Title: Control Wind Questions

Nathaniel M. Rystoff - April 29, 2008 06:00 PM (GMT)
Definition; Allows caster to control and create winds.

What are the limits for this? Could I, say, create a small twister? Could I blow someone off their feet? Could I summon wind where there shouldn't be any (inside a well-fortified home, for instance). Also, can I "uncreate" winds? Could I make the wind stop blowing altogether, for instance, or stop a raging tornado?

Thanks! =)

Here's my best guess:

You can create winds enough to guide a ship or such. You probably could essentially 'Dispel' wind, since you would be taking control and then 'telling' it to stop. I don't think that it would allow you to stop a tornado or such, since that has escalated too far. As for the wind inside, it probably wouldn't allow that, due to restrictions and space and such.

I think it's great that you brought this up, since a lot of spells and such should be questioned as to how far you can take it. My two-cents about this: Make Control Winds, and <Spell name here> (name changeable, just shown as an idea). <Spell name here> would allow for unrestricted using of Control Winds, while Control winds itself would have restrictions like minimum space available, location and such. Just an idea.

You should probably wait for advice from someone in charge though, I'm just presenting what I thought this was.

Actually, that sounds really reasonable. Thanks Munio! ^^

Wherever there is air, there can be wind. That means inside as well as outside, it doesn't have to be a big breeze.

No, there are other spells that are intended for these stronger effects.

Yes, making the wind calm is part of controlling it.

Not a tornado, no.
