Alamor sat on the sandy beach, listening to the waves crashing against the rocks. Even though he was a Fire Demon, he loved the ocean. It was strangely warm down by the beach, so Alamor had taken off his shirt to cool down, showing his muscled body. He loved the smell of the salty air of the Ocean, and the beautiful sunset it made. Where is she? he wondered. They were supposed to be on a date, and he had been waiting for almost half an hour. He stood up and turned around, blocking the glare of the sun with his hands watching for Illyria.

Illyria hurried along the beach. She'd had to get a ride with three peasants on their way to town!
As she neared the ocean, she saw Alamor watching for her...shirt off and all...
Oh, my. Oh my oh my oh my...God he's hot. . .
She waved at Alamor and ran a little faster, showing her catlike speed.
"I'm sorry I'm late. But didn't you hear me say I didn't know how to get to the coast?"

"Yeah. Sorry about that....." he said embarressed. "I was just so eager!" He smiled. He then hugged Illyria and turned around to look at the sun setting on the horizon creating a pink glow in the sky. "Isn't it beautiful?" He asked her.

Illyria returned Alamor's embrace and looked at the sunset.
"Yes it is beautiful. I love this place even though I've only been here a short time....Kind of like how I feel about you. I love you even though I've only known you a short time....Which is completely out of character for me..."

He laughed. "You think that's bad? How about not finding a girl for over 5,000 years?!" He then looked down at Illyria who's face was lit up by the light of the sun, making her even more beautiful. He smiled and said, "I know it has been a short time since we met. But haven't you ever heard of love at first sight?" As he said this, he looked deep into her beautiful eyes, overtaken by her beauty.

Illyria laughed.
"5000 years?? Is that how old you are? ...I suppose that's pretty normal for a Fire Daemon, isn't it? I can't imagine having lived so long....Not that you're old, it's just...wow. Anyways!! Yes, I know of love at first sight. I believe in it too. Look at us, for Haven's sake! ..I've had loves before. I always lose them. As soon as they realize I'm a Changeling, they run off, often in the middle of the night..." Illyria looked very sad...

He bent down in front of her and lifted up her chin. "Well, I'm not like that. I know just how you feel. The reason I have not had a girl before was because I am a Demon. Everyone is really Stereotypical against demons; they think they are all evil. I think that it's actually kind of neat that you are a changeling!" He kissed her lightly on the lips then stood back up and stretched.

Illyria smiled and watched Alamor stretch
I've thought it before, I'll think it again and again I'll bet.
God, he's hot..
"I'm glad you're not like that. I don't believe in judging people by their race. I judge people by getting to know them. ...Still..I don't think there's a single other person in the world left like me...Changeling that is...It's a lonely existence, you know? I'm glad I'm the only one, though. ..Alamor, what was your childhood like? Where did you grow up?"

Alamor Sighed. "I was born and raised in a small village up in the Valomire Mountain range in Valador. My clan had been fighting the Half-Dragons for quite some time now, and I guess they decided to put an end to it. While the village was asleep, they snuck in and started killing people. I woke just in time to see my mother and father slaughtered before my eyes. I have hated Half-Dragons ever since." He said in a gloomy tone. He turned to Illyria and said, "So, what about you?"

Illyria hugged Alamor.

"I grew up in a fortress in a land far away from here. Even on another world, I've been told. My father kept me locked up and only called me for....well....Things a father shouldn't do to his daughter. He was a mage, you see, and a Changeling, more than I ever will be. He actually looked like a giant cat! ....He was killed by a mage called Firesong. Since then, I've been "free" to wander...But no one loved me until I met you..Not really anyway. They said they had to leave me because I am basically half cat. Even if I don't look like it..."

Illyria looked sad and Alamor could tell she was about to cry...

Alamor huggeed her again to make her feel better. "It's alright now. You're going to be fine." He was shocked at how much she had to go through when she was younger. "You don't need to worry about being a changeling anymore. I think you are fine the way you are." He said in a loving tone.

Illyria smiled, stood on tiptoe, and kissed Alamor.

"And I love that about you. You don't care what race I am....Too bad FireSong did. He said the only reason he saved me was because his FireBird bothered him about it! How depressing is that? Oh well, it doesn't matter. ...Can you swim, Alamor? I love to swim, even if I am part cat."

Alamor smiled. "Of course I can swim! Just because I'm a fire demon doesn't mean I can't swim!" He chuckled. "I'm not an elemental!" He then asked Illyria "Why do you ask?"

Illyria smiled.

"...cuz we're on a beach. And I think the water's warm. And I've got my swimsuit thingie. I want to go swimming!!" She replied. "Oh, and I know you're not an elemental...It's just that with the whole fire thing going...I don't know, you being able to swim makes about as much sense as me being able to swim."
She then took off her archer's uniform, revealing a MODEST two piece swim suit.
Alamor could see that for all that she was part cat, she was NOT covered with fur. Her bellybutton was pierced, though...

Wow. He thought. Luckily he had brought his swimsuit just in case. He removed his pants, showing his red colored swimsuit underneath. He turned to Illyria and said, "After you!"

Illyria smiled at Alamor and ran into the waves.
She had been right. The water WAS warm.
Very warm. Rather unseasonably so, in fact. Good.
...DEAR GOD HE'S HOT!!
She dove under the water and swam up to the surface, her hair now wet
and beginning to return to its natural state--curly. Chestnut brown and blue striped ringlet curls now covered Illyria's head, but she didn't much care. After all, it's all natural this way.

