The water was clear, the sun was out and it was a beautiful day. The lake was calm, fish swimming under it and a gentle breeze blew across. Such day was perfect for a lake visit Ein decided as he flew just about a foot above it. With a smile on his face, he looked at his reflection in the water. Just awhile ago he couldn't even remember how to properly fight or his sword techniques, but now he remembered fractions of his past...And he despised it, which is why he was now living a new life. Ein put his hand on the surface of the water, skimming it as he flew.
"I can't believe I used to be a killing machine for my clan before this..." Ein said softly to himself. He leaned a bit to the right, letting his wings gently touch the water a bit. He shivered a bit due to the sudden temperature change and the slight awkwardness of his wings being touched by the water. He looked up a bit and saw he was beginning to approach the shores of the lake. He flipped in the air a bit then began to descent downwards towards. From there, he began to walk around instead, his wings going back behind his cloak again to conceal them.

((OOC: I couldn't resist :p))
Things had been growing hectic for the half angel, and not just because of the organization of evil that had come into existence, the Shadovar Concordance. Winter had been made the second in command of her own guild, B.A.D.I and as such a lot of responsibility had been dropped on her shoulders. Sartana had left the guild and Merenwen had been left in charge, but seemed unable to keep the guild together and as a result a rebellion had grown within the guild itself. Such bad timing made it all the more essential that Winter do her best to complete the jobs the guardian of water gave her, and so had been working herself more than she'd like to.
In truth, if it hadn't been at Merenwen's request Winter wouldn't have accepted the position of second in command, she hated the idea of ranks and titles and most especially hated the whole idea of the guild itself, however it was a necessary step for her if she was able to continue in this world. She saw the guild as just another meaningless organization created for killing, no matter how you looked at it.
Winter sighed and closed her eyes, trying to block out the thoughts flying through her head. In an attempt to get some peace from the troubled life she lead at the moment she had come to her favorite spot (well it was considered her favorite spot as she spent a lot of her time here when she wanted to get away from large crowds of people, it was a confirmed fact Winter had virtually no emotions). Gazing out at the water gave her a relaxed feeling, perhaps because of her attribute of ice and cold.
At the moment though, she was lying down and looking up at the sky and the clouds moving overhead. She let out another long breath and rolled onto her side, resigning herself to staring across the ground instead. A ladybird was walking up a blade of grass just in front of her, unaware of the ice cold angel staring at it. The sound of water met her ears and she blinked, sitting up and gazing about. She scanned the immediate area and noticed someone touch down on the shore and fold away a pair of angelic wings. They weren't nearly as large nor as soft to be a pure angel's so Winter concluded this person was only partially of angelic blood. Still, his wings were far bigger than hers.
Alacult - April 13, 2008 11:22 AM (GMT)
Alacult had heard that this lake was a peaceful place that one might come to reflect upon their self, having nothing else better to do at the time the infernal being made his way towards the short line of the seemingly calm lake a small smile played upon his lips as he placed his hands into the pockets of his long brown coat.
Letting a long, drawn out yawn escape he mouth his eyes heavy and only half open as the sunlight beat down upon him and a gentle breeze pushed the blades of grass around him back and fourth he simply fell onto his back with a soft thud, letting his arms rest above his head as he did so the sun reflecting off of his emerald green glasses.
Glancing to the right he noticed only the tree line and the water pushing up against the short, glancing to the left he noticed a winged figure landing along the shore line, squinting through his circle lens glasses he was able to make out the wings that the figure had, it seemed to him to be an angel or something of that sort it would seem. With a small sigh he leaned up pulling his glasses down to the tip of his nose looking out over the frame its self, he noticed at this point not one, but two people in the same general area that he was in. With a simple frown the demon reached into his bag pulling out the hand crafted clockwork spider he had made not to long ago he set it upon the grass, suddenly it sprung to life skittering around Alacult making a soft "Tick, Tick, Tick, Tick, Tick" sound as each of its eight legs met the soft ground.
The spider stopped for a moment, seemingly to look at Alacult, its copper frame shineing brightly against the sun light as was Alacults Clockwork arm, then with a soft motion from Alacult the spider was on his way towards the two that had arrived at the lake as well, first the spider made its way towards the half-angel girl all the time making soft "..Tick, Tick, Tick, Tick, Tick" sounds.
Laying back Alacult simply smiled wondering how they might respond to the strange little construct he had made, folding his arms behind his back he laid down in the soft grass watching the spider and the Half-Angels intently, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose the demon waited to see what his holy counterparts did.

