Mooshie Bear - January 21, 2008 02:07 AM (GMT)
It was a nice warm day, the gentle winds creating gentle movements of Lake Aelin. The sky was mostly clear, with a few clouds darting the deep blue, and a bright sun shining. Sleeping behind a tree stump was a rather chubby panda cub. He lay on his stomach, sprawled with his paws out in front of him. A small fly landed on Mooshie's nose, and he raised his paw and hit himself on the nose, but missed the fly. His eyes slowly opened, and he let out a yawn that stretched his mouth. He plopped up on to his feet, and in turn stretched out each one of his legs, wiggling it a little.

He had slept rather late, it must already be kinda late in the day, since the sun was a little high in the sky. He walked over to the lakeside, and looked down at his reflection in the water. "Hi water panda!" he said. "How are you mister? " He loved how the panda in the water mimicked all of his movements, even moving his mouth when Mooshie did. "Can you talks by yourself?" he asked. He grumbled a little as the panda bear again mimicked him and then was quiet.

Mooshie dipped his head in to the lake and lapped up some of the water with his tongue, wetting his rather dry mouth. He took his paws and licked them, and then ran them over his head attempting to clean it sort of like a hampster would.

"What can I do today?" he asked water panda. "Well my tummy says he wants food..." Mooshie answered feeling his stomach grumble. He felt a presence, as if someone were there and looking at him, and he tried to stand up on his hindpaws and look around. "Who's there?OOF!" He tumbled to the ground as he had tried to turn on his hindpaws, he wasn't very coordinated.

"Hello? I knows you're there! Come out come out wherever you are!"

Hattie - January 21, 2008 02:59 AM (GMT)
Curled up on top of a natural bed of grasses – the most luxurious in the world - why did those silly humans bother with such odd materials? – Hattie lay idly as her sleepy eyes flicked from tree to tree, trying and failing to discover anything that could hold her attention for more than three seconds; a little nest of baby blue jays almost seemed to do it, but a passing butterfly distracted her at the end. Deciding to lift her lazy form up off her resting spot, she began to wander around aimlessly, content to simply drink in the sheer beauty of the nature around her.

Deciding to go get a drink of the crystal-clear water that the lake so freely offered, Hattie veered to the right suddenly, making a beeline for the lake. But, of course, she lost all thought of drinking when an unfamiliar – and slightly exotic – scent wafted its way over to Hattie’s tender pink nose. Curious, she padded her way over to the strange scent, mewing softly and wondering what other creature had decided to enjoy this beautiful day by the serene and tranquil lake.

“Wha – Owwie!” squealed Hattie as her nose bounced off something suddenly, causing her to stumble backwards in surpise.

The high-pitched outburst was not of pain – it felt as if she’d walked into a soft, puffy marshmallow – but simply of shock. In the next second, she had shaken it off and sniffing at this strange thing curiously. It was a cute little…Thing. It resembled a bear – a teddy bear – but it obviously wasn’t. What…was it? For all her travels, Hattie had never come across such an animal, though she immediately took a fancy to its cuteness and soft and innocent expression. It could be a new friend!

“HI! I’m Hattie!” blurted out the orange she-cat without thinking.

Mooshie Bear - January 21, 2008 04:48 PM (GMT)
As Mooshie was laying on his back after falling, he heard a gentle mewing sound. Then he felt a strange sensation. Something bumped in to him! It had been a rather small animal he judged, and he turned, and saw what it had been. It was a small orange kitty! Mooshie loved kitties, they were small and cute, and they seemed very smart. Mooshie remembered that one time his old owner had a pet cat, he always tried to talk to it like he would master, but the kitty never said anything.

The kitty was sniffing him, Mooshie laughed as her whiskers tickled him. The cat seemed to be unsure as to who or what Mooshie was. Then the amazing thing happened! The kitty spoke! It said that it's name was Hattie.

