Title: The River Knows
Description: OPEN!
Carlie Garnet - May 3, 2008 12:23 AM (GMT)
Dawn sat ontop of her favorite horse, Valour. This horse let her ride slow and side sadle when she wished, but when givin a small nudge took of like the wind, the element that Dawn held deep inside her heart. This horse was grey with many white spots on hits nose, and legs, its mane also white. Dawn herself had her long deep brown hair down pas her shoulders the curls bouncing as the horse walked. She wore a light blue ridding dress and white sheer gloves. Her emerald green eyes searched the horizion as she rode through the long grass.
In the grasslands there was the trecherous forest which lay to her left, the training area where all the brave men went to train on her right, and many other places behind her and ahead of her, she rode slowly through the grass. Many noble barons had mansions in this part of the grasslands where they lived, she often rode her and knew many of the people living there. There was, though, a new mansion with a man living there she had not met yet. Part of her told her to stay and wait for him to welcome her, for she had heard many amazing war stories of this man and how he could like to be alone. But her curiosity nagged at her and she was desperate to meet the acclaimed man.
Dawn looked at the vast hills on the horizon and saw a black figure in the distance upon a black horse, it was a strong bold man atop the horse that she had never seen before. She squinted in the late day sun and watched as his horse came to her in a rush of lighting. Dawn's long, elegent fingers clutched the reints of her horse just a little tighter, she also went from side sadle to sitting regularly upon her horse. The figure was coming closer, she began to panic though she may just be being paranoid. But she was a woman without any of her gaurds.
The one time I am alone. She thought sitting up straighter and smiling when she saw the man upon the horse come up and stop infront of her. She did not recognize the face upon this man.

Dar'Vaeg - May 3, 2008 01:14 AM (GMT)
Arthur checked the horse to make sure it was the right one among the herd. It was the black and the description matched perfectly. HE had been hired by the lord from this new mansion to get this particular horse. THough this wasn't his particular strong suit Arthur needed the money. It would not be hard though he had ways of winning animals without causing a fight. HE approached slowly and the herd looked up as if ready to bolt. Arthur smiled and sang draons song. It would not only calm dragons but other animals as well it had that ability at least.
The black horse then approached Arthur and Arthur patted it on the nose and got up on it bareback sine he had not brought a saddle or bit for the horse. He then stirred the horse into action. His employer would be pleased the horse was fast and strong and it ran well. It was also perfect for combat just the way the man said. As he rode along he noticed a shaodw in the distance and went to inspect it. As he got close he noticed it was a girl a good deal younger than him and he smiled when he saw that she was wooried. Of course being in this armor it had its affect he was glad he was in human form or the girl might have bolted, He said," Hail fair maiden, may I help you with something, are you lost"?
Carlie Garnet - May 3, 2008 03:36 AM (GMT)
Dawn stayed up on her horse her back still straight her shoulders down, the wind tossed her long brown hair. Her green eyes kept his and still she smiled, it was best to not make strangers mad, they could be evil and dangerous. However most often she found only the kind. This man was built, and had blonde hair and blue eyes, his horse was a midnight black. He was fairly handom.
"No, I know these lands very well, I know many of the Lords and barrons that own the mansions out in the fields, I could never be lost here. I must thank you though for your consideration, its much apprecated." Dawn nodded her head in respect. Because she was not on the ground she could not curtsie. "I must say that is a very beautiful horse, he must go very fast." She said looking at his strong legs, but still she would always love her own horse. "May I ask your name?" She asked keeping her impatient horse still, it was yearning to run with the stars into the night.
Dawn thought about it, maybe it was the new Lord in the new mansion, but he did not look like a Lord. He did not look like a man of great nobility. No it surly was not him he had no war torn scars of things that had happened in great wars past. This was not him, but he was still handsom.
