Title: A party to die for
Description: private for those we planned with

Elexis Sinclaire - March 24, 2008 03:54 AM (GMT)
Elexis walked down the street towards the address she was given. It was in the wealthier district of the city of Ondolond. She wouldn't even be going to this stupid party if it weren't for the lucrative contract that was given to her with the invitation. She didn't like social gathering like this, she was always worried that she would bump into someone that she knew from the past and she would be arrested or killed in revenge. She walked down the street casually, she was in her half demon form and her pale blue skin stood out against the lit street. Normally Elexis would be in her mortal form when she was in the city but she was making an exception, if someone felt uncomfortable that there was an apparent half demon with them they would just have to deal with it. She was wearing a long black dress instead of her usual leather armor, she didn't like going in unprotected, but she would have to make due, is she were to get that massive bonus that she was told about. The advance payment was enough to show her that this client meant business. She had her daggers in the long sleeves in her dress and they could be pulled out at any opportunity. her throwing knives were on her legs and she could look like she dropped something to pull one out. They were small enough to hide in her hands. She wasn't going in there completely unprepared.

She thought it was strange that the client wanted her to kill so many people at his party, but at least all the targets were going to be in one place, no traveling from city to city. She tripped due to the uncomfortable shoes that she wore, she hated this formal dress that someone had given her in a vain attempt to try and charm her. She didn't like her situation but she would have to make due, the large promised sum and the idea of free food and drink for the night appealed to her. Elexis finally reached the gates, she held out the invitation and the guards waved her through, it looked like there was quite a crowd, Elexis had her work cut out for her. She walked through the doors and hoped that no one would notice who she was...

Providence - March 24, 2008 05:13 AM (GMT)
This mail was sent to the wrong person.

And this was the perfect oppurtunity for some good old-fashioned arse-kicking.

The Lomedor Spec-Ops commander, Providence, was invited to kill some people. Now, there were three possibilities. One, this person was evil and wanted a good person to do something wrong. Two, the people at the party were all evil and this sender was a good sumeritan. Or three, everyone was bad-natured. Fun.

Providence put on his uniform, a simple but decorative white set of light armor consisting of masterwork textiles from various areas of Arda. He took his katana, and sheathed it on his waist sheathe.

"This is always the highlight of my day. Go to a party, commit some recon, shuffle out quietly, and get my squad to rain hell upon them, if necessary."

The skies were dark. The moon was a light in a dreary scene. It brought life to the gloomy sky filled to the brink of clouds, and other dreadful scenery. There were wilting trees, black clouds, and a full moon. This seemed like one of those stereotypical, 'Something Is Going To Get Me' moments. Providence despised it. He much preferred a nice, warm, sunny day with lush, green trees, and frolicking animals. Friendly peasants, and happy gods.

Ah yes, the gods. That reminded him.

Before leaving his house, he walked up to his miniature altar in his housing unit, went onto his knees, and let out a prayer to the Goddess of Life, Lothlomendil.

"Lothlomendil, healer of all, bless me with thy sacred fortune and luck for this night. I pray to uphold peace, to save lives, and to commit to life." He broke his prayer, finished.

Today was going to be a long night.

Providence head off to this mansion, smiling. Wonderful.

Amaterasu - March 24, 2008 05:57 AM (GMT)
Amaterasu stood in the shadows of an damp and dark ally, reading the invitation she'd received for the hundredth time since she'd got it. It wasn’t the invitation itself or the money that made her decide to show up. It was the thought of being locked in a mansion with so many naive humans who had no inkling that by morning they would no longer be among the living. Her fangs began to protrude, yearning to sink into the very soft and oh so warm flesh, and her cold hands itched to hold the mouth of her screaming and panicking victim until they finally lay still, accepting there fate. She shook her head, calming her racing thoughts, and with a swish of the restricting gown she'd tooken from the dead body of her breakfast earlier that very morning, she left the ally and began to walk towards the mansion. Her silver eyes darted back and forth, taking in every detail of her surroundings. It wasn’t like her to walk into any situation, no matter how safe it appeared, without first memorizing her surroundings. It wasn’t as if she personally knew her employer, but then again it wasn’t her style to want to be acquainted with her employers, there was no promise that this wasn’t a trap to somehow capture and kill her. She could name a dozen people who she knew would love to have a chance to kill her but she refused to be killed so easily after surviving for more then three century’s.

The closer she got to the looming mansion the thicker the crowd of people became. She breathed in deep the rich, earthy human smell that only vampires, werewolves, and other animal like creatures could appreciate. She let the smell envelope her being, entrancing her to the point that an actual smile lit of her face, stretching her rarly used face musles from lack of both talking and all facial expressions. She pushed her way threw the rest of the crowd until she reached the main gates. Without waiting to be waved threw she thrust her invitation into the chest of a random guard, and walked right threw, daring the guards with only a look to say anything.

