Title: A wounded beast will attack a friendly creature
Description: Enter Slypher

Slypher Greywind - May 7, 2008 03:13 PM (GMT)
Slypher stummbled down a path in the woods, in obvious pain and discomfort from an arrow sticking out of his back. The damned hunter had hit him with an arrow. Crimsion blood trailed behind him as he staggered further down the trail and out of the deepest part of the woods to the lighter area, where the birds flew and the sound of people could be heared in the distance.

Suddenly Slyphers vision became blurry and he felt suddenly weak. He fell to a knee and tried to catch his breath, but it was becoming exceedingly more difficult. He wanted terribly to just lay down and rest for a moment, but he knew that if he did that he would be dead for certain.

Suddenly he heared a sharp gasp and slowly turned his head to the source. You young boy, no more than 15 was standing on the train behind him. 'Oh sir!' The boy exclaimed, 'Please, let me help you!' Slypher had not the energy nor the ability at that time to protest. And so, the young child, with a gentle touch pulled the arrow from Slyphers back and began to cast a healing spell. Instantly Slypher began to feel his strength return to him.

The boy began to speak again, much to Slypher's distain. 'Sir what happened to you?' He asked. "It is none of your concern." replied Slypher, slowly getting to his feet. 'But sir if someone attacked you you should let the gaurds know!' The child protested. "I told you it is no ones concern but my own, and you would do well to let the matter rest." Slypher said, anger clearly in his voice. "But sir..'

The child said nothing more as Slypher brought his mace quickly to the side of the boys jaw. "I have no patients for your questions." He said as he stood over the unconcious child. A small smirk played on his lips. "It is a good thing you are so good with healing spells, because if you are not dead, you are surely going to need one when you wake." He smiled, he had not swung his mace in to long a time. He began to walk down the trail towards town again and then stopped and looked at the child, and then his mace. "Hmm..." He said to himself. "The child has seen me... And it would do no good to put the city on gaurd of me just yet." He thought allowed. "Well...what shall I do." He wondered to himself as he sat on a log next to the unconcious boy.

Carlie Garnet - May 7, 2008 09:12 PM (GMT)
Destnai was walking the woods, she had a dream about these woods where a boy was wounded the very night before and because she was a dream dancer she was probably right. Destani was indeed a dream dancer, she could dance on the line between the world of dreams and the world of rality. Her people were long ago killed accused of evil craft, but that was long forgotten and now when people saw her light mahogany pink eyes, the higlights in her hair, the streak across her eyes and the glittering swirl marks running up her legs, arms and neck they just thought she was an elf or fairy with no wings, they were however wrong. Light mahogany pink was her power color, the color that appeared on her skin after birth and the color in which her physical magic appeared in.

Destani now walked through the woods becuase of her dream, she felt she had to go find whatever it was that had hurt the boy she had dreamed of, she let her intituion and magic lead her to spot that she saw in the forest. Her feet lightly hit the ground and made dead leaves crunch, she was only 17 and had a small 105 lb body that made hiding and running easy and fluid. Her face was doll like, her cheeks full, lips curved and soft, though not necisarilly very large, her eyes glittering in a way that says it holds secrets, pain, and joy all at the same time covered by black lashes.

Red marks appeared on the ground below her as she walked, it was blood, and it cast a trail, was this the blood of the boy she had dreamed about? The trail went on for a little ways and she followed it quickly and with much curiosity, her adrenaline pumping as to the danger or death that may lurk on the end of this trail of blood.

Destani followed it until it ended, at the end she saw a man with brown hair sitting against a log looking like he was in pain, but in this realm you didnt approach a stranger unless you knew them. And unfortuantly because she was distracted she had walked to close to hide from the man, she stood before him and crossed her hands and arched one eye brow as if asking him for his name or searching for traces of danger. Her dream showed no man to her, only the boy that lay unconcious by his side.

Slypher Greywind - May 8, 2008 01:02 AM (GMT)
Slypher was in a good deal of pain. Apparently the young boy that had healed him hadn't done a good a job as he had first assumed. True he was no longer in danger of dyinf, but the pain was so unbearable now that at times he believed that he would pass out from the pain. He reached a hand down and felt for a pulse on the child. He was still alive, but just barely. He sighed and shook his head. Part of him questioned why he had hurt a child so young and innocent. However another voice spoke louder to him. 'Remember your youth. Remember how you where treated. You where hated and feared. All the times when you where a child that people would attack you and leave you for dead. They did not care about you. And you should not care about anyone else.' The voice said. He sighed. That was true.

Since he was young he was always attacked by people. In fact the one person that he found that had ever loved him was his mother. And she died because she would not allow some strange man to kill him. Well, through all that the world had thrown at him, Slypher had learned how cruel the world was. And there was no point in letting anyone, even one so young wait until they where older to find out the pain that was waiting for them. Better to learn in now then when they lose someone they love.

'Perhapes,' he thought 'I will keep the child with me for a while. At least until I am back to my normal self.' His thoughts where suddenly cut off. He had heared, or thought he heared the sound of leaves crunching under someones feet. But it sounded so faint and distante that he paid it no mind. Until a young girl, who appeared not yet old enough to know the ways of the world appeared in front of him. And it startled him.

