Airen Scandia - March 28, 2008 05:11 AM (GMT)
The crowd roared, the judge sounded, finally after all his wait, the battle had begun. Airen drew the katana from the sheathe, clenching it tightly at his side. The opponent was drawing nearer, running at a pace that even Airen couldn't beat.
"An Elf." He thought, placing his front foot forward and readying himself for attack. His opposition was indeed an Elf, very tall and graceful creatures, yet swift and dangerous on the battlefield. The Elf was wearing plain chainmail armour, wielding an elven blade with a bow and quiver on his back. This would be fun.
Airen darted forward, swinging openly at the Elf, barely missing. Clang The 2 combatants parried for a moment, before Airen knocked the Elf back with a kick. The enemy quickly regained his footing, swinging wildly, which elves didn't do regularly. Airen stepped back a few times, before swinging his fist into the Elves head, sending him to the floor. "Haha, Pathetic little Elf." Airen mocked, ready to swing his blade and end the battle. But before he could do so, the Elf rolled backwards, lunged forwards and sliced down Airens arm, all in one swift action. Airen jerked back, nurturing the open wound. Blood poured out, sending out a darkening aroma. Airen dropped to his knees, voices screaming in his ears and his heart pounding fast.
A little girl and a teddy pounded in his thoughts, fire and ash also. A little girl screamed, and Airen was back with reality. Gripping tightly onto his blade he rose up, but something felt different; he seemed lighter, more stronger and faster then he had been. It had happened, he'd become the demon once again, the Demon Airis. Airis gained his footing, floating in mid-air. The crowd roared, yelling one word over and over again. Kill They wanted blood; and thats what he planned to give. Slashing one swift shot down the Elves head, the crowd fell silent. The elves blade dropped to the ground, making a light clunk sound against the sand. Airis screamed out, sending a shiver down the spine of everyone in the crowd. The next moment Airis dissapeared back inside the host, Airen was back to his normal self, nurturing his wound.
"Winner, Airen!!" The judge said, a roar followed.
Aduro Silex - March 28, 2008 05:56 AM (GMT)
(~I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to post like your back away from the arena~)
Aduro had been watching the battle through a grate from his temporary room. The battle was intriguing, how everything played out for the victor. It wasn't long before the one name "Airen" left the battlefield. This was Aduro's signal that it was his time to go into battle. He went around an opposite way from where the victor had gone. Eventually he made his way to a door where a man stopped him. "Mr. Silex, go through this door, the battle will start soon. There will be enough time for you to prepare." Aduro rolled his eyes and nodded before going through the door into a small waiting room. He picked up his claws and quickly set them aflame, "Enflamment!" The blades were quickly surrounded by fire. "Feu Manteau!" Soon, he was surrounded by a cloak of flame. He became nostalgia, before this form, he had been like this! Surrounded by flame as he hurtled to the planets!
It wasn't long before his access to the arena was granted. He walked out, the cheers of the people up and out of the arena roared in the air. Aduro looked for his enemy and saw a drow, a sickening sight. His enemy had better make up in speed what he obviousley lacked in strength. "Fighters at the ready!?" A voice echoes in the arena. Aduro shot his opponent a mailcious look. No reaction came from the drow. "Begin the Death Battle!" the announcer shouted, and on cue the drow charged Aduro with great speed, but it wasn't fast enough. The fire elemental took a battle stance. He threw his arm, mounted with the claws, forawrd at his enemy who quickly pulled a dagger out and parried the strike.
Aduro couldn't help but give a chuckle as he popped his neck, "Allright then, no child games!" He shouted before charging ihs enemy. The drow gave a chuckle and quickly repoistioned his body. Luckily Silex had the time to throw out his left arm and catch the night elf, burning it. The drow strugged to get free but Aduro locked his arm around the it and struggled to keep it still, long enough for him to sink the claws into it. As he brought his claws around to strike it, the drow escaped and knocked the fire elemental away by kicking him in the face.
Aduro wiped a bit of blood from the cornor of his mouth and stood up straight. He rubbed the back of his neck a bit and the drow took the oppertunity to strike. Now the fire elemental was just pissed, and he brought his right leg up into the air, and swung it back down. The drow had seen this attack and ducked low so as to throw it's opponent over, but the foot crashed into it's head, knocking it unconcious.
Now the crowd was screaming, "Kill it! Kill It!" The malicious grin came back onto Aduro face, the opponent was too easy! He brought his claws into the air and stabbed the drow's head. "Winner, Aduro Silex!" the announcer shouted. Aduro just walked from the arena and made his way back to his room to sit down. When he did he felt a prick at his back and pulled out a needle. Damnit, the drow had poisoned him! He rushed from his room and drastically tried to increase his body temperature, but no such luck. He continued forward and collapsed in an empty hallway. Damnit! He couldn't die like this! Not in this forsaken body!
