Title: Control Plants

Hriky - April 4, 2008 07:36 PM (GMT)
Well what is the limit on the power of Control Plants?

Like can it only do what plants can only handle in their flexibility?

Would it be able to twist the truck of a tree or whatnot.

Can it increase the length of like a vine when used.(I doubt)

Can someone tell me what it can and can't do please?

Thanks in advance.

Some more questions,

Polymorph self, it says it lasts for two hours but can you take it off at will?

Also when your turn into another race, do you gain the abilities of the race as well? Like a Dragon and their breathe weapon or like a Lizarian's strength?

Plants question; Anything within reason. I assume the plant has to be there already, and it can't be drastically unusual. A tree doing a headstand, for instance, would be peculiar. Encouraging plants to bloom and whatnot, I assume, would be allowed. Making vines grow longer could be possible, I'm not sure. On one hand you're stimulating growth, which would make sense, but on the other it could get out of hand. Sorry I couldn't be more of a help on these questions. :(

Polymorph questions; Yes, you can turn it off at will. As fr racial abilities; nothing beyond physical capabilities. So you wouldn't gain the breath of a dragon, but you would gain the brute force of a rhino. The polymorph question regarding racial talents has been asked a few times.

But isnt the dragon breath part of their physical ability. It is just there breath after all. Like if you polymorphed into an elf you would have the ears and eyes of an elf so you would be able to see and hear better than humans. If you turned into a dragon wouldn't you have their breath?

Also for your control plants question: I used to play a dryad and when I used control plants I played it as making flower bloom, trees lifting their branches to clear path or block enemies, vines tangling/tripping enemies, and stimulating the growth of fruits. Dryads are far more in tune with nature than most races though so my best advice is to play it to your characters level. If they are just the average city slicker, dont give them as much control as say an ent/elf/nymph/druid/ranger would have.

Hriky, please don't double post. If you have more questions to add in, edit your first post. Thanks!

I have no idea what this question means, it's utterly vague. XD

These would be a no. It basically allows you to control the movement of nearby plants. You cannot alter their physical forms or make them bend in ways they couldn't naturally move (so no moving trees).

Yes.

You only gain the raw physical qualities. Eg. a lizarian has tough skin, is tall, and a lot stronger than a normal human. You cannot take on any magical properties, such as a dragon's breath weapon.
