So here we have a very exciting new opportunity!
Here is where you can plan, exchange ideas, cultivate inspiration -or menace...
My hopes, in my involvement in this thread, is to see Curin really getting down and dirteh with his faithful-few! I'm looking forward to a thread where it's not necessarily all about combat... so, here we go!

Taiaka - March 17, 2008 01:16 AM (GMT)
Oh wow, I hope this is open to all, 'cause if so I am so there! I can already see how the betrayal of Fire would mess with Taiaka's groove. :grr:

Curin - March 17, 2008 01:19 AM (GMT)
This thread is most certainly open to all.
[edit] I've just received word, of a little confusion. In the opening post for each person, you need only write how your character has heard, or felt, or seen Curins Will calling. Regardless if you are good or evil. Then the DM will give you a Sign, or a Summons of what you should do next...

Tithy - March 17, 2008 01:37 AM (GMT)
OMG, Uber-Pwnage abounds! This is going to be so unbelievably busy! Amazing!

I just used four exclamation marks! I rarely do that...

I can't wait to weave both of my characters into this whole tale. :hyper:

Vaudeux Jupiter - March 17, 2008 01:54 AM (GMT)
Fire betrays
Extinguish it does not
Heightened in the dark
Embers forever melting hot

Be watchful
Do fear
The flame is coming
somewhere near

Unbenownst.

Yeah, what he said.

~Prepares for the uber-awesome~ :w00t:

Jaegar Brèvedent - March 17, 2008 01:57 AM (GMT)
Sweet deal. Looks like Jaegar gets to do some 'Soul Stealing' for the side of Darkness by playing in Nature.

Should be an awesome opportunity to get some experience around here.

Lyon - March 17, 2008 02:20 AM (GMT)
This sounds incredibly interesting!

*plots ways to involve one of his characters*

Undead - March 17, 2008 03:14 AM (GMT)
Will those neutral to Nature and to all causes in general also hear the call? =3

Curin - March 17, 2008 03:17 AM (GMT)
Good, Neutral, Evil, all are welcome. See:
In your opening post it is up to you to write how your character heeds the Call; and from there, our mystery-shrouded Dms will lead the way. So it is completely on your terms where you are, and how you might individually perceive the Call of Nature...

Jaegar Brèvedent - March 17, 2008 03:38 AM (GMT)
And you simply post in the topic already made, correct?

Curin - March 17, 2008 03:44 AM (GMT)

Jaegar Brèvedent - March 17, 2008 04:22 AM (GMT)
Sweet deal. I'll make sure to have the Caretaker send Jaegar off to oppose the will of the God of Nature.

...tomorrow. XD

Curin - March 17, 2008 04:25 AM (GMT)
Jaegar better pray the DMs don't send him to Curins' door... Curins' not a very happy boy right now, and someones going to pay!

Undead - March 17, 2008 04:43 AM (GMT)
I tried to convey the Wrath of nature but I'm not sure it was done realistically or even understandably. Anyways, I hope the post passes muster. PM for questions? ^_^;

*waddles off to bed*

Gaeras the Taragael - March 17, 2008 06:13 AM (GMT)
I will most certainly be replying to this tommorow! :hyper: It looks awesome!

Dungeon Master 1 - March 17, 2008 11:05 PM (GMT)
DM replies to the already active participants await you. link to topic

New participants are welcome at any time.

Aralishia - March 18, 2008 12:12 AM (GMT)
I may want to join in sometime (not now, working on a paper :grr: ), I just need to find a way to implement one of my characters...

Pixie-Dust - March 19, 2008 03:14 AM (GMT)
I will be in this as soon as possible. =)

Taiaka - March 20, 2008 07:05 PM (GMT)
*does a backflip* This storyline is amazing!!!!!

Jaegar Brèvedent - March 21, 2008 11:27 PM (GMT)
Woo! Finally posted!

Pixie-Dust - March 21, 2008 11:29 PM (GMT)
I can't wait to see what happens with everyone! XD

Jaegar Brèvedent - March 21, 2008 11:30 PM (GMT)
Yeah, it's great seeing all the different plots happening to everyone. Can't wait for mine!

Merenwen Coamenel - March 22, 2008 05:54 AM (GMT)
I want to join, and feel like I should, but I will put it off until I get some other stuff done before going even crazier.

Fendrel Creweshire - March 22, 2008 05:55 AM (GMT)
Seems we're going to have both Guardians of Nature in this one. Should prove to be a very interesting war. *Nods*

Roncho the Troll - March 25, 2008 01:33 AM (GMT)
roncho worships the god of nature, and a chance to serve him would be like winning the lottery for him :hyper:

I'll reply tomorrow :bounce:

Fendrel Cheshire - March 25, 2008 02:52 AM (GMT)
I might have my alt Mercury join in since he has small traces of affiliation with Nature through his favoritism with Ice Magic.