(( in the plot I have in mind, which is flexibal if you want to change it we will need a bad guy will post more about it in the other topic. I liked your post glad your a part of the thread ^_^ ))
Dar'Vaeg - May 3, 2008 03:36 PM (GMT)
Arthur smiled at her when she said she was not lost that was good he would be able to get his job done quicker.Of course even if you knew this land it was still easy to get lost in it. Arthur then said," THank you but the horse isn't mine, I caught it for a the new lord here, he wanted a special horse so I got him one". He then smiled again when she asked his name and he said," It is Arthur dear lady, my name is Arthur, I am a wanderer". He bowed his head to her.
HE then said," That is a fine stallion you have their as well mam, one of the finest I have ever seen, and I know horse flesh". He then looked at her and said," I have introduced myself may I know the name to the pretty face". He smile mischeviously and awaited her answer.
Carlie Garnet - May 4, 2008 04:55 AM (GMT)
Dawn raised her eye brows for a moment. So this man, Arthur was his name, was working for the new Lord in this area looking for a wild horse. Yes this was deffinitly the kind of horse a man that held true to the rumors would have. The bow of the head showed respect, and was a sign of a gentleman. She smiled at his small bowing gesture.
Dawn gently ran her fingrers through the main of her horse and patted the side of Valour's neck. "Yes, I love him very much, he will always protect me." She said adding a hint of warning, unkowing still if this man was friend or foe. But this man knew how to play gun games. She could tell by the smile that played allong his lips. For now she decided against giving him her first name, only her last. "I am lady Lunceford." She left it at that, she didnt know what magic lay inside her at the time, and she had no job, so she didnt give herself a qualification.
"My horse can run fast and great distances. I found him once in a glen in the snow, at first he just stood looking very strong, and did not back away. And then, he came to me." Dawn smiled at the fond memorie first putting her hand on the horses nose, and the horse noding its head lower up against her cheek.
(( I apologize that my user name and the name in this and my signature does not match, I just changed my char slightly today, butI want to still keep this topic going so just ignroe the name dawn in the first few posts. thanks!))
Dar'Vaeg - May 4, 2008 11:32 PM (GMT)
Arthur again bowed so this woman was a noble or she said she was. Arthur was somewhat of a noble he came from two anceint lines one of the dragons one of the warlords of old. He would not say that though his history was his own and no one elses unless he found the one he was looking for. He smiled and said," Do not worry my Lady, I would not harm you or the horse, though my visage is fearsome, I am quite gentle". He tapped his armor for example and looked at the horse again.
HE then said," This horse that I caught is strong as well, a good war horse and runner, I got him with dragons song but it will wear off soon, I msut take him to the lord before it does so". He then turned the horse to side and said," The mansion is that way, perhaps you would like to meet this lord, he does not mind visitors, but do not ask him of his life, let him tell you instead, he patient but not tolerant a man after my own heart I say".
Carlie Garnet - May 4, 2008 11:57 PM (GMT)
Destani smiled and wrinkled her nose for a moment at the prospect of such a man, the band of pink past her eyes glittered slighlty in the moonilght, as did the swirl patterns running up her neck and down to her fingers, these marks were the marks of a Dream Dancer. "He is patient tolerant, and as I can imagine is used to barking orders to his men, and used to him obeying them with no questions asked. As I'm sure he assumes all the woman that meet him will be also. But unfortunatly I'm far to head strong, I'm sure it would drive the man insane. I am on the other hand eager to meet him." Destani sighed.
Destani was about to say more but she saw another figure in the distance come forward, soon he was close enough to yell. "Arthur!" He shouted with much urgancy. "The Lord Hugh as murdered! We have found his body by the river with many arows in his body. You must come and help, leave the fair behind you have no time for meetings for ladys right now." The man turned arround and went off on his brown steed to gather the body.
Destani looked at Arthur for a reaction. "Lets go." She said simply, it was not proper for a woman to look at the dead body of a man let alone take care of it, but that didnt matter to her.
Dar'Vaeg - May 5, 2008 12:13 AM (GMT)
Arthur laughed and said," You'll do fine, he likes head strong women". He smiled as the thought when through his mind. He then noticed something strange about the girl there was a pink to her eyes and swirls on her body. Arthur thought it odd as he had never seen anything like it and anything Arthur had never seen he took a great interest in.
