Title: Water Melodies
Description: Open to anyone

Raewyn - March 20, 2008 11:38 PM (GMT)
Raewyn walked through the forest listening carefuly to the wind and sound. She could hear the sound of water trickling down and over smmoth rocks and through the wooded area. All she had was the sound guiding her but she knew the brook was ahead. Raewyn finally came out by a small brook running in small curves and dips in the forest. It was a perfect place to drink and relax.

Raewyn kneeled down on the soft earth and dipped her hand into the water gently and slowly bringing it up to her lips to drink the cool clear water. When she had her fill she saw a shade willow that was perfect for hiding her for veiw of any animals and for a good rest.

Placing her hands on the tree she gracefully and quickly. She sat down on one of the strong limbs and rested her back against the trunk of the tree. Closing her eyes she listened to the water trcikle and swish. An old elven melody that she hadn't heard in year sprung to her mind as she began to sing the word softly and bueatifully as the rolled off her lips

Kenith - March 21, 2008 12:49 AM (GMT)
Kenith slinked through the plant life, scratching occasionally at a rash that had developed on his forearm. He shuddered and glared at his arm, this is the last time he would go wandering through a forest without sleeves. He grumbled and stepped over some thick roots.

Kenith was clearly not used to forests of this sort; in fact, the only one he really ever visited was the misty forest. This might be the case perhaps only because it was easy to hide from vampire hunters. He sighed and swatted away some insects that buzzed a little too close for comfort. Kenith would be happy once he found his way out of this place.

The half-vampire eventually came out into a small opening, revealing a brook. Kenith looked at the water, not sure whether to trust it or not. So far, this forest has not been overly kind to the curious mage. There also happened to be a bit of singing, Kenith looked around curiously for hte source of the sound.

Langv - March 21, 2008 12:54 AM (GMT)
Langv prowled through the forest, a wolf figure in the shadows. Why she wanted to be surrounded by trees, she had no clue. It was a mere urge that would be blotted out in any moment. The moment came fast. She leaped and spun into a red cardnial, her form of a bird, flying skyward until she reached a twig of a branch. The wisp of magic that clung to her when she transformed heightened her smelling senses, making her unconfortable. Maroon wings fluttered up and down as she tried to get rid of her overlapping wolf-senses. The effect finally resided and the forest returned to normal. The birds chattered, the brook bubbled, the wind sung its song.

Langv the bird closed her eyes to take in the beauty of the sounds. In the faintest of the cacophny was the whisper of an elven tune. The cardnial hopped down from her branch and onto the forest floor, where she transformed herself back into a human. She stood up, trying to get her madly flapping arms to settle down, and walked towards the source of the singing.

It took her a few minutes to locate the source. A young looking elf sat in the shade of a drooping willow. A swift moment at her hip and she had her elven saber in hand. She entered the grassy area, her sword-hand behind her hip, trying not to frighten her badly.

Raewyn - March 21, 2008 12:57 AM (GMT)
Raewyn continued her singing and listened to her won words as they fell out in her own language. She barely even noticed the man as he came to the brook. She didn't notice him until it was too late for her words not to be noticed. She crouched close to the tree and noticed another person with an elven sword drawn. she looked as if she had noticed Raewyn but not the other man. This day wasn't going good for Raewyn at all...

Kenith - March 21, 2008 01:06 AM (GMT)
Kenith looked over his shoulder at the apparently-human woman. He watched her quietly for a while, not moving in the slightest. It seemed that he didn't even breath while watching. He was just like a statue.

Eventually Kenith broke this still stance and turned slightly to face this newcommer. He looked her up and down, still not saying anything. Kenith sniffed, and as a result: some pollen got into his nose, causing a chain reaction. Kenith winced slightly and sneezed. He shook his head in irritation at this result.

Mia - March 21, 2008 03:51 PM (GMT)
Mia was in search of herbs to use for her healing potion, looking for any signs of the herbs that she had been told to find. The forest was green and the light shown throught the canopy above. Mia noticed that there was a grove and a crick nearby. She walked to the crick and reached down and brought her hand up like a cup to drink the sweet liquid. She lifted her head and noticed that there was a few others that happened to stumble upon the crick.

