Title: To the Death
Description: Hriky's Lizarian character vs. H'tes

H'tes Enyar - May 2, 2008 09:43 PM (GMT)
The the grasslands blew in the winds. The air smelt clean and fresh, and the sun was beautiful out, with no clouds in the sky to hide it's beauty. But on this day, the peaceful atmosphere would be broken by a battle. A battle that would lead to a death coming out of it, and blood covering the ground.

But for now, H'tes sat in the peaceful atmosphere. His new bed roll was laid out on the ground. He still had plenty of time to rest and relax, but he did not enjoy the daylight sky as much as heenjoyed the night time views of the heavens. It was always more relax for the young quarter of a demon to watch the moon then the sun. But nevertheless, H'tes enjoyed his peaceful day, while it still sat in the sky.

But, it seemed the skies had sensed the coming battle, as grew clouds came in and blocked out the sun, at first slowly but then rather quickly. It felt like a rather bad omen to H'tes. And then, he could smell it, but only barely with his demonic senses not near that of a true demon. It was close, and coming closer. A beast of battle was heading near. It was not human, H'tes could at least tell that much. It smelt reptillian in nature. H'tes knew that sent as he had to hunt lizards a few times, when there was nothing else to eat.

H'tes had to prepare himself. He now had more then just his staff as a weapon, but he did not get out the fans. They were mainly slashing, surprise weapons, of little use if open combat came to this field. So, he grabbed his staff as he knew it was coming closer. He did not yet know if it was after battle, but he was prepared for if it was.

The Reason - May 2, 2008 09:53 PM (GMT)
The clouds rolled in quickly, but yet slowly. The sky grew dark, quite dark. The dragging of huge heavy scaly feet could be heard by bystanders in the area. The movements did not try to cover themselves. They did not try to hide the sounds. They did not try to move slower. They tried to move faster. Much faster. Cirdan smelt someone near by and this was the first person for a mile. He wanted death, the death of this person. He titled his head up and roared very loudly as he ran into a full charge in the direction. He saw a kid with a staff. The giant lizard charged him in wanting his death and swung his fist on the ground in an attempt to crush him. Not like he cared what happened to this human.

H'tes Enyar - May 2, 2008 10:08 PM (GMT)
The creature was a large beast, indeed. The scaly body, and crude, vicious nature would serve as quite the problem to H'tes, and made a very deadly enemy. H'tes would have to play this battle as smart as he possibly could. His enemy had size and strength on his sidee, so H'tes would need to use his speed and magical power to the max to have an advantage on the savage creature.

H'tes looked into the air as the creature came in quick at him. As he did, he told his body what to do. He vanished, appearing high up in the air. This free fall would give him the time he would need to prepare his body for a fight. "It's the feast of the blood with sin, unleash the beast within," he spoke, his voice becoming darker as he spoke in the demonic language known as black speech.

He screamed as the transformation began. Tail, horns, claws, eyes, fangs, tongue, and blood all grew out in their demonic nature, as usual. He would need this form to properly fight, as he always felt stronger in it. More endurance, at least. He would use all his powers at the ready for a fight with a beast like this one.

He teleported back down to the ground, with a good enough distance seperating himself from the creature. He prepared for the beast to come again, readying his next attacks, and a plan, for when the beast actually attacked him. He would not try to be the first to strike, as that only made him the one surprised. He wanted to study his opponent's style before waisting too much energy on the fight, which was a wise strategy, if he had the ability to last long enough to study his opponent. He just hoped the opponent didn't have anything like Teleportation, or this battle would be more trouble then it was worth.

The Reason - May 2, 2008 10:27 PM (GMT)
The human vanished beneath his fist. It was some kind of magic, not paying attention to it much as he saw the human infront of him a ways away. Cirdan hissed vicously at the boy that seemed to transform. It was very weird. He was not a human anymore. Cirdan charged again and attempted to swip with his claw and slice to rippions. He stopped not sure if the person would vanish again or not. Being swift he leaped to his right slightly to miss the boy with his claw and if he went to the left or behind. Cirdan would hit him with his tall.

H'tes Enyar - May 2, 2008 10:48 PM (GMT)
H'tes noticed the creatures slight confusion at his transformation. But the creature did not hesitate for long. It ran straight at H'tes and tried to strike him with another mighty blow. H'tes teleported to behind the mighty beast, not realising the creature had been waiting for that to happen.