Mooshie moved and sat up, examining the kitty. The kitty talked! She was a talky animal just like him. "Hello Hattie! My name is Mooshie the panda!" Mooshie stood up on his legs and attempted to sniff Hattie like she had done to him, it looked kind of weird, a panda sniffing a cat.

"It's amazing that you can talk Hattie! I've seen kitties before that were never able to talk, you must be veeeery special!" He giggled and laid down on his stomach, smiling at Hattie. "Your the first animal other than me that I've ever seen that was able to talk, and you seem very friendly. Would you like to be friends with me?" He smiled at her, holding out his paw as if to shake hands like his master used to do.

Just then Mooshie felt another rumbling in his stomach. He groaned at the hunger that was gnawing at him. He was just a baby panda, so he needed to eat a lot! "Misses Hattie?" he asked. "Do you know where we could get something tasty to eat? I could really go for some giant green leaves."

Hattie - January 21, 2008 06:52 PM (GMT)
Giving an amused mrrow, Hattie allowed herself to be sniffed by the black and white little panda – whatever that was. It seemed very friendly, the sage kitty realized, as she patted curiously at his puffy fur. It was nice to find another one like her – or as close to her as she could hope to find; it wasn’t as though Hattie couldn’t make friends, seeing as she could charm her way into anyone’s heart, but it just wasn’t the same. Humans and elves and everyone else seemed only to like her because she was “cute” or something like that. Not that Hattie didn’t appreciate it – she loved the attention and cuddling, in fact – but it was still a warm, pleasant feeling to not be looked down upon. So to speak.

“Aww…Thanks a lot, Mooshie!” she squealed, modestly self-conscious at his enthusiastic praise, pawing at the ground embarrassedly. But then she daintily lifted it, batting at the proffered paw gently, unable to grip it. Finally, she gave up, deciding to wrap her super-dexterous tail around the paw instead, giving him a tail-shake.

“Mooshie the Panda? Well, I’m pleased to meet you!” she mewed theatrically, “I’d love to be friends! We can do everything together! Like play and have tea parties and explore and stuff! And – What? Oh, you’re hungry?...Leaves?...Um, that sounds weird, but I wanna try! Do you know where we can find some?”

Curious as to what kind of food this panda ate, Hattie let Mooshie take the lead, so that he would show her where to find these leaves. As she hummed a soft melody under her breath, she wondered if the leaves would be sweet. After all, Hattie just absolutely loved trying new foods, but sugary ones in particular. Yay!

Mooshie Bear - January 21, 2008 07:43 PM (GMT)
Hattie thanked Mooshie with a loud voice, and then seemed to act weird. She pawed at the ground..Did she see a bug on the ground? Or perhaps an invisble mousey. She hit Mooshie's paw with her own paw, and Mooshie realised that neither of them had human paws with the bendy things on the ends, so they wouldn't be able to handshake. Hattie had it covered though, thanks to her super flexible bendy tail! Mooshie let out a laugh at the weird touch of Hattie's tail, but shook it none the less. It was like a cross between a bone and flesh. He had a tail too! But it was more like a ball of fluff...

It seemed she was happy to meet him, and she would be his friend! "Thank you very much for being my friend!" said Mooshie. "I don't know what a tea part is..But I would love to explore with you. Yes, I am hungry, I can show you what kind of food I eat if you want!" he said. He turned around, and began walking towards the trees and bushes in the distance. He looked for a second, to make sure Hattie was following him, and then he broke in to a kind of a run.

He stopped several hundred feet later in front of a small plant with greenish grown leaves which were humongous. The leaves were attached to a kind of green stalk and it made the impression to Mooshie of a boney chocolate tree. Mooshie sniffed it for a few second, and then ripped one of the leaves off with his mouth, chewing it for about half a minute before swallowing. Not only did it look like choclate, but it also tasted like chocolate! It was a plant that Mooshie's old owner had showed him back in the day.

