The vampire fled the city of Lomedor. He had always been able to call that place home, but he now found himself an outcast. Bounty and demon hunters chased him across the country side. Every day brought a new challenge for the young pup. Through these challenges he grew more acquainted with his remarkable dark powers, and he also grew to hate them more and more.

After several close calls from unrelenting mortals, Seraph turned the Dori'ba, the Land of the Dead. He knew it would take a fool to follow him here. After he was of the dead. This place was like a second home to him. Who would want to fight him here. They could not possible stand a chance.

Early, Seraph rose every night, as soon as the sting of the sun had set behind the horizon. Those who traveled with him had to become accustomed to his strange sleeping patterns. Among his companions were his trusted cerberus, Jupiter; his dragon, Marius; his porky minion, Hamlet; his two 'consciences,' Rolf the bad and Esmeralda the good; and to his surprise Quess the lupine who he had once fought in an epic battle.

"How can you trust that great canine demon? She tried to kill you," Rolf the demon fly argued while resting on Seraph's right shoulder, "you should run her through with you sword and be done with it."

"Silence," Esmeralda the fairy commanded while landing onto the vampire's left shoulder, "you spared her life. She is thankful for that and will not betray you. You to are so very similar. I doubt there is anyone else in the universe who understands your struggle as well as her; it would be a shame to lose her company."

"Quit bickering both of you!" Seraph spat back, "I am not going to kill her Rolf so drop it. If you don't like it then leave.

"Quess," Seraph called across the camp to her, "come join me for breakfast. Hamlet, caught to rabbits during the day."