Slypher was the kind to attack first ask questions later. Quickly, inspite of his large stature, He was on his feet and had a hand on the girls throat. "Who are you and what are you doing here?" He asked, as he began to raise his mace. But he acted to hastily. Sharp pain ran through his body, starting at the point where he had first been hit by the arrow, and he fell to his knees, in obvious pain, his breath coming quick and shallow, but he asked again, as he tried to catch his breath. "Who...are you?"

Carlie Garnet - May 8, 2008 01:10 AM (GMT)
Destani felt the warm strong hands on her neck and winced, he had grasped it with much strength and before she had time to run his eyes were boring into hers but she simply stared back almost affraid to look away for fear of being hurt or showing weakness. Then a look came over his face and his gaurd flickered before he fell to the ground droping her in the process. She watched as a man with great power fell, it scared her. She too fell but recovered quickly she stood up and saw the cause of his pain, there was an arrow mark in his back, and it bore in quite deep her eyes saddened for him, but she kept her mouth still so he would not read into what he would be able to see from the ground.

The wound was deep and red, it looked far too painful to fathom. She tore part of her dress and gracefully jumped to his back before he could react and placed it on his back. The blood seped through but it would help a little bit.

Destani then backed away a few good feet so he would not have a chance to get mad, she was helping him. I hope this guy is ok but he looks like he has a bad temper..... She thought trying not to roll her eyes in front of him.

Now she adressed his question. She walked infront of him then sat down before him on the ground, much of her legs were showing, along with the light mahogany pink swirls running up her legs. "I am Destani." She nearly asked who he was but he seemed the type that did not have the patience for questions.

Slypher Greywind - May 8, 2008 01:36 AM (GMT)
Slypher's breath was comming fast as the young female placed her soft hands on his back as she attempted to help him. He could not remember the last time some one had touched him to help him rather then to try and kill him. It actually felt...nice. He shook his head. Why would she help him though, she must have known he had attacked the young boy, and he had just grabbed her by the throat.

"I am Slypher." He told her, his breathing slowling down slightly. "And I thank you for your assistance." He said as he tried to stand but promptly fell back to his knees. He was already feeling better, but his strength had left him and he could not even stand. He looked into her mahogany pink eyes with his green ones.

Again he asked her a question, but this time with more composer than last time. "What are you doing out here so late young one?" He asked. "And why did you help me after I tried to attack you?" He asked.

So used to being attacked, compasion was an emotion that was lost on him. He had grown up in a world of live and let die. Where strength bought you the right to live. And the weak would often not make it through the night. And a world of course of betrayal. Which was something Slypher knew all to well.

Carlie Garnet - May 8, 2008 01:46 AM (GMT)
His breathing was strained, her own was regular, she watched him with great intesnity, his green eyes and brown hair. Therew as something about him that even made him handsom. Now she could tell he was lightened up, she still stood up straight and put her shoulders back, but now she smiled if only a little at the man who, looked to be not quite that much older than her on the ground.

Destani smiled showing her white teeth, her smile lighting up her face. "Slypher, you are welcome." She said as she watched him try to stand, and again falling to the ground. Destani winced as she heard him fall once more. Again she ripped off a smaller amount of her gown and placed it on his back and put some preasure on hit with the palms of her hands.

Again he questioned her as she put preasure on his wound. "I am here because, I had a gut feeling about something....good intution I guess." She said giggling a little. To the second question she didnt quite know, but ehr dream lead her there for a reason. "Because, I couldnt leave a handsom, wounded man alone now could I?" She said with a slightly teasing tone. Destani couldnt possibly tell him the truth.

The blood seeped through still, but not as badly this time. Now it was going through slower, dots of blood stained on her dress, still she held it firm for moments longer before cautiously leaving it on its own and sitting in front of him.

Slypher Greywind - May 8, 2008 02:00 AM (GMT)
Slypher shook his head and sighed a little. "Perhapes it would have been better for the world if you would have left me here." He said, more to himself than anything. "I am an evil person and did many evil things." He said. Though this young half-demon was not always evil. He though back to the day that his best friend had betrayed him. And his hand moved and gently touched the scar that ran over his eye.

And as he thought of that betrayal he felt anger building inside of him. His hair started to turn a shade of black that was darker than midnight and his eyes started to turn a shade of red that was as red as the blood that had been flowing from his back.

A voice inside of him stopped the change though. It was the voice he seldom listened too. 'Not this time. She means you no harm and is being nicer to you than anyone ever has.' The voice said. 'Just becareful that she isn't using her niceness to get anything from you, his demonic side told him.

He decided to get off of this argument that his human side was having with his demon side. "I have a question I wish to ask you." He said. "You have a very...unique eye color. And what are those marks on your arms and legs?" He asked her.

Carlie Garnet - May 8, 2008 02:09 AM (GMT)
The words spoken hurt Destani, who could anyone think of themselves like that? She thought. But now I know he is evil aligned, I will know to be careful, however he hasnt done anything mean to me yet, he hasnt hurt me severely, and the first harm was a fluke. She thought this and crawled over to face him a smile on her lips. His hand traced a mark by his eye, she had not noticed before. She squinted to look at it better but quickly stoped when she realized she was staring.

He began to change, his hair turned black his once green eyes now red. He looked like he was thinking but arguing with himself when this happened, his eyes watched her with an intensity that scared her for a few moments then, as quickly as it came it went, again his eys were green, and his hair was brown.