As Ein walked around, he could sense everything around him. He sensed all the life in the area, even the fish, which he probably should have noticed sooner before he lost his memories, but....He couldn't for whatever reason. He always thought the whole world as full of evil, which apparently wasn't so. Among the presences he sensed something odd. He looked towards where it came from and saw....A angelic girl staring back at him? She wasn't too far from him, and this was the first Angelic being besides himself that he had seen after he lost his memories, which was...Interesting to say the least.
He looked over the girl a bit. She had aqua blue hair and seemed to be dressed mostly in blue, though a much lighter shade than his. He also noticed that her wings....Were much smaller than his? Even though he was a half Angel, he could still fly around with relative ease, but he couldn't be too sure about her. He didn't sense any evil about her...But he didn't sense much else either which confused him. His mind shrugged off the thoughts and he gave a shy wave to the girl.

Winter wasn't usually the sort of person who'd attempt to socialize with other people, and this trait had no exceptions. She was the sort of person who believed friendship can only lead to other people taking advantage of it, and she did not wish to give any people who might have a grudge against her another weakness to exploit. However at the moment it looked like she had little choice. After all, being the only other person in an almost deserted area made her a prime target for any wandering strangers to come over and talk to. Sadly Winter wouldn't offer them much conversation even if she wanted to socialize, she had little interest and wasn't exactly a very interesting person to talk to.
However, it didn't seem like the stranger was keen to socialize with her either, he waved her at but showed no sings of coming over and talking to her. Winter was almost relieved, although she had no capability to feel such a thing and therefore the phrase would be entirely wasted on her. She heaved a sigh and got to her feet, sitting here all day wasn't going to do her any good if random strangers kept popping up at random moments.
She should probably think about getting her wings cut off as well, they were so small and insignificant that all they did was get in her way whenever she lay down or tried to lean against something, and they were a dead weight when she was trying to defend herself. She picked up her twin katana that were resting on the ground in an 'X' shaped scabbard and strapped them to her back again, feeling their weight on her shoulders once again, it was almost a reassuring feeling.
The other half angel would probably have lost interest in her by now, as she wasn't very interesting, not in her opinion anyway. However she wouldn't be able to shrug him off easily if he did try and start up a conversation with her. She moved to walk away when something else interrupted her. The sound of soft clicking, followed by small footfalls on the ground and the slow rustling of grass. Something small was moving her way and wasn't making any effort to try and hide itself.
She turned about and cast her cat-like eyes downwards, the pupils growing thinner as they scanned the field in front of her. Something shone at her from between the grass, something moving. Winter took a closer look at it and saw that it was a shining bronze spider.
An armored spider? She thought.
However its movements were unnatural and every move was jerky and accompanied by the odd clicking sound. Suddenly Winter's own past came up behind her and an unimaginable possibility swept through her mind.
"A homunculus?" She muttered.
She took a few steps back, keeping her eyes on the strange creature and went for one of her katana.

They didn’t seem to notice him laying there in the grass yet, which to him was a blessing of sorts, Alacult didn’t want to broadcast where he was as of yet, he simply enjoyed toying with the people that were already here. Slowly tapping his leather bound foot against the ground absent mindedly he watched the spider skitter towards the half angel girl, a small smile forming against the edges of his mouth as he finally got a good look at her, well as much of a good look as he could from where he was, raising his right eyebrow the inventor spoke quietly to him self.
"Just a bit short, but easy on the eyes none the less, and a lovely figure to boot...wonder what her name is, hmm.."
A smile playing across his lips as he stroked his chin with his clockwork hand, almost standing up to go meet her when he noticed her hand moving towards her weapons and watching his brass spider intently, almost as if she were about to pounce on it and destroy the little critter which while wouldn’t make him too happy to see, he would be able to rebuild the little guy with little effort on his part.
Meanwhile the tiny construct skittered along the grass towards it targets, while it had no intention of hurting or attacking anyone, it was much like Alacult in that manner preferring to toy with people and confuse them. Soon the little brass spider came upon the young half angel standing their staring at it, stopping for a moment the spider jumped a bit at her then started to skitter around her in a circle, simply being playful in that respect.
With a heavy, annoyed sigh Alacult finally got to his feet, taking his coat off setting it onto the ground where he was, over his bag and scabbard, he stretched his arms as he walked towards her and the other half angel wanting to get a closer look at that one as well, with a soft smile he raised his machine arm and gave a small wave to her, his other hand rest at his side in a relaxed manner his "XIII" tattoo stood out like a sore thumb on his good hand, but was dwarfed by how odd his machine arm must look to most.
With a soft laugh he made his way closer to her, the spider mockingly making circles around her, eyeing the other half angel in the area he also offered a wave towards him in a very friendly manner.
"..Hello over there!.."
Placing both of his hands into his pant pockets he finally got a good look at her, she was short to say the least but that didn’t seem to bother him. Alacult titled his head to the side noticing her small angelic wings, they were cute but entirely useless he would have to bet, even as small as she was wings like that couldn’t carry much against the wind. With a small sigh he stopped a small distance away from her titling his head to meet her gaze.
"..Take it easy, Take it easy now, that little guy means you no harm..."

