Midori buzzed through the forest. He was slightly above the mist but still couldn't see very well of what was ahead. He was still unsure of where he was going. All he knew that he was going somewhere. Midori was fiddling with his belongings in his bag. Gentling wrapping his fingers around one of the spring flowers he pulled it out and looked at it for a moment. He decided to put it in his hair. He liked to have it there at times. He noticed he was not paying any attention to wear he was flying and flew right smack into a tree. This hurt of course but he didn't make any noises besides the contact with the tree. Midori rubbed his skull and looked around. He had lost direction of which way he was going.

Of all the places in the world the forest of mist had to be the most misty place Jet has ever been hence the name he supposed. He did not know where he was going, nor did he care 'twas after all one of his wayward travels from his shop in Lómëdor. Things where going smoothly, as he stretched his bandaged arm like appendages, he knew that something was different but he could not place his thoughts on it. No, nothing was wrong. He continued to walk on admiring the swirling mist when he was smacked in the head by something flying about. It did not hurt, in the traditional sense of the word, but it certainly startled him.

Midori turned around and started to fly in a random direction when he hit something. He looked and saw what looked like a mumified man. There were some parts open and it was hollow inside. This really really freaked Midori out to almost losing consousness. But his wings stopped fluttering and he fell to the ground. He moved his hands and a leaf from a plant on the ground cought him safely. He looked up at the walking bandages speechless and with a bit of horror.
Jetemia Reznikek - April 10, 2008 09:21 PM (GMT)
He looked about with a start to see where the source of this disturbance. In the swirling mist there was nothing to see, the lighting just barely enough to tell that the The elemental soon realized that the it probably fell so naturally he had directed his sight to the ground quickly spotting the culprit. The culprit being a nature Pixie. Curiousity taking over he reached over to pick up but thought better of as soon as he saw the sentience in his eyes. "Hello there, it seems you ran in to me just now" he said good naturedly.
Hriky - April 10, 2008 09:45 PM (GMT)
It would take words for Midori to snap out of his horror, and thats what the man provived. Midori shook his head lightly and scampled for words. "Umm, sorry." he said sheepeshly taking flight again. He was still horrified by the sight but did not show it. But he did show his everyday timidness by fiddling with his fingers and not making eye contact. If that thing had eyes.
Jetemia Reznikek - April 27, 2008 04:29 AM (GMT)
He could see that the thing was uncomfortable, those feelings tended to come around with him. Well it may be a first but he was determined to try something he never tried before. Jetemia's body was naturally a roughly human shape and underneath those bandages was a glassy substance mostly transparent it was his skin, pure time incarnate born from magic and something else, so if he were to focus he could change the shape, texture and such; With a prickle starting from his head a thought manipulated his body, his features to be more man like, until his features where an exact mimicry of a glass human. As soon as he was finished he gently pulled some of the bandages off his head and exclaimed, "That was strange! Well now tell me small one, is this better?"
Hriky - April 27, 2008 04:44 AM (GMT)
The young fairy had no clue what this thing was, but it seem to mean no harm. It showed what seemed like a face. Midori nodded to him about his question. He looked down and then at the man's face. Umm, if you don't mind me asking, what in the name of Cuidhrìn are you? he asked curiousity showing in his voice but also followed by his timidness. He flew back a bit so he would not be directly in the man's face when he flew to eye level. It moved his hand under him as a small branch started to grow out of the tree. It was small enough to be snapped off by a human's fingers and held in its hands. This was all Midori needed as he sat on it. He waited for the man's answer.
Jetemia Reznikek - April 27, 2008 04:56 AM (GMT)
Indeed, what was he? The elemental wasn't entirely sure. The more he thought of it the more it hurt his head, which didn't make alot of sense but probably was some sort of vestigial feelings from his past in which he didn't know. So he chose his words carefully, "Well, I believe that what I am is not that big of a deal, however it seems that I myself am not sure. Yet, " he paused, "I do know that I'm not from this world, and that I may have been at one point some sort of mortal." He scanned the fairy for it's emotions, if anything he betted that he would be confused, but he was only waiting. He wondered how he would respond, knowing that there are others out there beyond this world, would he be scared?
Hriky - April 27, 2008 05:14 AM (GMT)
Midori did not expect this kind of answer. It was an odd one, to not know what yourself is. Midori was a fairy, that was obvious and almost everyone could tell that. Those that couldn't tell were probably like Trolls or Lizarians. The fairy had never seen one of these creatures at first hand and hoped he never would. A dragon would know well what a fairy was but would they even care to look for one? Probably not.
Moving onto the topic at hand, Midori listened interested as the man told his story. It was very interesting to his curiousity to everything. He wanted to know more about this but was not going to ask or push information from this man that was not even sure what he was. It just wouldn't seen right. Well, what is your name then? he asked waiting for an answer before giving his own name.
Jetemia Reznikek - April 27, 2008 05:25 AM (GMT)
His name? He knew what it was but then how come it was so hard to remeber? No it was Jetieh-no Jetemia Reznikek, which he conveyed in turn. "It is getting so hard to rember things. So, what is your name?" It was difficult not blurting out what he could remeber of his past, he could rember little but those details just so happened to be extremely clear. So he allowed his arms, carefully formed into humanish digits to lose its definition and swing like long strands of glassy putty as he concentrated on more of his lost memories.