Airen Scandia - March 28, 2008 07:05 AM (GMT)
Airen walked back into the Arena's gates, once again taking a look at the crowd, see'ing many unfamiliar faces among them. Stretching his fingers outwards he heard a crack and the sound of a whip. It was time to fight Minotaurs. Loud roars came out from the cage across the battlefield, moans of anger and pain; then silence echo'ed over the arena again. Airen took another look up at the crowd, then jerked his head upwards towards the "High Box" as it was called. There stood many high-authority figures, Airen could of sworn he'd seen the Ambassador of Arda himself. Another crack sounded; signifying that the slaughtering had begun. Airen didn't hesitate to draw his blade, sending it down and resting it on his hip.
The minotaurs charged towards the man, their heads bent; horns aimed right at him. There were about a dozen of them, each bigger and faster then the last. Airen sighed, He didn't enjoy killing things which gave no good fight, but alas, he had to. Airen's gripped tightened on his hilt, his stance turning into one of battle and ease. The minotaurs were closing in on him; but he had the perfect tactics for this situation. Bending down to one knee, he gripped onto some of the sand and held it in his hand, the minotaurs closing in further. Now was the time; flicking his body up in one motion he threw the sand, spraying up in the first minotaurs eyes.
Airen sliced his sword down the beasts arms; severing it from the body and sending the minotaur into a frenzy of pain. The beast threw itself backwards and forwards, spraying blood over Airen as it did so. Airen wanted to end the beast, and its pain; drawing his sword over his head he struck down, lodging the fine steel into the beasts right shoulder. Another moan was heard, but that was all. Airen readied himself for the next three which were charging for him, placing his blade out infront of him, smirking. The first minotaur suffered the worst fate; Airen struck his blade through its right horn, completely slicing it off. Airen swung his left foot outwards, slamming his boot into the beasts chest. Knocked on the ground, Airen finished the minotaur off with a swift blow to the heart.
Another one charged forward, met by a blade through the neck. Airen kicked the beast off, running forward to charge the next minotaur he could find. He would win this battle and collect his prize money, he would..
Aduro Silex - March 28, 2008 07:49 AM (GMT)
Aduro regained conciousness, but his body was freezing. He panted as he stood up and slammed himself into the wall. It was so cold, colder than the endless vaccum of space. He stumbled aorund down the hallway, falling into the walls several times. "Feu Manteau!" He shouted, and his body became encased in flame, but this did not help. His body was still freezing! The damnable drow was going to win the battle after all! But Aduro would not die! not this day! He rushed down the hallway until he reached an open room that he stumbled in. This was the medical room, suprisingly run by an ogre, sadly one that looked familiar. Aduro had beaten this ogre in a bar brawl at the Wilwarin, and the ogre was obviousley going to be short-tempered with the elemental.
"Well, well! What do we have here!? A sickening sight of a sickened bastard!?" the ogre bellowed as he picked up Aduro by the collar of his shirt. "Damnit." Aduro said in a strained voice. His Cloak of Flames had already dissipated, he was a the mercy of the ogre. "If you plan on watching me die, than at least do it by your own hands!" Aduro spat at the ogre. "Oh, you think I'd do that? No... I'm going to watch you be torn apart! How about by minotaurs?" The ogre bellowed again before putting Aduro beneath his arm. "Damn ogre!" Aduro shouted as the ogre slammed his head into the stone wall. They proceeded down the hallway until they reached a door, it was the preperation room. The ogre opened the door, along with the proceeding one and threw Aduro out into the battle field.
Two of the minotaurs took notice of this easy target and charged at him. He struggled to get up, "Feu Manteau." He tried to activate his cloak of flame but nothing happened. "Feu Manteau!" He still couldn't cast it! The minotaurs neared and he took his claws from his side and managed to thrust his arm up at the last minute to impale one of the two, it fell but the other grabbed Aduro by the neck and slung him across the field. Dirt spewed into the air and he struggled to get up, but that minotaur came back and picked Aduro up again before throwing him to the ground.
As the elemental neared death, it began to get colder. He struggled to his feet, using the last bit of his strength to stand and put his claws in front of him. He was doubtful that he would be able to kill the minotaur, but he wasn't going to go without a fight. Rage built up, adrenaline pushed through his veins and gave him just a bit more strength, the minotaur charged at him, and he charged as well. He was probably going to die, but not without taking something with him! He thrust the claws into the neck of the minotaur.
In unison the two corpses fell to the ground. The world darkned as it further grew colder. Blood came from Aduro's mouth, nose and both ears. Blood began to make a little pool next to his face. He couldn't go out like this! He wasn't going to die like this! He couldn't! His breathing stopped, he refused to shut his eyes, but the world still grew darker. His eyes grew heavier and were forcibly closing. But he fought them, kept his eyes open. His body was twitching as the cold pain coursed through his being. That damned drow! He would kill it a million times over in the afterlife! Each of it's deaths would be more ruthless than the other! He fell unconcious, his heart still beat, his breath resumed yet at a shallow pace. Damnit, he couldn't die like this!
