Title: Making Gold
Description: open!
thunderbird - February 25, 2008 10:33 PM (GMT)
Thundra had signs up that started at the edge of the forest and led the viewer into her tent, where, for a price she would tell there fortunes, there future and answer questions. Many knew of her so when one walked through the forest and saw a wooden sign tacked to a tree it would come as no supprise that it lead them to Thundra. This made enough for the young 17 year old to survive off of. This was her job and her tallent, fortune telling was in her blood.
And it was in the night that she flew on air, she was a thunderbird at night, larger than the normal eagle but more ellegent, and far more powerful, The thunderbird began as messanger to the gods, when its eyes blinked lighting came and when its wings met, thunder rang out into the night sky. Thundra posses the powers of lighting and thunder even out of her thunderbird form. And just as stunning.
In the day Thundra had long brown hair that shone like silk, green eyes that burned like emeralds, and skin that was light but only enhanced her pretty features. Though in the night she had wings, feathers of brown like her hair, and pure white. A rare bird, but a magical one.
Thundra sat in her tent waiting for customers, inside her tent was huge, rooms and rooms. It was a magical charm of course though customers couldnt go in any other rooms but that were she had her lit candles and table for fortunes. That room itself was decorated in several silk hanging fabrics some embellished with stars and moons.
It didnt seem like anyone was coming at the moment, so she went outside for a breath of air, she wore a dress that flowed with her every movement, she leaned up against the trunk of a nearby tree and inhaled the forest air. It was sunset, in an hour or two she would be a great hunting bird, but with the same emerald eyes.
At that moment she could hear footsteps behind her, she turned her head but did not move from the tree that she lay leaning against. "Who's there?" She asked to whomever may be there.
Delki - February 25, 2008 11:46 PM (GMT)
Delki wandered through the forest, spooking the rare traveler out of their minds when he suddenly popped up infront of them. To this, Delki would only laugh. He continued before he nearly walked into a sign. He came to an abrupt halt, leaning backwards to a more functional reading distance. He tapped his chin thoughtfully before pulling around and aiming for the destination mentioned. With an almost drunken swagger he tettered off down the faint path.
He came to stop infront of another sign. Indeed he was on the right path, only a ways longer. Delki continued on his way, immitating what he figured was the average 'noble' walk. He let out a muffled laugh every now and again, obviously enjoying his little immitations.
Finally, Delki came to his final stop. He stared straight ahead, although Thundra was directly to his right. "So you tell fortunes?" It seemed as though he was actually talking to the tent itself, instead of the fortune teller. He crossed his arms and put on an irritated loo, as though he was displeased by the tent's refusal to respond.
thunderbird - February 26, 2008 05:24 AM (GMT)
Thundra held back laughing, the man was walking arround like he was that of royal blood, he stuck his nose up walked slowly and with false meaning. She put a delecated hand over her lips to keep from laughing, then the man stood infront of the tent and asked it for his fortune. Thundra raised her eye brows and walked to him smiling.
"No, unfortuantly the tent will not tell your fortune." She said her emerald eyes sparkleing. "But I will, for a price of course, the price will go up and down depending on what you would like to know or what kind of reading you would like me to do." She said gently guiding him inside the tent.
Thundra took a seat on one side of the table and motioned for him to take the other. She then surveyd him across the table, his eyes were green like her own, but his hair was red like fire, and he seemed to have the strenght that many athletes possesed.
"Is there something you would like to know, or would you like me to do a general reading?" She asked placing her elbows on the table and cupping her face in her hands, long brown hair spilling over her shoulders.
Delki - February 26, 2008 09:00 PM (GMT)
Delki walked into the tent with the return of the drunken swagger. Delki felt that the ways in which humans moved about with similar to fine wine. To be tasted and tested, he was curious to try every peculiar style of walk. Perhaps his favorite was that of a drunken man, it was so funny for him to think that anyone could naturaly walk like this.
He tapped his chin in contemplation, the area of fortune telling was unknown to him. As a demon, he never had much intent to know what exactly fate held for him, he prefered to live the moment. He leaned against his seat, resting his arms behind his head. "Ah, ....you pick?" He gave a sly grin as he noticed that all was not as it seemed with this girl. He didn't know what, but from the sublte way she moved told about something...else.
thunderbird - February 26, 2008 09:11 PM (GMT)
He walked in slightly swaggering, he wasnt really drunk if he was she would have had to kick him out by now, he must have just found it funny, though she did too. He leaned against the chair and grinned at her in a way that was sly but very charming.
