How powerful is a sprite? Could a gnome (an earth sprite), for example, cause an earthquake? Could they cause chunks of hardened earth, rocks, and so forth to suddenly sprout forth and whallop opponents? Or can they just use minor to moderately powered spells of their element? Exactly what is meant by "strong elemental magic"?

Also, can the feat Weapon Focus be used only on a single weapon, or can it be used on a weapon type? For instance, could I only use it on a longbow or could I use it for bows in general?

I'm also interested in how strong a sprite is.......for obvious reasons.

In response to your second question, Weapon Focus is for a weapon type, not one weapon. For example, if you have Weapon Focus - Swords, you can pick up any sword and fight with it.

I dunno about the sprites, that sounds like a Loth judgment.

I would think that if the sprite was used as a PC or even an NPC the elemental magic would simply be the affinity for that magic, for example a Earth elemental should be able to move rocks and maybe throw dirt or something but in order for thier affinty to become stronger I would think you would have to buy spells like earthquake.

Hm. Interesting. I think I will wait to see if an admin has something to say about this, but that kinda makes sense. And thanks, Wraith. That makes more sense than a single weapon being the target of Weapon Focus.