"You should try some." said Mooshie as he turned to Hattie. "It tastes super terrificly good! Yes it does!"

Hattie - January 21, 2008 08:12 PM (GMT)
Trotting over after the excited panda baby, Hattie made sure she went slow and steady – didn’t want the wind blowing off her beloved hat! – even as she felt her own excitement buzzing through her paws, eager to be set free. But after a few seconds, she decided to just let loose and race like the wind. As expected, the little kitty’s witch hat was blown off almost immediately, though she quickly snapped the brim of the weathered and raggedy hat – though careful not to tear it – and kept up the pace, pounding besides Mooshie in this joyful run.

“This is fun! Wheeeeeeeeeee!” she shrieked, loving the wind against her face. Soon, however, the run came to an end, but it was just as well; the orange cat was beginning to tire, as this was so soon after her catnap. Curiously and warily at once, she watched Mooshie delightedly chomp down on the strange plant. She figured that if it brought her furry friend such joy, she just had to give it a try! Eagerly she snapped off a huge leaf, shoving it non-too-elegantly into her mouth, and almost gagged at the intense flavor. She’d expected something soft and soothing, not such a shocking burst of sweetness! Luckily the surprise immediately died away, leaving nothing but the pleasing, chocolate taste.

“Mmmph…This thastes great!” she mumbled enthusiastically though a mouthful of leaf.

“Thyis is what you eat all the thyme? “ she asked, while trying to chew the leaf into smaller pieces, as it was clogging up her entire mouth.

Mooshie Bear - January 21, 2008 08:44 PM (GMT)
Mooshie watched Hattie as she began to eat the leaf. It seemed like she didn't like it at first, but her face settled and she announced she liked it in a happy voice. "Yes it does taste very good.." said Mooshy with a smile. He bit another leaf off of the plant and chewed it up delightfully. It was a rather tough leaf, and it took a while to eat, but that was ok, because it made the experience even more pleasant to Mooshy. He could tell Hattie was having a bit more trouble though. "I forgot it must be hard to chew when you have such a small mouth." he said.

"I wish I could eat these yummies all the time." said Mooshy. "But I don't see these plants very much, they mostly grow around the water." He took another bite of leaf, and sighed happly as he chewed it. "Sho Hattie..." He said with a full mouth. "Wry exactly..." He swallowed. "Do you wear that top hat, it's kinda funny to see a cat wearing a hat!" He smiled at her, he didn't mean it as an insult, rather he was just curious.

"I need to get myself some clothes." he said. "Maybe a scarf and some sockies." He took yet another mouthful of leaves, he was very hungry a lot, so it was no wonder he was so pudgy, That was ok though, all Pandas were pudgy!

"So Missus Hattie." he said when he was done chewing. "Where did you learn how to talk? I used to have a very best human friend who taught me how to talk one day. Now he's off on a big vacation for a loooong time. So he told me to make lots of friends!"

It was probably for the better that Mooshie was naive about his owner's death, otherwise his innocence might be corrupted. "Did you ever have a best human friend?" he asked Hattie.

Hattie - January 21, 2008 09:05 PM (GMT)
There was a pause of a quite a few seconds – a significant chunk of time for Hattie – as she struggled with the resilient plant, holding out as if consciously trying to avoid consumption. Choking down the last little bit, Hattie reluctantly decided not to have any more of the rubbery plant – the energy just wasn’t worth it. But she immediately perked up again, finally breaking the silence.

“My mouth’s not small!” she squealed, giving him a big lick on his check as if to prove her point.

“Oh, no. I’ve never been best friends with a human. They’re so fussy and weird! I stay with them sometimes, but they always coop me up so much! Nah…My best friend is my hat here! He’s been with me since…like…forever! I don’t remember where I got it but I wouldn’t trade it for all the candy in the world! Oh…But you can be my best friend too if you want!”