I'll sit on the idea.

Bane - March 25, 2008 03:02 AM (GMT)
I'm a bit late, but I finally got my second post in. >_<

Curin - March 25, 2008 05:03 AM (GMT)

I have now officially joined the Call of the Wild In-Character. The First of my Five Avatars has arrived at the port in Lomedor.

Posts of interest so far, in which the most development of the Greater Scheme is to be seen, are
Aneirins - in which the mustering of strength of Anon-En-Groth, the stronghold of the dwarves, is being carried out.
Taiakas - in which the mysterious Hippogryph a storm elemental who comes to Curins aid, has lost his memory...
Rieles - In which Galadhraug, the gigantic Dire Wolf gathers the Strength of Beasts and Beastmasters...
Vaudeux Jupiter - who is being openly provoked by the God of Nature

I highlight these because they each present really fantastic entry-points for new-comers. Use this forum to invent great ways for your entry, or how you can lend your strength to Curins Resistance, or Against it!

Pixie-Dust - March 25, 2008 05:15 AM (GMT)
Gah! I attacked my protector! It seems that I am no good at decifering the dungeon master. =(

Are there anyone close by the Acacia can meet and interact with? To join and fight evil for Nature? She really isn't going to do too well by herself, I believe.

Fendrel Cheshire - March 25, 2008 05:45 AM (GMT)
Wait, so we can have our characters enter into another's plot? If the other allows it of course, but still.

Just trying to decipher what you meant there, CurCur. XD

Curin - March 25, 2008 07:46 AM (GMT)
Yep; with a little planning right here, you can forge plans to enter into the same sub-plot as one of the other characters.
If you're interested in being placed somewhere in particular just PM me, or Dungeon Master 1 if you like, and we'll get it organised!

Fendrel Cheshire - March 25, 2008 08:20 AM (GMT)
Right then. Guess Fendrel's back in the fray for this one!

JupJup! Shall we have this take place after Vaudeux's and Fendrel's alliance and have them meet up in the shrine?

She is doing just fine, and no mistake: however, we are determined that it appear as "no walk in the park" for anyone.

Be certain, now more than ever, that you understand Curins' mind, that you understand what he desires of you: for if you fail him now, if your task goes awry, he will be wroth, and His Displeasure in you will be worse than if the Darkness were to become Victorious.

Nathaniel M. Rystoff - March 26, 2008 10:33 PM (GMT)
Hey! Is there still room for a late-comer, heh? And if so, I was wondering if there are things I should know beforehand, in regards to Taurai Woods? Also, is there somewhere the Shadovar have been stated to be/doing, and are they still required to post how they know of the battle beyond being told by the guild? (I understand they'd still perceive it, but would they be motivated by that or Vaudeux?) Thanks! ^_^

Taiaka - March 26, 2008 11:54 PM (GMT)
DM:

Fire has betrayed nature, but has it also betrayed man? What are the effects of these betrayals?

-Tai

Curin - March 27, 2008 12:02 AM (GMT)
@ Taiaka: Nature goes on as always... But Curin is not very happy with Jupiter. The betrayal is largely symbollic, but will likely come to a nasty head at some stage. Jupiter might have been a glorious Captain for Nature, but instead uses his power for darkness, lovely irony... Jupiter believes Curin is a fool and a dotard, and doesn't deserve his place; and will work to overthrow him. This spiritual conflict will be palpable, but will have little or no effect on the physical realm.

@ Nathaniel: a Shadovar character would perceive Curins Call, and resolve to frustrate Curin. To find some way to hinder him... The trouble is of course his identity is veiled, so that makes it hard for Shadovar to pin-point him... it also makes it hard for Curins' Faithful, as they don't know where to find him either... But there's no reason you can't hunt out and destroy some NPC Liradan... or something even more inventive and devillish, you're the pro, so I'll leave it with you...

Nathaniel M. Rystoff - March 27, 2008 12:14 AM (GMT)
Alright, cool! ^_^ And are we allowed to use two characters for this? I'd love to use my stag as well, obviously on the side of Curin.

Taiaka - March 27, 2008 12:15 AM (GMT)
Just to be sure....are there any tangible signs of Jup giving a call to his allies in fire and its activity?

Curin - March 27, 2008 12:20 AM (GMT)
@Taiaka; I'd happily encourage quite a lot of creativity there, don't let me hamper you! For example, Jupiter is being taunted by Curins face as seen in the torchier in his temple... That's totally acceptable! Perhaps you might perceive a similar interruptance... Lots of people have written that the quality of the sun seems diminished since Sartanas' leave-of-absence, so you'd be well in your rights to establish similar omens in the activity of fire!