Again he asked questions, yes he was quizative and this made her smile. She would ask more about him. She reminded herself. He asked about her eyes and markings they were a part of her skin just like her skin was white the swirls were pink. Her eyes were also light mahogany pink, and in them she saw the realm of dreams, but she chose to lie. "They are tattoo's, and my eyes I cannot explain I'm affraid." She said though her markings did not look needled, and her eyes looked glittery. "How did you end up here with this kind of wound, maybe I can help you get back to safty." She offered placing a hand on his shoulder.

Slypher Greywind - May 8, 2008 01:50 PM (GMT)
Slypher smiled slightly and let out a small laugh. "Very well." He said to her response about the markings. "I suppose we all have secrets about ourself that we must keep." And he added with a faint smile. "Though I can tell there is more to you than just a pretty face." He said.

He felt her soft hand resting on his shoulder. "This wound was a simple accident." He said to her. "I was deeper in the woods coming from a distant land... my home land I suppose, though I have never truely had a home there, when it happened and a hunter had fired at a deer. His arrow barely missed his target but found my back quiet well." He told her, with a small laugh. He decided that it would probably not be nice to mention the hunters untimely and quiet painful demise to the young girl.

"As for getting me someplace safe." He said, with a sigh. "There is no such place for me. When people realize what I am most either run in fear or attack me." He told her. "No there is no safe place for me in these lands or any other. Not since the day I was born."

Carlie Garnet - May 8, 2008 02:07 PM (GMT)
Destani laughed back, her smile growing larger she listened intently. And was glad that he didnt aske more, but glad that he assumed there was more. "Thank you I aprreciate that. What is more maybe you can learn later, just not now." She said gently.

Now the story was quite funny but it would be rude to laugh at a man in pain so she held back her laugh and just smiled broadly her eyes playful. "From what I can hear this hunters aim must have been aweful. But his arrow must have been one determined little pain in the back." She said again turning to his backa nd putting more preasure on the make shift bandage she had put on the wound.

Destani thought about it, someplace safe, there was ofcourse her home, but it was kinda small, or there was the realm of dreams where she could tend to him, but she had yet to realize her full power to be physically there. Looked like her home was the best option. "My home. You may come to my home. I can find a healer some where, and there you can rest and go into another world with no pain." She said.

Slypher Greywind - May 8, 2008 02:29 PM (GMT)
Slypher nodded. "Thank you." He said to her. He put his arm around her shoulder and started to stand, leaning his weight against her for support. "But if people learn you are harbering a half-demon in your home, it may cause trouble for you." He told her. "Many people think poorly on demons, half-demons, and anyone that keeps company with there ilk." He added.

He looked around and suddenly his heart sank as he looked at the child he had attacked, and wounded badly. "What of the young boy?" He asked nodding towards the child uncouncious on the ground. It was obvious that the boy would live, but his jaw was broken and dislocated. And he was going to need medical attention or he would be permantly disfigured.

He sighed. 'All the boy did was try to help me.' He said to himself. He would not have a restful nights sleep today. He knew it. Mostly because he had never had a peaceful sleep. His sleep was always filled with nightmares, and tonight would be no diffrent, he was sure.

Carlie Garnet - May 8, 2008 02:39 PM (GMT)
The mans weight was heavy on her, she was a small person but he was close to her age, or so she guessed. He was indeed a half deamon, his deamon side would show, and she would have to be careful when it did, but for now...He was good in her mind. "Your welcome, Its ok I dont really care what people think of me, they will they what they like and I cant change that so why should I worry about it? Well my friends are party animals so I think thier used to it by now." she joked smiling up at him. And it was true her friends did do crazy things that made the villagers gasp.

Destani had forgotten about him and now she felt aweful, he needed help also. She let out a sigh, she was always the helper, very rarely did she get helped herself. She leaned Slypher gently against a tree and put a hand on the boys forehead, he woke up with an attempted smile, her touch could banish the nightmares because of her dream walking abilities, though that did not mean she didnt have them herself.

"Come with me, we can help you. Dont be affraid of that guy he just has sa bad temper." She said putting an arm arround the boy and holding his hand guiding him, and going back to Slypher letting him lean against her.

"Thank you for telling me what you are...." She was going to ask what he was like as a deamon, but decided agaisnt it. "I'm a Dream Dancer." She said taking the risk, if his acnestors knew that there was once a time where her kinds was banished and evil tried to sway them and they denied surly he would not like her anymore.

Slypher Greywind - May 8, 2008 03:02 PM (GMT)
Slypher looked at the young girl. He had heared of their kind. "Do not worry, I know your kind choose not to join the demons. But I could care less about the demons. They will have nothing to do with me, and I will have nothing to do with them." He said. Destani had a look on her face as though she had a question for him. "If you have a question for me, or about me please ask it. This may be the last chance you get to ask." He said with a smile.

He looked at the young boy that was now awake and with them. He looked extremely frightened of Slypher, and givin there first meeting he had good reason too. The child looked at the mace hanging on Slyphers side and seemed to try and move farther away from it, extremly frightened of it.

