Title: Iron Pen and a Sheet of Parchment
Description: :P: Mia and Kenith :P:
Mia - March 20, 2008 10:09 PM (GMT)
Mia sat at a table towards the back of the Parmamar Library writing on a piece of parchment, taking notes on herbs so she could be able to heal without the strain of using her magic. Using magic tired Mia to the point where she would loose consciousness, but also made her stronger every time she casted a spell. She knew that if she practiced at casting spells she would get better over time, but time is precious and she wanted to know the secrets of alchemy.
Mia dipped the iron pen that was in her hand into the ink bottle on the table. She was thinking about how wonderful it would feel to be able to help those in need, but also thought about the time it would take to become just slightly good at alchemy. Alchemy took time and patience and knowledge which she had, but was not enough. She wanted to become the best, she wanted to learn everything.
She began writing again on the piece of parchment in front of her. She was writing about the herbs that were required to brew a simple potion that would heal the wound over time. The book had stated that she would need three ingredients; Wormweed, cottontail and redrose heather. She recognised the images that appeared in the book, she had seen them just outside the gates of Lomedor.
Mia stood up and brushed her robe down then walked off to the front of the library and gave the book back to the librarian. Here is your book ma'am... Mia quickly turned away and ran out the door. When she burst out the other side she fell to the ground. Oww... Mia looked up as she saw someone reach out their hand. Are you ok miss.
Kenith - March 21, 2008 03:18 AM (GMT)
Kenith had been on a regular trip to Lomedor when he decided to stop by at the library to get some books. He had finished the one he had stuffed within the innards of his cloak, surrounded by some other odds and ends. The people at the library knew that lending a book off to Kenith meant that they wouldn't see it for a long time. Yet, remarkably, it always would come back in perfect condition. Sometimes, it would even seem better than when it had left. It was because of this little serivce, that the staff didn't mind his lengthy withdrawls.
Little did Kenith know that he would happen to run into a little girl on his way there. He looked down at her, an odd feeling overcomming him. He ruled out attraction, perhaps...parential feelings? Kenith was baffled at this, surely she could not be too much younger than him, yet she was so small. Kenith shivered, not sure what exactly he was doing. He nervously stuck out his hand and offered it to her.

F... fi.. fine tha... thank you. She looked into the mans eyes and noticed that his eyes were a beutiful brownish red. The man was not much shorter than Mia was but looked to be a few years older.
The man was wearing a dark cloak and appeared to be holding a book. You read books too, arent they wonderful... umhh. Mia blushed before she knew it cheeks had turned a rosy red which made her look even more like a little angel. I'm sor... sorry. My nam... name is Mia. I hope I didn't startle you, you look a bit pale. Mia reached out to touch the mans shoulder.
Kenith - March 21, 2008 03:39 AM (GMT)
Kenith looked, with a passive expression on his face, down at Mia. He blinked a few times, curious as to how this little girl acted. "Yes, I read books. Very helpfull in certaint... studies." Kenith tilted his head slightly, and his gaze followed the approach of her hand. He shifted slightly, showing his unease, and nodded, "No, you didn't Mia." He managed a smile and returned his hands to his pockets.

Mia pulled her hand back in acknowledgment. She understood that to him a tiny twelve year old girl would be uncomfortable being around for very long. I love to read books, they can teach us so many things that we have never even known about. I was just reading a book on healing, I was going to collect some herbs just outside Lomedor. She gave a brief smile then turned towards the fountain that spewed with the clearest of clean water she had ever seen.
Do you read to learn about healing so you can help people. She turned and looked into the mans eyes. His eyes were very attractive to Mia, she thought they looked like roses in a garden. Would you like to help me collect herbs, I would really appreciate it.
Kenith - March 21, 2008 08:38 PM (GMT)
Kenith rubbed his chin thoughtfully. He grew a faint bit pale as she asked how he helped people. "You could say that I uh... spread life where there is none." He double checked himself over what he said just to be sure it was right. Kenith smiled, "Well I have little else to do today, so I don't see why I couldn't join you. I just need to return this book real quick, alright?"
Mia - March 21, 2008 09:17 PM (GMT)
Mia looked at the man and smiled. Thank you, I am really glad you are coming with me. Mia's face turned to a questioning look. I dont believe you told me your name. She smiled and giggled beneath a her lips in amusement.
Mia knew that it would be important if the to knew each other and since she had already introduced herself she would just have to wait for the man to introduce himself to her.
Kenith - March 23, 2008 11:22 PM (GMT)
(Ahh, icky short post!)
Kenith paused, "I suppose you are right." He leaned over a little bit and grinned, showing his fangs without realizing it. "My name is Kenith, a pleasure to meet you." He straightend back up again, and turned his gaze to the city gates. "Shall we get going?" He glanced back down to her with a curious look to his face.
Mia - March 23, 2008 11:36 PM (GMT)
Mia stared at Kenith's teeth as he leaned over, they appeared to be sharp like a vampires; was Kenith a vampire. I suppose we should get going, first thing we need to do is find wormweed, cottontail and redrose heather. Mia started walking towards the gate that shined as the sun shown down upon it.
Kenith - March 23, 2008 11:44 PM (GMT)
Kenith nodded and followed after the small girl. His jacket fluttered around his frail frame as he walked, his mess-of-a-shirt showing his frame in the soft breeze. He looked rather underfed and malnourished. Kenith shook his head lightly as a brief thought passed through his mind. Though this thought was of little importance compaired to what his plans for the day were. As they passed under the rather bright bridge, Kenith squinted and it clearly showed that he was uncomfortable around such bright light.

Mia sighed as they entered the forest then looked around and smiled. She enjoyed walking in the forest, it felt as if it was the most soothing thing of everything that she did in the day. I believe we will have to search deep in the forest for wormweed, but for cottontail we can find that along the path. Redrose heather will be near water, so we will be very busy today. She smiled and slowly walked along the path and started singing a lovely melody she had learned when she was young.
Kenith - March 24, 2008 11:11 PM (GMT)
Kenith nodded as they walked through the small forest. He fidgeted with his slevee, inconspicuously addjusting his hidden dagger. Soon enough he forgot where he was exactly, falling into that sort of trance that comes over those who have been traveling for a while. His eyes seemed to have glazed over a bit, the look of a daydreamer.
This little dream of his lasted untill he tripped over a root and fell face first into the ground. As he looked up slowly, he had apparently fallen right infront of one of the ingredients they required. "Well what do you know..."
Mia - March 25, 2008 01:27 AM (GMT)
*Thud*
Mia turned and noticed that kenith had fallen over and had stumbled to the ground. What do you know. she heard him say. She ran over to his side and kneeled down beside him. Are you ok, do you need a hea... Cottontail!!! You found it. Mia took the herb by the root and plucked it from the ground.
Kenith - March 27, 2008 09:06 PM (GMT)
"Ah, um yes. Now whats next?" Kenith got to his feet, freeing himself of some dirt here and there. He dusted off his cloak and took a glance around. He wondered where exactly would be the best location for the next object they were searching for. "Hmm... How about over there?" He pointed over to a small stream running through a couple of bushes.
Mia - March 28, 2008 02:24 PM (GMT)
Mia watched as Kenith pointed to a trickle coming from between to bushes then dribbling away along the road. That's a good sign, that must mean water is nearby. She said as she began walking towards the tiny stream. She shoved her way through the bushes and emerged in a clearing and what appeared to include a pond of sorts, a stream emptying into the cool blue mirror of water. Do you see any Redrose Heather. She scanned the clearing for any signs of the herb.
