Description: *OPEN..male preferred.
Josette - January 19, 2008 09:39 PM (GMT)
The valley was empty, only shadows of clouds and the calm words of the breeze disturbed the desolate peace of the last plain. The stable, now a miniscule spec on the horizon, was the only sign that man kind even existed.
Josette inhaled deeply, filling her breast with honeysuckle sweetened air and smiled a giddy grin. Her muscles grew taught with excitement. Her bouncing, golden curls fell to her waist and jumped off her shoulders as her head snapped to the west. Pounding, the thunderous pounding of hooves, many many hooves, reached her acute Elvin ears.
Rays of sunlight dappled the twilight lit field as the white stallion gloriously crested the hill, main flying out behind him like the tail of a sparkling shooting star. His bay mare followed, as did her colt and the rest of their large extended family.
The sight was absolutely astounding and Josette almost regretted her plan of action. She needed that bay, she longed for her. The mare’s wild spirit struck Josette’s hart strings and made a beautiful melody of hope, greed and desire.
This was the tenth night, the night of the blue moon, the night were the maidens plan would take its course. This was the farthest field from the stables, the one were the herd wild for days without a thought from the farm hands.
Her nose twitched, her legs grew long and masculine. Her chest became large and barreled with a delicate white blaze on the newly developed buckwheat colored hair. Her boots shifted into glimmering, coal colored daggers as, like water, a tangle of earthen colored hairs trickled down her neck. Josette made a beautiful wild horse, the only oddity of her colors being her blazing green, slightly humanoid eyes.
Slowly, she trotted into the open, right after the herd passed. Joyously adopting the instincts of this massive creature she galloped along in the back with the older, slower horses. Greatly enjoying herself Josette didn’t notice herself becoming more apart of the mass, nor the stallions change in direction. Directly back to the stables.
Murtagh - January 20, 2008 09:29 AM (GMT)
A Medium sized dragon flew above the stables, the dragon flew high above the stables and trees. Suddenly the dragon started to dive, the dragon started to pull up, and the dragons claws scrapped on the ground. Murtagh turned around, and flew straight at the stables. The red dragon landed on the ground with a thump, the dragon took a few steps toward the stables. Suddenly the dragon turned into a male Human. The human had long red hair, Turquoise eyes, to tattoos below his eyes. The man wore a black leather cloak with a sword holstered to his belt. Murtagh walked towards the stables, several horses made noises and stood up and Murtagh smiled. Murtagh put some horse food in his hand, he walked over to a white horse. Murtagh put his hand near the horse’s mouth, the horse started eating the food. Once done, Murtagh stroked the horse.
Murtagh walked out of the stables, he walked on the grass, moonlight shone on him from the gaps in the leaves. Murtagh walked over to a tree, he leaned against the tree and sat down. Murtagh kicked his feet out infront of him and soaked in the moonlight, he often came here to relax. Murtagh looked up at the sky, he studied the stars for a moment before looking back down. He didn't know what would happen here but he heard the sound of hooves on the ground and familiar noises. Murtagh looked around, he spotted a pack of wild horses running towards the stables. Murtagh stayed still, he didn't want to get in the way since he knew wild horses packed a punch. Murtagh saw the adult horses arrive first, they appeared to be the pack leaders and the most powerfull. Murtagh smiled, He brushed his hand through his hair. Murtagh crossed his arms and waited, he wanted to see all of the pack, he loved see wild animals, the brought this emotion out in him.
Josette - January 21, 2008 10:48 PM (GMT)
The stallion slowed to a bouncing trot, and Josette came back to her elfin senses. The moment she saw how much she closer had traveled to civilization, she panicked. She was completely surrounded by huge, athletic animals complicating any form of escape.
Frick! The word exploded in her head like a firework, and she whinnied in frustration, receiving, she thought, an agitated glance from the gelding next to her.
Mind racing, she did the only thing she could if she didn’t want to get caught by some wandering farm hand. She shifted. Her tail plumed instead of flowed, her hooves sprouted claws and rough, dry pads while her green slanted and turned acid color.
The herd burst and horses scattered in all different directions, the gorgeous lupine running full speed after a small few of them and bunching them into a small knot. Cutting off the bay mare she desired, with skills only a hunter possesses, from the group.