Slypher could feel the fear, and his demon side feed on it. "Ah to be feared. It is such a great feeling. Fear makes men weak, and easy to bend to your will.' The human side intergected. 'But how can you live with every one in fear of you? You would never have any gentle human contact again in your life.' His demon side laughed loudly. 'And save for today, with this girl that knows very little about you, when was the last time you had gentle human contact?' Slyphed sighed. His two sides where going to start fighting again. And very rarely did his human side win. But he desperatly needed it to win this time. If it didn't there was a good chance he could hurt this young girl that was trying to help him.

Carlie Garnet - May 8, 2008 03:08 PM (GMT)
Destani felt bad for asking for this was an improper request but her curosity was getting the best of her so the words escaped her lips. "Can I see what your deamon side is like? For a moment only?" She asked still holding the boys hand as he hid behind her therefore making her arm akwardly twirl arround her back still she held his hand firmly.

The boy held tight to her bare legs and traced the lines absent mindedly making himself feel better she let him, but he stopped and peeked out behind her his jaw becoming swolen she felt bad for him and maybe he would abide to her request so she turned to the boy and smiled. "Go on that log, and sleep you will need it, I promise you will have good dreams." She kissed his forehead and patted his back in the general direction of the log, he stumbled over gave one last glance to them both and closed his eyes laying down on the log.

She watched him, it was happening again, his deamon side was interfearing, she may see it sooner than she thought. His eyes fought with himself, anger and annoyance showed along with an evil smirk that was on his lips for moments before it left.

Slypher Greywind - May 8, 2008 03:21 PM (GMT)
Slypher was slightly suprised and bite his lip slightly. "I...I don't know. You where the first person ever to be kind to me, and I don't want to hurt you." He said to her. But it was too late. His demon side used that question to take control over his human side.

Slypher dropped suddenly to one knee. His hair turning from brown to get black and his eyes turning the deepest shade of red. Moments later two great demonic wings burst from his back in a spurt of blood. Slypher laughed a deep, evil laugh and got to his feet. "Becareful what you ask for young one." He said raising his head and looking deeply into her eyes, as if he was searching her soul. "You may just get it." He said.

He moved towards her. Suprisingly quickly and drew his mace. In a matter of seconds he had the mace resting against her neck. "Let your fear out. I know it is in there little one." He said gently tapping the mace against her neck. "Let me taste your fear and I may make your death quick and painless."

An evil smile played on Slyphers lips. 'Don't do it!" His human side called out. But at the moment he was to far gone into his demon side. His wings streached to there full length and folded back in. A thought came into his mind and Slypher smiled more and he replaced his mace to its place on his side and he grabbed her and threw her onto his shoulder. "Ever been flying?" He asked wickedly.

Carlie Garnet - May 8, 2008 03:50 PM (GMT)
Destani saw the fear of himself in his eyes and narrowed her own watching him. "Its o-" was cut off by his transformation, his hair tunred black his eyes red, great, beautiful but dangerous wings burst from his black, blood hit the ground. He stood up and looked into her eyes, and she stared back, in awe, amazement, fear, and a kind of danger that intruiged her. Be careful what you ask for you just might get it, why did she not listen to those little things?

Before she could move his body was behind hers like a wall. The cold blade of the mace stroked her skin, and his hot breath snaked down her neck. He wanted to taste her fear, pain, and death. "You will never get a hint of any of those things." She said defiantly with as much confidance and spunk as she could gather at the moment.

The mace left her neck, but another, kind of playful smile played across his lips, before she could react he had his hands arround her waist and she was on his back holding onto his shoulders for dear life, looking at his wings and feathers, they looke so soft...

"Not with some one such as you!" She said and then she did something that astounded even her, she found that he best way to react to major character changes was to act the same around both so she gave him a quick wink then quickly regreted it.

Slypher Greywind - May 8, 2008 04:09 PM (GMT)
Slypher smiled. "Well then, here is your chance." He said. And he took off quickly, flying mere inches off the ground at incredible speeds. "Hold on tight. It would be such a shame if you fell off." He said to her as he made a sharp 90 degree turned and flew straight up.

As he flew he kept on arm infront of his face to protect him from the branches that they where breaking through. Squirrels and bird scattered as they flew through the trees.

His evil smile stayed on his face as he wondered if Destani would be able to hold on to him through the flight. Suddenly they burst through the tree tops and where in the open sky and still climbing higher. His wings flapped gently in the air as they climbed.

Soon they where very high, and in thinner air. In his demonic form, he had no problem handeling the thin air. He stoped flying for a moment and just hovered in on spot. "How are you holding up back there?" He asked with a laugh. "Well don't let go yet." He said as he dove at an angle down toward the earth again.

The ground was rushing towards them quickly and at almost the last second he pulled back up and got above the tree tops again. He laughed loudly as he began to soar a few feet above the tree tops. After a few minuets he began rolling, seeing how tightly she could hold onto him. "Having fun yet?" He called to her.

Carlie Garnet - May 8, 2008 04:20 PM (GMT)
The man took of with no warning no nothing, she let go with one hand and a shriek left her mouth, with all her might she put her other hand on his shoulder and tried not to make him go deaf by screaming into his ear. Somehow she felt safe....but not safe enough, the branches cut her skin a few times and her hair had a bed tossed look to it.

Soon they were in the air, the coulds were amazing and the view was breath taking, she looked down and couldnt help but smile, however the air was thin and she was gasping for breath a few times in the sky. "I'm ok I thin---nnn--kk! Her words were slurred as they rocketted back down toward the earth and dirt. The angle was sharp and it tossed her hair, though a smile couldnt help but play across her lips as her stomach did flip flops within herself.