Long Do - March 25, 2008 01:23 AM (GMT)
Long read and re-read the letter several times as he flew towards a large mansion. Shaking his head at the contract he groaned, only to stop in the air and cough from swallowing several bugs. Clearing his throat, Long looked forward and saw he was only a few seconds from the door of the mansion. Swerving his head back and forth, Long saw a large crowd of people standing near and entering the mansion.
"Agh! Crap I'm late!"

Walking into his landing, Long folded his large black wings behind his back and began to run into the mansion doors, his wings getting stuck in the doors and a few feather popped out. Stretching his back and cracking his neck, Long took a casual look around and saw an odd assortment of people in the room. Soldiers, demons, priests and all other sorts we mixed in with the group. Long couldn't see anyone near his age in the room and sat down in a corner feeling awkward. Pulling out the letter once again, he began to read it. The cash was a nice incentive, but what was the catch. From all of the legal mumbo jumbo, Long could only understand he had to be in this house for a night. As a woman in a dress sat next to him he looked up, noticing he was one of the few that weren't in armor. He looked up to the woman and spoke quietly,
"Excuse me...but what's going on?"
"What do you mean? This is just a party!"

Long's head began to hurt, trying to figure out the meaning of her words. He shook it and shrugged his shoulders, looking back at the woman with a confused look, pulling out his letter and reading it confused. The woman laughed, covering her mouth with a gloved hand and attracted attention to them. Long looked away, feeling uncomfortable with all the glares and odd looks. Finally, stopping, the woman pointed towards the letter Long was holding. After handing it over, Long watched her take a second letter from the pile and took it when she offered it back. Scanning over the letter Long began to feel a small chill in his back. What...what's this? I have to kill everyone?!"
"You should be careful of who you trust little boy."

Long looked back up and looked closer around the room, seeing small bulges in the clothing of several people. Excusing himself, Long hastily ran towards the where the bathroom was supposed to be. Turning into a room, Long ran down several hallways and stairs, finally stopping near a large empty room. He spread his wings and flapped several times, finally roosting on a large and thick wooden beam near the ceiling, Trying his best to hide himself, Long sighed and pulled out his katana, resting it on his stomach.
"I hope this'll last the night..."

OOC: I might have enough time for a few more rp posts.

Elexis Sinclaire - March 25, 2008 01:24 AM (GMT)
Elexis hated being among so many people, no only because of the likelihood that someone would notice her, or question her, or wonder about her strange skin color. But it was the emotions all around her, she was half succubus and could sense the emotions of those around her. She hated being in large crowed because she was only a half succubus and in large crowds sometimes she had trouble containing the senses and it would be extremely hard to concentrate. Her being in her half demon form helped ease the burden, if she was in her mortal form she would probably be having trouble keeping her balance. Elexis was walking among the crowded main hall, it was well lit with many people conversing about one topic or another, people gave her cautions glances, her spines and her skin usually made people uneasy, but she ignored it. It was getting harder and harder to concentrate, the person beside her was feeling uneasy about a man that she had a crush with, a man that she passed by was feeling lust for the woman he was sitting across from, some man was feeling joy due to the alcohol he had consumed, all of these tingled across her skin. But Elexis had a job, she would get familiar with the mansion, see what she had available to her, find hiding spots and see whose alone. She would wait till later tonight when the doors were locked and the mansion was darker as to give her movements more cover. For now she would get to know her targets, and find out what might have provoked the contractor to hire her to kill such a large number of people in the night.

Elexis had already had a plan worked out, converse with the people, get to know them a bit better and get familiar with them. She would go with a first alone first killed policy. Eventually the bodies would be found and a panic would be in the crowd, if all went well she would blend in with them. Continue to pick them off one by one until a small number is left. Then she would lead some of them to a isolated spot and kill a good portion of them. She would then pose as a dead corpse until she was though to have been dead. Then it would rely more on stealth and surprise until there is only one or two left. Then it would be easy for her to finish the job. Then she would wait for the night to end, probably take advantage of the free food and drink. She ran over the mission in her head, Elexis was going to stick to business tonight, even when she would be appearing to have fun and enjoying the party, it would only to east suspicion of her being the killer in their midst. Everything that she was going to do tonight was all part of her plan.

