Mosha - January 29, 2008 03:46 PM (GMT)
The sun shone above the land with a proud and mighty light. Yet no matter how strong the ray of light tried to pierce the harsh vegetation of the rainforest; light simply didn’t exist. Darkness shaded the humid air in all corners. Trees and vines nibbled their way towards the sky, only to shop short and wrap around other trees. Entering the thick rainforest would be close to impossible from the air. The green body of the forest formed what looked like a leafy like shield. Here and there would be small openings for the rays of light to beam though. One opening in the forest appeared to be a mouth with a twisted smile. None the less this would be the way Mosha could enter.

Soaring above the tall giants of vegetation flew a huge avian. Her white pale wings sliced though the air in grace. Whistles from the wind cooed though her pearl feathers as her brown eyes gazed at the opening below. A small low growl came from her belly up to her beak. Hunger was a merciless need that grappled at her stomach. The wind currents pushed against the white winged body as it flew downwards to the forest. There were smells of familiar foods food that lurched in the mind nothing would stop her from eating. For she had starved in two days looking for just the right opening to enter in. becoming entangled by vines, or flying blindly into something wasn’t her idea of wise.

As she thrust her body towards the ground she instantly felt the high humid of the rainforest. Now besides sunshine all around her, there was darkness all around except the small bit of sun that entered in the opening. The white creature turned her wings and flapped as she landed on what seemed to be solid ground. At first her talons sunk a little but she figured she had stepped into mud. Now where did I smell those bugs at? She though to herself as she felt herself sinking just a little more. The neck of the creature paid attention to her talons as the ‘mud’ crept up just little more. Never had she felt such an odd earth before. It seemed to swallow her up quicker than she could swallow water. What an odd sandy feel it had too.

Left to right she moved her body to escape the sand. Yet the more she moved, the fasted it swallowed and she found her beautiful belly feathers touching the sand. Big brown orbs grew in fear as she found that she was unable to escape. In a desperate last attempt she flapped her wings to get out, but it only spared her a few seconds. Soon her death would come in the form of sand. Heavy breathing began as she panicked but she stood as still as she could, and waited patiently for it to eventually kill her. Thoughts of her life swarmed around, and she felt rather bored of it. These thoughts kept her from hearing the running footsteps in front of her closed eyes.

A speedy yelp echoed as she felt pain of entanglement that felt like a hundred pin needles from a porcupine. Instantly her eyes flew open to find dark skinned men sounding her, using a thorn filled net to pull her out of the sand. Slowly but surely her body pulled away from the sand, but not without the consequences of the thorns piercing her body. Blood trickled down rather fast to the rainforest ground. Mud coated her talons and feathers as she lied on her left side. She felt tired and weak, but still to make out seeing a rather oddly dressed woman in robes.

The woman bored brown feathers in the black locks. She had white markings on her arms and legs as she bore a long green robe. In her right hand she clasped onto a wooden staff, and pointed it at the heavily breathing bird. Words that Mosha couldn’t understand escaped the woman’s mouth as the end of her staff turned a hue of purple. Pain rushed to the bird as she left out a squawk. Twisting her white body Moshe could feel something was happening, and then just as quick as they had appeared, the strangers vanished from sight. Pain had left her, and her eyes felt heavy once more, and sleep called to the bird in the middle of noon

Jade Valdis - February 3, 2008 05:36 PM (GMT)
The tavern was very crappy. Brown and white chairs and tables of the same color was sprawled out everywhere. This tavern had a very bad smell to it. The smell of old man, sweat, and bad cooking mixed together was the only thing one could smell. It was a smell that was nauseating. Stomachs would churn in a horrible way after smelling something as vile as this. The people in the tavern were not very appealing either. Nobody looked warrior like, hell, nobody looked like they could even hold a fork. A room full of pathetic people who were poor and needed help. They could help themselves by getting out of the rancid smelling crap shoot, and get a job.

“Why the hell did I have to meet him here” Jade whispered to herself. She was very well equipped and was not afraid to show it. Her leather armor clinging to her soft skin, and her red undershirt that also stayed snug to her but in a very seductive way. She had on a belt that held her four shurikens, and also three pure silver throwing knives. Her bow was strapped down on her back, and her daggers stayed sheathed on both sides of her belt. Sitting over her belt was a small red skirt like thing. It was meant to cover her weaponry a little bit, but all it did was sit on her slender body in a manor that would make any man turn his head twice to look. Perched on her shoulder was the closest thing to her. His name was Mara which meant bitterness.

