Title: Revenge

Nardia - April 10, 2006 12:15 PM (GMT)
Nardia dropped from the skies and landed in the Pirate's Cove, her wings folding gracefully behind her. With her head held high she walked with a predator's grace down the darkened streets, dark blue eyes scanning the rough crowds, daring them to say something or make any sudden movement at her unexpected appearance.

The men whispered behind their hands and finally one moved as if to walk over to her, but he never made it. A silver knife had cut through the air before he had even taken one step in her direction, landing in his throat and killing him instantly. Looking around she once again dared anyone to make the slightest move with her dark eyes and when no one did she retrieved the knife, wiping it casually on the dead guys clothes before moving on.

The news spread fast and soon nearly all the pirates were out staring at her with malice in their eyes, but she ignored them, or say they thought. Her footsteps led her to an old rundown tavern with no sign and she stepped in and walked swiftly over the bar. Grabbing the barman by the front of his shirt, she stared him down till he looked away, before anyone could move to stop her, two men were dead and another lay moaning on the ground with a stab wound to the thigh.

"Now that we've settled that, I am looking for a Captain Kilarian. Do you know where I could find him?" she asked casually, letting the poor barman go and sitting neatly on a stool.

No one was anywhere near her now, all had fled, either to gather some men to return with or hide away on their ships. It didn't matter to her which one they had chosen. She cared naught for their pathetic lives.

"Ah... umm... Cap'n.... Kil... Kilarian is... is upstairs. Wo... would ... you like.. me...to ... to get .... him for you?" stammered the barman and Nardia nodded, letting the guy go get him.

A few moments later a large ruggard man walked down the stairs, looking around the empty bar which had been full of drunken revelers not long before and now was left with only two dead men and one sounding as if her were dying in the corner.

"Nardia, dear... why do you do this?" Kilarian asked in an exasperated sigh.

Nardia glared at him.

"Why do you do this?" she asked in return, her eyes blazing furiously as she turned on him.

"Nardia, please, calm down. Let me explain." he said, walking over to her now.

"NO!" she cried. "I will not hear of it! I will not! All you say are lies! Lies! And I am through with having to come to this godforesaken place when you mess up! Kil, I am done with this and if I have to kill all your men just to prove how serious I am, I will and you do not want that."

Kilarian's eyes darkened at that and he stepped a little closer to her.

"Now, be nice Nardia." he said. "There is no need for threats."

"Oh, I beg to differ Captain. For you see, you have taken something from me. Something I hold very dear." she whispered. "And I have come to take it back."

"Now dearie, come now, what have I taken of yours?" he asked with a chuckle. "I've been nowhere near ya sweet heart."

Nardia only growled and stood, her wings flexing agitatedly, making her seem taller than what she really was.

"You know exactly what I am talking about, Kil." she replied, malice lacing her words like ice. "You killed my mother. I saw you. I watched you. And you did not stop there, no, you took the one thing that was truly precious to my family. The silver rose pendant you wear around your neck is not yours, Kil, and you know it. It is mine now that my mother is dead. I may be a fallen angel but I am the last one in my family and that pendant is rightfully mine."

The winds picked up a little and a shiver was sent down Kilarian's spine, the barman now nowhere to be seen.

"Come now, I didn't know it was ya ma. I wouldn't have done it if I had of known. Now be nice.... Nardia... I'll sell it to ya... cheap too... but please... don't just take it... I need some kind of compensation for its loss..." he pleaded.

Nardia ignored his whining and reached out a hand, pulling the cord that tied the pendant around his neck roughly, it snapped and before he could react it had disappeared into one of her deeper pockets, safe from his prying fingers.

"Now, that wasn't so hard, now was it?" she asked softly and patted his cheek.

Kilarian howled in rage and pulled a knife on her but she had seen it coming and had already pulled her own dagger out. Before he could even touch her she had plunged the silver dagger into his flesh, feeling the warm blood gush out in torrents over the blade and her fingers. He was dead before he hit the ground. Wiping the dagger on his clothes she collected the three throwing knives she had thrown earlier and left. There was no farewell party waiting for her and so she left as swiftly as she had come... smiling.

Revenge was sweet.