He was about to ask her what it was when he heard hooves appraoch and he turned the horse. He listned to the man spoke and he cursed and said," Blood and Bloody ashes, its never easy, he was a good man that one". He got off the horse amd looked at the girl and said," You can come if you want, just stay out of my way, whatever killed the Lord is going to wish it had never been born". He took his helmet from his side and puy iy on his head and his eyes glew red and the armor seemed to shine brighter in the night and Arthur looked more fearsome. He got on the horse and said," I'll let you go in a bit, for now you have to bear me".
He kicked the horse and rode on and followed after the rider.
Carlie Garnet - May 5, 2008 12:27 AM (GMT)
Destani laughed at the fact that he liked head strong woman, she sat regular on her horse and kicked it into gear. "I'll go where ever I want even if its in your way,I intend to come, thank you for the invitation." She said urging her horse allong. The stalion took off in a great speed, her brow hair sped past her face, the light pink high lights swirled arround the brown parts of her hair as the horse ran. Her eyes watched with determination as the line of the river became larger and larger.
The hoves of her horse Valour hit the ground like thunder after lighting, or thunder after the horse the man was on. She held tight to the reins as the horse went down a gentle slope following the wind as it rode fast. Soon they came upon the river, and in the wake of the brown horse and the man that had come to dilver the news was the body of a handsom man.
This man had blonde hair and blue eyes, his neck was thick with muscle and his clothes showed the courage of a worrior. He was on his back with many arrows stuck into the muscle in his chest. Destani took in sharp gasp when she saw it. Immediatly she dismounted from her horse and began to lean down next to the body.
Dar'Vaeg - May 5, 2008 12:43 AM (GMT)
Finally they found the river just as the man said, he looked at the body on the ground. He got down and said to the horse," You have done well go free". The horse with its wildness back ran off to find its herd. He leaned down beside the body on the lord and closed the mans open eyes respectfully and he said," Well my friend, I am sorry I was not here to help you, but I will find the creatures that did this to you". He put his hands on him and said a prayer," May you shelter in the palm of Lothomendils hand, and may the last embrace of the mother welcome you home." He hen bowed his head in respect and then turned to looking at the body he looked at one of the arrows in the body.
He said," Orcs did this if I am correct, or some sort of shadowspawn, I recognize the arrows make, black, this is definately work of shadowspawn". He then looked around for any tracks of the murders, seeing none he said," Possible ambush through the trees, I see no tracks, they possibly hid any of there dead, to keep from being tracked". He smelled the air for any sign of where they went and looked across the river and said," They crossed the river to throw off their scent and tracks, but I can find them, no matter of them hiding their scent can keep them from me, I have hunted these type of creatures before, I can find them".
He looked to the messanger and said," Take the body, bury it give it honor, I won't need help I can take care of them myself, its time for Arthur the Shadowslayer to go to war". He looked at the girl and said," You can come if you want, but don't do anything foolish, just try not to get hurt". HE stood up and drew the sword from his back it gleamed in the night its beauty shining like a new sun and he took hsi sield and made it ready and said," Just be sure you want to go with me, because we might be in for one heck of a fight".
Carlie Garnet - May 5, 2008 12:52 AM (GMT)
Destani watched the man work, yes the arrows were that of an orcs. They were black with the correct markings, they did smell aweful and tried to cross with fresh water to throw off and as he said it had not worked.
As Destani saw it she had two options. To go with the servent and take the body back and help give it a proper burial, however some did not like her kind. Or she could go with Arthur and try to track down the orcs. She did not however have any weapons with her and would have to rely on him to protect her. She rolled her eyes and sighed out of frustration.
Destani smiled and got back up on her horse and did not ride side sadle. "I will try my best to as you put it do nothing foolish or get myself in trouble, but that cant be a gurantee. And I'm always ready for a challenge." She said a gleam in her light pink mahogany eyes. She was excited for adventure. Destani yearned for it, but there was a part of her that was truly scared anything could happen.