She got to a less crowded area the emotions of others were a lot less assaulting and she could think more clearly. Elexis decided that she would probably get a bite to eat, since once the work began there would be little time to eat. She picked up a small glass of wine, it was barely full, but that was fine she needed to stay on her toes. She found a seat at an empty table and took a seat, observing the crowd, remembering who had the most to drink as they would be prime targets for either the first or the last. She felt someone enter the main ball room and a spike of pleasure hammered into her and she winced a bit and chocked slightly on her wine. She looked to the source to see a slender woman, human by the looks of it, with extremely long black hair, and strange silver eyes, but Elexis'es were gray almost black so she paid it little mind. But she had a strange dark aura to her emotions, but for some reason the sight of the crowd made her happy, a but too happy, something was odd. She would watch this one carefully, something made the hairs on the back of her head raise. She would choose her as a priority, something about her seemed different, and different posed a threat to the mission. But for now she decided to relax, and hope that she doesn't get noticed...

Providence - March 25, 2008 04:58 AM (GMT)
Made it! Finally!

Providence managed himself through the front doors. The place was bustling with such an enormous amount of people. He managed to use some esponiage to act as a VIP into the place. People bowed to him with formal greetings, and Providence enjoyed that. He continued acting as such, and walked in with an escort.

When he got into the mansion, it was lovely. A gigantic chandelier, a high ceiling, and many known 'famous' people of Arda. This was strange.

The scent of beautiful corsage heightened the senses of him. A beautiful woman walking to Providence only made it better.

"Hello." she said simply.

"Greetings." Providence replied. Simply.

"You enjoying the party?" she asked quaintly.

"I... suppose." Providence replied once again.

"Doesn't sound like it."

"Just a little nervous, miss."

"Aw, don't be. I'm here."

"I see that."

The woman looked perplexed. To Providence's guess, he could assume that the woman's seductive attitude was failing.

"Well, I just thought I'd be nice!" she retorted.

"I haven't said anything wrong, have I?" Providence replied, smiling.

"... oh hush!"

"No point."

"Grr!" She stormed off. Her ploy failed. Providence smirked and pulled out a notepad that said: SUCCUBI TURNED AWAY: 56.

He continued leaning against the wall, and he looked at one woman. Say, she looked familiar...

Providence's normally happy attitude turned grim, and he began to walk fast towards the woman. He shoved through crowds, and made sure his katana was ready. He may have to kick some arse tonight.

Ikoru Yami - March 25, 2008 12:12 PM (GMT)
"So, how do I look?" Iko inquired, looking at himself in the mirror.
He had to admit, the tuxedo didn't suit him, however he had chosen one that shone violet when the light caught it so as to match his hair and eyes, it was just something he was a little obsessed with.
"It suits you fine," the attendant lied.
"Well, I guess it'll do." Iko sighed, dropping a few coins into the attendant's hands.
He walked out of the shop, feeling a little silly but nevertheless, it was necessary. Now he just had to work out who in their right minds would hire him to kill someone.

He took the letter out of his pocket and read through it again. One one side it was a perfectly normal invite for a party, nothing suspicious there, however the reverse told a different tale, instructing him to murder the rest of the party guests. That and looking at the people milling about the entrance as he approached, they didn't seem like ordinary guests. Something was going on here. Iko paused a little way from the entrance to the party and closed his eyes, letting his mind reach out and touch those of the people milling outside.
This is ins...
...on't have all d....
Let me in damnit!
Calm, keep calm.
I've been too bored lately....
should be fun

Iko opened his eyes again, frowning. There were so many thoughts floating about that he couldn't hear them all too clearly. He scratched his chin.
"Guess the only way to find out is to get in closer," he muttered, moving into the throng.
He managed to blend in with the rest of the crowd entering the house and was eventually admitted inside himself. He looked about for a few moments, the place appeared to be a perfectly ordinary party. However he could hear several nervous thoughts but still couldn't translate them all.
Why are they all so nervous, he thought Agh, there are too many people here. I can't hear a thing.

He managed to break away from the main mass of people and wandered about on his own for a bit, still scanning the thoughts of others.
"I hope this'll last the night..."
"Huh?" Iko looked about, but couldn't see who had thought that. They must be behind a wall or something.
"Interesting," he muttered.

Long Do - March 25, 2008 02:53 PM (GMT)
Long opened his eyes quickly and glanced around the room, tensing his katana. Resisting the urge to stretch and crack some of his bones, sighing and tapping the katana against his knee. A few seconds passed before Long leaned up and got into a sitting position on the beam. "This is so uncomfortable..."

Rubbing his numb wings and trying to get some feeling into them, Long jumped off the beam, giving his wings a flap and slowed his descent. Looking back up to where he was hiding, Long noticed that it was in fact an obvious hiding spot, his wings would have been showing completely. Damnit, I'm such an idiot...