Poking a paw into the panda’s gut – it felt like plush – she giggled and told him “You’re a little chubby!” though she too clearly meant no insult. Laughing softly, the little kitty sprawled herself out on the comfy grass ground as she stretched out her muscles. It really was a great day – it seemed the all the days were like this lately. A very promising sign. It seemed that the Circle of Life was flourishing in the lands of Arda, despite the fact that a dark shroud of war had so cloaked its moon.

Wait. What? Where had that long spiel come from? Confused, Hattie shook the dark thoughts out of her head, confused. The thought had come in the same voice as the one that whispered the spells to her – all in her mind of course. Deciding not to question the workings of her mind on her playdate, she asked the subject on her mind.

“Do you like magic? I think its fun!”

Mooshie Bear - January 21, 2008 09:32 PM (GMT)
Mooshie had eaten quite a few leaves by the time Hattie had finished her own. She yelled that her mouth wasn't small, and he giggled as she licked his cheek, it tickled. "Yes it is..." he said, sticking his tounge out. Then he listened to her talk about humans. "A lot of humans are likes that I guess." said Mooshie. "I don't know, I thinks I likes the attention! It makes me happys to be around friendly people. My owner never cooped me ups either, we always went out for long walks in nature. It was a super fun life!" He turned to the bush, debating whether or not to eat another leaf, but decided that he was full.

Hattie said her best friend was a hat, that was interesting. "That's super coolrific!" he said. "And thank you very much for being my best friend toos! I gets kinda lonely without my owner." He laid down on his back and rested his belly. Then Hattie poked his tummy, and told him he was a little chubby, which oddly made Mooshie smil. "I am very prouds of my belly!" he said. "Lots of people seem to like it, they always poke it and rub their faces against it." he said.

Mooshie sat there peacefully rubbing his belly, not a care on his mind. He wasn't reallt knowledgable about the troubles of the world. To him the world was just a gigantic playground. He would sleep peacefully at night, and forage for food and friends during the day. He would have fun without worrying about getting in trouble, life was good for Mooshie.

Hattie asked him if he liked magic, and Mooshie was forced to stop staring at the clouds and finding super terrific shapes. "Magic..." he said, the word sounding vaguely familiar. "Is that when you make super cool stuff happen that doesn't seem possible? If so then yes, my owner used to make all his stuff dance for us, and hed make big pictures appear that would talk and seemed so reals, but they would disapear as soon as I touched them!"

Hattie - January 21, 2008 10:19 PM (GMT)
“Yeah! Magic really is fun!” agreed Hattie with enthusiasm as she nodded her head. The orange kitty’s ears then pricked up when she heard Mooshie’s vivid description of his experience with magic.

“Your friend was a mage…?” murmured the cat, though she already knew the (obvious) answer. But that wasn’t what had caught her attention anyways – it was his talk of illusions. That was the spell she was best with! Eager to show off her magical prowess to her new-found friend, she theatrically got up off her belly, flicking her tail.

“Pictures, huh? You mean like…this?”

Then, flamboyantly, she sucked in a deep breath – though she inhaled the natural world’s mana as well as air - and swished her tail with a little giggle. Then slowly, magically, the air behind her became hazy, not with fog but the kitty’s magic a work, drawing a picture in the air, rearranging the very particles of the atmosphere to change its color. Then, slowly, despite the fact that she could have achieved the spell with much greater haste, the blob of rainbow colors took shape, forming the image of a small signboard, apparently hanging on nothing.

It was an ornate square of wood, with sides of about three feet long, a light oaken color. Around the border of the wood – it would have cost quite a hefty sum of gold had it been real – was a perfect border of shining, perfectly-spherical jewels of every imaginable color. The focus of the illusion, however was the parchment covering most of the wooden panel, crisp with newness. Scrawled fancily in flashing neon colors were the words “ Hi,Mooshie!!