Ein looked surprise at the newcomer from before. He hadn't sensed anything. Perhaps he was just out of his range? Ein pondered a bit on what to do, before deciding to reply. "Ehh...Umm...Hello!" Ein said as he waved. He considered whether or not to fly over to them an talk. Instead he simply walked over slowly. He was slightly cautious of new people...And recently he hadn't been able to talk to anybody except Ian and Meglumar very well. ESPECIALLY with women. This troubled him slightly.
"Err....Sorry if I'm disturbing anyone. I was just interested in seeing another half angel. I've never seen another one before." Ein said as he looked down. He was still a bit shy around people he didn't know, and he was in the presence of a Half Angel girl. Slightly interesting to him. His focus then shifted to the man. The man seemed to own the....Armored spider?, Crawling around the girl. The man was missing a arm, and in it's place was a mechanical one. Even when he had his memories, Ein probably had never seen a arm like that before. He stared a it curiously.

Winter continued to watch the small creature carefully, however it seemed undisturbed by her and carried on moving bout her in a very jagged pattern, each step giving off another click of metal.
Wait, if it were a homunculus it would have recognized me by now, Winter thought Small as it is, it should have displayed some sort of ability by now.
Winter released her grip on her weapon, letting her arm rest by her side again. If this strange metal creature wasn't a homunculus then what was it? A golem? An illusion?
She looked up as another person approached, seeming to be the owner of the creature, reassuring them that the creature meant them no harm.
"I'm pretty sure that if it meant he any harm it would have done so by now instead of scuttling about on the floor," she looked down at the creature then back up at its owner.
It was then that Winter noticed the stranger's arm, the sun reflected off the same bronze metal that the spider appeared to be made out of. For a fraction of a second surprise lingered upon Winter's face before it was replaced by the same emotionless expression she always held.
So, a metal arm, she thought Is he a homunculus, and this strange creature his powers? Or perhaps his arm has some other explanation.
Winter knew that she should never judge by a person's appearance, after all she was a living example of that. The other angel was approaching, somewhat reluctantly but all the same he did mutter a greeting. Winter turned her eyes in his direction this time, although he had nothing about him that interested her. However she had to admit his not meeting another half angel until now a bit surprising.
"You noticed then," she replied, referring to the tiny wings on her back.
Alacult - April 20, 2008 09:35 AM (GMT)
Turning his light hearted gaze back towards the male half angel he tilted his head in a small curious manner, a small frown pulling across the left side of his face, once Winter spoke again he pulled his head back facing her again, his frown quickly forming into a smile that pulled back the edges of his mouth with little effort on his part. Alacult had a knack for reading people and noticing things that others would simply pass off as nothing special or different, however Alacult saw things from a different prospective and he could tell that their was something she was a bit edgy about, but for what reason? Pondering this thought as her attention seemed to be drawn to the other at the moment.
Then suddenly, like a light went off in his head he remembered a story he had heard with perhaps some truth in it after all, having worked closely with many alchemist in his time he had heard rumors, stories and other small tib-bits of information regarding people and events that should be lost across the pages of time and history, however this one just seemed a bit too much for Alacult to not mention, perhaps it was her that he had heard about, in any case maybe he should see how she reacted to him and his silly little story.
"..My sweet little half angel, you remind me of a story i once heard about a young half angel girl, with wings that were only useful for catching the wind and slowing her down, you see....this girl was hunted by Alchemist, but for what reason?.."
He simply paused after that watching her, reaching up with his brass arm, pushing the frame of his emerald shaded glasses up to the bridge of his nose again, a smile playing upon his face, raising his arms and stretching them out, letting a long yawn slip out of his dry mouth, he folded his arms behind his head and watched her movements intently, trying to figure out what she was thinking or feeling for that matter. Alacult simply tilted his head to the side his smile slowly fading away.
"..So, have you ever heard any stories like that? kinda lame right? So what do you think?.."
Looking off to the side he shook his head, maybe he was wrong, but damn it his inquisitive nature was going to get the best of him this time, so simply waiting for her to respond in any way, raising his left foot gently he began to tap his toes against the ground gently, his arms folded behind his head.