He's not stoping! she thought as they got closer, and closer, and closer, though at the last moment he did twirls and spins. She held on tighter and got a better grip, her palms on her chest and her arms arround his neck she was close to him so as to not fall to her certain death.

"Is that all you've got?" She said like a whisper her breath practically gone, but she was too prideful of a creature to not let him see how much fun she could handle.

Slypher Greywind - May 8, 2008 04:34 PM (GMT)
Slypher was angry, at her calm demenor. "Well I know how to get you frightened." He said to her. He flew in the direction of the nearest town. Making sure that he flew low enough to be seen by the gaurds of the city. He smiled as he heared the warning bell going off.

Suddenly arrows began to fill the air around them. And they where very close to them. "Ahh, know you see why I told you no place is safe for me." He smiled evily. "Well if they would try to kill me, then I suppose I should try to kill them." He said as he grabbed his mace off of his belt and flew quickly towards the city wall.

He swung and there was a clang of metal as his mace struck a gaurd in his chest, caving in the armour he wore. The gaurd coughed blood out of his mouth as he fell backwards off of the wall and landed with a thud on the street bellow.

Slypher turned and flew straight up again and hovered there, letting out an evil laugh. "Is that all you have?" He called. The arrows continued to fill the air, and one was comming straight towards him.

With a quick movment he snatched the arrow out of the air. "Notice, how when I approached I should no signs of hostility. I attacked only after they attacked me." He told her as he began to fly back towards the forest.

Suddenly one arrow found it's mark. Slypher felt as the arrow tore through his wing. He let out a groan of pain, and with only one good wing, the two began to fall from the sky.

Carlie Garnet - May 8, 2008 08:33 PM (GMT)
Well now she learned that you cant dish anything out to deamons because that only ticks them off, she would not make that mistake again. "Oh man..." She said when he told her he could scare her. She was not doubting him at this point. Now they were by the village, and the warning bell went off the clink clank of the bell made her heart sink as they sunk through the air.

Arrows sailed through the air with ease, she pressed her body closer to his as if he were a sheild. She saw as the shine of metal hit her eyes for a moment. "Dont hurt them! The are ignorant, they dont know how you can be!" She shouted to him tempted ot rip the mace out of his hands but it was too late....

A gaurd was split open, metal and blood coming together in a deadly mix that killed the man, she watched as his body slumped to the ground. And the life left his face, she pressed her face against his neck so she would not have to see anymore.

"If you dont show signs of hostility, lust, pain, happyness, or sadness what am I to expect of you? They didnt know any better!" She shouted anxiously.

The worst happned, an arrow reached his wing, and peirced it through she heard a groan as they began to fall slowly to the ground. Destani screamed and began to panic, this was not good. She reached out with a free hand and did something that he would surly be mad about later, she pulled with all her might and ripped out the arrow.

Slypher Greywind - May 9, 2008 12:43 AM (GMT)
"So what makes their lives more important than mine?" He called to her over his shoulder. "I attacked them only to defend myself. They attacked my because of what I am. You should know what it's like. There was once a time when dream dancers where also considered to be scum of the land."

He shook his head. "The last time I let someone know how I felt about things, what made me happy, what made me angery, they used the information against me. A man that I had known, and considered my friend for 15 years of my life tried to kill me using the information he had gotten from me."

Slypher winced in pain as she ripped the arrow out of his wing. A spurt of blood followed as the metal tip left his wing. Though the pain was great, he was able to somewhat slow and control the decent. HOwever they where still crashing, and it was not going to be good.

For the first time since he had changed into his demon form, his human side was screaming, and winning the fight with the demon. 'Save the girl.' It said to him. 'Protect her. She saved your life, and even know is not showing any signs of hostility towards you.' Slypher nodded slightly.

He looked over his shoulder. He sighed to himself. She probably was going to think he was trying to kill her. But it needed to be done. He was able to control the movment of their crash enough to drop straight down for a second, breaking the grip Destani had on him.

He immediatly spun around and faced her, wrapping her in his arms to keep her safe during the crash. They where now, just over the tree tops when the worst happened. His eyes returned to there normal soft, green collor and his hair back to brown. And of course the wings withdrew back into his back. There speed picked up as they plumeted through the trees. He wrapped her tighter, attempting to protect her from the branches that where breaking against his back and against the impact that would be happening any second.

The impact hurt. It did not knock Slypher out, but it knocked the wind out of him and caused great pain. He loosened the grip on Destani and winched in pain. It caused great pain to breath, and he knew he had fractured a few ribs. "Are you ok?" He asked the young girl.

Carlie Garnet - May 9, 2008 01:31 AM (GMT)
Destani could connect with him, there was a time when Dream Dancers were considered vile creatures that were evil and scum. So because of this they were nearly extinct, killed hurt, she was not alive then but she knew of the history that so wounded her kind.

He told her about his betrayls, the people who hurt his heart in his past. She decided now that she would never do that to him no matter how long their friend ship lasted or didnt last she would never, not even to the demonic side that she held on for life at this moment. She ran her fingers through his hair for a moment then quickly felt embarassed for doing so. "I wont ever do that to you! You must trust me!" She shouted back to him so he could hear past the whistling of the wind.

