I find that this RP is closer to my more typical writing style, in that I've opened with a very deliberate plot. I feel as though I could keep writing and writing just to see how this plays out... but I've decided to cut it off here and see what happens. While I have several ideas in mind, I have not written the rest of the plot and I welcome anyone with additional elements to add.

I should like to join this thread, entering in the point of time in Marillies' life just after her northern kin have succumbed to defeat.
Marillie, refusing to remain with her kin, for the futile last battle, resolves to head south, in search of what ever fate will give her. For she will not settle for wanton death out of stubborn pride, out of refusing to relinquish lord-ship of the northern coasts to an invading nation too powerful to resist.
I would intend for her to enter without any of her remarkable powers. Perhaps she is captured by the very same who are performing these terrible magical rites... and her Liradan powers etc are but a happy by-product of the horrors to which she is administered by the sorcerers in concern -if that is what they are. Perhaps her escape might be the key to locating their centre of operation? Perhaps her capture, having met the main-characters will motivate a rescue attempt?
In the act of overcoming these sorcerers -again, if that is what they are- I hope to establish her evolution into a bearer of the Liradan-equipment, of mastering the breath-sense, and of bonding with a root-golem.
Does this please? Is this a suitable addition to the story-line?
What or who is doing these unspeakable acts I wonder? I'm reminded almost of the opening of Sleepy Hollow... Are we to encounter something Undead? Is this the work of Wraiths, or Trolls? Or evil men? The imagination boggles.
At any rate, I'd love to see Marillie in a capacity as the barely-leashed black panther in Ithils' shadow. I would hope that his state of grace and would help master the terrible things and magic wreaked upon her -into the goodness that is the Liradan magic...

Yay! This sounds awesome. We should coordinate regarding the antagonists, since Marillie will be interacting with them, or perhaps have her interact with the cronies/peons of the bad guys if you'd like that better (I'll leave that up to you! I'm fine with either!).

I'm not intending for this to be anything like Sleepy Hollow (actually, I haven't seen it ^_^), so no undead/zombies/etc. Well, unless you want to add something of that sort in, I'm open to it! Really, as I said, I haven't written the plot much, but I had in mind for the antagonists to mirror Ithil, and hence be mages.

Anyway, that sounds great! If you want to plot or coordinate on anything in particular just post below.

Second, this sounds like fantastic fun =) and I'd hope there'd still be a little room for a simple woodsman to acompany your rag-a-tag band along. Ok, so a group of the duke's finest probably aren't that rag-a-tag, but that's beside the point. I would love a chance to, well, improve my writing, my understanding of Aneirin and simply to rp!
Anywho, without further rambling, I would be honoured to join your illustrious (that seems like a fairer description) company. I'm thinking, if you'll have me, that he would have been alerted to this dark sorcery somehow, possibly a simple feeling or no more than a whisper on the winds. Heading to Anan Dae, he meets Kalin along the road and joins in, to find more of what it is that has been troubling him.

If you have any other suggestions, or don't want me, then that's fine, but hopefully I'll see you soon.

That'd be great! I don't want to let things progress too slowly, so why don't we have them meet in Anan Dae instead? I'll probably have Kalin overnight at an Inn of some sort, that may be ideal.

Guh, the writing seems horrible to me, especially compared to you two XD but still, there is always the oppurtunity to improve! Hopefully Ill be able to improve through the course of this.

Aneirin - tag! I'm sorry for not responding more directly to your character, I'd written most of my post earlier this week before yours was up, so I worked you in towards the end.

Blood - I'm not opposed to another character joining, but how would you work your werewolf into the story?

I could join, Romolus might bear witness to the heinous and mysterious murder, and being of a strong spiritualism he would call upon some Garou ancestors to seek their wisdom. Something like this could have effects on the natural world, and since Romolus'' element is nature it would make sense that he would try and assist in stoppoing whatever caused the deaths of those people. Plus it would also be good to experiment with Romolus and see how he would do in a prodominatley human village.

On second thought, I don't think Bloodspill would fit in well with the plot now that I've read through it. Pity that I cannot participate with either you or Curin in an RP, but perhaps we can get together later and think of something.

Apologies for not joining in -as such- quite yet... just came to mind to set up a situation where maybe Marillies pursuit for retribution might be perceived as the actions of the bad-guys...
That way we have a RPer setting up the conflict for a time... anyway. I'll let you guys get settled in in the village, and establish the terror of Marillie in the back-ground (I'm afraid none of those that have been interviewed, in spite of being cleared, are going to survive...)

No worries! I really like that, actually. If in your next post you do something to attract Kalin's attention (such as killing all of the wagoners) I'll drag Marillie in to Kalin's part of the plot.
