Damon - April 20, 2008 01:16 AM (GMT)
It had taken Damon nearly a week to travel this far. He had taken a glance at a map before leaving but even he didn't truly believe it would talk that long. Arda was truly large indeed. He had spent most of that time in the air, flying. Resting only when he needed too.

Now sitting upon a large mossy boulder near a small pond he tried to think of his reason for coming here in the first place. Things like this tended to happen quite frequent as his memory wasn't as good as he wished. From something simple like misplacing his journal to forgetting way he came to a place. Behind him several waterfalls hammered the rocks below and collected in small puddles which had overflowed long ago creating smaller waterfalls that entered the larger pond which he sat near. There was no questioning how Alulanta Falls had gotten it's name.

Shacking his head of the cobwebs he realized he had let his mind wonder to long. Which brought his attention back to his problem at hand, why had he come here in the first place? A few moments later he still had no success. Slowly moving his hand back and forth in the small pond next to him he continued to think. The the water was chilly it didn't bother him at all, after all the day had been unusually hot and the shade from the small cliff face.

Then as if a spark went off in his head he remembered. An old friend of his had asked him for his help, the kind of help that only he could provide, or at least the only one he knew. His friend lived with a small group of people in a small encampment somewhere around here. One of their seers had foreseen an attack and the group wanted to prevent it without any bloodshed. And of course Damon was known for solving problems in just that way. So why was he just sitting here and not helping out.

Once again it took him a few moments to remember the details. He had asked for help himself. He wasn't sure if he would be able to deal with this one on his own so he had asked someone who he believed to be trustworthy to come along. He had agreed to meet him here at this small pond. So where was he?

Perhaps he wouldn't show, how well did he knew this person any ways? It would be just his luck to find someone like this. But perhaps he was just a little late, after all this place was rather secluded and it would likely take him twice as long to get here then he had. The man had no wings so unless he found a ride on something he would likely walk the entire way.

But what was he spoused to do while he waited here. Leaning back he realized there was nothing really to do at the moment. Resting his head upon a smaller mossy rock he pulled out his journal and opened to the first black page and began to doodle.