Dar'Vaeg - May 5, 2008 01:05 AM (GMT)
Arthur looked at the girl and smile crept on his lips though she would not be able to see it under his armor. He then said," Good then, I don't have to worry about you then". He then went doward the river and sniffed around he was glad she had not aksed how he could smell them. Some of his dragon senses extened into his human form. Without them Arthur would have a hard time finding the orcs he was glad he did have them. They were going north and quickly crossed the river across the shallow part where the water came up to his knees.
He signaled for the girl to follow along that it was safe. He then went off in the direction of the scent following not to fast but not to slow so he would not lose them or the scent. Soon he found their tracks a few miles up river along with some others. Paw prints they got on wargs they no doubt knew they were being followed. He looekd at the girl and said," We will have to move faster now, they have mounts or at least a few do". He then whistled on the wind the whistled carried far and there was a great squack heard and the pound of fast feet.
Soon a bird could be seen in the darkness movign at great speed and it stopped before Arthur and stared at him and squaked again a fell and rolled on belly up on the ground. Arthur frowned and said," None of that Horta, we have some orcs tp catch". The orc stood up sadly and Arthur patted it and it seemed glad for the pat as its former master had treated it as a dumb bird. Arthur got on the bird that was a big as horse and he looked at the girl and said," This Horta my Chocobo, hope that horse of yours can keep up, were gona be moving pretty fast". He spurred Horta on and the bird speed off in the direction of the scent.
Carlie Garnet - May 5, 2008 01:15 AM (GMT)
Destani smiled when the realization came to him that she could take care of herself. You bet your butt she could. Destani was on the contrary a prideful creature so even if she couldnt she wouldnt let him know that. He walked into the water until it was up to his knees, still blood ran through the crystal waves turning itno a ruby color. Destani patted her horses neck and it ran through the water quickly and to the other side.
Destani followed at a slow pace soon she became inpatient and crossed her arms watching him sniff the air she raised an eye brow for a moment. "I do not think that it was simply an orc that killed such a skilled and strong man. He would be capable of taking care of himself. Do you think they were working for someone?" She pondred outloud to herself. From the stories she ahd heard, a couple orcs would not be a problem for this man, probably an enjoyable game more likely than not. And orcs did not just kill a random man, they must have had a reason.
Destani watched in awe as the bird came, it was a beautiful creature, she longed to touch its feathers but she hesitated for fear it may feel protective of its master. She smiled when he asked if she could keep up. Valour was a great horse capeable of many speeds, it was falling of that she was slightly worried about. "I can keep up." She said kicking her horse as it bolted into a run.
Dar'Vaeg - May 5, 2008 01:30 AM (GMT)
Arthur looked at her when she said something about Orcs being hired to do this. It was possible this man was a great warrior aand not easily suprised. His best bet was that there had at least beeen fifty and he had killed maybe 10 or 20 of their number. They were porbably very eager to get away but why hadn't they capture him as they usually did.
He then said," It is quite possible they were hired, but the question is who and why, when we find them, I'll make sure to leave one alive to ask". Arthur was suprised at the horses speed it was able to keep up with Horta. He wondered how long it would be able to maintain that speed. Arthru smiled and said," You wre true to your word, you can keep up". They rode on he could smell the trail on the wind they were gettting closer and the orcs probably knew they were coming. The best way not to fall into a trap was to spring it, that was Arthurs experience.
As they rode along Arthur noted the terrain. it was grassy and perfect for what was going to happen. He smiled as a gleam of light entered the red color of his eyes. Ofcourse the effect was from the magic of the helmet. Finally Arthur halted Horta and singaled to the lady to do the same. He smeleld the air, they had stopped. He frowned and said," Get down they have stopped, they will be waiting for us, so leave the horse". He unbuckeld the second sword at his side and handed it to her and said," I saw that you have no weapon so use this one, use it wisely, it has seen me through some hard times, don't get to flashy and you will be fine, do not attack, just defend leave the attackign to me, stay close and you wont get hurt".