The decent was becoming smoother, but only by a little for they were still plumeting to the grass and tree's. She put a hand on the wing to try to stop the bleeding, yet it still came from the beatiful black feathers.

As the ground came closer she saw a small move of his head it was like again he was aruging with in himself, and a side had won though she was not sure which. He turned to look at her again with his red eyes, and her's burned into his with great intensity. Before she knew it she was spinning and now she was upside down, but the strenght of his arms held her strong and true. She still had a grip on his shoulders and looked into his face and saw the fear in it. Again his eyes were green, his hair brown. She pressed her body against his to keep from being pained, and somehow as if to help him.

The tree's were leathel they cut her legs, seperating th swirl patterns on her skin, they hit the body with intensity and sounded like a million whips coming at them both all at once. Again she held on tighlty, his protecive grip was warm and comforting, she would not let go.

Only moments later she felt the impact of the ground, he was in pain she could tell, they slid a few yards, she winced at the pain he must be feeling but he held tight still, she burried her face in his chest he must be so hurt. She thought to herself. They finally stopped she was till on top of him but was scared to leave. She laughed at his quesiton. "Yes, thank you." She breathed her mind still racing, then she did something that suprised even herself. She leaned down and for only two fleeting moments her lips pressed against his his and her eyes closed. Soon the was utterly embarassed and got up off of him and began tending to the wing.

Slypher Greywind - May 9, 2008 01:53 AM (GMT)
SLypher closed his eyes as he felt her lips press softly against his. He felt something he had never felt before. He felt warmth flow through his body and it was odd to him. But just as quickly as the kiss began it was over and she was tending to his wounds.

Slypher stood and winced in great pain. He was going to be in some pain the next few months as his ribs mended. He sighed and shook his head. "That is why I don't like getting close to people." He told her. "That is why it is not safe for me to be around anybody that I do not wish to kill or have get killed." He told her.

He moved to face her and took her soft hands in his rough ones. "Why are you being so kind to me?" He asked her. "I have done nothing to deserve this treatment." He said to her.

Carlie Garnet - May 9, 2008 02:04 AM (GMT)
Still she was embarassed by her behavior but smiled as he stood, and gently put a hand on his shoulder pressing him down back to sit on the ground. He should not stand for many many days no matter how much that may plauge or bore him. She must have done something wrong for he shook his head, Destani frowned and looked at him intently.

"I dont not thing you would kill me Slypher." She said looking into his green eyes, and searching deeper for the deamon, so that side of hom would know also what she said. She smiled. "You have done nothing to give me a reason for me to treat you badly, you havent physically harmed me, and you havent killed me. I do not belive in juding those before I know them. Besides, your kinda fun to fly with." She said trying to make a joke.

When he took her hands she smiled, his hands had cuts and she traced out a couple of them with her fingers before releasing her hands from his and tearing another peice of fabric from her dress that was from the events of the day becoming incressingly short. She walked toward his wing and began to bandage it up as best she could.

Slypher Greywind - May 9, 2008 11:14 AM (GMT)
He looked at her for a minuet. "I already tried to kill you while we where flying." He said to her. "If my human side hadn't taken control at the last minuet I probably would have just let you fall to your death." He added. He shook his head. "No one is safe around me." He said more to himself than anyone else.

He laughed a little. "You know, today just hasn't been my day for arrows." He said as he rubbed his sore side gently.

As she moved behind him to treat his injured wing, it imediatly went back into his body and his hair and eyes returned to there human color. He stood again wincing in pain as he breathed. "Thank you for your kindness." He told her. "Though I do not deserve it." He said softly.

Carlie Garnet - May 9, 2008 02:36 PM (GMT)
Destani laughed and rolled her eyes. "You are the most difficult man I have EVER known!" She said. "I'm going to be nice to you becuase I want to for whatever crazy reasons I may have, however if you want me to be mean to you I shall. Dont worry about it, it seems to me that so far, you've been ok." She said giving him a gentle smile.

Destani laughed also then frowned for a moment then laughed. "Yes I dont think they like you very much!" She said. When she saw his sore side she again ripped her dress, but had decided seh could not do one more rip after for the length would be far too short and wrapped it arround his side.

She stood up with him and began to walk in the direction of her home, ushering him along. "Well your welcome, I cant help it, your kinda cute in a demonic sort of way."

Slypher Greywind - May 9, 2008 03:23 PM (GMT)
He sighed and shrugged his shoulders. "Fine, but don't say I didn't warn you." He said to her as he stood and leaned against her again. He smiled suddenly and let out a small laugh. "I wouldn't expect one so young to know that many men so early in there life." He said teasingly. Then he looked down and laughed again. "My my my...decided to show of some leg today?" He asked her, as her dress had now seemed to become an incredibly short skirt. Infact, where she to tear any more material of he was certain it would do little to no good in covering her in any way.

"So, I have heared of dream dancers before." He said as they walked on. "But what exactly are they?" He asked. "I know very little of them. Which for someone that has lived as long as I have is kind of strange." He told her.

Yes, in his 115 years of life he had heared so many folk lores and myths. Many of them well founded. As he often found out the hard way. "Though I suppose that stories of your kind have died out with the majority of your race." He said considering why he had rarely heared anything of dream dancers.

