Walking down the alley way of the old abandoned part of Lomedor Saeborn decided to find a place to stay the night. Trash and leaves swerved around his legs as he walked quickly to the pub to get a room. Cats and dogs ran through the abandoned streets and hid under the homes left suddenly by the townspeople. Nearly 20 feet away from him the was a man dressed in all black with a scroll in his hands. The mans shirt was tattered at the end showing his muscles. Wrapped around his finger was a black leather band the twined themselves up his arms. Saeborn cautiously walked over to the man and said to him in a very sharp tone “What are you doing here!” The man lifted his head and faced the demon and glared at him with giant blue eyes. Finally responding the man said to Saeborn “I have come looking for the demon Saeborn. His father has sent me to look for him and give him this scroll.”. The demon snatched the scroll from the strange man in shock and disbelief that it was from his father. The man lifted his hand towards Saeborn wanting a hand shake and the demon shook his hand. Almost immediately after the hand shake the black leather bands around the mans arm started to glow and fell to the ground. Looking down at the fallen band Saeborn looked back up to see the face of a demon. The other demon looked at Saeborn and said to him “I thank you for releasing me from the grip of your father. The black band let him control me and everything I do.. All of the sudden a man appeared behind him and the demon burst into flames. Seconds later all was black. Saeborn woke up what seemed like to him was the next day and felt a sharp pain in his thigh. Reaching in his pocket to see what it was Saeborn pulled out a scroll and remembered where it was from. The letter shocked him because it was signed by his father. The demons father was supposed to of died shortly before his mother gave birth to him. In the letter it said to meet someone named Griffin in the pub. Quickly picking up his belongings he hurried to the bar. When he reached the bar entrance he noticed a shadowy figure that seemed to be following him. The demon walked inside cautiously and asked for the man he was told to meet. Shortly after asking for Griffin a short and fat man came and handed him another scroll. Unraveling the scroll he read its contents. Inside the scroll were instructions. The instructions said he was supposed to meet someone in the Squaldor Grasslands named Valerik. He quickly recalled the name. They had been best friends before fate had split them up. The next step was to go and kill the giant dragon in the battle stand named Elvarg.
Valerik leaned back in his chair, bringing his arms behind his head. He yawned, moving his hands now in front of his mouth to cover his gaping maw. He leaned forward slightly, his chair still propped back on two legs. His fingers gaped for the edge of his cider glass, fumbling around salt shakers and crumbs on the table until, at last he came to the rim of his glass.
He took a sip, but kept the glass at his lips, taking a long drawn out draught. But suddenly, a dark figure sat in the chair in front of him. Valerik shot his chair down, the glass spilling slightly onto his pants. Valerik coughed, wiping himself free of the liquid. “Why hello!” he said, hoping this person was a paying customer. But the man didn’t respond, merely laying a black scroll onto the table.
Valerik accepted the scroll, inspecting it. He lifted his eyes, starting to ask the meaning of it, but the shadowy man was gone, completely gone from anywhere in the bar. Valerik shook his head, turning his attention to the scroll. He inspected it, and then opened it. A long text spanned from top to bottom, ending in an eloquent signature.
You are to meet Saeborn in Estolad, and help him kill a dragon named Elyverg. If you do not assist my son, he will die. If you appreciate this dear comrade, you will both pay the consequences.
Valerik left the city immediately, mounted his dragon, and flew to the Squaldor Grasslands. Valerik stopped by the nearby town of Estolad, exploring its dark alley’s for any sign of Saeborn. After some investigation, he came upon the demon. Valerik