-Letsss leave thisss rancid placcce- Mara whispered to Jade in her ear. The little guy was always right before, so why not this time. Who cares, anything was better than being in this stank tavern in the heard of Jade and Mara. “Ok. Lets go” she said turning to leave when she had noticed someone opening the door. A man walked in dress in a dark armor that looked like he was a real warrior. Well, not really, money could buy armor, he just happened to look nice in it.

“What took you so long” jade said tapping her foot lightly impatiently. The man did nothing but stare at her with the worst of looks as he slowly reached in his armor to pull out a scroll and handed it to Jade. The silent assassin took it and opened it only to see a picture of a bird. Who the hell did this man think he was dealing with? He completely insulted her by sending her on a mission to kill a damn bird.

Enraged by the mans blatant disrespect, she threw the scroll to the floor and turned to the door and started to walk. Her little partner Mara turned back at the man and looked him up and down and then pointed his tiny scythe at him, (like it would really do anything)

Quickly reacting the man rushed after jade and put his hands on her shoulder which was the wrong thing to do. Jade stopped as the man started uttering something out of his lips but nothing could be heard for Jade was not listening. She grabbed his hand and latched her hand on his arm. She pulled him using all of her strength and as he fell forward, she lifted her foot backwards and kicked him in the place that hurt men most. After that she clutched his hand and broke three of his fingers and kicked him in the face all with one quick motion.

The mans head crashed head first into the table as it broke and everything fell on top of him. Mara had flew over and grabbed a mug before it hit the man and instead of placing it somewhere else, Mara slammed it into the face of the man. The little trickster just wanted to have a little fun as well.

“Please do this mission for us. We will pay you the price you want. What ever you want.” The man cried out in a world of pain struggling to keep his eyes open. “I will do it if I get paid five times the amount I am being paid now. Deal” the man nodded his head softly as he closed his eyes and rested his body. Jade turned and opened the door as Mara stayed laughing. She took a quick glance back at the poor man. “Some people in nice armor happen to be good fighters. Some people just look well in armor and try to make people think they are tough. Your not tough. Don’t play tough. Ladies don’t like that.” She said blowing a kiss at the man and walking out of the tavern.

The person in which Jade was ordered, well not ordered, but urged was in the rainforest of some place with a really hard name. Things just cant be named simply could they. Everything has to have some super large and hard name for no reason.

Whatever! It took three days to get to the rainforest. Now that she was at the spot in the forest she needed to look for a….bird…she felt comfortable. She checked her equipment once more and then set out to find this bird. She wouldn’t leave the forest until the bird was found. Hopefully the damn thing gets found soon for this place was incredibly boring. But at least she had Mara for company. “Lets do this” jade said as she started her search of the forest.

Mosha - February 5, 2008 05:40 PM (GMT)
After an hour of the black out of the big white bird, the fingertips of sunlight didn’t peak though the opening of the forest. Laid in darkness was a pile of white feathers that looked grey in the shadows. Along the trees hopped bright red, purple and yellow frogs as they paid no heed to the pile. Many poisonings animals walked the floors and many were fast asleep only to awaken after night fall. Snakes slept in the cold yet humid forest, and many sounds were still. A few hours ago the pile of feathers could understand words that came from many of the birds, but now it seemed like endless chirps and whistles. Quietly a moan left the pile, as it stirred awake.

Light brown shining spears fluttered open reveling worry in them. The pile of feathers hadn’t one idea what had happened. There was one vision in those brown jewels that she last remembered. A woman in a robe came to her mind and a glow of purple from her staff. What had the woman done to the bird, Mosha hadn’t known just yet. Something inside her rumbled, and as she tried to move her right wing to rub her stomach, a pale feeling came in contact to another smooth touch. Fear shot into her heart as she could feel the feathers on her belly nor could she feel the feathers on her wing.