Carlie Garnet - May 9, 2008 09:11 PM (GMT)
Destani laughed when he finally gave in, they were getting closer now. "I'm glad your finally being agreeable." She said teasing him. "I know a fair amount of men," she said laughing. "many of them are my friends. She looked down, her legs were nearly all naked, you could see the patterns wind its way up her legs, calfs, and thighs. The patterned simmered slightly in the sunlight. "Yes as a matter of fact I did, do you like?" She said hugging him and wraping on leg around him as a tease before gong back to walking to her home where they could rest, soon the sun would be down.

He asked of her heratige and at this point she didnt mind telling him. "Very few do, Dream Dancers are those who can physically move to the world of dreams, send messages and force other to fall asleep, however I have yet to try any of them." She admitted with shame, though she knew she could if she wanted to.

"Your right very few people know about it now, many of us are gone, I'm one of the very few left. I can help others have good dreams, but that does not mean that I always do. In fact it can be crazy how I dont have control over my dreams at times. It can become frustrating." She said still carying his weight.

After she stopped talking again she realized the great cut in her leg along with the pain that shot up her let creating it diffictult to walk, soon it became too much to hold up a man including herself with an injury and she fell to the ground with no sound.

Slypher Greywind - May 10, 2008 07:26 AM (GMT)
Slypher couldn't help but to laugh. Only moments ago he had tried to kill this girl, and know she seemed to be hitting on him. What a strange creature she was. 'Perhapes when I am healed I shall let her live.' He told himself. For that was the trick wasn't it? To get what he wanted, which was all healed so he could get back on his quest of seeking those he deemed unfit to live, and seending them to their god.

"Yes, they do look nice." He said with a smile. But suddenly, after he spoke those words she had fallen to the ground. Slypher moved quickly, tearing cloth from his raggy shirt. He saw easily where the wound was and began wraping it in the cloth.

After he had wraped the wound, he bent over and took her in his arms and lifted her, carrying her craddled in his arms like a small child. "Well, I have absolutely no idea where your home is." He told her, looking down at her. "So you are going to need to provide the directions." He said with a gentle smile.

Carlie Garnet - May 10, 2008 04:46 PM (GMT)
Destani laughed with him she was out of nature a wrecklessly flirtatious creature, also a confusing one at that. And she assumed it would do no harm scince this man would probably bolt after he was well anyways, why not take a walk on the wild side?

When she hit the ground she gave a small yelp but not out of pain but of the shock of simply falling, this time he was the one to rip his clothes. It was only fair, she was nearly bare naked at this point, now his bare chest showed she couldnt help but stare for a moment or two before he scooped her up fluidly amost and held her in the air so she would not have to walk. When he asked for directions she nearly died laughing.

"Let me go!" She said teasingly kicking her feet and squirming out of his arms, she was sure he would not survive much longer with her doing this. But still she laughed and kicked the air vicously even though with a move of the mucles in her one leg it shot up pain.

orka_jade - May 10, 2008 05:03 PM (GMT)
Orka was sitting as a small squirrel watching the to below him, plotting out his next couple moves. I'm not about to mess up here.. Orka thinks in his head as he leaps to the ground looking over the two, studying them further, reading their movements trying to get a feel for how they fight if it comes down to it.

The shifter races back of the tree and hides in a knot-hole as he begins to glow and turns into a small, green snake. He crawls from the tree and slithers down into the grass, staying away from the girls feet, but still watching them. He realizes two might be a bit of a hard battle for him at this point, unless he can kill one off quickly.

He ponders for his next couple moments. I can wait a little longer. He thinks staying low in the grass. Orka, still in snake form, crawls up the tree again going back into the knot hole, still watching the two meticulously.

Slypher Greywind - May 10, 2008 06:25 PM (GMT)
Slypher smiled as she kicked and squirmed playfully, trying to get out of his grip. "Nope." He said. "I can't have you standing on that injured leg of yours." He added. "Because if you injure it anymore, you will be in to much pain to even now where you live." He said.

He looked down at her and smiled. "So sorry, I'll be carrying you. Now calm down or I'll have to carry you over my shoulder." He said with a small smile as he kept walking down the path.

"Now I really hope it's in this direction, or me walking this way is going to just be a waste of time." He said. "Now, if you could please tell me where to go?" He asked her with a light smile on his lips.

orka_jade - May 10, 2008 06:37 PM (GMT)
The snake crawls from the knot hole and follows the two. But he stays out of range of eye sight by remaining the the high grass. The slithers along and watches. He just watches, watching their movements. Watching their flirting and listening the every word.

Orka waits for the perfect time to strike. The shifter keeps crawling through the grass as he dodges the thicker blades of grass not wanting to slow down his pace, because its hard to keep up even for him in this jungle of grass.

Carlie Garnet - May 10, 2008 07:38 PM (GMT)
Destani rolled her eyes. She would win this argument and thats just the way it went. "I'm not the one with an arrow wound in my back this must be killing you, its ok I can walk, unless you want to fly we can get there faster. "I certianly will not calm down!" She said kicking still and trying to squirm out of his tight grip. At one point she took a break, folded her arms and blew a piece of hair out of her face before continuing on in her world of kicking and hitting his arm sure he would have bruises the next day.