Thundra smiled before speaking, she took a quick look out at the light before taking his hand. Half an hour or shorter and she would be an eagle, this would have to be fast. Thundra tossed her long brown hair taking his hand gently in hers turning it palm side up. "I will read your palm and stars for you, that is a couple of the cheapest your total will be 10 gold coins when I am done, now if you dont mind telling me what is your sign? Or would you rather me guess?" She said keeping his hand in hers. A twinkle in her elegent emerald eyes. "But before we can start I would like to know your name, I am Thundra, obviously a fortune teller." She said shaking the hand she was holding then turning it palm side up again, as he replied she began to trace the little lines on his palm, her senses tingling with fortunes yet to be told.
Delki - February 26, 2008 10:59 PM (GMT)
Delki put an elbow on the table, resting his chin on his fist. "Why don't you guess?" His grin widened as he anticipated her supprise. He let the free hand drop down, and began to quietly drum the table. He scratched his head absent mindedly before resting his arm on the table again. "My name is Delki..." With an even larger grin he continued, "A demon."
thunderbird - February 27, 2008 12:19 AM (GMT)
Delki's grin became wider, and wider, and wider. Her own smile became fairly large, eyes showing more and more interest. But the news that he was a deamon was not a suprise, she could tell, just from touching his hand. Thundra laughed quietly for moment or two. "I'll do my best." She said standing up and walking arround the table. "My first guess would be a leo. Leo's are a confidant, fiery sign. My second would be a Scorpio. Scorpio's are a passionate sign, they are dynamic, and observant. But I could always be wrong." She said going back to her seat and sitting down crossing her legs and putting her arms on the table.
The sun was almost down, she had 15 minuets max, Thundra needed to hurry. Thundra tapped her foot and smiled. "Are you going to tell me or not?" Soon he would see her turn into a thunderbird, and that is not what she wanted a perfect stranger to see.
Delki - February 27, 2008 12:33 AM (GMT)
Delki rubbed his chin, "Oh you're gooooood" He gave a sarcastic smile. "I could be either, or neither. Take your pick." He rested his head on his fist once again. He tilted his head slightly, "May not be my place to say, but it would seem you are expecting something. A secret lover perhaps? Or maybe you are expecting an assassin confirming another rival breaths no longer, or perhaps.... you arn't always what you look to be." He grinned again, watching her face continuously.
thunderbird - February 27, 2008 12:41 AM (GMT)
Only about five minutes, Thundra had to make him leave somehow. "Well scince you wont tell me you may leave, you dont have to pay me and no I do not have a secret lover unless you would like to volenteer for the job yourself." She said pulling him out of the chair and pushing him out of the tent, she used all of her might but he was obviously stronger so she could atleast get him outside so if she did transform she could fly. Her face held a strong beauty but she was not smilling. "Leave." She said simply, the sun now gone, the moon risen, she could feel the magic begin.
Delki - February 27, 2008 12:51 AM (GMT)
Delki shrugged and laughed to himself, "Sure sure, free of charge. You obviously don't want me around, I get it." He turned around with a fake sad frown. "Now you've gone and hurt my feelings...birdy." He sighed and rolled his shoulders. She was very bird like in his opinion, could sing some great songs, looked good, but could just as easly poop on your head as sing you a song. He grabbed his things and walked down the path a ways, long enough to give the impression that he left. However, Delki was too curious to let this oportunity to be passed up and he hid behind a tree.
thunderbird - February 27, 2008 12:59 AM (GMT)
Thundra nearly slaped him right in the face, how dare he call her birdy, was he saying that she wasnt pretty, had a bad disposition? What? Thundra sighed after he left, just in time, her body lifted up a couple feet in the air, colors of every kind radiated from her skin, then the human form that was Thundra was gone, a thunderbird lay in its place, larger than the average eagle, but far more ellegent than a peacock. Her feathers were brown like her hair, some white like her skin, but she still had the same emerald green eyes.
What would have that deamon thought of me if he knew this is what happenes at night? Well it doesnt matter. Thundra thought to herself perching on a nearby tree.
Delki - February 27, 2008 01:06 AM (GMT)
Delki grinned as he saw what happened, he looked up to the branch above him as the bird fluttered down on the branch. "Ahhh, so we meet again my dear birdy? You really should try to cut down on the special effects when you change." He laughed and continued to stare up at the once-human. "Before you wonder what I think of you, I must remind you. I'm a demon, the whole 'You're not human!?' thing dosn't bother me." He laughed again and hopped up onto a near branch.
thunderbird - February 27, 2008 01:12 AM (GMT)
Now, Thundra could talk normally as a thunderbird but thought it sounded silly but chose not to. She turned to him her eyes glaring into his. First of all its not my fault that it does that it just does, and yes your not human and how in the world can you tell waht I'm thinking? Thundra shifted positoins on the branch and let out a loud KAW in reply, ruffled her feathers and turned her head to face him.
