Title: A day at the Beach

Jade Valdis - February 6, 2008 03:04 AM (GMT)
The beach air was perfect. Salty smelling waves crashed on top of each other as they rolled onto the sand of the shore. Children and parents both played in the water while others played in the sand. Others sparred a little taking full advantage of the nice weather out. It was a beautiful day to just sit and chill in the sun. No real fights, missions, or troubles to worry about. Just making sure that she didn’t stay in the sun too long was the only thing one had to worry about. Didn’t want to mess herself up, or get a sun burn for that matter. Nobody wanted that at all.

Jade was sitting on the sand when she got the sudden urge to just swim. She stood slowly and wiped the soft sand off her body as she walked her way down to the water and dipped her foot in. As she did that, she failed to noticed the large wave come up. The wave crashed onto Jade knocking her down and covering her completely in water. When the water subsided all jade could do was laugh at that. She got up and ran into the water since she was already fully wet. The joys of just being on the beach alone was beautiful. Jade was a real soloist person who loved her own peace, and being one with the water in such a way made her happy. She was happy, just like everyone else at the beach at the time.

Seraph watched the happy families from a cave hidden in the rocks along the shore. He used to love the beach when he was once living. He now could only feel envious of others as the enjoyed their free time splashing in the waves of the impressive oceans that surrounded the continent. He wished he could lie in the sun once more and feel the cool breeze as it swept in from the sea. It was just another thing that his curse had robbed him of.

Seraph remembered those glorious days that he had spent with his friends and family just enjoying their time with each other. He wished he had spent more time with them now. If he had known his life was going to be so short, he would have lived a lot differently. He had barely even had a taste of all that life had to offer when it was snatched from him. He cursed Mordecai under his breath. Why had he turned him instead of killing him? It would have been so much easier.

Seraph cast a quick spell over himself. He quickly turned his body into vapor. He floated softly against the salty air toward the entrance to the cave. As a vapor he had no skin for the sun to burn, but it still did not feel pleasant so he did not fully leave the cave. If he had had lips in this form, he would have sighed while wishing for his life back again.

While jade played alone in the water and watched her surroundings closely she couldnt help but get the feeling that she was being watched as well. How could one watching everything be getting watched right back? Kind of made no sense but what ever the case was, jade didnt like it. It was like she could feel a dark cand chaotic presence around but not sure of actually where it was.

Jade splashed more water onto herself as the waves continued to toss her slinder body around. She loved the feeling of the water on her skin and the sand between her toes. She swam for a few more minutes alone before finally getting tired of it and walked out of the water to her orignal place on the sand. She say back down and let the sun dry her off as the kids around her played.

One of the balls the kids were playing with came flying at Jade and using her quick reflexes managed to catch the ball before it hit her.

"Nice catch lady" the young kid said as Jade threw the ball back at him. "Thanks" Jade said smiling feeling good about herself as the kid ran off to play with his friends. Jade was not an evil person. She loved kids, and loved life. Seeing a kid loving life with his friends to this exstint is the most beautiful thing that Jade can see. Friendship is a beautiful thing, and it seemed they had it. Let them enjoy life. Let them live their life. Let them enjoy their youth. Let them do..jade thought to herself as she cut herself off closing her eyes and falling asleep on the beautiful beach.

Seraph cursed those who had cursed him. He knew nothing of his undead lineage. He knew nothing of Mordecai's past. Perhaps Mordecai was the original vampire. Perhaps the young pup had a long lineage before Mordecai. He could have a huge family of vampires that had passed on their legacy through their deadly kiss. Seraph could have brothers and sisters scattered throughout the world. If he did he cursed them all for what he was.

Seraph longed to be able to walk out onto the beach and join in the fun with the others, but it was impossible for one such as him. He would surely burn into ashes in a matter of seconds, and his entire body would surely be swept away with the sand of the beaches. The pup was forced to admire the joys of others from a far. He could only envy them and not join in. It might have been better if he had not dwelled on others happiness because it only made him wearier.

Seraph slowly floated back deeper into the cave so he could materialize again. He verbally cursed his whole lineage as he reappeared as his old self. In his anger he thrust his hand toward the back of the cave causing the rocks to be thrown backwards crashing into the back wall and crumbling to pieces. Their crashes echoed through out the cave causing even more of a temper to swell up within the young vampire. He longed to find his peace in this world.
