Mooshie ambled through the open grasslands, his head turning in all directions, trying to get his barings. These grasslands were so very big, and he had no idea of knowing where he was. His little feet were getting tired too, from all this walking. He had been traveling for quite a few days. He had heard a pretty lady refer to the ocean as "A paradise," and "A place she would spend forever at."
That would surely mean that Edgar would be there! Edgar was his former owner who had gone on a very long vacation so he could stop being sick.
So Mooshie walked for hours and hours out of every day, but he had sadly gotten very lost in the grasslands. It was just a lot of grass! He decided he needed to take a rest, so he sat down in the middle of the grass, resting on his tummy. He was going to try to get a little nap, but he was interupted by someone sniffing him. He didn't open his eyes, he just giggled, and pawed at the thing...Wait..It had a wet nose..Was it Hattie?
Mooshie opened his eyes and saw a huge grey wolf standing in front of him, looking curiously at him."Why hello there Mister Wet Nose! How are you on this fiiiine day?" Mooshie smiled at him. The wolf cocked it's head, as if in thought, and then put one paw forward, and bared it's sharp scary looking teeth.
"I am sorry Mister Wet Nose but I am not a dentist! You'll have to go find someone else to clean those pointy teeth!" Mooshie laid back down as if attempting to sleep. The wolf responded by growling fiercely. "What is it Mister Wetnose?" Mooshie said opening one eye. The wolf let out a loud howl and hit Mooshie with it's paw, and reared back, readying to bite him.
"AHHHH!!! Help me!!!! I Don't wanna be a dentist!" cried Mooshie, hoping someone would hear him. He covered the top of his head with his paws, so the wolfie couldn't see him.
Nofurye looked at the white clouds screening his eyes from the world below, knowing that the only things underneath them were plains of grass and a few scattered forests. He had been flying for awhile now, set to the task of travelling from Lake Aelin to Lomedor without stopping. He had to hone his ability if he wanted to be a true lightbringer, for evil would not be destroyed through words. He had also been involved in many swordsmanship exercises, yet that was slow progress as he wasn't naturally skilled in combat. He had almost perfected his flying style, which was very handy for him because there were few evil monsters that could fly. There were a lot of Fallen Angels flying around these days, yet they could be taken care of with a bit of magic. It was the dragons he worried about, they were nasty creatures and he wouldn't be able to defeat them on his own.
But fortunately he had gained a few more friends in the form of Keepers; the holiest guild in Arda forming up once more. He had made friends with the old and the new, but one thing for sure was that if he came across a dragon they would come to his aid. That was why the Keepers of the Sacred Deed were such a good guild to be involved with, they were extremely reliable and honourable to each of there members. Nofurye thought on this as he glided the air currents and dodged a pigeon that was flying the other way. His wings held a lot of strength and he was more than capable enough to fly all the way to Lomedor.
The sun was extremely warm, sweat dripping from his brow and falling like rain. He had to descend below the cloud screen, although he found looking at clouds more interesting than grass, the colour of white way more appealing. But the heat made him uncomfortable, and he wanted this trip to be as comfortable as possible. No point getting sunburnt and having to endure the pain for several hours. So the angel rode the wind downwards, below the thick cover of clouds and towards cooler air. The fog parted as he dived through it, Nofurye breaking a hole through the wall and continuing downwards.
He looked at the grasslands below, just in case there was something interesting, which there rarely was. He could see grass, more grass and a black and white dot that was being approached by a grey slither. Now that was something worth seeing. The holy angel detracted his wings and nosedived towards the scene, which was several kilometres below. Once he was close enough to hear the dot speak, he let his angelic glory unfold by spreading his wings and gliding in circles.
"Why hello there Mister Wet Nose! How are you on this fiiiine day?"
Oh no, it appeared as though some sentient animal with the intelligence of a child was being tormented by a wolf. But then again, it could be a good thing. He checked to see if his sword was still strapped to his belt and continued to circle, looking down towards the dangerous scene as it unfolded.
"I am sorry Mister Wet Nose but I am not a dentist! You'll have to go find someone else to clean those pointy teeth!"
The wolf was becoming more aggressive as time wore on, baring his teeth and growling at the magical creature.
"What is it Mister Wetnose?"
The wolf hit the sentient with its paw, howling as it jumped back and prepared to bite. Rye knew that now was the time to save this poor creature, unsheathing his sword and gliding down towards the aggressor. The wolf was quite large, yet it wouldn't take much to send it running.
The angel surprised the poor thing by gliding extremely close to the ground and slicing the hungry wolves back with the tip of his crude longsword. The creature crouched down, squealing with terror as it noticed the large bird like creature turning round to attack once more. It didn't look twice, spinning the other way and bolting across the desolate land. It wouldn't come back, the shock of its attacker too much for one day. The sentient creature that Rye had saved was shaking, traumatised by the narrow escape. He had his paws planted on his eyes, oblivious to what had just happened. The angel had to see if it was alright, even if it did mean his mission was a failure.
He landed on the ground infront of the poor thing, sheathing his sword and noticing a blood spatter on his robe.
"Hello there, it's safe to open your eyes. The wolf has gone."
Nofurye didn't want to get too close, standing back a few metres just incase this thing was more dangerous than it first appeared. It could be a dangerous sorcerer, you just never knew with these things. The angels silver hair was messed up, tussled by the wind and his robe looked stretched and unkempt. But his appearance would mean nothing to the little creature, for his wings were the only thing that attracted attention.
((Sorry if the post seems sloppy, it was rushed and I didn't have time to proofread. I hope it's good enough for the cute little bear.))
Mooshie stayed there, covering his eyes and whimpering loudly. He waited for the inevitable strike, and the sinking of teeth, but it didn't come. Mooshie heard a loud squealing and heard the pitter patter of paws running off in the other direction. Could it be? Was he safe from being the wolfie's dentist?
"Hello , it's safe to open your eyes. The wolf has gone." a voice said. Mooshie slowly took one paw off of his right eye, and looked up at his helper. It was an angel! He had wings and a big sword! Mooshie took his other paw off his other eye, and stood up on all fours. "Why hello there Mister Flappy Flap Angel! Thank you so so sooooooo much for saving me! I thoughts I was a goner!"
Mooshie walked up to the angel and sniffed him, a way of greeting for him.
"So Mr Flappy Flap, what is your name? My Name is Mooshie!" Mooshie cracked a wide grin.
" Is it very much funs being an angel? You can fly and helps people and everything! That must be loads of fun!" Mooshie tried to imagine what the ground looked like from the sky, Pandas and people would probably look like ants!
Mooshie looked up in to the angel's face. He seemed very friendly, perhaps he could even help Mooshie! "Mr Flappy flap, will you helps me please? Pretty please with chocolates on top? I have been traveling for soooooooo many days, because I am trying to get to the big blue ocean! I heard it is big and blue and a perfect place for a vacation, so I think my owner might very much likely be there!" Mooshie felt his heart swell up with joy at the idea of seeing his best friend Edgar again. They could have all sorts of adventures again!
"But I has a problem Mr Flappy Flap..." Mooshie said. " I am very lost! I can not find my way around this very biggerest grassland. It is soooo big, and it is all just grass. I could go for days just wanderings around here, but I don't think i could ever find the oceans!" Mooshie made a sad pouty face and said "Mr Flappy Flap, could you please please help me get to the ocean? I would appreciates it oh so much! Maybe even Edgar could give you a gift for helping me..."
Mooshie looked at the angel and made a very sad pouty face. "Pleaseeee......"