Thundra did have the power to change everyonce in a while durring the night, maybe now would be the best time, so that he had no reason to make fun of her or anything like that. Make life a little easier.
Delki - February 27, 2008 01:25 AM (GMT)
Delki sighed and shook his head, "Alright, alright. If you want me to go I will. Your secret is safe with me..." He put his hand over his chest, "...and everyone else at the tavern...Just kidding." He laughed and jumped off the branch. "Well then I suppose I will be going before I get you even more angry." He chuckled to himself again and continued down the path.
thunderbird - February 27, 2008 02:03 AM (GMT)
Thundra rolled her eyes and would have smiled if she were in human form, that was an encounter she would remember. A person she would remember, an event she would remember, she flew off into the moon light the shillouette of a large majestic bird against the moon.

If you could be my punk rock princess
I would be your garage band king
If I could be your first real heart ache
I would do it over again!
Thundra stood dancing in a pub in the near by village, her hair flew arround her green eyes, her skirt flowed with every movement. She moved as if she were a part of the music itself, had she realized that the same deamon From the forest was watching her she would have smiled. Her face now showed great joy glowing with music and happiness. She winked once at the lead singer before going off to the bar.
Thundra took a seat and ordered her drink. "Tigers blood on the rox please" She said crossing her legs her skirt reavealing only a little more leg, she tossed her dark brown hair and smiled when she heard a voice behind her.
Delki - February 27, 2008 02:32 AM (GMT)
Delki laughed, "Your not that bad...how is it that every girl I meet seems to be able to sing? I bet I could sing-" The bartender, who knew the demon well suddenly froze and, along with many other paitrons who knew Delki, shouted "No!" Delki laughed and acted as though he was dealing wiht addoring fans. "Oh sure sure sure, you don't want me to wear out my singing voice." He grinned and sat down next to 'Miss Birdy' "Hmm, get me the usual Bob!" The bartender grumbled something along the lines of "For the last time, my name is Frank." Delki's only response was to shrug and laugh some more.
thunderbird - February 27, 2008 02:42 AM (GMT)
Thundra tunred to him. "I didnt know you could sing like that, it was good." She said giving him a small smile. The bartender came up, gently handed her her drink and smiled at her walking away to work on Delki's drink. "Thanks" She said holding the glass containing the red liquid. "I didnt think that I would see you again." She said crossing her legs and resting one arm on the counter top and putting the other on her lap.
The bartender watched them, handed Delki his drink then walked away only to watch them from a distance, with eyes that showed he didnt trust them like they were planning something that would take down his bar, or take all his money.
Delki - February 27, 2008 10:45 AM (GMT)
He grinned and spun around in his seat once. "Oh, but people who know me see me a whole lot more than they usually like." He grabbed his drink, and chucked a coin. Supprisingly, not to the bar keep, but to the money box in which it landed perfectly. He smirked at this briefly before looking back to Thundra.
thunderbird - February 27, 2008 03:51 PM (GMT)
Thundra smiled. "Well I'm not sure if I even like you yet, so I guess we'll have to see, many see me as one thing when I can be, as you know, something completely different." Thundra smiled as his coin landed in the tray. Thundra pulled out her own gold coin and slid it over the table to the bartender who caught it and placed it in the coin box. "So, Delki, your a deamon." In Thundra's experiance deamons were fun creatures, but were heavily guarded and it took effort to befriend them. But once you did, they were loyal and fun freinds. And, Thundra always liked a challange.
Delki - February 27, 2008 09:26 PM (GMT)
Delki yawned and rubbed his eyes sleepily. "Ah of course, few people trust a demon." He grinned slyly, "...and often with good reason." He rested his forearms on his legs. "Ah well, not that we need many friends. Live life for what it is, you know?" He scratched the back of his head in slight irritation at the usual disregard for demon kind.
thunderbird - February 27, 2008 11:04 PM (GMT)
Thundra took in his information, deamons are not trusted, they have yet to win it. And they dont have many freinds. Then why are you sitting here talking to me? She thought to herself. Thundra smiled micheiveiously. "Then why are you talking to me? Or is it just because I tempt you." She said raising one eye brow for a moment before turning and slowly raising her drink to her lips savoring the cold liquid that rushed down her throat. Her emerald eyes fixated on the deamon and she smiled. "Well?"
