Jade had her friend Mara scout the area for any figures or surprises that would prove to be dangerous. Nero was late, but Jade would still scout ahead slightly to make sure everything was safe for him. The person they had to fight was a shape shifter by the name of Dorlont. He was a very dangerous man and a very talented shape shifter. There was also a high cash amount at stake for bringing in this man. What a better way to make money by doing the thing she loved most, assassinations. If she had to be an assassin, she might as well take bounties too for even more pocket money.

The forest was oddly more misty than normal. It was almost as if a evil presence was around. Jade stood high in the tree and waited for the words of Mara. She held her bow tightly and kept an arrow in it to make sure that by no chance would she be taken by surprise. She was ready for anything.

Mara flew at her quickly and swiftly. “Theres an army down there” Mara said as he hinted to the fact that there was more than just Dorlont to have some fun with. “Theres a giant of a man with a very large sword there, and a few minor demons.” Mara said as he had a look of worry on him. Hopefully Nero wouldn’t be so quick to run into this, but even if he did, Jade had his cover fire. Everything was going to be ok. Slightly harder, but more fun for the two of them though right?

Another day, and another job Jade had managed to get Nero into. What the hell was this woman doing to him? There was something strange about her, something that Nero could not put his finger on and that was the only reason he was still doing missions with her, he wanted to find out what this strange thing was about her and one day he would! The mission for this time was to kill a shape shifter, and one that Nero had heard a lot about infact since the fool had been shaping himself into Nero and using his form to do many crimes of late. This was the other reason why Nero had taken up the job! To rip the bastard limb from limb for giving the half demon a bad name, yes both Nero and the Red Queen would tear out his heart and display it for all to see in due time.

Jade and a friend of hers had set out in front of Nero through the tree tops while Nero had taken the direct root, the ground root for that matter. Narrowing his eyes as he walked on Nero thought to himself, “I am going to enjoy killing this guy, there is no way someone like him is going to make me feel bad, no way in HELL!” Thinking this the half demon continued walking and soon he could see a camp area ahead of him, a smirk grew along his lips before Nero thought to himself, “Oooh this will be fun, there is more than one of them!” It was time to finally the fun start! It was time for Nero to clear what was left of his name!

Jade heard footsteps in the area in which she was in. She thought it was Nero so she quickly jumped from one tree to another a short distance away. While in the middle of the jump she noticed that it was not Nero and it was more of a demon guard that was on patrol. Jade quickly grabbed the tree branch of the tree she was jumping to, but the tree branch snapped as she grabbed it. The demon guard looked up quickly only to see Jade.

"God damn." Jade cursed at herself as she started to make a fast descend to the forest floor. Thinking quickly, Jade turned her body and tucked it closely. She then used her long legs and shot them outward and kicked off the tree. Sounded dumb, but she drew her dagger and prepared a killer attack. She was directly in the open, and the demon had threw something made of black energy at her but completely missed.

"They have bad aim. Good to know." Jade said as she outstretched her legs and did a pencil onto the head of the demon. She killed him, and used his body as a cushion for the hard ground. Blood spurted everywhere, and bones cracked loudly. Quickly she fled into the shadows of a large tree and started her half climb of it. Where the hell was Nero. They needed to get started, but Jade seemed to be messing up which was odd for an assassin of her status. She would need help, not because they were hard to kill, but because knowing that he was around gave her a better tell on who was an enemy and who wasn't. Him not being there meant every sound she heard she would have to investigate. Was this payback for making him wait at that training session?

Cracking his neck at each side Nero kept his eye on the camp, he was waiting for the right moment, the moment that he could charge in a rip the heads off of a few people. Hell it was all in good fun you know? However as he was looking on at the camp the half demon heard a noise coming from his right side, slowly he leaned back and looked to see what the noise was. Raising his left eyebrow Nero seen none other than Jade falling out of a tree, if he had been closer to her he would have commented on it but for now the demon just tried to hold back from laughing. He did not see the rest of what happened though as his attention turned back to the camp once more, only what he seen did not exactly fill his with joy as all he could see was one of the guards faces looking right at him.

Slowly scratching his head with his right hand Nero said, “Em hi! Em… how are you?” He then stopped for a second to see if the guard would reply but when he didn’t the demon quickly said, “Oh to hell with it then!” Instantly Nero reached round and grabbed the hilt of the red queen, in doing so he ripped the blade out of its sheath and slammed it into the skull of the guard with a wicked laugh as the blood spurted out and splattered over the face of Nero. Removing the blade from the things skull Nero got to his feet and rested his blade on his shoulder as he walked into the campsite.

The others did not seem very happy to see him, but Nero just smirked at them all before saying, “Well hello boys. I was informed that a party was being held here, and well there seems to be to many people in this area for it to be legal… so to fix that I am going to kill you all. Man I love my job!” Once saying this Nero continued to smirk, he knew the fun was finally going to start!

"Broke a damn nail with him." jade said looking at her hand. It was not bad, but she just hadnt cut her nails for a few days so it got in the way. Why was she worrying on such things now? Only because she couldn't find Nero and had a little extra time to spare. Just as she thought she was free, she heard a voice. With a slight pause, she heard another sound, which sounded like someone just died in a horrible way.

"Dammit. What now?" Jade said as she jumped out of the tree and crept low to the ground and made her way to where she heard the sound. When she got there, she found a dead demon guard. "Figures he would be here and didnt tell her. Arrogant Bastard he was but that could be settled later.

She looked ahead only to see Nero himself standing with his sword. Was he stupid? What was it with men and charing in head first. I dont think he knew about the reinforcements lying directly behind this camp. One scream or yell and everyone is alerted. Damn.

Nero was in the middle of the camp almost and everyone in the camp was now alerted. Damn again. The guards and warriors in the camp drew their weapons and charged for Nero. Some stayed back and even one fled to try to get to the other sites before it was too late. Jade quickly stood up and grabbed her bow. She placed three barbed arrows in and fired them. Two of them hit two of the guards running at Nero, and the other hit the demon running away.

"Here i am to save you" Jade said in a taunting tone as she placed more arrows in ready to fire at a moments notice.