Josette sprinted along side the horse, her long, elegant body stretching its full length as she ran. Chest heaving, pink tongue ribboning out from dagger lined jaws, she lead the mare with nips towards the line of trees, only to skid to a rolling stop.
There was a man. Sitting and obsevering.
Dar'Vaeg - January 21, 2008 11:04 PM (GMT)
Arthur was nearing the stables outside of the village if it could be called that. It was a village yes but it was near the size of a small town still it had its uses. Arthur stayed in the shadows of the trees staying off the well worn trail. It was not that he wanted to be seen it was that his visage was not readily accepted. Of course what did you expect when you were dressed like somethign spit from the fires of chaos. It was not his fault that his armor made him look fearsome that was the point but still. He might not look entirely human, and undearneath he did look it but people took in outside appearnces not what was inside.
It didn't matter as logn as he was not questioned on it and noone saw what was behind his eyes everything would go soothingly. Of course if he had been in dragon form it would be worse when he went in, but it couldn't go bad like this. Arthur made his ways through the trees and caught a scent, it was not foriegn or strange, but it had an oddity to it. He looked out of the trees and saw a herd of wild horses runnign toward the stable. That was an oddity in itself wild horses never went near civiliazation with out cause. HE still could not get the odd smell out of his nostrils though. He looked at the back of the herd and saw one of the most beautiful horses he had ever seen and he smiled.
That was the smell, it was a shapeshifter or he was blind. Another scent went into his and thsi smell he recognized better than the shapeshifters. All creatures had particulars scents, and they could not change them whatever their form. The scent was half-dragon and Arthur smiled at his luck. A half-dragon liek him, and a shapeshifter in the same day. He stayed in the shadows following the smell of one of his own kidn until he came near to an openign seeing a man lying against a tree and he stayed back keen on just watchign the horses for the while.
Then everythign changed as the herd neared the stables the shapeshifter in the back changed into a lupine ad the herd scattered. Arthur watched in awe as the shapeshifter moved among them with effortless ease chasing a particular horse toward teh treelien where the man sat. Arthur just watched and waited saying nothing. He wanted to see what would happen next.
Murtagh - January 22, 2008 12:46 AM (GMT)
Murtagh caught a scent, the scent of another half-dragon and the scent of a Shape shifter. Murtagh looked over at the Lupine, the scent of the shape shifter came of the lupine. Murtagh stood up, he was afraid of nothing, not even a Bloodthirsty Lupine ready to kill him. Murtagh brushed the dirt off his black robes, he often was seen as a mere Traveller, But Murtagh was no ordinary Man. Murtagh focused his strength, two large wings with spikes on them grew out of his back. Murtagh stretch his arms and wings out, his large wings raised in the air. A wild horse ran away at the sight of him, Murtagh shook his head. Murtagh turned his attention to the Lupine. "I know your secret. Also that there A Half-Dragon like me hiding in the trees, and if you think you could sneak up on me. You were wrong, you must of realised we have the same senses" Murtagh said.
His wing fell down to his side, Murtagh smiled. The smell of them both went through his nostrils again, he wasn't stupid like some of the Humans around here. Murtagh felt excited, another Half-Dragon and A shape shifter in the same day, which hardly ever happened in his days alone. Murtagh stepped towards the Lupine, whoever this shape shifter was, they had to show there true form. Murtagh stopped several meters before the Lupine, the Horse that the Lupine had chased had gotten itself up and ran away. "You know you didn't have to run, I have to hide my dragon form but It doesn't bother me. People always run away in fear from dragons, its just there nature" Vahn said. "Come, show yourself. Us Dragons and Half-dragons should stick together, I usually don't get to see another half dragon everyday" Vahn said in Draconic. Murtagh stretched his wings again, it had been so long to sprout his wings in human form, that they felt like a tonne. Murtagh surveyed the trees, whoever this Half-dragon was, he would have to show himself.
Josette - January 22, 2008 01:23 AM (GMT)
Josette's eyes widened in fury. Her furry lips curled in a defiant snarl, a low growl rumbled in her chest. Her horse, the beautiful, majestic creature chased away by a man with dragon wings! She steped a foot or two bacwards and slowly morphed.
