Although she has ran free within the forest and fields Laufiea has never really truly felt free, she has been keeping a big secret for a long time now and it is starting to wear her down she just had so much stress on her lately that she had nowhere to direct it towards, she had no one who would listen and not go running and telling someone the minute she released who she truly was inside, the thing she had become not long ago but still felt like a lifetime.

She came to the ocean to see the expanse of ocean and the strength that it held and the power that one went out to sea with only to be pushed back by the reluctant sea, she closed her eyes basking in the sweet tender sunlight and the oceans glare casting mermaid lights on her eyelids. She enjoyed the feeling of not feeling anything at all and just relaxing, it calmed her frantic mind and soothed her soul.

Opening her eyes she started for the edge of the cliff that she was standing on and looked down, she knew there were no rocks at the bottom for hundreds of feet and that if she wished to cliff dive off and into the water she was in no danger of hitting any part of her body on jagged rocks. Raising her arms gracefully above her head she leaned forward and braced herself for the freefall of her life. Bending her knees she sprang up and forward and out until she was floating in air for a second then fell straight down arms pointed and legs straight and together.

The skirts of her dress flapped around her legs feeling as if it was about to be torn off, wanting to see the water when she sliced through it, she opened her eyes and smiled as the water came up to meet her ready body. She sliced through the water neat and clean as she anticipated. She went down a long way before stopping and just floating in the water, wondering if anyone even saw her freefall that she was never bold enough to attempt, kicking towards the surface she broke into oxygen and took a deep gulp, laughing with joy.

After meeting air once again she looked around to see if she was off course at all and she was low and behold she was about a mile away actually, the current must have pulled her away while she was glorifying in the clear cool water. All at once the water began to churn and make more waves that were bigger and stronger than the ones she was just riding, she was not yet scared for the sun was still out and there were not yet storm clouds in the air. But still her best bet was to swim back to shore where she would be safer. Looking back towards shore she was now about 2 miles away and cursed the damned water for treating her this way when she loved it so much.

Swimming proved to be a harder task than she thought after about an mile she grew heavier and less strong, this was not the kind of freedom she ha been looking for in the ocean, but then again beggars cant be choosers and for the love of god she had been begging. Resting a second she started once more for the shore. After about 5 minutes she made it to a group of big rocks where the big waves did not quiet reach the top, she could climb on top and wait the waves out seeing as she did not have a whole lot of strength left to fight the waves any longer. She grabbed the jagged rocks and climbed to the top laying down only to close her eyes and rest her muscles a bit but actually ended up falling asleep on top of a rock in the ocean during a start to a storm this day was becoming a great day.....

The first droplets of rain were quite refreshing. There wansn't much wind, it was sort of hot, yes, refreshing they were. Unfortunatly they started to come down harder and harder and harder. Man I have the worst luck, Galen thought to himself as he put up the hood on his cloak. Frowning now because he was getting rather soaked to the skin he picked up the pace and looked for a good place to wait out the rain which was now coming down as a hard storm. The cliff face Galen was walking along was slowly turning into a muddy death trap to anyone who strode to close to the edge. They would most definatly fall off. As the thought accured to Galen he subconsiously stepped farther inland.

And then came the wind. At first he didn't notice it, just a slight breeze. Soon enough though it picked up and nipped sharply at every exposed part of his body. He was freezing now. His nose was taking the brunt of the damage. It was so cold it started dripping and he could of sword it would frost over soon enough. His hands were turning blue and he could barely keep his eyes open from the wind and rain pelting them. Sniffling a little he took the time to look over the edge of the cliff and down to the magnifigant coast line below.

As he peaked over the edge he couldn't help but spy a shape atop a rock outcrop. At first he thought it was a large flock of dumb seagulls trying to wait out the stop there but as he wiped the water out of his eye he made of the distintive shape of a young girl. He let his mouth hang open. How could a girl be down there? What was she doing? Was she even alive? All these questions and more streaked through his mind as he wondered what to do. Looking behind him he saw an overhaning rock to put his things down under. After doing so he ran back and kneeled at the edge of the cliff. "Miss!! Miss! Are you ok?" That was all he could think of saying and afte he said so he wondered why he yelled out something so bland and cliche.

She slowly woke at a sort of glacier pace and didn’t know there with ice bullets pelting down on her until she fully awoke which took about 20 minutes, or so it felt that way. After fully awoke she sat up quickly and immediately felt little pricks on her skin like little needles poking never ceasing to slow nor stop. Looking at the skin she frowned the skin was now a dark purplish black and the fluffy clouds that were present before were now tall narrow clouds that shoot up into the sky.

Not only was there ice bullets but walls of icy wind slashing into her body threatening to tear off her cloths, she struggled to get up not wanting to be knocked off the rock. Finally when she was standing she heard it, a faint sound that was almost lost in the wind, but if she took extra care and tap into her wolf instincts and senses she could make out what it was saying and what it was that was saying it. A man seemed to sound worried by the sound waves of his deep voice and was asking if she was ok and calling her miss. “Miss?” well not many had called her that in her lifetime.

Looking up at the steep cliff that had given her so much freedom before she spotted the man who was crouching on the ground leaning over the side to get a better view of her, he’d better be careful or he was going to fall and land in the icy cold blackness below. Cupping her hands over her mouth she tried to amplify her voice so he would be able to hear her, using her deep voice that came from turning into a wolf. She yelled at the top of her lungs, “Yes, yes I am alright but you better be careful you might…..” Her words were cut off as a huge 20 foot wave washed over her and knocked her off the rock and into the frigid water that immediately stiffened her muscles into useless pieces of body that would serve her no use if she remained in this water much longer.

She tried loosening her muscles by; kicking her arms and legs trying to get energy into the therefore transferring warmth to make the muscle flexible again. After doing so, she then broke the surface and took in a great gulp of air causing a red hot pain to shot from her lower rib cage to her chest bone, making her scream and sink back under, the cold of the water made her lungs also less flexible, meaning she needed to get out of the water fast or she was going to either die from lack of oxygen even above the surface or she was going to drown and freeze to death. Looking up at the cliff again she tried to spy an foot path that led back up but found none. Her vision was going blurry ad she was becoming weaker with the cold.

She yet again fell back to the dark abyss and this time it took longer to get back up, she was really afraid that the next time she went under she wouldn’t get back up. Her last hope was for a cave that was semi dry and away from the high tide. She found one that was not huge but of decent size and swam into it and dragged herself onto the rocky mound. Getting out of the water she still felt her heat draining and thought that this cave came to late and she was now going to die , well she did have a good day I mean she did perform a awesome cliff dive. She smiled in as her body shut down slowly and because her body had gone completely numb with pain and cold.
