Guess what?! It's back! And better then ever! So here's the lowdown. It's basically the same as the last time for those of you that remember, but the prizes will be given out differently, and will be much better this year. There will also be a few more suprises in the matches themselves. So here's the rules/etc:

•50 gold entrance fee per character (non-refundable) [transfered to Boreas Enteler]
•I am the judge
•The judge’s decisions is final.
•Fights will be done on a 1v1 (2v2 battles may be conducted only through special request)
•Each fight lasts 10 rounds (1 post per fighter= 1 round) or 2 weeks (real time) [whichever comes first]
•There is a 300 word minimum for all posts
•Winner takes all+ a purse that I will put up and reward.
•If there is a post that I really like, I may reward the poster.
•The tournament is single elimination
•All of the normal rules of Arda apply in the tournament.
•Spell use follows the same rules as in the war.
•No time affecting or instantaneous (uncounterable) magic. Supernova and other "uber-spells" are not allowed.
•No familiars. This is a tournament to see the best fighter. Not who has the strongest familiar.
•If you do not post within five days without letting me know beforehand, you forfeit.
•You cannot get new weapons, armor, spells, skills, etc. mid-battle.
•When joining the tournament, you must post in this topic with the information shown at the bottom of this post.
•When posting to join, include this formation:

•In the Sales Topic where you transfer entrance fee to Boreas Enteler, you must specifically state that it is for the Tournament.
•Before your battle, you must PM me the following information:

•The weapons, spells, and items that you will use in the upcoming battle will remain strictly confidential until the battle, but will be the only ones that you may use. They may be changed before and after each battle, but not during.

A couple questions regarding the tourney rules, while my internet is capable of it.

You said that the rules of spellcasting are the same as the War, but what about PrC abilities? Are we limited in any way with their use?

Also, this might not really benefit me but it could a lot of other people, what qualifies as an "uber-spell," beyond those that control time and Supernova? Some people say Silence is an "uber-spell," others Dispel or Foresight, but it seems like it could be something pretty debatable. Specifics would definitely be useful. XD

I concur, a list of spells specifically disallowed would be a good idea. :yes:

My revive spell should be ok just in case I accidently crack someones skull open with my staff ^_^; then they can choose their own form again or change their form and be totally different.

I believe that in the last tournament Supernova and Stop Time were the only spells that were specifically mentioned as being uber. But, Naf might wanna' add more to that.

Yeah those are the only two not allowed, just as last time. Supernova and Stop Time. Just for the reason they they would make such a 1v1 fight extremly onesides.

Also, PrC abilities are not limited.