Carlie Garnet - May 5, 2008 01:41 AM (GMT)
Destani returned his smile with one of her own gleaming ones. The light let the twirls on her skin sparkle. "Yes, it would be wise to let one live to question, we cant let this go unasnwered it could put us both in real danger if we dont get to the bottom of this." She shouted against the wind that whistled past her face and bare skin on her arms. "Thank you, I would not have lied to you about he greatness of my horse." She said with a glint in her eyes.
The terrain had become more like a narrow path in a forest, it was harder to get through and herself and Valour were beginging to fall behind for it was hard for the horse to get through some of the trials the land had, but she could still see Arthur close to her. When he stopped abruptly Destani pulled on the reins, her horse reared infront of him and she calmed him down patting the side of his neck. "Shhhh she calmed shhh." The horse calmed down and stood steady for a moment long enough for her to dismount.
Destani took the sword, her arm fell for a moment at the weight, she was not trained in this but she assumed that with the adrenaline she should be able to defend herself enough. "I am not trained, so I will not try something like attacking back, I promise I will use it purly for defense. And I will stay with you for as long as I am allowed in this fight." She stopped when she heard a sound in the bushes...
Dar'Vaeg - May 5, 2008 01:51 AM (GMT)
Arthur ;sitened to her and frowned, she would be alright, maybe he sould have given her the dagger instead. Now that he thought on it, it was a good idea but what was doen was done. Arthur heard movement in the bushes and put up his sheild in tight defense. He sniffed it was orc alright.
Arthur appraoched slowly and it came up with a cry wickedly curved sword in the air. When it came to close lightning without sound crept from his armor and encircled the orc and shocked it so it dropped its sword and without ceremoney Arthur chopped of its head in a blink as if the helmet it had was tin. Arthur then looked at the girl and said," i have a piece of advice for you, Cut. Once Commited to fight cut. Everything else is secondary. Cut. That is your duty, your purpose, your hunger. There is no rule more important, no commitment that overrides that one. Cut". He paused breifly.
HE then said," Cut from the void, not from bewilderment. Cut the enemy as quickly and directly as possible. Cut with certainty. Cut deciesively, resoloutely. Cut into his strength. Flow through the gaps in his guard. Cut him. Cut him down utterly. Don't allow him a breath. Crush him. Cut him without mercy to the depths of his spirit" He paused again and made the final point," It is the balance to life: death. It is the dance with death. It is the law you live by or you die".
He then moved towatd teh soudns of the oncoming orcs. When they finally appeared the looekd at Arthur as if he was some demon out Chaos and Arthur said," Coem to me all of you, I am Dar'Vaeg and I am your death". He then prepared for the coming onslaught.
Carlie Garnet - May 5, 2008 02:01 AM (GMT)
Destani saw the orcs come and held back her fear inside her and didnt let it show, it would not work for them to see her fear for that would give them a clear advantage, no she would have to hide it, she listened to him but did not reply she had no time and her mind was on the oncoming slaughter not what he was saying though she did get the general point. cut. Cut like it meant something. She held the sword high and waited for them.
They burst through the tree's Arthur continued on with eletric energy and fought like thats all that mattered and zoned out the world arround him. She saw an orc smile and come for her quiclky she yelped and let the sword down leading to a orc cut in half. She let out a sigh but her victory was long lived as another came for her. She spun and cut, turned and cut, turned and cut, soon it became almost routine for her muscles to follow. Up down, slice, slash, cut blood, cut blood, fall to the floor.
Destani was proud of herself inwardly, she knew that she was holding her own and it made her proud, she was not dead. That was the posative side, she was not dead. Soon however she felt a blade against her neck and a body behind hers. There were about four orcs left, and one behind her threatening to kill her. His breath was hot on her neck, it made her squeeze her eyes shut in discust, not only discust of the orc but of the way she turned and dismembered him.