Kirana - April 12, 2006 01:18 PM (GMT)
Kirana followed the angel as she walked down the street. She intrigued her, and wanted to know, why an angel wanted to be here. There had to be a reason she was in a pirates cove. Which brought her to asking herself why am I here?
OK, that was different. We're talking about an angel here...she was...supposed to be good...
Kirana followed her, keeping her steps very quiet, which wasn't much of a problem.
When she saw the dark angel kill a pirate...
She shook her head softly as she thought, "Alright, there's a sign, but why would an angel turn bad?"
But then a thought struck her....She gasped, and wanted to stop following, but her curiousity pulled her towards the angel...

Kirana watched her enter a tavern and stealthily followed, ignoring the wild looks of the surrounding pirates.
She watched, and waited, until the angel finished her...'conversation' with the captain, and killing him.
Kirana felt the same for her parents, wanting to kill all of the fire dragon's for massacring her villiage, and killing almost everyone there.

Suddenly, she walked in and found herself saying, "That was a good revenge. I wish I could track down my parents' killers and kill them..."
She then gasped and wanted to walk out of there... but it was too late... The fallen angel had already seen her.

Nardia - April 12, 2006 09:31 PM (GMT)
Nardia turned, cold calm eyes looking at the woman who had just walked in and spoken to her. She said nothing for a moment, just studied her. Dark blue eyes piercingly sombre and lit with a passionate fire. She smiled softly and began to walk out the door.

"Hmm... revenge is sweet, even in the most disgusting of places." she laughed but did not turn to see if the woman was following or not.

The pirates had scattered and now were nowhere to be seen. She looked about for any sign of life at all, but there was nothing and her lips curved once more into a cold smile, and her eyes shone darkly.

"The feeling of power is one few get to feel, but even rarer is the feeling of satisfaction from revenge." she whispered, feeling the woman's presence still behind her.

For once the presence of another did not annoy her or set her on edge. Yet she did little in the way of making friends with the her or make her feel welcome. Although she did nothing that would make her feel like she was being pushed away either.

Kirana - May 6, 2006 09:15 AM (GMT)
Kirana looked closely at the charater, seeing that something bad once happened in her life before. She knew the feeling and experienced it before, but did not want to say it, in case she waould turn her dagger on the poor half dragon.

Inside, Kirana was scared of the fallen angel, but she wanted to know more about her...what had once happened in her life.

She did not have the powers to mind read, or to see into the unknown, so she took a risk.

"What happened?" she whispered softly

Nardia - May 7, 2006 12:18 PM (GMT)
Nardia turned slowly, gracefully, like a predator. Her eyes glowed like dark pools of the night and her smile was cold. She chuckled distantly and walked over to the woman, wrapping an arm about her shoulders she led her over to the dock and stood there with her looking out at the endless rippling blue sea.

"Now that is a story one can only guess at." she chuckled, almost warmly. "No one knows the story behind a fallen angel. It is a tainted secret, rarely heard by another."

She looked at the woman, the coldness dissappearing and all that was left was a cool breeze and a trace of death.

"Your lucky I didn't slit your throat." she laughed, removing her arm from around the woman and took out one of her throwing knives, playing with it as if it were a harmless toy.

She felt in the woman a familiarity, a similar yearning of revenge, for an endless hurt or betrayal caused by a damaged past.

"What are you doing here on an island, a Pirate's hideout at that?" she asked casually, flinging the knife into the air and watching as it glinted in the sun, catching it easily with one hand. "A puzzle indeed that, for it is hard to be free on an island full of pirates unless you are one or are feared by them or by some unlucky twist of fate you became a prisoner and yet you do not look like one."

She felt relaxed after killing the cause of her pain and yet it was only the beginning, for her pain went much deeper than that, but it was a start. And thus she felt more open to companionship, for if it had been any other time the woman may not be alive still, for she did not take well to people prying into her past.

Kirana - June 2, 2006 05:33 PM (GMT)
Kirana felt the openess in the fallen angel. It was different to others that she had met in Arda. Somehow, this fallen angel never talked to people, or even liked them. There was something strange going on here...

The wind played with Kirana's hair as usual, as the fallen angel took her outside. The wind was playful, but with a lot of vigour, since she was very close to the ocean.

"I'm here because I want to be a pirate," confessed Kirana with a wistful sigh. "I want to have adventure, plunder ships, go into battle, feel my sea legs..."
She twirled around in the salty air, loosing herself in the adventures that might come...

"I'm sorry, I'm getting a little carried away, aren't i?" said Kirana, blushing. She then turned to look at the fallen angel, with a new look in her eyes. It was fear. The fallen angel has heard her secret and right now, she was pretty against pirates, after what she has seen what she had done to the last one...

