Laying under a shady tree in mid day, was Kirik Foetip. Kirik was relaxing after a hot day of hunting in the plains. "This is so nice.." he said to himself softly in the spring breeze. his cooking fire crackling sofly to his left. "Hm.." he said "looks like the stew is done." Being a cook kirik could make virtually anything as long as he had the supplies, the time, and the will. As kirik took the stew out of his wooden pot, he heard a noise in a bush to the north. "what plains animal makes that noise?" he wondered. He grabbed his bow and slowly walked over to the bush, keeping his distance at about 10 yards. He fired a warning arrow into the tree next to the bush to flush the critter out. This was no critter. Running toward kirik at full speed was a dark and glowing figure. Kirik fired a shot into the figure which did not faze it and ran for it.

I looked up at the clear blue sky. what a beutiful day. I thought. a cool breze swept over me. it felt as if life itself was nowhere but here. I got up from the warm grass and started walking. Where I was walking I had no idea, just walking. Another breeze swept over me and I closed my eyes. I spread my arms to my sides and spun around enjoying the day. "ahhhh," I said taking in a mouth full of air. It tasted sweet. I opened my eyes up and looked fowrard. Was....was that a person, I thought. Why is he running? I looked behind him, and saw what he was running from, a dark black figure. I had never seen that creature in the fields! I ran towards t I dare not call to him, I do not want to attract atention. as I got closer I relized it was a boy. I've got to help him!