Dar'Vaeg - May 5, 2008 02:10 AM (GMT)
The fight did not last long for Arthur, he was the peace against the chaose, the wall against the oncomign wave. He was here and there among the orcs cutting into them as if they were nothing. It was if he was in a dance and indeead he was. It was the dance with death. Nothing mattered to him except there death.
His smiel was cruel as he cut into one after another some cried for mercy but he eneded them. Shadwospawn deserved no mercy. He was the bringer of death and he was ending them bringing them to their justice. Finally there only five left, one held the girl at her back with a knife but she ended him and Arthur breathed a sigh of relief. He came forward and ended three of the last four standing. It was withotu flash or pizzzaz just wuick and deadly. The last orc he disarmed and grabbed by the throat.
He slammed to the ground and he looked at it, the hate and fear filling its eyes. He then said," Now you are going to tell me why, you killed that lord, who hired you, and everything you know, or I am goign to make your last moments on this earth a living hell, you will be begging to tell me everything, because if you don't well, I am going to make a dragon seem like flower when Im finished with you". The orc nodded and Arthru said," Good now tell me why".
Carlie Garnet - May 5, 2008 02:18 AM (GMT)
Destani was close to falling over and passing out, what she had just whintessed burned into her mind and she wanted it out, she wanted the blood off her light olives skin, of her pale blue dress, off the ground. Surly she would have nightmares about this for months. She could bearly breath, her breaths came in hurried spazams. It wasnt until after a moment or two did she realize that arthur had an orc pinned to the ground.
The orc looked horrified while Arthur looked plain angry, she wobbled over and stood by him standing straight with her head held high. She could not let the orc know she was exasperated, though the deep cut along one leg proved she was in much pain.
The orc began to talk sh winced as the voice came out of its foul lips. "We were s-s-ent by s-s-someone who would not g-give a name to kill the Lord b-because he was going to marry HER!" He spat in her direction when he looked at her. "The Dream D-Dancer he was going to marry her, but the man knew b-better he knew the power that Dream Dancers hold so he wanted it for h-himself. So we were sent to kill him and we did our j-job. Now that one must w-watch out because he will f-find her." He said with a sick smile on his cut face.
Dar'Vaeg - May 5, 2008 02:30 AM (GMT)
Arthur looked at her and thought So thats why those markings are there. He had heard of Dream Walkers but never a Dream Dancer. He then looked backed at the orc and he reached up and removed his helmet and the orc gasbed in fear at seeing the blaze in his deep slited blue eyes. It said," Shadow Slayer forgive me, if I had known....." Arthur held it by the throat and said," If you had known you would have killed me just the same, I would kill you know if you weren't worth something". He picked it up as it struggled and chocked under his iron hard grip and he said," Guess what orc, you are going to take me to where you met this being, if you do I might just let you live, but if you betray me, I will fullfill my promise, I will ifnd you and make you regret meeting me".
Arthur then let it go and bent both its arms behind its back and he took a bit of rope from one of the dead orcs and tied its hands together hard making sure it was tough and sturdy. He then put another rope around its neck like a leash and cruel smile parted on his lips and said," Your lucky, your the only orc ever to be spared by Dar'Vaeg the Shadow Slayer". HE then looked at the girl and saw that she was hurt and he was maddened and looked at the Orc with more intesne hate. He then bent down and said," Youe hurt, let me see the wound, I have a bit of a healing ability".
HE reached into his magic and said," Minor Heal". When he was done he said," THats the best I can do, it would be better if you tied a peice ofcoth aroudn the wound so it won't get infected". He then looked at her and his sword and smiled. He said," You did good, you underestimated yourself, it seems I was right to give you the sword instead of the dagger".
Carlie Garnet - May 5, 2008 02:43 AM (GMT)
Destani watched as he put a leash arround the orc with rope and smiled cruly at it, she couldnt help but feel a little bad, if she were in a rope leash she would be a terrible pain, and not able to think or concintrate, much like her leg alied her now. So she suppsed they were even. When she heard the news about marraige she nearly doubled over. "How come I didnt know about that!?" She asked agape. But it was not unusall for that time to be practically wed and not know it.