Mooshie Bear - January 21, 2008 10:47 PM (GMT)
Hattie seemed interested in Mooshies fun times with his owner. She asked if he was a mage, and Mooshie had to think about it. "He wasn't a mage really, no, but he did know lots of magicky spells! What did he call himself...." He thought, it was something long and complicated. He squinted his eye and thought longer, what was it..."Aha! It was a Bestmeister! Thats what he was called!" Mooshie nodded enthusiastically. "He was friends with all the Bests! He said some people even refered to him as the meister!"

His head stopped moving and he became quiet as Hattie stood up. "Pictures, huh? You mean like...this?" she said. Mooshie grew excited and patted the ground in anticipation. Was she going to do the trick his owner guy used to do? Hattie made quite a funny face then, puffing up her cheeks and Mooshie had to laugh. He looked in the air as the air went all funny. "What's going on?!" he said. He watched in amazement as the air took on the form of a very nice looking square wood thingie. It had shinies all around the outside and in the middle were some very colorful scribbles.

"Wow, thats amazing!" cheered Mooshie. "It's very pretty, but what are those rainbow colored scribbles in the middle?" He gazed at the "scribbles" in contemplation, obviously not being able to read. He had seen those scribbles before somewhere though... His owner had said they meant words! It was very strange to Mooshie though, how could scribbles mean words? Weren't words words, the things that came out of your mouth when you made them?

"Hattie, its is very terrific, but I don't know what it means, could you tell me what those scribbles mean? My owner promised to show me but then he went off on vacation.."

Hattie - January 22, 2008 12:38 AM (GMT)
Oh. Oops. Mooshie can’t read?

“Sorry. I thought you could read.” she said simply. Embarrased, Hattie quickly explained antiquewhite] “It says “Hi, Mooshie!” Magic isreally awesome, isn’t it? It can do everything! But that’s the only thing I can do. I have a little voice thing in my head that tells me spells, but this is the only one I can understand, pretty much. Oh well.

It’s a great day today, isn’t it? That’s why I decided to come to the lake. I like this lake. I like the ocean too. Do you like oceans? Anyways, I just like water. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because there’s so much life and happiness around it? Anyways, the ocean is fun but I just didn’t feel like going that far today, and the lake’s fun to play near too!”

Obviously transitioning back to her usual chatty self – right now she was still kinda sleepy – the hat-wearing cat decided she’d had a little more of that leaf plant thing – just a little taste, to remember what it was like. Grabbing the tip of one of the edges, she clumsily tried to rip the rubbery leaf off, coating her paws in a slightly-sticky goo. Failing, Hattie ended up taking half the leaf off. Giggling as she tried to free herself from the glue-like secretion, she shoved the leaf into her mouth and licked her paws clean/

“Hey, Mooshie? Where ‘o you live? I like the grasslands, but I live pretty much everywhere. I travel a lot. You should come with me some time. It’ s always so much fun! Sometimes people get mad at me, but I can tell they’re laughing on the inside anyways. I mean…I think they’re not really mad…But its still lots of fun.”

Mooshie Bear - January 22, 2008 10:09 PM (GMT)
Mooshie was fascinated that his name could be put in to those scribbles, it was just amazing that something he could see something that he thought was only hearable. He looked at the scribbles, trying to memorise them, but not knowing the concept of letters, he quickly gave up, because he knew he'd never remember.

Then Hattie started talking..alot. He got a little confused trying to keep up with her, she was saying something about water. She must like water! Of course who didn't like water?

"I love water too!" he said. " It is scrumdiddlyumptious! I drink lots and lots til my tummy is full!" He smiled with the biggest smile he could at Hattie. The magic talking kittie was now attempting to eat another of the yummy chocolate leaves. Mooshie wanted to eat another one, but he knew his stomach was way too full. Instead he just listened to Hattie talk again, this time with a full mouth.