She smiled back and pushed a peice of light pink mahogany hair out of her eyes. "Make a right turn the go straight here, after that it should be about 15 minutes." She stopped for a moment to catch a breath she heard something in the grass other than Slyphers heavy foot steps she narrowed her eyes and purposefully rolled and fell out of his grasp onto the tall grass...there was something wrong.

orka_jade - May 10, 2008 07:56 PM (GMT)
Crap..covers blown The snake shifts quickly into a Naga, his katana around his waist he catches Carlie and looks deep into her eyes. His red eyes stair deep into hers as the sun reflex off his blue-ish green scales.

His eyes wonder to Slypher as he pulls out his katana and drops Destani, putting the katana to her neck. "Give me your gold or the girl dies." The Naga said as he presses the katana to her neck.

Carlie Garnet - May 10, 2008 08:03 PM (GMT)
She was caught in the embrace of a dangerous stranger, it scared her and made her breath run cold, when she looked into his eyes she squinted slightly looking just as deeply into his trying to search his mind, his dreams. His fears. His scales are hard but warm against her skin, something that sends a chill down her back but still she kept her head up and her shoulders straight.

For the second time in one day she felt the cold steel of a blade against her neck. This is fantastic she thought to her self though she was suprised thats all he wanted. "All you want is gold? Well you wouldnt have to kill me or put this blade up to my neck for that you big baffoon." She said. But it was one of those moments where you didnt realize you said it outloud, but unfortunatly, you had. She winced and rolled her eyes in annoyance in herself. "MAybe we can make a deal?" She said keeping still, her hair falling infront of her big eyes and full cheeks.

Slypher Greywind - May 10, 2008 08:05 PM (GMT)
A smile played Slypher's lips. "You would be dead before you could even ready your blade to attack me." He said as he took a step forward. His eyes once more turned as red as blood and his hair as black as midnight, his demonic wings sprouting from his back.

His 6'2, well toned, muscular body moved forward more. "Do not be stupid young one." He said as he pulled his mace from where it rested on his side. "Surely you do not charish gold more than your own life." He smiled again, his red eyes piercing into the young mans eyes.

"Don't worry Destani." He said. "This boy may be a fool. But surely he is not foolish enough to attempt to take a demon on." He said with a smile as he continued to close the distance on the naga, his grip tightening on his mace. "And if he is, he will never be able to make that mistake again."

Very quietly, Slypher started to cast the one spell he knew on the child. Fear. Even though Slypher was already very intimidating to most people, he could always use that to increase the chances of getting what he wanted. "You have one chance. Releas the girl on go on your merry way, or stay here and be left for dead." He said with a snarl.

orka_jade - May 10, 2008 08:20 PM (GMT)
Orka looks down at her with one of his bright red glowing eyes, the other still fixed on Slypher as he draws his weapon. "Ha ha. You think I am a but piety thief?" He asks as a smile dances across his snake-ish face. "Come one step closer and I cut her throat." He said not afraid to die. "I do not run in the face of anyone, even a lowly demon as yourself. You think your little mace can scare me? HA! I'd be damned if I let a change this simple slip through my fingers."

His tone grows darker as the fear strikes him. His eyes flash and even deeper shade of red as his body begins to shake. Orka holds his ground as he starts to glow, fear over taking him he shakes so violently that the katana falls from his hand. He grows into a massive glowing creature towering 7 feet high.

As the glowing stops it reviles a massive undead monster, the size of a giant, with the skin of a ox, claws of a loin, teeth of a wolf, and the color of the richest clay. The beast grabs Destani by the hair. "Leave or die little demon!" He says in a tone that makes even the trees shake. One of his eyes is still looking at Destani. "Give Gold!" He demands.

Carlie Garnet - May 10, 2008 08:36 PM (GMT)
Destani watched as one of his eyes still watched her, with an emotin she could not quite pin point, but it intruiged and scared her all at the same time she could not look away, she watched it in awe then pulled her face away from it using her long hair as a curtain so she somehow would not feel his red eye burning into her, but she still could.

Her light body fell to the ground as she watched, he looked terrified, scared, horrified all at once as he shapeshifted in panic, she took this time to try to run, reaching a hand out to the deamon, the lesser of the two evils in this situation at least. But again she felt her body lift of the ground and pain shock her head, her hair was being pulled and it hurt majorly.

Destani's eyes began to water then her mind thought quickly, she had more money that the deamon did, surly she did. And it was her job at the moment to save him, so she put a hand on the strangers trying to ease the pain in her hair. She looked at him with intense eyes and false confidance as she began to speak. "I will give you what you want and more, maybe we can come to a deal..." She said trying ot sound comanding and not so scared.

Her eyes turned to Slypher. "Slypher, leave now. LEAVE!" She shouted at him with all her might, horror and anger she could muster trying to get her point across, she wanted him to leave for now, she knew what she was doing, he could come later, just not now, this was the mometn when she would find out if he really trusted her.

orka_jade - May 10, 2008 08:44 PM (GMT)
Orka releases Destani not taking one eye off her, he still looks at Slypher with the other eye. "What deal do you speak?" He asks her as his voice calming, but still angry. "Demon child I wish not to fight." He said as his voice grows angry again. "But I will if you so wish."

The shifter cracks his knuckles, leaving his katana on the ground. The undead beast seems to be...almost smirking. But saliva runs from his mouth and he snaps loudly waiting for the Demons answer.
