The rainforest echoed with the noises of hundreds of animals. The forest floor was covered with insects and was damp underfoot. Eldroth could see the tiger just ahead of him, cleaning itself in a small clearing. His eyes narrowed as he watched the great beast. It could perhaps be possible to kill it in a single strike if he pierced the right area. His sword was strapped to his back in its sheath, and the hilt was just in his eyeline. A tiger pelt would be a fine prize, and he intended to return home victorious. Letting loose a wild battle cry, he charged forward, drawing his sword from its sheath. The action took less than two seconds, but he knew the hard bit was yet to come.
The tiger looked almost contemptuous. But the truth was that Eldroth was deadly with his blade, and he sharpened it every second day. Lunging at the beast, he aimed for its heart. But the tiger was much too agile and dodged his sword effortlessly. Turning to face him, he saw its teeth; even from two metres away the teeth looked huge. "Bugger," Eldroth muttered under his breath. He turned and fled, his feet pounding the earth, splattering his legs with mud. Unfurling his wings, Eldroth took to the skies and watched the tiger try to reach him. "Hmmph," he said, "Not so tough now, eh?" He flew off to an area far away and landed. He was determined to get his prize, but for now it was time to set up camp for the night.

Arthur was in the forest as well he was studying the forest. He was studying it because he had been here alot and he had never given a thought to learning anything about it. Now he decided was the time. Of course being raised in the woods Arthur was naturall yat home here. Still being half-dragon he felt the call of the mountains enough to feel at home their as well. It was odd though the thigns about him he had been raised as a dragon and a human all his life yet he still was finindg new thigns about both all the time.
Ofcourse it did not really matter but often thigns caught his curiosity when he thought on them long enough. However he dismissed the thought from his mind and concentated on the rainforest. THings were much diffrent here than any other forest. More life, more danger and other things. HE thought it odd for him to have never really taken notice. Then again when he had come here he had been to focused on other things.
He breathed in the air and sighed and noticed a slight hint of something familiar in the air. HE sniffed again and noticed a strangely draconic smell to it. It was not full dragon as it had a humanish smell to it as well. HE knew it to be a half-dragon but even he did not smell that human unless he was in human form. He decided for now that his human form would suit and he transformed. He looked in a pond to make sure not hint of his dragon was on his face. There started back the handsome raptor liek gaze of a man in his early twenties blue eyes and goldish brown hair.
He smiled and went in the direction of the scent and soon foudn what he had smelled. It was indeed of a half-dragon btu unlike him his dragon stayed in human form. HE shrugged some preferred it that way Arthru didn't but it did not matter. HE saw that dragon was hutning what looked to be a tiger. He watchted him at his work and shook his head when the he fled. Obviously the man was inexperience and even if he was he should not have fled. HE looekd at the tiger and and it lloked at him but it backed away at his site.
HE then went off in the direction of the half-dragon and soon found him setting up camp. He said," You know I have never seen a half-dragon run from a fight, if any other dragons had been near you would not have heard the end of it and they would have called you coward".

Eldroth turned, smelling him before he saw him. "And what is it to you," he asked suspiciously. "I will attack once again soon. I was unfortunately clumsy. If I had fought, I would have truthfully died." Staring at his brother half dragon, it was obvious he knew what he was talking about.
"Please join me," Eldroth said. Staring at him, a few details hit him immediately. The man had several prominent battle scars; he was obviously not a rookie and not someone to be messed about with. Concentrating, he transformed into his dragon form, and proceeded with his daily goings. He noticed, quite vainly, that his scales were glimmering, and he hoped that this looked fairly impressive.
"The Taurerosa Rainforest is not a place for a quiet walk. What are you doing here, friend?"
(I've found some background on half-dragons take a look....)

Arthur smiled as he listened and said," Nothing really its just that you would have won if you had stayed, you would not have died of that I am sure, it was no match for you, no matter what your form, you would have been hurt, but you would not die". He shrugged and came forward at the dragons request and unbuckled his sword and sat down. HE sat down and said," Its just that you should Cut. Once Commited to fight cut. Everything else is secondary. Cut. That is your duty, your purpose, your hunger. There is no rule more important, no commitment that overrides that one. Cut". He paused letting it sink in before continuing.
He siad," Cut from the void, not from bewilderment. Cut the enemy as quickly and directly as possible. Cut with certainty. Cut deciesively, resolotely. Cut into his strength. Flow through the gaps in his guard. Cut him. Cut him down utterly. Don't allow him a breath. Crush him. Cut him without mercy to the depths of his spirit" He paused again and made the final point," It is the balance to life: death. It is the dance with death. It is the law a dragon lives by or he dies".
The dragon then transformed to his true state and Arthur observed him it was strong and subtle and young as was he but it lacked the experience. HE smield at the dragons question and said," I have my reasons, I have been through here alot in my travels, I finally decided that maybe I should try and learn somethign about this place".

Eldroth snorted. "Traditions," he said, "Is not the way you win a battle, or indeed anything. It is about commitment and survival. This rainforest is full of dangers. I know I could have defeated the tiger. But what about the hordes of blood-thirsty creatures? Surely you must realise that it was a win-lose situation. But then again, perhaps you are right." He paused for a moment. "Being a dragon is about winning. It is the only way we avoid darkness and extermination. But staying there would have been my death one way or another. No-one, not even you o-mighty brother. I survive. I win one way or another. That is the way to true domination in a fight." Studying the dragon, he wondered whether he was actually as tough as he believed he was. "Do you truly believe that you could win under those circumstances?"

Arthur smiled as he listened to the dragon, he was right at some points wrong at others. Arthur had survived tougher engagments than that. There had been times when he been completly out numbered and almost totally lost for strength but he had come otu victorious throguh sheer perseverance and skill. THough he knew well enough not to get into to those kinds of situations.
HE said," Belive that I could that is the question, there is a fine definition between believing I could and doing it, I have faced overwhelming numbers before at least 4 times in my life, I escaped but merely by skill and perseverance, once was luck though, though you are right it is wise to stay out of those situations, it can be death if your not carefull enough".
He sighed and said," If it had been me, yes I would have stayed, if any more came I would have welcomed the challange, but it would not have been wise". He sighed again and said," I have only seen 25 years, and for one such as I, I am still far to reckless, the reason I don't fear death, I welcome it like a brother or lost lover, I embrace it".
He paused and then said," It is a hard life, I lead, I would not suggest anyone follow the same path, but yes I do I belive I could have survived against those kind of odds, I have had worse".