H'tes screamed in pain as the tail whipped across his stomach, creating a nice gash on him. The blow had gone through the cloth and made a good cut, and made H'tes fall back. Black blood bled from the wound, but H'tes did not need to worry about it for now. He just needed to continue on in the fight, as concentraiting on the wound would only get in the way of finishing this fight to end his enemy.

"To those thatfear the flames of Hell, thou shalt fear me," he spoke in his demonic language, and the black blood that was bleeding out of his suddenly became alit with flames, as did the blood throughout his body. Every vein seemed to light up as Hellfire took him over. He smiled.

He blew out a large stream of flame at the creature, and wherever it move next, H'tes teleported to to breath out more flames. He was ready to roast the terrible beast alive to end this fight quickly, but he knew it couldn't be quite that easy just yet. He would have a good bit of fight left to do before that happened.

It seemed his strategy was to basically tire out and roast the creature. He would likely need more then just that to help him in the fight with the giant lizard-man, but H'tes was not one to know how to fight monsters like this. Big, scary, lizard people were not his specialty of combat.

The Reason - May 2, 2008 11:07 PM (GMT)
He had struck. Struck good, struck deep. This was not enough to kill the boy, no it was not. Unless he wanted the kid to die from blood lose. It did not have the patients and he wanted it to be done by the movetion of his attack that killed the demon. Cirdan was engulfed in flames from behind. His scales hissed and steamed from the flames as he turned around and quickly bullrushed H'tes and tried to impale him on his claws.

H'tes Enyar - May 2, 2008 11:30 PM (GMT)
H'tes smiled. He could see an operatunity for a strike, and took it as he saw it. He Teleported, and landed down on the head. His spider boots made it so he stuck on the head as long as he wished. That would be a needed thing, as he used his claws and struck for the eyes. His claws would go for a hard, ripping movement, trying to take out his eyes, or damage them so much that they were useless. It was a nice place for a hit, but once it was made, he would teleport away quickly as it was likely the creature would try to smack him off as soon as it got a chance at a hit.

H'tes would not give it much chance once he was off it. He would shoot more flames into it. It might be tough, but it was not immune to the flames. Even it would eventually succumb to them after too much exposure. And that would be his victory. But he also prepared himself to teleport away again if the creature came charging at him. He was not going to let this thing get another strike like that again. He was going to be vicious and merciless in this battle. He had no time for a heart when his life was on the line.

He thought this fight was rather easier then it should have been. Was it that the creature was weaker then it appeared, or that H'tes was growing stronger as he went along? There was no doubt that he was growing slightly stronger, little by little, day by day, but enough to fight off a creature like this that easily? That was quite impressive for the young quarter demon, and actually quite impressive of anyone.

His left eye began to bleed as a demon claw struck his deep. Deep enough to make him never see on his left side again. He shook his head violently as the child teleported off. He ran back away from the boy a bit before charging him quickly. He leaped into the air and flipped in the air to bring his tail down quickly and deadly apone H'tes. He would be crushed into the ground if he was struck by this with his wieght. Die you he hissed in his own language not expecting anyone not of his own race to understand it at all.

H'tes Enyar - May 3, 2008 12:49 AM (GMT)
H'tes vanished once more, appearing far away from the creature. He was starting to feel slightly more arrogent as this battle went on. "Do you know what you lack?" came the voice of H'tes, child mixed with demon in his voice, rather playful. He had never been this much on the advantage before. He wanted to enjoy it while it lasted. "You lack the ability to think in this fight. An animal with no thought cannot beat me."

He laughed as he raised his hand. "Fire!" he shouted, as flames suddenly seemed to gather just above his palm, forming a ball, and then firing right at his enemy, aiming towards the other eye. This next blinding strike was meant to deal out more of an advantage for H'tes, if it worked. And if it didn't, it was more flames hitting the creature.

H'tes own pride would eventually be hurting him. He was using a lot of mana in consequtive use, which was draining his resources rather more quickly then he should do. Soon enough, he would not beable to perform much more magic, but he did not care at that moment. For once, he was actually using his demonic instinct to enjoy the heat of the battle, and dance in the glory of a death he would soon deliver. He had never felt that way before, and at this moment, the adrenaline of it was making him feel good. It would be his first purposeful kill of a sentiant creature, and he was going to do it like a demon, rather then like a human. For many a half blood, letting their inner demon take over like this was something to fear. For H'tes, it was a dream coming true at last.