Hriky - April 27, 2008 05:38 AM (GMT)
Midori was now even more shocked, not remembering your own name. That was unthinkable. Midori was alone most of his life and he knew his name. Well, I'm Midori. Since you can't remember your own name can I call you something? How about Kaika or something? If you don't want me to I won't. the fairy said, he would have to be called something. A name is something that is used in conversations. The fairy's point of view on ths situation was much different then the one of the time element. Midori's mind was slowling to a single point of view stop.
Jetemia Reznikek - April 27, 2008 06:07 AM (GMT)
What an amusing little fairy. "Kaika will do fine, I personally don't mind at all." He replied "so what brings you here to this misty forest? All this whiteness makes it hard to see, no?" He gave a gesture to the smokey landscape. This place was certainly not new to someone as him, well kind of, to him everywhere is a new place even if he had been to it a thousand times but thats different, but for a fairy it would seem a bit different in his opinion.
Hriky - April 27, 2008 02:41 PM (GMT)
Midori nodded to him. Hard to see, yes. I am here because I am going somewhere. I do not yet know, just somewhere. he said, he still did not know where he was going. He remembered other places he had already been on the way. He wondered where Ayra had gone off to. He missed her. Welll, I have been to worse places. Midori added meaning that almost every place besides other woodland. He liked to be in the forest where he could be with the nature in it. So, where are you going, or are you just wandering too?
Jetemia Reznikek - April 28, 2008 12:43 AM (GMT)
The element was once again troubled by the thought, it wasn't anywhere in particular that he was headed, no it was more of a vacation from his work that lead him to here. "Well it seems that i have no real purpose of why I'm here and no real purposeful place to go, but I do intend on returning to my home in Lómëdor. For now I'm content in merely wandering about maybe going west until i meet up with some dwarves so I can arrange to have shipments of clockwork products delivered to my shop. So to awnser your question yes i am wandering in this forest too." He looked about and surveyed this surroundings, something wasn't right... there was a clicking sound in the distance that he didn't like and it was getting closer. "I'm guessing you are wandering about? Also do you hear something? "
Hriky - April 28, 2008 01:06 AM (GMT)
The clicking that rang through the forest hit Midori's ears very well. He could hear it. He nodded to both questions. The fairies' small ears didn't enjoy the sound. They were hurting but not much. They were still too faint to do any real damage to his ears. He started to look around. He could see nothing but Kaika and the mist around them. I have no clue what that was. Midori said under his breath almost in a whisper. His eyes showed fear when directly looked into but the fairy was looking in the direction of the sound.
Jetemia Reznikek - May 7, 2008 03:47 AM (GMT)
The sound drifted through the forest, the chattering, clicking noise of something chitinous. As abruptly as the noise was heard it was gone. "Maybe it was nothing" He said to himself quietly, loudly he added, "So on to something less ominous, have you heard of the realm of dreams? It seems to be a place with this forest that manifests the dreams and nightmares of the those who wander in there. It is certainly a fascinating place to go if I ever end up going, I really want to go..." he trailed off rambling and thinking to himself about the prospect of meeting a dream come to life. The mist whirled around the two lazily as the sun, which was invisible to the creatures underneath the veiled forest, began to drift towards the horizon.
Somewhere deep in the shadows of the forest...
I wants, I wants to feed on flesh... came the dark thoughts of a creature of hate and many legs.
Hriky - May 7, 2008 09:38 PM (GMT)
Midori didn't want to listen to Kaika's talk about the realm of dreams. But he did anyways. Everything he had heard about that place was just disturbing and or terrifying. Not a place the small fairy would wander. The mist seemed thick as ever. It made Midori slightly uneasy. But he has been this intire time he was in this mist. Well, I hope you get your wish to do there. he said looking directly at the face that has formed on Kaika a while ago. What could there be in this forest in the realm of dreams was that close but yet so far.
Jetemia Reznikek - June 1, 2008 05:39 AM (GMT)
And so there it was, a new direction in which to go. It was as if the forest was willing him to go in the direction. Off due west the mist had parted allowing sunlight to filter through and warm the elemental. Until then he was immersed in a damp pervasive cold that came from the forest. He turned his head to nod meaningfully at the fairy, I think its time for me to go, would you like to accompany me? Even if this was a strange course of action he couldn't help but follow his instincts, for whatever the reason it was it was in the opposite direction of the ominous sounds he heard earlier and intended on avoiding that place behind himself. So without an answer to his question he began to walk.
Hriky - June 1, 2008 02:00 PM (GMT)
The question came, it wasn't expected, but also not unexpected. It was a common question when your traveling. It would be good to have some company in this forest, this Misty Forest. He started to walk away going ahead. Midori flinched forward. Huh?he stammered before flying over after Kaika. W-wait up! he said catching up. He flew ahead a bit and sat on a few brenches waiting for him to catch up. He repeated this a small bit. One time he just stayed there and looked down at Kaika. So, where we headed? he said then flying a little nearer to the Time Element. Just out of the forest or further in? I'm just following you. he finished. Maybe he didn't know where he was going, maybe just in the first direction he saw. That made sense, plenty of sense in this forest fogged always.