Destani had no desire to take the orc with her, it would be a pain and surly try to escape. It was not worth the trouble. But it could have been, for now though she was too tired to protest his ideas. The cut on her leg sepreated a swirl pattern that ran high into her thigh, her dress was torn so it was not far shorter than it had started out, when Arthur put his hand on the cut she could feel the warmth radiate through, it made her smile and feel more comfortable.
A laugh and smile escaped Destani's lips at his words. "I think it was the rush of adrenaline you should praise not me. I could not do that for fun with you for example just outside sparing, it would surly loose. It was just the heat of the moment." She said tearing her dress further and painfully tieing her wound.
Once she had her leg bare she caught the orc wink at her and she looked at him in horror, how dare he!? How dare he? She was about ready to limp right over there and kick his butt. So, she got up with much trouble, stumbled over, and was fairly sure she looked rather stupid and pointed a finger in the orcs face too teird and shocked to let words out only to stand there and point.
Dar'Vaeg - May 5, 2008 02:55 AM (GMT)
Arthur was suprised she did not know about the marriage where he had been usually the people knew they were getting married. Arthur shrugged it was none of his business anyway. The girl put the bandage on her leg he tried hard to keep from looking. THe orc then did something to anger her and Arthur went over gave the orcs head a smack and said," None of that know. The orc looked up agerily but on seeing the look on Arthurs face it withered.
Finally he whistled and there was a squak in the air and the orc looked confused. Horta came up and looked at the orc and snapped its beak at. Arthur smiled and the orc said," Surely you don't mean me to get on that thing". Arthur took his sword and knocked it on the head knocking it out and Arthur wiped the blood from his sword and put the orc over Hortas back. The bird looked indignant but took the burned and Arthur said," We will have to go slow, I know a good place to camp thats not far from here, we will stay there, and this guy will have one heck of a head ache in the morning".
He then looked at the girl and said<" Now that I know what you are, its only fair that I tell you what I am, I am a half-dragon, that is how I fought so well, my mother is a human, my father is a dragon, my name among my kind is Dar'Vaeg, but please just keep calling me Arthur, and don't worry you could be in no safer hands than mine".

Destani couldnt help but laugh when arthur slaped the orc upside the head, that is exactly what she had wanted to do, and it was quite funny the look on the orcs face quickly died down with one look from arthur. She stifled another giggle. The two stood there for a moment as if in a mentle battle that after a moment or two Arthur clearly won.
A whistle filled the air and soon his bird was on the ground next to Valour who had walked over and now stood protectivly by her she could feel the warmth radiating from the horses fur and skin, it made her all the more tierd as she bearly stood up straight. She put a hand on her horse for support. She smiled at the protest and more broadly when he hit him out cold, this was humerous to her, maybe because she was so tierd or because the orc was being a complete jerk. Maybe both, still she stood by her horse swaying.
Destani aprechated his honesty. She smiled and pushed a strand of light pink mahogany out of her face and behind her ear. "Thank you, I respect dragons very much, I know I am in good hands and apologize if I become a nusance, thank you for your help already Art-" Her sentance stopped, and her light body began to fall. She was exhausted, scared, and the dream world was calling to her.

Arthur saw Destani fall but he could not ge there quick enough. Luckily though she did not seem to be hurt. He was glad of that. He put her on the horse and looked it in the eyes. Arthur then gave it a small signal to follow him. So Arthur and the animals and the two others went off. Arthur let the silence take him as he thought of what he was going to do or what might happen next.
Arthur was a man who liked to think thigns through because more often than not rash thinkign got one in trouble. Arthur finally found the spot he was lookignfor. A little stream ran through it and there was enough brush for a fire. Arthur madde the horse sit down and took Destani off and sat her down. HE had no cloak to cover her so Arthur moved her closer to her horse for warmth. He then took the orc down and made sure the knots were tight.
Arthur then started to make a fire. After it started Arthur sat and waited humming a little tune to pass the time.
(Sorry for taking so long)
