteful, no matter what our allignment." She looked around. "But for some reason, I don't believe you threw the blades. So, I am not going to burn you. But wh did attack me...?"

Alaster - June 13, 2004 06:53 AM (GMT)
Venorik would have grinned, if he had a body to grin with. He then took out five more throwing knives to continue the assualt on the fire guardian. Venorik teleported alley to alley, throwing one knife at Adsero at a time, making sure she did not know where the attacker was.
"You are going to have to do better than that, Guardian, if you ever want to live." He said this as he teleported, making the sound come from all of the alley ways.

Adsero - June 13, 2004 06:59 AM (GMT)
"What the-!?" Adsero was starting to get really angry. She didn't lke things to be thrown at her(which you should know by now since this is the third time you've tried to kill me.). Adsero stepped away from the drow and a very hot sheild of fire surrounded her entire body, melting the knifes a foot before they reached her. "I am tired of you games. SHOW YOURSELF!"

Alaster - June 13, 2004 07:09 AM (GMT)
Venorik's laughter could be heard in all directions from where Adsero was standing.
"How do you even expect to win a fight like that?" Venorik asked. His voice, again, came from all directions. Venorik looked around, knowing that his knives could do no more damage, he found a bucket of water by the tavern, perhaps placed there in case a demon would not start a fire in it again. He picked up the bucket and threw it at the Guardian.

Adsero - June 13, 2004 07:17 AM (GMT)
Adsero jumped back, getting splashed a little with the water and hissing at the pain. "You are one mean arse bastard, you know that? Your only problem is that I'm immortal, your not." Several fireballs appeard on the ground and spread out in different directions. "I'll find you yet my small annoyance. After that, who knows what I'll do?"

Alaster - June 13, 2004 07:24 AM (GMT)
" It isn't wise to play with fire." Venorick said. The flames would easily burn down this small village in an hour or so. And it would be Adsero's fault if everyone died from the fire. Venorick knew that there were atleast 100 people that lived in this village, and if the Goddess of Life found out that one of her own gaurdians had done this, who knew what the consequences would be.
Venorick grinned at the thought.
"You have so many flaws in your personality, I'm suprised your current form hasn't been destroyed yet." He said laughingly.

Adsero - June 13, 2004 07:30 AM (GMT)
"Why not? It's not like this town hasn't been burned once by me already. Plus you seem to forget that I am fire. I control it and this town will only burn if I want it to." She continued to talk, giving the fireballs time to find him. "And my current form is usually laid back and friendly but you decided to throw things at me. That pisses me off, thus Ms. Psycho angry woman. I have a very short temper, so what?" She smiled, the fireball had found him, and she now knew he was teleporting. She gave all of the fireballs form and gave them orders to attack him on sight. "I know where you are now. You can't teleport yourself away anylonger."

Alaster - June 13, 2004 07:36 AM (GMT)
Venorik laughed at the demi-god's feeble attempts to kill him.
"Teleportation is only an easier method of doing my job, I don't need it to get past your little "flamers". Venorik said. He leaped past one of them, and grabbed the girl whom the drow had talked to earlier. He held her up in the air by her dirty hair.
"This may be cruel, but I was tought to use anything to acheive victory." He said as he held the girl in front of him, makin sure that if he went down in flames, the girl would come with him.
"If you wish my death so much, than kill me. But I must warn you, if I die, she dies with me." He said with a more serious tone. The girl was expendable to him. He had made much worse sacrifices in order for him to live in the past. This was no different.
"Kill me, or leave. Kill me, and the girl dies. Leave and she shall be spared." Venorik stated.

Adsero - June 13, 2004 07:52 AM (GMT)
"You suck you know that. You are now on my personal death list. Only three other people made it to that list.(you, you, and someone who pissed me off in an rp)" Adsero walked away from the two, headed off to a bar where she could release her anger on some stupid drunks.(I'm going to make sure to kill mazer several times over, him being the only immortal character of yours. last time I checked at least....)

Alaster - June 13, 2004 07:57 AM (GMT)
"You have made a wise decision. Venorik said as he gently sat the girl on the ground. Her mother ran out, picked her child up, and ran back over to her original spot.
"You monster!" She shouted at Venorik. The spirit just took out a throwing knife and threw it beside her face, leaving a small cut on her cheak. She didn't say a word for the rest of the time Venorik was there, which wasn't long, because he just took off into the shadows, and left the town.

Kleric - June 13, 2004 03:20 PM (GMT)
Why must we fight? Kleric asked himself and the others. Is there some sort of war between fire and shadow that I am unaware of in these lands? Strike not your foe, become thier friend, alliance is much more beneficial than war. he spoke.

He looked at the brawling two, which no one else in the villiage seemed to see. They must be spiritual beings, or very powerful. Kleric wasn't afraid to fight, he just found that getting along was much better. But everyone does have those days when they just want to cut someone's head off, no matter whos it is.