Mia stood up and took her staff and had at her side in case she had to resort to violence. Being the young one out of the group of people in the clearing made her the vulnerable, but if they were hostile she would give a good fight with magic and the old bonk to the head.

Langv - March 21, 2008 09:38 PM (GMT)
"I don't mean to hurt you," she said in her softest tone to the elf. She stood up and out of her crouch, sliding the sword's naked blade into a loop in the makeshift rope-belt. A sneeze came from behind her. For the first time, she noticed a young man, about 20 she guessed, standing by. He was fair in height, neither tall nor short, with the most unusual colored eyes. Behind the man was another girl, a little older than 10 she guessed again, with eye-catching white hair. The young girl held a large staff in her hand which made Langv think she was some type of magic user. Langv turned back to the girl.

"I heard the drift of your melody. It is very pretty. You might want to consider singing it, for you have guest."

She turned back to the two 'children'. "What happens to bring you out here?"

Mia - March 21, 2008 09:54 PM (GMT)
Mia retaliated as the women spoke with the sword spoke to her. Mmh... Why am I out here? I.. I was... searching for herbs and I... came acros.. acrost this beutiful stream. Mia just looked into the girls eyes and waited for a reply from the woman.

Raewyn - March 21, 2008 11:16 PM (GMT)
Raewyn nodded at the woman with the sword. "Thank you... I don't normally sing for people but I thought I was alone." Raewyn turned and jumped down from the tree she was in keeping her hand on the hilt of her sword. She turned to the man and the little girl that had stumbled also upon the creek.

"It seems like this is just a popular place." She murmured. She watched as the woman spoke to the other two and the child seemed quite timid.

Kenith - March 24, 2008 11:01 PM (GMT)
Kenith rubbed his nose absentmindedly. He turned again to face the small gathering. The dhamphir didn't really know how so many people had managed to stumble upon the same location, he guessed it might be the source of water. And yet, why did they all end up in this opening? He rubbed his chin thoughtfully before looking back to the few. "A rather fine song ma'am." He nodded in gratitude, then glanced over to Mia and nodded again.

Mia - March 25, 2008 01:31 AM (GMT)
Good evening Kenith, nice to see you again. Mia smiled; her cheeks full of blush. That was a very beutiful song miss, would you mind singing it for us once again. Mia walked and sat down in front of the beutiful elven woman and smiled warmly.

BrutalScribe - March 27, 2008 05:51 PM (GMT)
Terion had been present for the entire meeting of the four. He sat on a mossy rock overlooking the stream where the song of one young lady had drawn him. Bloodshed and the hunt had wearied him beyond even his stony resolve. Here was a place to find true serenity. He nodded as one of the travellers noticed him but only smiled slightly and continued to fiddle with a springy green branch he had found. He stood slowly and swaggered to the edge of the water making no discernable sound. Such was his way. He knelt and washed the smudges from his face with a spritz of the cool water that refracted distant sunlight. With a little drink washing the dust from his throat he looked up at the concert in production and smiled(though it was rather mischievous and not entirely wholesome).

"Does this place normally see such an abudance of good people near it's banks? I have wandered these woods many times and such has not been my expirience. A warming tune it is indeed that I hear. Do not stop on my account though a grim person I may be at some times..."

He studied all those who were assembled his eyes straying over the young girl who was 'gathering herbs'. He wonders what potions she might be making. Herb-lore was one of his own hobbies.

Langv - March 29, 2008 03:28 PM (GMT)
She nodded at the girl's response. It would be very likely to just wander upon the area. The boy, on the other hand, did not reply and Langv did not except a reply either. She stepped back into the shade of a nearby tree, watching with an intense gaze at the people around her. The young girl with the staff eagerly greeted the pale man. Everyone encouraged the elf to continue her beautiful melody. A newcomer, lean, pale, and elf-like, appeared in her sight. Langv caught a whiff of his breath with her permanent wolf-like nose before. Seeing where this would be going, she thought she would be off best to keep out of the conversation. With a slight nod, she disappeared from the brook site, where she skipped-hopped into a hawk. Not caring if someone called her back, she began her flight back to Lomedor.
