Raewyn walked into the forest and smiled. She could never get enough of the place. It was beuatiful in her eyes. The trees moved in the breeze and seemed to whisper their sercrets to her. It was her home... kinda. She was more accustomed to it. She traveled alot but of all the places she had been the forest whether it be the Misty Forest and Taurai woods she felt more at home there. The cool air seemed to be an excape from the everyday madness.

Raewyn twirled around a bit, laughing quietly, before sitting beside a brook. She dipped her hand in the brook and layed down on the soft grass her bow and sword at her side.

The soft swoosh of the brook of the rock and the hum on the wind in the tree's every wandering limbs made her quite drowsy. The more she tried to stay awake the more she seemed to doze, Until finally she drifted off to sleep her black hair faned out over the soft forest floor.

Avree stalked through the forest cautiously, shortbow drawn with an arrow knocked. Taking careful steps she avoided making any noise. The female drow noticed something near the brook up ahead. Still cautious, Avree moved in closer to see what it was..

Standing about fifty feet away, using a tree for cover she got a better look. What have we here, the drow thought. The creature appeared to be a woman of the elven race. An elf, Avree thought slightly laughing..

Avree then began to advance much closer. Paying more attention to the elf, then where she was stepping, Avree stepped on a stick. The stick made a loud crunching noise. She was sure the elf had heard it..

Even in her sleep Raewyn heard the crack of a stick. She shot up nocking a arrow in her bow as she did. Her eyes quickly adjusted to the sight. A drow....
Raewyn jumped to her feet and held her bow out towards the drow hoever she did not let go of the arrow yet.

Her eyes stayed on the drow but her mind was whirring with possible ways to get out. She had ran into a dorw before and it had almost cost her her life. She hoped this Drow wasn't as equipped and inlightened as the other dorw had been but she had her doubts.

Avree watched the elf jump up and grab her bow. As the elf knocked an arrow, Avree ducked behind a nearby tree. Using it to partially cover her body. The drow raised her bow, holding it steadily out in front of her with a knocked arrow..

What to do? A smile played across her face. I could always kill her.. the female drow thought.

After a few more moments she decided she wouldn't. Well at least not yet. This was the first creature she had met since leaving The Underdark. She could have some fun with this elf..

Raewyn watched as the Drow moved behind a tree. She could see the Drow's body but just barely. She also could see her bow. Hoever the arrow was still knocked. She hadn't released it yet.... why? Raewyn figured it had something to do with her being an elf and that Drows seemed, like cats, to love to play with their food before they ate it. And right now Raeywn felt like supper.

Raewyn moved herself behind and tree and bite her lip. She was cut out for this... she was a ranger after all but sometimes she just wanted to cut all of the hard stuff out and settle down. Quit her traveling and stay in one place. However now was not the time to reevaluate her life making descisions. She held her bow down and peeked around the tree afraid about what she might see.

Avree watched the elf move for the nearest tree. Within moments the drow had lost sight of her. Hm.. she began to think..

Then the elf peeked out. Smiling Avree still did not leash an assault. "We can keep this game of cat and mouse up all day.. Or we can both come out." Avree said loudly enough for the elf to hear..

She was known to be cruel, and heartless as a mercenary. But she hadn't been hired by anyone. So, Avree was hesitant to assault the elf. How long it had been since this drow had enjoyed the company of another creature.

I'll only kill her if she attacks me first. Avree thought as she stepped out from behind her cover. Revealing her prone body, the drow began to lower her weapon..

Raewyn exhaled as she listened to the drow. Come out? How crazy was that? It didn't seem quite smart but themn raewyn saw the Drow step otu and lower her weapon. Raewyn thought for a second. What did she have to lose? Oh yeah the simple thing called her life!

In a split decision she stepped out her bow raised. She had a set harded look on her face she lowed her bow a tad but not alot.

"I always fancied a good game of Cat and Mouse... " except when she was the mouse. This was turning out to be a parsdise in hell.

"As have I." Avree said, letting that simple smile play across her face. She grabbed her arrow and but it away, then slung her bow to her shoulder. Avree knew what she was doing. With no weapon out, the elf had the upper hand..

The drow was still toying with the elf, but Avree didn't let it show..

"What is you name elf?" She said with cruelness in her voice as she said the word elf. Not too fond of elves. Avree was enjoying this..

Raewyn lowered her bow even more adn step slightly to the left knowing that if she had to dodge a weapon she could. As the drow asked Raewyns name Raewyn laughed.

"My name is to no importantace to you Drow. To you I am the Ranger and thats all you have to know. " She could hear the coldness laced within the Drows voice but she also had put cruelty in her's as well. Ever since she had come in contact with the other drow she had slightly strayed away from the falls but now even now they were looking to be quite a paradise... if the other drow wasn't there.
