Happy Easter, everyone!

That's right, today is Easter! Or in Arda, today is the celebration of Ehtele'mele, vernal equinox, which is observed via the springtime festival that will soon have an IC topic started by the DM. Participants in the spring festival RP have a high likelihood of having the DM reward them with small Easter prizes, so be sure to check it out once it's posted! :o

Easter Egg Hunt

In light of this holiday I have also put together a magic egg hunt! :w00t:

I have hidden 15 magic eggs around the board! The magic eggs look like this: I have hidden them in different pages of recently active topics (active within approximately the last month) and places that may be old but that still should be looked at frequently (example: the rules, pinned topics). Some of them are VERY cleverly hidden! Each egg will grant you a special prize! Read on for more info.

Every post that has an egg hidden in it will have the "edited by" legend at the bottom saying that I edited it and at what time to authenticate the egg. But don't think this limits egg locations to only posts. If an egg is hidden in a post you made, DO NOT MESS WITH THE POST, or you will not get any prizes. This applies to moderators and other admins, do not alter the posts in any form! I am the only one that knows where they are all hidden, so everyone is free to participate in the search.

There are 3 eggs already posted on the board that do not count for the hunt. That would be the egg in this post, the one in last year's hunt announcement, and the one here from the year before last.

Guidelines for Reporting Found Eggs

Read this carefully!! The INSTANT you find an egg, you should PM me, Loth, with a LINK to where you found the egg! Please link to either the exact page, or even better, the exact post. Do not wait to PM me until you find several eggs, because there are limited amounts and you are awarded in a first come, first serve manner! Some of the eggs will only go to one person (the first to find it), others may be awarded to many people that find it. I will not be PMing you in return.

You will only be allowed to claim a maximum of 3 egg prizes! You will receive prizes for the first 3 eggs you send in, so long as they haven't had all their prizes claimed already (if they have been claimed, you get the prize from the next egg submission). This is to prevent one person from coming early and finding all the good stuff and leaving everyone else with nothing. This includes all of your alternate accounts; if you PM with 3 eggs from one account and 3 from another, you do not get all 6. In fact, please try and PM me with the same account every time, to make sorting the prizes much easier on me.

BUT! Do not stop PMing me once you find three! Someone may have already found the eggs you PM'd me with, so keep sending them as you find them to ensure that you get a prize!

At the end of the day I will sort out who found what first. I will then post a topic telling everyone what secret prize their magic egg had in it. There will be additional prizes for people that find all the eggs! The prizes are pretty sweet, so look hard, look everywhere, and don't help anyone else out until late in the day! You never know where I've hid one, I'm sneaky. :shifty:

Remember, do not post any information about egg locations!!

I recommend everyone log out then log back in anonymously to prevent people from stalking you in the online list and stealing your eggs! :o

Update!

Unfortunately, the egg hunt will be ending earlier than planned. I have come down with some kind of stomach virus or something, and I'm not feeling very well at all. >_< So I think I'm going to have it open for only another hour or two. Sorry to everyone that this inconveniences! :(

Now would be the time to start sharing (VIA PM!) with people that don't have many eggs yet, or that came in later than most. But don't just rush and give all zee secrets away! Try to be more of a guide than explicitly pointing things out, and remember that there is still a competition for most eggs found!