Delki - February 27, 2008 11:39 PM (GMT)
Delki laughed quietly to himself, "Ah, we do not have many friends...not because we refuse to have them, but few can stand our pressence." He made a slight gesture to the occasonal glare, "See? Its rather funny really." He took another swig of his dring, ending with a slight hickup. "Tempt me?" He pretended to gawk at this, "Why would you happen to think that?" He leaned forward again with a sly grin stretched across his face. "Or do I tempt you?" He leaned back, the grin never leaving his face.
thunderbird - February 28, 2008 12:06 AM (GMT)
Thundra smiled, this one was fun. She raised her eye brows for a moment before putting her arm on the table and leaning forward just a little bit. "Why dont we just see about that? We'll tempt each other and see who gives in first. Or are you affraid of loosing to a shape shifter?" She asked smiling just as widley as he was. Her dark brown hair fell over her shoulders as she leaned forward and extended her hand to him for a handshake to make sure he was going ot take on the challenge.
Delki - February 28, 2008 12:31 AM (GMT)
Delki grinned even wider, "A competition? Oh this will be fun!" He shook hands with her, his grin never shrinking. "You just get more and more entertaining!" He laughed and spun around on his seat. "I know I can handle a birdy, but can you handle a demon?" He gave a playfully fake dark-evil smile. "With all our naughtyness too." He took one last swig of his drink before setting the mug down. "Good luck, you'll need it." With that, he stood up, ready to start the competition.
thunderbird - February 28, 2008 12:42 AM (GMT)
Thundra smiled, he would compete, now this would be fun, he seemed very confidant, but she was just as confidant as he was. THis would be fantastic. "I think your the one that will need it babe, and I'm not just a little bird, I'm a hunting bird darling." Thundra stood up and walked up behind him quietly coming up behind him and putting her hands over his eyes. "I fear that you are the one that will need the luck." She said letting her breath touch the skin on his neck and ear. She took her hands of his eyes and walked past him to watch the new person performing on the small wooden stage.
Delki - February 28, 2008 12:53 AM (GMT)
He smirked as she snuck up on him, "Oh you're good." He watched her wander over to watch the performances, "But I know when the time to strike is." He crept up next to her, not making any move as of yet. He watched the show, making a devious plot in his mind all the time. He inwardly chuckled, this would be very very fun.
thunderbird - February 28, 2008 05:36 AM (GMT)
Thundra smiled, he said he knew when the time to strike was right, but we'll see. This would be a precise game. If he was going to wait for the opritune moment she would just have to not give it to him, not avoid him but to flirt without giving him any chance to do so back. Yes this was going to be quite the game. And she was very excited. "We'll see."
Thundra watched as the singer held the microphone fast and sung into it with much passion it was a song that had a dancing tone to it, she danced to it for a while, went back to the bar, took a drink and went back to watching. The moon was about to be out, so she simply wnet out to get fresh air, it would be a couple more hours before she transformed but it was better to be safe than sorry so she stood leaning up against the wood walls of the pub closing her eyse and taking deep breaths letting the fresh air in.
Delki - February 29, 2008 01:44 AM (GMT)
Delki noticed Thundra's leave, and planned to take advantage of the situation. He crept out the door after her. He had figured what she was anticipating, her transformation into a bird. He smirked, seems that he had the advantage there. After all, how was a bird suposed to be attractive? He shrugged lightly while creeping up on her. He slipped in right behind her, leaning over to her ear. "Hey there." While saying that he had applied light pressure to her back, so that she felt his presence.
thunderbird - February 29, 2008 01:55 AM (GMT)
Thundra inhaled the cool air of the dusk, after a minute or two she could hear the door open and close, the she felt the enevitable, hot breath on her skin and made her sway, she could feel his body against hers but only lightly. Thundra slowly turned arround not making more distance between the two, staying just as close, when she turned their lips were only centimeters from one another, she closed her eyes and brushed hers against his. "Hi...." She purred.
Thundra smiled and walked back a couple feet she would not give in, this was a game. One that would be played with lust, but much fun. "You didnt stay to listen to the music? or to look at the tavern wenches? Thats a pitty." She said her eyes glittering.
Delki - February 29, 2008 02:22 AM (GMT)
Deli laughed, "Almost got ya there!" He wandered around in a rough circle, snickering to himself. "Now why would I be looking at the girls in the tavern when the challenge is to take you down?" He grinned and crossed his arms over his chest. "Besides, I wouldn't want to miss your fancy feathers." He chuckled and looked to the moon. Only a little bit longer.
