The sounds of grunting, slashing, hacking and chopping could be heard from the Battlestand as fighters everywhere came to test out their meddle in the arena. Talias was here of course, though he wasn't going to fight. He was in fact one of the medical examiners whose job it was to cart out the wounded and put them back together. Talias watched the two armoured fighters down below, as they attacked each other furiously. One was covered in plate mail and armed with a large battle-axe, whilst the other fighter was armoured only in leather but armed with a wicked looking sword that was covered in blood. Talias shook his head and wondered why on Arda people would knock each other's teeth out in the name of fun? Talias' idea of fun was reading, poetry and music. If someone had asked Talias if they wanted to fight him, Talias would have shaken his head and wondered if that person was stark raving mad.

A clash and a joint-crowd groan brought Talias out of his thoughts, as the warrior in platemail had cracked the leather armoured warrior on the head with the hilt of his axe. The leather-armoured man dropped like a sack of potatoes and didn't get back up, blood oozing from a wound on top of his head. Talias shook his head and walked out into the arena, ready to drag the leather armoured man out of the arena. The announcer on the arena, his voice magically amplified so that it carried against the arena, was going crazy with excitement.

"What a blow ladies and gents, and the fighter from Estolad had bit the dust, now our official medical examiner will see if he is still alive."

Talias knelt down and placed his two fingers upon the man's neck, looking for a pulse. He found one, a little faint for his liking, but this man was still alive. Talias raised his thumb into the air to signal that the fighter was fine.

"He's OK folks," shouted the announcer.

Talias grabbed the man and dragged him away, back into the arena hallways. Propping him up against the wall, Talias placed a hand upon the wound and began to chant an elvish healing spell that he had learnt from his mother.
"Ëälhë hístä óronsmï oúndswí ósën éhen äncën ëtgen imselfhá noccédcó útoën gaínath"
As he was chanting, Talias' hand started to glow blue and the wound began to knit itself together. Soon, the wound was non-existent as the heal spell had done it's work. The leather man would only have a head-ache that would slay the mightiest of warriors. Propping the man up against the wall, Talias saw something drop out of the man's pockets. It was a white note that read:
"If you don't do it, we'll do this the old fashioned way..."
What on earth was that about? But Talias didn't need to worry, he simply left the man to recover and went outside to resume his duties.

Laufia was watching this never ending destruction of people and all of arda, men who thought that killing each other or paralizeing eah other brought honor to their name, they were wrong, it is vile and cruel and completly mental. Asone of the guys where hit in the head and blood started to gush from his head she gasped and held her hand to ehr mouth waiting for the parametics to come.

As she watched the parametics to ruch and see if he was till alive she kept her glued to the man to get the slightest hint that he was still alive, when the loud obnoxious announcer came on and clarified that he was alive she smiled and closed ehr eyes knowing there was to be one more surviver. As the guy was dragged away she watched a young man pick up a white note and read it quickly. Then walk away with a disturbed look on his face, a look only she knew that she expressed.

This man seemed like he was disgusted by what took place in the arena but loved to heal people, his intensity and focus while healing him was increidable and she smiled warmly, she had never met a male who took so much love in healing and so much pain and disgust, she only wished she had met him earlier and to get to know him earlier in her life, her life might have been....differnt but no need focusing on the past.

He walked towards the exist and seeing that another fight was about to start, got up slowly but purposly and strode towards the exist of her balcony where she was invited to watch by a older lupin who very much enjoyed the fighting and blood of the victims. Exiting she looked around, her shoulder length strawberry blonde hair slightly falling into her face, she spotted him walking towards a busy section where she guessed he worked and started towards him with a smile on her face or what she wanted to look like a smile.