Inside the pile of feathers was a new body, a human body that caused Mosha to panic. Quickly she sat up on her bottom side as the cloak of feathers hid her body and kept her warm. Moving her limps like a snake under the cloak, she found two arm holes that she slipped though. Out of the arm holes, she moved her hands and arms like they were strangers. An odd look came on her face as the two pale noodles like limbs moved in the air. She couldn’t believe that she had human limbs, and she quickly pondered if she had anything else that appeared on a human. Looking under her cloak, she found her legs and other parts such as a belly that she never had before. No more talons or feathers. Against her back were locks of black down to her hips.

Still in shock she found her fingertips to her face as she smoothed over the rosy cheeks. Darker came a red glow to her cheeks as she blushed while she touched her nose. There was no longer a beak, just a pure normal face of a pale lady. Slightly a shudder left her body as her same eyes gazed around the tall trees and vines around her. No one was around, yet she did remember the direction of where the woman in the robe left to. “I need to get to her,” she grunted in common tongue, also unaware of that fact. “So she can fix this,” she spoke with hope in her voice, no longer in squawks or whistles, but in a smooth soft voice of maturity. Instinct told her having this body was very wrong, ever time she tries to move her wings, the two noodle arms moved instead.

Never had she seen a human fly, so this experience wouldn’t be pleasurable. She loved to fly, and she felt sadness flow in her heart. Slowly she moved into a squat to pull herself up to stand up. As soon as her body jerked up, gravity pushed her back down like a violent thunderstorm. Pain stung in her newly found tailbone as she hit the wet ground. Tears of shame swelled up in her eyes as she tried to pull herself up once more. It wasn’t the pain that caused her tears, no she felt less then a bird without her wings or proud talons. Yet maybe this body would bring her closer to humans then she had been as a bird; but those thoughts weren’t running in her mind. Quickly she found pain again as her tailbone met the earth once more as her knees buckled once again.

Finally she figured that the only way to move was to crawl, how it embarrassed her. Then she went on all fours and wondered what in the world embarrassment was. Never had she felt so flushed and drained. Although she felt tired, the hour she got passed out she felt able to carry herself towards the path the lady in robes took. When one hand moved, the knee followed until she moved towards a tree. It took three minutes to get to the tree, and already she felt weak. Her left hand held tightly on the base of the thin tree, and pulled herself up on both legs. Panting, she stood there in her gray looking feather covered cloak in the shadows. Right now she could bear to take another step, no crawl; she would stand there until another burst of energy came towards her.

“What the hell are we exactly looking for” Mara said as he flew round the trees quickly. Jade couldn’t help but laugh and smile at her shadow companion for he was the closest thing to her. The little fella was no where near powerful, but there was a certain kind of confidence he gave her when he was around that she could never earn on her own. Going around to different places with Mara was a beautiful thing, and just as much as she loved his company, he loved hers back for he never wanted to leave.

“This is a good amount of money for us.” Jade said as she jumped from one tree to another with a sense of gracefulness. She glided through the air displaying nothing short of beauty. She outstretched her long legs each jump and gently glided to the next tree as the cool breeze brushed against her body and flew through her hair. She would land with a soft thud then jump once again with the same grace and beauty as the jump before if not better. “Besides, with this money we can buy you a nice set of toys.” Jade said laughing at her little friend as he ran into a tree branch on that joke.

He was a little clumsy thing, but he was her best friend. He meant the world to her and it was always good to have him around on missions like these were finding something is hard and company was a must unless you wanted to go temporarily insane. Jumping from one tree to another, having the sense of freedom in her, and being in good company had completely made Jade forget what she was hunting. All she knew was that it was white but what exactly it was she forgot, and she had unfortunately threw away the bounty paper the pathetic man gave her at the tavern.

Time went by fast as Jade and Mara talked to each other the entire time. They had finally gotten tired and decided to pitch a tent but soon realized that they forgot theirs. This was turning into a bad mission. Mara had decided to stay awake and protect Jade, by waking her up when danger came…how nice he was…

Jade fell asleep up in a tree as Mara flew around a bit before getting tired himself. He finally gave in and tucked himself close to Jade as he buried himself into her chest and fell asleep. The two of them seemed to have a small connection with each other for they dreamt the same dream, being together on an island, retired, rich, and beautiful. Oh how they wished that it would come true, but only time will tell how that wish would play out.