She asked Mooshie where he lived, and told him about how she lived all over the place, moving all around just like him. He wondered what the grasslands were, wasn't everywhere a grassland?! There was grass almost everywhere....Then Miss Hattie told Mooshie that he should go on an adventure with her, and Mooshie's head popped up in excitement. She said that it was fun being around humans, and that Humans sometimes got frowny faces that weren't real.

"Miss Kitty Hattie" he said. " I would most definitely love to travel with you! We should go on adventures! I don't remember much about the big people places, other than the noise, but I guess I can try to go there with you ! We can have lots of fun!!!!"

Hattie - January 26, 2008 02:41 AM (GMT)
“Yeah!”

Feeling Mooshie’s contagious enthusiasm bubbling into her, the orange kitty gave up on the sticky mess she had been attempting to eat, feeling the need to go explore new lands right now. She began to pace in circles around her chubby little friend – it was the only way to burn off some of her excess energy that she could think of – while beginning to talk again in her amazingly fast and high-pitched mew.

“Oh! Let’s go right now! Please! There’s so many paces where we can play! And we can do everything! Like we could, uh…” -Hattie paused for a second as she let her brain catch up to her voice – “I know! We could go to the ocean! That would be fun! An ocean is like the lake, ‘cept more ginormous! And there’s big waves that try and pull you into the ocean and get you all soggy! I don’t like being wet. ‘Cause it’s cold and I feel like I weigh a million pounds! But you must already be a gazillion pounds…” she teased as she prodded Mooshie’s tubby little belly again. It was so soft, like a pillow!

“Ooh! Or we could explore the mountains! I like the mountains. I like everywhere with nature. It makes me feel so happy and energetic! That’s why I don’t really like living with humans – there’s not as much nature, and that isn’t very much fun. I mean, it’s a nice change, but…Oh well. Let’s go now!”

Mooshie Bear - January 26, 2008 03:09 AM (GMT)
Mooshie's head turned rather quickly to keep up with Hattie as she repeatedly circled him, it almost made the poor panda dizzy. Hattie must be excited because she spoke so fast Mooshie could barely understand what she was saying, but it was ok because Mooshie was excited too! He

He did understand from her fast talking that Hattie may want to go to the ocean. Mooshie wasn't very good at directions, but he was pretty sure the ocean wasn't very close. Then again what did he know, he was just a clueless baby. He giggled when Hattie poked his stomach, and again took no offense to the fat comment. He was proud to be a healthy growing panda.

Hattie mentioned going to the mountains, and this idea excited Mooshie much more than the ocean. Mooshie loved the mountains a lot. His owner Edgar used to take him on long walks through the mountain, and they would play hide and seek in the rocks. Mooshie always ended up getting lost though, and Edgar was always upset when he found him, but still, it was fun!

Hattie seemed even more Hyper and she urged Mooshie to get going. Mooshie didn't have a second thought. He didn't even consider the odd reasons why Hattie didn't like being around people.

"Misses Hattie." he said. "Lets go to the mountains. We can breathe in the nice air and play in the dirt and maybe even play hide and seek. Maybe we can even find some mountain friends. I would super duper love to go to the mountains!" Mooshie began running at a rather fast trot...Well fast if you considered his considerable weight and his nubby legs.

"Come ons Misses Hattie! I'll race you! Last one there is a pile of poop!"

Hattie - January 26, 2008 05:21 PM (GMT)
Ooh! The mountains did sound like a good idea when Mooshie put it that way! Intoxicated by the warm and friendly atmosphere, the young orange kitty was held captive by her own mad giggles when her panda friend suddenly set of in a funny-looking trot.

“Hey! That’s not fair!” she squealed good-naturedly as she stumbled her way back to her paws…And tottered over into a low-hanging leaf.