Alamor watched her for a second, then did the same. He ran straight at the beach, then dove straght in, cutting through the water like a torpedo. When he finally surfaced, he had to swim a little bit to get to Illyria because he had gone out a little too far. When he finally got to her he said, "Water's a little warm huh?"

Illyria smiled at Alamor.

"..I've been outswum by a fire Daemon. I've seen it all," she said, sticking her tongue out at him. "mleeeeeeah"
Illyria did a few backflips under the water and surfaced dangerously close to Alamor . She realized how close she'd gotten and swam backwards to get a little father away...

When Illyria surfaced, they were face to face, not 7 inches from each other. Alamor gazed in surprise at how close she had come. He floated there, waiting to see what was going to happen.

Illyria leaned toward Alamor and kissed him. Not a kiss like their first or the ones they'd had earlier, but a more...mature one. MUCH more mature.
God I hope he reacts well to this..I haven't known him all that long but this is something I've wanted to do since I met him...

Alamor gratefuly returned the kiss. This kiss was different from their first one though. It was better. More intense. He liked it. He liked it alot. He continued the kiss for a while, not wanting to let go of Illyria.

Illyria was glad Alamor had reacted like she wanted him to, and this kiss was different than any she'd ever had before.
Not only did Illyria kiss him, she carressed his mind as well..
Yes!

As it was getting good, Alamor felt a sharp sting on his leg and he yelped in surprise. "What was that?!" He yelled. Then he felt it again. He looked down into the water and saw small, white animals floating underneath them.

"Huh? Oh! What the?! That's a good question. Whatever it was, I suggest we continue this on the beach itself. After killing those things. What do you think?"
Illyria sounded slightly disappointed. It had just been getting good!!

"Oh! They're just Jellyfish. They won't kill us." He grabbed Illyria by the waist and jumped out of the Jelly fish and onto the shore. He sat her down and said, "Now where were we?"

Illyria smiled.
"Right about here,"she replied and kissed Alamor again, letting herself get carried away with the kiss and the fact that she was in love with the man she was kissing.
Yes indeed. Yes I am in love. And nothing is going to change that.

Alamor returned the kiss as he had done before. Alamor loved Illyria. He loved her beauty, her smile, and her personality. All were perfect. This was the first.....No wait, second time they had actually kissed, and he liked it. Alot.

Illyria loved that he kissed her back like it was life or death if he didn't. She started to caress his mind again, using her prowess there to help her here.
Yay! I'm in love I'm on a beach and I'm not alone!!!!

Oh yes! He started to become overwhelmed by passion, and kissed Illyria with ever more passion. He was on the brink of just going crazy and tried to restrain himself.

Illyria could feel Alamor going tense, trying to restrain himself.
..I wonder what would happen if he DID go crazy?
She contined to kiss him and carress his mind, subtlely pushing him furtherr toward the edge, further and further toward losing it and going crazy.
If she could get him to go crazy she'd be a happy Changeling indeed.

Alamor couldn't help himself and just snapped, and French kissed Illyria. Right now, he was feeling better than he had ever felt before ever in his life. The first girl he had actually talked to liked him. It was overwhelming.

Illyria kissed him back, clinging to him, painfully aware of the fact that alll that separated their bodies was their swimsuits yet unable to do anything about it.
And yet...and yet she didn't want to do anything about it, either. This was enough. For now.

After a while, alamor finally broke the kiss. He breathed heavily, and sat down on the sand. "I have never done that before." He said atsonished. Ashamed he hadn't done it sooner in his life.

Illyria laid back on the sand, dazed, her lips almost swollen from kissing him so passionately.
"You haven't? Oh, good, neither have I. ...None of the kisses I have had compare to that. Nor will they. Ever."
...God I can still taste him....I think I'll be able to for the next..Millenium....

Alamor smiled and layed down on the sand, putting his hands behind his head. "I strongly agree with you." This was the best day of his life. He layed there on the beaced, closing his eyes and listening to the ocean.

Illyria watched Alamor as he laid on the sand, apparently completely relaxed.
"Why close your eyes and miss the coming night?"She asked, looking up happily at the sky."Do you ever wonder that people watch us from the night sky, Alamor?"

"There sure is. there has to be something that makes this world tick." He sat back up watching the beautiful sunset, which was now a deep pink and orange. Alamor smiled and looked over at Illyria and said, "I love you Illyria. I always will."

Illyria smiled and scooted closer to Alamor.

"I love you too. And I always shall as well. The world is a beautfiul place tonight, isn't it? The sunset, the ocean. And I got to enjoy it all with you."
Illyria turned and looked into Alamor's eyes.
The differences that arise are obvious:
Race, class....All of those things. But the reason we fit so well isn't that we are so alike. Exactly the opposite. We fit well together because we ARE different.
Difference is a strength, not a weakness, as is emotion, two lessons that I have learned today and tomorrow and all other days I shall remember that Alamor and I are living proof that differences should be celebrated.

Alamor smiled again and hugged Illyria, pulling her closer. He looked out at the sunset, seeing the sky had gone from a deep pink to a deep blue. He hadn't realized how long they had been out there! But he didn't care. All he cared about was Illyria right now and her warm touch. He smiled once more.

Illyria smiled when Alamor pulled her closer to him.
The world was at peace for once, and she was going to enjoy it as much as she possibly could. She was laying on a beach with her love, and nothing could make her mood turn sour. She wasn't surprised to find that Alamor was very warm, warmer than any other man she'd had a chance to lay next to.
She laid there lazily and traced invisible patterns on Alamor's chest with a finger, enjoying the feel of his skin which was fairly smooth, surprisingly.