Jade awoke as morning hit, the light shining brightly on the two of them. “Fell asleep to huh. I don’t blame you Mara.” Jade said as she kissed him on his tiny head and placed him in her shirt so that he could sleep further. Jade then stood up, collected her small items like her bow and daggers and throwing knives and set out once again, but this time on the forest floor where she could walk softly and silently. Not for the thing they were trying to kill sake, but for Mara’s sake.

Jade walked for only a few moments before he came upon something in a small clearing ahead. It looked human but then again, it had things protruding out of it. She was still too far to fully tell what exactly it was but she began a full stride towards it once she realized it was white.

“Mara! Get up.” Jade said as she unsheathed her dagger into one hand. Mara just shuffled in her chest and then seemed to just roll over and stay sleep. “Fine..sleep. I can handle this.” She said as she leapt to the nearest tree and scaled it within three seconds flat. Jade perched herself in the tree as she came to find that the figure was actually human, but seemed odd when she tried to walk but didn’t, instead she crawled herself to a tree. That was really odd.

Just as the woman hit the tree, Mara woke up and poked out. “Theres a woman down there” Jade said as Mara quickly flew out of her shirt. “Lets get her then” Mara said as two dark orbs appeared in front of him. They were very tiny, and when he shot them they went nowhere, but he went flying into the nearest tree rattling it loudly and scaring away a few birds. “Be quiet.” Jade said as she let out a small giggle and smiled as she jumped down from the tree as it was clear their position was compromised.

Jade landed a few yards away from the woman. As a way to show she meant no harm she tucked her hands behind her back. She showed the dagger but tucked it away too, but she didn’t sheath it though. Can never be too careful. Mara flew down to Jade and sat on her shoulder and gave out a small demonic giggle as he stared at the woman. “Be nice Mara.” Jade said as she let a devilish smile of her own appear on her face. Jade knew the thing that she had to assassinate was white, and this lady had white things, but Jade could have sworn it was an animal. Maybe this woman killed it first?

“Have you seen any large animal out here lady, and are you hurt in any way?” jade said being mindful that this lady was not to be fully trusted just yet. How the lady would respond to those two questions would determine of Jade would have fun with another kill to add to her list, or if helping this lady would be a thing that she could add to her list of good deeds. Lets find out.

Mosha - March 6, 2008 04:49 AM (GMT)
Grace was the last thing the pale lady was as she clung at the tree bark for dear life. Her whole left side slouched against the tree, and slowly both knees began to buckle. The pressures of these new sets of legs were burdensome. However shaking the lady was, her face shone with a tired look of attractiveness. Brightly her eyes sparkled in the dull light, while her eye lids were half shut. Soon when what she thought was energy came, she rose only to sink closer to the tree, her body ached. Horrible the pale body in the white feathered cloak ached as if a dozen orcs had slammed body with hammers. No bruises were found on her body, but the pain was still there.

Shallow breaths echoed rabidly out of the exsusted woman. Louder then her breath she head a voice. Mosha hadn’t even looked up, or even noticed the woman near here. Everything was so confusing. Yet as painful as it was, the woman in white forced her neck to move upwards, and meet the lady’s eyes. No signs of danger were processed though the gaze of the other lady. The new colored vision became blurred until her brown eyes eventually evened out. Words entered her ears, but of course she felt that she still couldn’t communicate with those with common tongue.

What’s the use in talking, she wont be able to understand me, she thought as she sighed. Giving up the new feat of walking, the lady bent down to the ground, and softly sat against the tree. Stress from gravity left her, and a faint smile bore on her face. Once more she looked at the lady who had some strange shadow looking figure on her person. What could it hurt? She thought again while mustering up the courage to find the words to speak. The first question was something odd. It hadn’t accured to her that maybe this lady was hunting a big animal. Since Mosha never once thought of herself as a large animal, nor did she spot any, her answer was simple. “Not recently no.”

Moving her head back down to her body, she examined herself more. Thick black locks of hair hung on her shoulders. The raven locks were damp from the rainforest humidity. Soon she answered the other question, “This body goes undamaged, but I am very weak. Strangers have drained my energy, my soul, along with other things.” The lady who once was a bird looked up again at the woman with lost brown eyes. Her voice was distant and sad. In her mind she doubted that the lady understood what she thought was avian tongue. Little did Mosha know that she spoke common flaunty.