The Reason - May 3, 2008 12:57 AM (GMT)
Cirdan waited for the fireball to get close enough to him. He swatted his huge hand at it and it disbursted. Flames licked his hands enough. After that his hand moved towards his mace. He was going to need this against a child he thought he would be killing for teh fun of it. This battle was fun enough. Fun enough to give it everything he had. Couching over slightly, Cirdan bellowed a roar slamming his mace on the ground in taunt.

Yoo will not kill me, Cirdan kill joo. he said in the common tongue. He charged again but stopped and waited for the kid to attack him. He swished his tail around on the ground in anticipation waiting for the attack. Flames would not get to him easily but it would sooner or later. The moment of his tail caused some dust to cloud the air. The sky was darkening more and making it almost seem like night.

H'tes Enyar - May 3, 2008 01:05 AM (GMT)
H'tes smiled as his enemy came at him with his own little battle cry. "Cirdan?" he said. "Thanks for giving me a name beforeyou died. Now I can know my victim's name." He laughed, and his laugh revealed another burst of flames coming from his mouth at the creature.

But as things became darker, it became harder to see for the battle. And if he could not see well, he could not teleport well. And if he could not teleport well, he was in some trouble. But at that moment, he did not seem to care. What a foolish mistake in battle.

OOC: Can't think of anything more to add to this post without knowing your specific attack.... >.<

The Reason - May 3, 2008 01:12 AM (GMT)
The flames came, Cirdan ran to the side and behind the cover of the flames at H'tes. His taill dragging making sound echo through the air making it hard to tell which side he was on. Once the flames stopped Cirdan was in close range and swung his mace wildly multiply times at the demon boy. He was ready to finish this fight. Finish it and hope he would not be the one dying. The one dying was going to be the boy, the boy would die whatever he wanted to or not. He roared loudly shattering ear drums as he swung his mace.

H'tes Enyar - May 3, 2008 01:42 AM (GMT)
H'tes could see it. This was it. The mace came down towards him, and fear of death entered his eyes. How could he have been so careless? But he did not let such thoughts stop him. He had one chance in this. He could not see well enough to teleport to safety, but he had one thing. He jumped, shooting his staff forward into the already destroyed eye of the beast, going into the brain. This would be the death move, as H'tes jump land onto the creature's leg, he began to run up the body as the staff pierced the brain, his spider boots clinging on.

He would run up the body till he got to the head, and grabbing his staff as he jumped off the creature. He did not land well, and he smacked the ground with his gut, but he was just far enough to avoid the falling body of the beast. It crashed down, shaking the ground, it's head just barely missing H'tes' feet. He felt relief as he lay back, in pain. He was able toslowly get up, and take some of a potion that he had at the camp. It cured his wounds a bit, and he put it away.

The lovely day became tainted as the blood of the creature went down into the earth. This was H'tes first real victory in battle, and he had little to show for it. The mace was too big for him, and he had no trophy from the kill. But H'tes was not thinking of something like that. He just thought of what he had beeten just now. A great creature of battle, and he had barely managed to beat it. If the creature had any knowledge aside from close range battle, H'tes would have been absolutely dead. That fact was rather sobering to the pride that came with victory.

After thinking of it for a long time, eventually H'tes would rise, take his things, and leave this place, but his first battle to the death would never be forgotten. For it was his first kill of battle, and he found that he had enjoyed it.

The Reason - May 3, 2008 01:53 AM (GMT)
The staff reached the brain of the lizarian. He shuttered and fell towards the ground with a thud. His brain set out subcounsou last signals through out the body as his tail and fingers slightly moved. It didn't look like he was dead with these slight movements. They faded after a while. The body lay there to return to the earth and give it new life.

None of these things would have mattered to Cirdan. He just wanted glory, honor, death of others. He died in combat, against a small child. But he died doing what he did best. If he wanted to, Cirdan could have been a very brillant Lizarian and served his race very well. He did not and did not was the reason of his death. He wanted battle was got it through different methods then war. Killing for fun, killing in the arena, killing his mind.

The movements had stopped, Cirdan had died twenty minutes ago before his body stopped moving. He probably did not enjoy the place he was heading for all of his blood shed and battle.