“Ewww…” she whined to herself as she snatched up her hat from the sticky mess that had been holding it captive. Then, carefully adjusting her little top hat so that it hung securely from her mouth, the sage kitty set off after her panda friend not in a breakneck sprint as she consider, but at a soft pace that was really quite pleasing. How Hattie loved the fresh country air, the grass beneath her paws! Still prone to random bursts of snickers and giggles, Hattie quickened her pace a little, to be level with Mooshie.

“Slow down!” she squealed over the rush of wind, “You’ll need lots and lotsa energy for playing in the mountains! It’ll be no fun if we get there all tired and stuff!”

(Sorry for the short post. This is a little hurried.)

Mooshie Bear - March 2, 2008 07:38 PM (GMT)
It took Mooshie a few seconds before he realised that Hattie wanted him to slow down. He turned his head to see her coming up behind hm and he slowed his paws, only going at about half of the speed.

"It's okay Misses Hattie!" he said. "We can go slow if you want, I'll just runs ahead when we get there!" It was funny how fast Mooshie moved considering the amount of fat he had on him, but he was a little ball of energy afterall.

"So Misses Hatties, what do you wants to do when we get there? Im sure there are so many terrific super duper things to do when we get there. I can't even make up my mind!" Mooshie looked up at the mountain that was looming up in front of them. It was a gentle looking mountain, with a peak dulled by milennia of erosion. Despite this, it was still quite steep in some places, and they would have to be really careful not to get hurted.

"Say, bestest friend..." he said to Hattie. "Did you know your hats is covered in sticky stuff? Maybe there will be a big water place to wash it in."

As Mooshie had his head turned talking to Hattie, he wasn't really paying attention in front of him, and was caught by suprise when he ran headfirst in to a bush, lodging himself and his rather big head in the branches. He attempted to pull his head out, but to no avail.

"Misses Hattie!" he called out. "I am super duper stuck! Haaaaaaaalp!" He planted his hind paws on the ground and put his fore paws on the branches on the sides of his head. Then he gave the mightiest push he could muster, but all he succeed in doing was losing his grip and falling on his butt.

"Well, it could be worser..." he said. "At least I'm not stuck in a pricker bush..."

Hattie - March 3, 2008 12:01 AM (GMT)
“What about my ha-oof!”

Ironically - and hilariously - Hattie turned to look at Mooshie when he began to say something about her hat, which meant she too was charging ahead blindly. And, seeing as she had been more-or-less parallel to his chubby friend, that meant she ran right into the bush as well. For a moment Hattie stared uncomprehendingly at the wall of foliage before her, before starting to giggle at the sheer ridiculousness of the situation. Fortunately, since the cat’s head was considerably smaller than Mooshie’s, she was able to extricate it with considerable ease, though her hat got caught in the myriad of branches and refused to budge.

Immediately, the mage cat felt naked without her only lifelong companion. She made to retrieve it reflexively, but paused when Mooshie - Hattie just now realized he’d gotten entangled also - wailed for halp. The cat wanted to help Mooshie, but found herself crippled by her own laughter as she collapsed in a pile of hysterical giggles. After a little while, she was able to pull herself upright again, and went about helping her friend. This posed to be quite a challenge without opposable thumbs. The only course of action that Hattie found she was able to attempt was to nudge the panda bear’s chubby body from the side.

“Oof! You’re heavy, Mooshie!” she mewed as she struggled against the baby bear’s chubby mass.

Mooshie Bear - March 5, 2008 10:44 PM (GMT)
It was a rather comical situation to see, a rather large baby panda with his head stuck in a bush and a small cat struggling to push him out. Mooshie was getting rather anxious though. "Im sick of being stuck!" he said. "I wants to go to the mountain! I wants to roll in the dirts and play hide and seek! I wanna walk up the side of the mountain and walk down the other side of the mountain!"

He slowly realised that he would need to work together with Hattie to get out, and he began pushing with all his might, in coordination with Hattie. Slowly the branches which trapped Mooshie's head began to bend and crack. After trying for a few moments, he was able to pull his head through. Unfortunately, the branches refused to completely give way, and Mooshie would have to pick up the slack. The poor bear ended up scraping himself on the ends of the branches. It happened rather fast and he ended up falling back and landing on his back with a thud.