Kirana bit her lip, closed her eyes and hoped for the best. Best meaning that the fallen angel wouldn't kill her!

Nardia - June 4, 2006 09:54 AM (GMT)
Nardia watched silently as the woman spun in circles and sang the praises of pirates. It would seem she knew naught of the truth about a pirates life, preferring to believe in the fairytale of a life at sea.

"Have you ever met a pirate?" she asked softly. "For I fear you are under a very pretty little delusion if you believe the life of a pirate so swell."

She chuckled coldly but made no move to harm the woman or in anyway scare her off.

"Would you kill anyone? I don't just mean, men or women but children as well, just to get what you want? Just to take what is not yours and then return to a hell where you must fight to survive... for the weak do not live in a place like this. They are run down by the stronger before they are able to get their bearings and make a place for themselves." she explained bluntly. "No one gets a second chance. For when one is dead, what second chances are there to be had?"

She was silent for a long time, stretching the cold quiet to the limits and letting her words sink in.

"Now, is a pirates life what you really want?" she asked in a whisper. "Do you really want to kill those who do not deserve to die? Do you really want to take what is not yours and then be hated wherever you go? Tell me... is this what you truly want? For I can make it happen, if that is your wish or..."

Here she paused, watching, silent, like a predator about to pounce on its prey.

"Or... would you rather I show you a different life?"

Kirana - June 25, 2006 06:56 PM (GMT)
Kirana stopped spinning around in circles and listened to what the fallen angel had to say.

As she listened, she heard things that she hadn't heard before... a mystery that her curiousity wanted to uncover...

She looked in to the Nardia's eyes defiantly, hiding nothing of her curiousity away from the fallen angel. "I will be a pirate, no matter what. I'm sick of the boring life on land and I'm always considered as a petty girl." She stomped her foot in anger and threw back her head. "I want more adventure, even if it means killing innocent people," she whispered.

She brought her head down again and looked at Nardia again. "Not like you care...or do you?"

Her hair played around her face once more, making her look more defiant than before, her silver eyes flashing dangerously in the afternoon sunlight.

Tanov - June 26, 2006 07:29 PM (GMT)
A female pirate walked into the pub, she had a blue bandana tied on her head that kept her hair out of her face. She watched as two women talked and sat down. She called a barmaid over to her and ordered an ale. The barmaid nodded her head and left, she sat down and watched the two women talk. 'Apparently she has something against pirates. So why is she here? Where pirates easily outnumber her?' she thought.

The barmaid brought her her ale and set it on the table, she motioned the barmaid to come near and she whispered, "who is the fallen angel who dislikes pirates?" she asked. The barmaid merely shrugged. She paid for her drink and waived the maid off. "A fallen angel who will kill a pirate on sight, I wonder if she would try and kill me if she got the chance? But another life? This would be interesting to see." she said to herself. Suddenly she felt someone hit her back. "TANOV! Well if it isn't the lovely Tanov. So what brings you to this FINE establishment" said a pirate whom she immedaitely recongnized. "Hello Captian, I came here for a rest, and if you would be so kind I would like it if you treated my shoulder a bit less roughly, I was injured recently." The Pirate captian grabbed her hand and pulled her to a stool on a platform. "I appologize. Come on Tanov. Lets hear one of your songs." He picked her up and set her on the stage. This got a cheer from a few of the barmen and barmaids. "Come on Lass. Play Blow The Man Down."

Tanov realizing she could not get out of this one took out her flute and began to play Blow the man down. The Captian took a beer mug and laughed and began to sing. "I'll sing you a song a good song of the sea.."

Nardia - June 27, 2006 05:52 AM (GMT)
Nardia only shook her head in silent dissapointment.

"I care... little." she replied. "For if it is really what you want, I cannot stop you."

She looked up as the pirates began to sing, shuffling her wings in agitation.

"I cannot stay here. I fear my welcome ended quite some time ago." she said. "But I wish you luck with your dreams."

Here she smiled almost warmly, but it held a hint of coldness.

Kirana - July 7, 2006 04:49 PM (GMT)
Kirana listened to the female pirate sing about tales of the sea, and really stupid pirates, which Kirana laughed about. She didn't care what the fallen angel said about being a pirate. She wanted to be one, whatever happened.
But despite all the dreaming and wishing of being a pirate, she never got round to asking to be one...
Hmm,, she thought. I wonder if that pirate might help me...
The half dragon waited until the pirate singing, until walking up to her.
"I heard that song you sang," Kirana said quietly. "I wonder if you could teach me?"
