Midori did not like the sight he saw when ever he looked around. He was not even sure why he was here. He had heard rumors about this place, about the dead. He was glad it was day, even if it is still dark. Midori just wanted to be out of there soon as possible. He guessed he had to cross this area to get to where ever he was going. Midori was still not sure where he was heading. All he knew was that he was going somewhere. He had used polymorph self to turn him into a human child of twelve. Pretty much only size changed and lost his wings. Thats how he went. Kept his apearance when using this spell.

Midori was now about five feet and one inch tall now. He had only a while left on it, about half hour. He did not want to be his small self while traveling around here. He had stopped running a short while ago, Midori didn't like having to use his legs. He wished he had his wings but it was going to play it safe. Holding both of his hands together like a nervous reck, he kept walking. He prayed to the deities that he would get out of here before nightfall.

Given the darkness of the area, It was hard to see. There was, off about 20 feet from Midori's position, the sound of bones being tripped over, a dull thump as a body hit the ground, and muffled cursing. Ian got up from where he had fallen, brushing bits of rotted matter off his ragged travel cloak. How unpleasent. And then Ian had to swing his leg back and forth to get the ribcage he had accidentally stepped in off.

"Gah! Vile human remains, get off of me! I swear, if this thing re-animates..."

Ian trailed off, the unfinished threat lingering. It may have been day, but slogging through a graveyard rumoured to periodically re-animate itself was enough to wreck Ian's focus. Typically, evil magic involved undead. Ian wasn't going NEAR that stuff, he HATED undead. Not out of fear, but because they were just DISGUSTING! Ian was a narcissistic man, he regarded things based on power and beauty. The latter probably stemming from his Nymph/Elven heritage, which he took pride in, knowing he was DAMNED good looking. He planned to make use of it with an Enchantment spell.

Ian continued stumbling around, paying much more attention to the ground then anything else, completely missing the fact that Midori was there. He really did not want to step in another corpse.

Hriky - April 24, 2008 11:21 PM (GMT)
Midori was walking like he was flying in the air, he was moving gracefully and lightly over the corpes on the ground with ease. He had gotten use to this after walking for only a few minutes. His barefeet didn't bent a single brittle bone in this dead land.

Midori heard something, he heard speaking coming from nearby. It wasn't that loud but Midori heard it almost like mumbling like trying to listen to someone in a huge crowd. This did not help the fairies' fear of this place. He stopped and looked around then heard someone coming towards him. He was paralized with fright. After a moment he saw someone, it looked like a human enough.

Umm, hello there. Why are you looking at the ground like that? Midori asked. It was a stupid question by a long shot. But Midori had to ask something or it may end up a little bit weirder, the person was focusing on the ground while walking.

"Because I got my foot stuck in a damnable ribcage, tripped, and fell into a corpse. I don't want to have to deal with such a revolting circumstance again." Ian grumbled in response. He didn't regard Midori as much, given he tookt he form of a 12 year old boy. Though when he realized that, he had to think.

"What in the world is a child doing in here?"

It wasn't everyday you saw a prepubecent boy in a place of death and horror, much less out on his own. Compared to looking at the ground as he walked, this was much stranger. Was he lost? Did he get attacked and fled here? Well, there wasn't any suitable answer to that...so he asked.

"What are you doing here, boy?"

Hriky - April 25, 2008 01:04 AM (GMT)
Midori did not want that happening to him, getting his foot stuck in one of these things did not seem very comforting at all. He was standing on the skull of of something large enough for his feet to fit on. He did not have difficult walking, he was use to be a light weight. I am leaving as quickly as I can, thats what. Midori said not wanting to be here any longer, it would be a whiles away. I am going somewhere and this seemed like teh quickest way for some reason. the disguised fairy added starting to move in the direction he was going. He did not want to stay and chat and wanted to keep going and leave soon. The sooner he was near a forest, the better.

Ian watched Midori walk. To be honest, there wasn't much he'd do. A 12 year old wouldn't have anything valuble, or be a good practice fight. So he decided to disregard Midori. Then he had another idea, and began following Midori. "I'm not lost, I just tend to wander. If you know the way out, then I will follwo you."

Simple logic. Effective, though.

Midori did not feel very cormfortable with this person following him. He still had to keep his guard up and was not sure if he could trust this person. He just nodded and continued along. Well, it is a feild right? Anyway should be the way out, it has to end sooner or later. he said stating the obvious. Anyone was out, he was just heading a sirten direction. He picked up his pace moving a little bit fast trying to keep a distance from himself and the person. He then remebered he only had like two minutes left on polymorph. This was not very good if this person would find a reason to hurt him.