It took a few seconds for him to realise he scratched himself. When he did, his eyes became wide and glassy, and Mooshie began crying very loudly. "Wahhhhhhh!!! I gots a booboo!!! It hurts it hurts it hurts!!! Wahhhh!!!" Mooshie's crying seemed to upset him even further, and as a result his crying got even louder, to the point of a hysterical tantrum. "Misses Hattie I gots a booboo!!! I gots a booboo!!! The red slimy jelly is coming out of my face! I'm gonna lose all the jellies in me! "

It was quite a ridiculous fuss to make over two small scrapes that were barely bleeding, but the shock of it was what really got to Mooshie, along with the immaturity.

Hattie - March 8, 2008 07:58 AM (GMT)
(Sorry for phailuge! I'm just not in the zone...)

“Oof!” whined Hattie as she found herself suddenly shoving against nothing but air. Needless to say, one wail later, the orange kitty found herself, unbalanced, crashing into the dirt. But it was alright - it was a soft landing, and one that the rough-and-tumble feline was quite used to. But startled, she quickly leapt up again, having just added another layer of dirt to her already neglected fur - with no owner, this cat had no one to make her get down and wet with that icky icky water. Which was not to say that Hattie never washed, but this was getting off topic, hmm?

Anyhow, the mage cat was most alarmed by her friend’s squawk of alarm, so she hastened to his side. She blanched for a moment at the flash of red - Mooshie’s alarm made things seem worse than they really were - but then training that the little cat did not remember set in, and she began to fuss over the baby bear with the jerky movements of an old woman, as she set about trying to hold the squirming cub still so that she could properly heal the wound.

“Aww, c’mon, Mooshie! It’ll be okay! Hattie’ll make it all better!” she mewed encouragingly, even whilst gently nursing her friend back onto his feet (well, gently enough, seeing as the pudgy bear was like five times her weight).

“That was funny! I - Ooh, my hat!” she exclaimed with realization as she threw herself face first into the bush that had so stolen her precious hat.

Mooshie Bear - March 8, 2008 09:35 PM (GMT)
(Its all right, but you do realize that your post (IC no ooc words) is only 262 words long? Might wanna fix that O.O)

Mooshie , although he knew Hattie was trying to help him, wasn't very apt to stop his squirming and screaming. He was a babie, and as a result of having a "booboo" it felt natural to scream and cry over two small scrapes on his side. Somehow Hattie managed to hold him still and heal him anyways. As she did, Mooshie felt a gentle soothing go through his body, like a baby drinking warm milk in the way that it quickly pacified him. It quite clearly showed that the baby had been overeacting, but nonetheless it was kind of cute depending on who you asked. Mooshie stretched out on his back when Hattie was done, eyes closed, and sighed.

"Thank you Misses Hattie!" he said. "I feels soooooo much better! You are like a magic kitty ya know!" Then Mooshie heard Hattie yell about her hat and he sat up slowly. "What's wrong Misses Hattie? Is your super terrific hat stuck in the bush?" He stared at the cat that was now halfway inside the bush, wondering what he could do to help.

"Well Misses Hattie, I'd go in there and help you but I don't wants to get stuck in the bush again! I don't wants to get hurted!" Although he wouldnt go in to the bush, it didnt mean he couldnt try something helpless and probably useless. So Mooshie approached the bush, and attempted shaking it with his paw. Unfortunately the hat would not shake loose this way, and it probably only suceeded in shaking up Hattie a bit.

"Jeeze, I really wants to go to the mountain." he said impatiently. He had a short attention span being so little, and everyone knows that pandas just want to have fun.

"Have you almost got your hats unstucked. Do you haves any magic spells that could get it maybe?"