Dark Raven - February 29, 2008 02:26 AM (GMT)
Thundra smiled, he was not close to getting her, she only did that to tempt him though she would not tell him he would not see it that way. Her smile widdened yes of course he would rather have the challenge. "Who said I was going to let you see me change again anyways? You think its over dramatic and it would only be embarassing for you to hear me speak when I'm a bird that would just be stupid you know. And babe you will never take me down! I'm far to competative to let THAT happen anytime soon." Thundra looked up at the moon, it was almost time and this time she would not let him see her morph. Thundra began to walk away to the edge of the forest where her tent was.
Delki - February 29, 2008 02:37 AM (GMT)
Delki sighed and shrugged, "Fine, have it your way." He waved good bye and wandered back into the tavern. He was going to be plotting all night long. He grinned as one plan began to develop in his mind. He found a seat at the table, resting his chin upon his head. He smirked, this was a good plan. However, he would use it as the finishing blow, when she was most vulnerable. His plan was unfailable.
thunderbird - February 29, 2008 02:50 AM (GMT)
Thundra formed, and went to bed. This next play would be telling but not the last, but ceritanly big, thundra thought about it before going to sleep, yes she had a plan that would be sure to work.
Thundra woke and changed into a dress that had a corset top with sheer sleeves along with a red floor length bottom that flowed with her legs. She walked to town letting her fingers trace the long grass, she walked through town talking to the shop keepers and the occasional stranger who said hi or flirted with her, after the end she went ot he ountian in the town square and layed down on the edge. Thundra wore a corset with no sleeves, skirt with one sheer layer of white skirt and she wore pants underneith. Her skirt and long silk hair fell over the side and onto the hard floor. THundra could hear noble men and woman walk slowly by and hear the pesents chat as her skin drank in the heat from the sun.
Delki - February 29, 2008 03:25 AM (GMT)
Delki slammed down his mug to the table. What a better way to wake up in the morning than with plenty of drinks. He giggled and hickuped, not really drunk but he sure did look it. He sighed and stood up, tossing some coins to the tender to pay for his food. He paused and turned slowly, locking onto Thundra. He smirked, "Dressed up, didn't ya?" He laughed and walked on over.
thunderbird - February 29, 2008 03:30 AM (GMT)
Thundra smiled and opened her eyes looking up but making no motion to move, he looked slightly drunk, he hickuped and giggled. Delki slamed a mug down and walked over to her smiling like a cat. She turned her head to face him a couple strands of hair falling infornt of her face. "Good morning babe." He obviosuly noticed that her top was nothing but a corset and her skirt was see through and she was wering pants which very few woman of this time did. "Yes I did, too bad it wasnt for you." She said adding a little bite to her friendly hello.
Delki - February 29, 2008 03:37 AM (GMT)
Delki grinned and shook his head light, "Really? I thought you had dressed up just for me." He laughed and shook his head again. "So then why did you dress yourself up like that?" He wandered over to the bar and grabbed a new drink. He returned remarkably fast. He handed her a mug, and examined the contents in his. He sniffed it before shrugging and downing it all in one swig.
thunderbird - February 29, 2008 03:42 AM (GMT)
Thundra smiled and laughed. "You wish. But it was just for fun. To go out on the town you know." Thundra sat up right and took the drink taking a long sip. The cool liquid trickled down her throat, she swallowed it in one gulp. Thundra leaned foreward, and smiled. "Unless of course you would want me to dress up....just for you." She purred in a low but feminine voice. The great play was about to begin it would be the hardest to resist, and she would play it well. Thundra was confident she would win though a deamon always knew what he was doing.
Delki - February 29, 2008 03:46 AM (GMT)
Delki leaned forward, smirking. "Oh would you now? I'd sure love that." He would play into her little trap, for now at least. It could all be worked into the plan. He would find an opening somewhere in there. Besides, what guy woudln't like the current situation? He returned to his original position, his arms crossed over his chest again.
thunderbird - February 29, 2008 03:49 PM (GMT)
Thundra went back to laying down, she wouldnt let it all go down this easily. "Too bad then, because that babe, will not happen." She said tracing patters in the water of the fountian that she was laying on. Her breaths slowly went in and out, the sun beat down on her pale skin the warmth of the sun was welcome from the cold of the ngiht. "So has the deamon managed to make any friends? Or are you still content with being independant for the time being." She asked turning ot her side and proping herself up with one arm.
Delki - February 29, 2008 11:17 PM (GMT)
Delki sighed and shrugged, "Aw... Oh well." He grinned and crossed his arms. "Now why do you go asking this again? I've already answered it. We are prefectly content staying in solitude, but that dosn't mean we don't want friends." He shrugged again, not really understanding the need for all this. He wandered around in a rough circle around Thundra, in an almost flirtatious manner.