Ian did not intend any harm on the being he regarded as a child. A Chaotic-aligned person may do so, but certainly not Ian. Why attack a child, anyway? All that would do is mark him as a petty bully. He noted the lack of any sophisticated speech from Midori, but then, he thought of Midori as a child, so he didn't regard it as too much. Though he quickly realized, as he fell behind, that Midori was trying to widen the gap between them. Rolling his eyes and picking up his pace, he tried to ease Midori's fears.

"For goodness sakes, I'm not going to eat you! Slow down."

Then Ian thought about it. Land of the dead, child acting as his guide...tis could be a trap of sorts. Ian wondered if Midori was some sort of shapeshifting Wight, luring him into a gaggle of his cohorts, ready to tear into Ian's flesh. Paranoia maybe, but in an area like this, it was well founded. Ian placed a hand near his sword, ready to grab a hold of it at a moments notice.

Hriky - April 27, 2008 02:21 AM (GMT)
Midori did not want to anger the person so he did slow down a bit. But the next thing that happened he did not expect from the way he was moving a moment ago. He tripped into a bunch of bones. They scattered into random directions. His polymorph time had run out the moment he fell. He was a fairy hiding int a pile of bones. He came out of an opening on the side trying not to be noticed. He tried to fly low unnoticed in the same direction. Maybe he was having good luck and this was his day. He looked back for a moment as he hit a rock jaggering out of the ground at random hard. He fell to the ground lightly. He sat there rubbing his skull, this hurt quite a bit.

Ian started when he realized his guide of sorts had just vanished into thin air. In his mind, this confirmed his suspicions. Whipping out his saber and looking back and forth like a hunting dog, he growled.

"I knew it. Alright spectres, appear before me! Ian DeSarva Vaner does not become a hunted animal with such ease! Your prey has become your predator!"

Ian began pacing about, kicking random piles of bones, though he'd be about 30 feet away from Midori's pile. His earlier suspicions would probably become obvious to Midori.

Midori stiffened when the person yelled out something. Ian was his name. Midori wanted to move but his wings would not move. His feet or hands. He could not move. This person was psycho. He was attacking random pile of bones. Why was he doing that, what would he get out of it. Was he looking for him or something. He had calmed down as Ian was not coming near by. He climbed up the rock and watched him go to work on the bones. Midori was not aware that he was losing day light everymoment he didn't continue. There was only a limited time in the day he had.

"Is this one a zombie? No..." Ian bashed apart a corpse. "This one?" BASH. "Nope."

A long string of "BASH-No""s later, Ian focused on the air.

"Damn! If only I had the right spell for this...Well then, I'll do THIS!"

Ian cast Haste on himself as fast as he could, and began swinging away with his sword wildly at the air. He looked silly, but really, his actions were pretty logical, once you grasped the reasoning behind them. He was starting to move closer to Midori's position, but since he was ignoring the bones and bodies, the worst thing he'd have to worry about would be Ian tripping and landing on him.

Hriky - April 27, 2008 05:20 AM (GMT)
Midori was sure of it now, 'This guy is a nutjob.' he thought as he started swinging at the air. Midori kept himself from laughing enough due to the area around him. It was still creepy besides the funny looking and actioned person infront of him. Midori flew into the air trying to calm this psycho down. He did not know why he was doing this, but if he just left him like this it may come back and get him later. Hey hey, calm down. Are you on drugs or something. Midori blurted out before he releashed what the hell he was saying. It may just get the person mad at him. He flew out of reach of Ian just incase.

Ian was highly annoyed by the fairy. "What does it LOOK like I'm doing? Some brat led me here, then disappeared into thin air. CLEARLY a malevolent spirit trying to lure me here, so I, at first, decided to smash the bodies around here in case there was an undead ambush. When that clearly wasn't working, I began swinging at the air! GOD! Am I on drugs...HONESTLY...Are you an idiot?"

It was interesting to note just how differently an action could be interpreted by two different people.

Hriky - April 27, 2008 05:57 AM (GMT)
Ian's imganation was ether wild, or Midori really tricked this person without knowing it. He sighed after he finished. I'm not a brat, or an idoit. he said still out of reach. Atleast he knew why Ian was doing this know, he thought it was a conspriacy against him. The fairy shook his head and thought about leaving this person right here right now. He just turned around and headed in the direction he was going. He kept looking back to see if he was being followed or not. He did not want to be followed by that psycho.

Pancake Mix - April 27, 2008 05:38 PM (GMT)
Ian just gave up there and then. Clearly the fairy was the sort of narrowminded individual Ian wasn't exactly fond of, so Ian re-cast Haste on himself, and dashed off perpendicular to Midori's path. Screw it, he figured.