Long noticed a large covered object near the door and walked over to investigate it. Grabbing the cloth, he held his left hand on the hilt of his sword. "I've had too many bad experiences with these cursed things...I'm starting to get paranoid." Quickly pulling the cloth tarp off, Long held the katana in front of him. The mirror reflected Long's image clearly despite the room's dark lighting. Sheathing his katana and looking into the mirror, Long could see a young man, looking fearful and tense. A katana was in obvious sight and ready for use. Long leaned down and grabbed the cloth, brushing off the dust and cleaning his face with it, the cloth rubbing smoothly against his skin. Looking around again, Long folded the cloth is put it in his bag. Then, adjusting the katana, Long looked at his reflection once again. Long had hidden it underneath his shirt, laying comfortably between his wings. He headed out of the room and back towards the main room, walking briskly. As he walked, Long almost ran into a man wearing a fine suit, only stopping an inch away from ruining it. He stood back up and nodded his head, "Ah! Sorry about that!" Embarrassed, Long edged around the man and towards the main room in case the man wanted to lecture him.

Entering the main room, Long grabbed some food and a glass of water. He looked around again and saw many people taking the same glances around the room as him. An attractive woman stood next to Long and as he began to walk to a seat he heard her speak. "Oh? What's such a young boy doing here? I was sure this meeting was for adults, we've already kicked out many of the other children."

Something in her voice made Long's skin crawl and yet sweat at the same time. Long took a sip of water before turning around and looking at the woman. He kept a plain, uninterested face and spoke simply to her. "I'm not your average child, I don't think many will mind me staying here." The woman grinned at Long and a smell tickled his nose, causing him to turn away and cough before heading to his seat. The woman had followed him, and the smell became more potent as she sat next to him. "You must be special if you're here...you know, I like special things." Long found it hard to look plain after a wink, turning his head down to the floor, Long noticed a small bulge on her hip. Taking small glances, he determined a small curved blade. Looking up once again, Long glared at the woman, "Pass."

Indignant, the woman stormed away and Long felt the effects fade with her. Wiping his neck with the sleeve of his shirt, Long sighed. "A succubus huh? What's going on here..." Shaking his head, Long got back up and got more food and water. Slowing devouring plates and the water supply, Long thought carefully. Observing each person, he could see some kind of arms ready. If that woman had the black note as well...then could the succubus have had it? Then...this is some sort of twisted bounty hunting! Then, how many of these people could have the black note as well?! I have a bad feeling...

Calming himself down, Long looked carefully around the room. I'll see if I can find an ally...maybe a weak target.

Elexis Sinclaire - March 25, 2008 11:05 PM (GMT)
Elexis immediately sat up and choked worse than before on her wine. She noticed the person that had just entered the ball room, it was Providence, the elite guard that finally brought her to justice. She had noticed the uniform at first, when she had seen it it was night, the uniform was rain soaked and covered in mud and blood, both hers and his. He would have finished her off but luckily for her his orders were to bring her in if possible. Elexis'es mind races as he watched him converse with a woman obviously trying to seduce him, "oh crap, oh crap, OH CRAP. This is probably a raid, there was probably a battalion of other elite guards waiting for his signal then they would storm the place and it would all be over. Somehow the information of her job was leaked. Or maybe the client sent her this job offer as a trap." Something just didn't seem right, she started to concentrate on Providence, and started to feel his emotions tingle against her skin, she couldn't feel the tension, and suspicion that would normally accompany him if he was here to bring her in. The realization became obvious to her, Providence was here on some mission, he wasn't here just for her, and he would be locked in the mansion as well, that meant that he was a target, and a priority one in her eyes. She smiled at the thought of getting her long awaited revenge. She started to calm herself down, she can't get too exited or risk being caught or being too eager to kill Providence and miss other target's of opportunity.

Someone passed by her, and she could feel a lot of nervousness bleed off of him. He was a half angel by the look of it, full angels had a stranger after-feeling to their emotions. He had his wings retracted but they were large and barged a few of the party goers aside. Elexis'es eye caught someone with deep purple hair, she passed over him. And looked to where providence was. He looked to where she was and his face turned from calm to grim. He started to walk towards him, his hand was close to the haft of his katana. He was heading towards her, he tried to remain casual, but to someone who knew what he did, it was too obvious. Elexis didn't look guilty, hell she didn't even look armed unless someone was to do a detailed search, but that would look a bit awkward at a party. Elexis breathed a sigh of fustration, "this is going to to be bad..." she muttered to herself as Providence was getting close...