As she caught up with him she stopped dead and saw outside the doorway in which she was faceing being occumpied by a large man who had a handsome face and a feirce wolfish grin, a look she knew to be only of possesion and triumph. He walked towards her, " What are you doing here i thought i told you to leave me alone i want nothing to do with you" He shrugged his massive shoulders and grinned, "My dear i am not here for you i am here to fight many people and for me to see how these...humans areprogressing." She looked up at him in horror and the to the side looking at the man once more then back towards this man in front of her. " Why would you kill innocent people? you know they will most certainly die under your hands" He placed his hand roughly under her chin tilting it up. "My dear you are far more sweet and caring for my liking but i will see you later." He leaned down to kiss her but she slapped his face instead, he only smiled and winked back. Wrapping ehr arms around herself she looked at the busy people working as if nothing happened to her. She strode in trying to find a way to heal her back up.

Despite the fact that he should mind his own business, Talias couldn't stop thinking about the note he had found. Curiosity may have killed the cat, but that didn't stop Talias wondering what the note meant. If the fighter didn't do what? Talias shook his head and forced himself to ready himself for when it was time to go into action again to heal the next person, which wouldn't be that soon because the announcer had just told the crowd that a thirty minute intermission would take place so the fighters could get ready. So Talias turned straight around and walked to the kitchen area where he could hopefully get some chicken stew.

"At this rate... we'll be rich..."

Talias stopped for a moment and listened in to what was just said. Part of him suddenly kicked himself, first he was being nosy and now he was earwigging in conversations. He should just walk away now and prevent himself from doing anything else silly. But the other part of him rooted Talias to the spot so he didn't move.

"I told you this would work, the fighters are all co-operating, and those who don't get knocked out. Our boy will reach the top in no time..."

Talias' eyes widened and he realised what was going on. The fights were being fixed, the man in the plate mail was being pushed to the top and everyone else was taking dives... or being knocked out, if they didn't co-operate. Talias had to find an adjudicator to tell them immediately. Of what was happening. Quickly, Talias walked away down the hallway and bumped into a young lady who was looking troubled.

"I'm sorry m'am, but would you know where an adjudicator would be?" Talias asked graciously.

Half dazed and not entirely there, she walked towards the crowd of people hearing them bickering but not listeing, but then she saw the man walking down the hallway fast and it looked to her like it was urgent. As he passed ehr he bumped into her and she stopped as did he, he looked at her in a most peculiar way and asked ehr if she knew where an adjudicator was, she wanted to say yes and show him the way but truth be told she had no idea what she was talking about.

Shly she said, " Im sorry but im afraid i dont know what you are tlaking about, im not sure what a adjudicator is, I dont usually come here so i dont really know my way around or the order of buiesness is run around here." She finshed her little speecha nd sighed because she knew how stupid she must have sounded, and she was quit embarressed, goes to show how she can fall for any guy even if she dosnt know him, wow she really was hopeless.

Looking back at him she said. "Do you work here? it is great how people have the hearts to heal the idiots who go in there just to come back out hurt and battered, you looked like you really cared though not just a job you have to do." She then looked into his eyes and saw to her dismay that, that was the most bold move she has made in awhile, the last time she met eyes with someone it ended in...difficult terms. But looking into his eyes she saw not just emptyness but....depth. She truely was a hopeless case....

"I'm sorry but I'm afraid I don't know what you are talking about, I'm not sure what a adjudicator is, I don't usually come here so I don't really know my way around or the order of business is run around here."
Talias looked around feverishly, trying to find an adjudicator so he could report what he believed was going on.
"An adjudicator is someone who watches over the tournament," explained Talias, "He wears a red sash to show his authority and looks like that person over there."
Talias pointed to an adjudicator that was walking across the grounds. Quickly, the cleric walked over and explained what was going on and what his suspicions were. The adjudicator listened and nodded and then replied to Talias' concerns. Talias walked back to the stranger with a smile on his face.
"The adjudicator will sort it out, he'll meet me in fifteen minutes to tell me what is going on."
Talias breathed a sigh of relief.
"Do you work here? It is great how people have the hearts to heal the idiots who go in there just to come back out hurt and battered, you looked like you really cared though not just a job you have to do."
Talias smiled at the stranger for her kind words.
"I do care, I'm a doctor after all. If you want to smack someone else in the head and get injured them it's up to you. But I'm the one who will heal you. And no, I don't work here. I volunteered in the name of Lothlomendil."