Her copper skin glowed in the shimering light of the moon. Silken, golden tresses fell from her shoulders and framed her face in curly whips of a color close to morning sunlight. Her eyes, so green that they almost glowed bore into him.
Hands on hips she stared at the stranger, anger subsiding. There was always a nextime.
Can I help you, dark stranger? the wordsjumped off her curved, rosy lips tinged with a dash a seduction, and had the sting of caution mixed with distrust. Her voice was smooth as water, light as air.
Standing in a dominating fashion, legs spred and arms crossed her acute eyes flicked from the creature before her and the one sulking in the shadows.
Dar'Vaeg - January 22, 2008 02:42 AM (GMT)
Arthur eyed the man from the shadows warily, of course he had been picked up he had expected it. Still it was tough when people sensed your prescense. You could mask your scent but you could never truly hide it. In that was a problem for any predator. Arthur answered back in the draconic langauge to the man," Neither do I but that does not mean throwing caution to the wind, I hide because I do not trust easy, and I do not know if harm shall come to me till then it is better for me to be in the shadows".
Arthur did and watched as the shapeshifter change and for a moment he thought he might have recognized her. He had only met two shapeshifters in his lifetime both women and he only knew one who chose the elf. Knowing then that maybe was there no danger did he come into the light. He was still in the wooded area but he was out enough to be seen. Arthur he woudl not have been suprised if they both jumped in fear hsi armor had that affect. Still he did not throw away caution he kept his hand to his sword. He then said in normal tongue," Still I doubt your a kinslayer, and you wouldn't hurt one of your blood in front of her, if you did, youd find it more trouble then we are both worth".
Murtagh - January 22, 2008 03:01 AM (GMT)
Murtagh watched as the Half-dragon revealed himself. "I am no Kin slayer. I don't plan to hurt anyone, is not in my nature" Vahn said. He looked over to the Elf, her words brought joy to his heart and love in his veins. "I just came here to relax, I mean no harm. My Name is Murtagh, I come from a long line of dragons and half-dragons" Murtagh said, his words had a deep and cold tone but as he spoke, his words were calm, a showed signs of joy. Murtagh looked at the Elf, he had frightened the horse, which he didn't mean to. "I'm sorry about scaring off that horse, we half-dragons aren't always excepted and often are feared by Humans" Vahn said.
Murtagh crossed his arm, trust nowadays was hard to come by and was not just thrown at people like it used to be. Murtagh waited, the sound of his heartbeat was slow as slow as the wind. Murtagh brushed his hair back and looked from the Shape shifter in front of him to the Half-dragon in the trees. He knew that fear struck that hearts of several people, but not him, no creature, no matter what it looked like would never scare Murtagh. Murtagh sighed, his turquoise eyes focused on the slender elf, something about her took his words away, he didn't know what but something was drawing her into his mind. Murtagh took a few steps forward, obviously they would introduce themselves. He knew he had made the Elf made and he hoped it didn't ruin anything, often scaring something that someone loved caused anger in most people. Murtagh looked at her, his red hair blew in front of his face in the breeze.
Josette - January 22, 2008 03:18 AM (GMT)
A spark of recognition kindled Josette's memory; she knew the voice in the shadows.
The man with flaming hair edged closer to her, and she slinked back. She had been away from contact with every living thing for quite some time and was wary of most people, having lost her usual spunk over the past months due to her self enforced solitary roaming.
It’s alright, the horse I mean. She mumbled, tying back her hair and regaining some traces of her long lost confidence. And it’s Josette. She lifted her chin in hello, not offering a hand but standing a bit awkwardly out in the open moon beams.
Josette gazed past her acquaintance, Murtagh, to the man she thought she had some familiarity with and again lifted her chin in greeting. In the end, though, she decided to give them both a small, shy smile.
Dar'Vaeg - January 22, 2008 03:56 AM (GMT)
Arthur smiled he recognized the name of the girl. An old aquaintance good luck for him indeed. He bowed his head to the other half-dragon. He was glad there would be no fight he had a dislike for killing especially his own kind. Once there had been no such hold on him but now a promise made was not easily broken. Arthur smiled and said,"Who I am is a question not easily answered". He smiled a bit at that and then said," For I am no single enitity, no one being, I am everything yet nothing at the same time, I am an idea, I am a cause, I am leader and a follower, I think therefore I am, I am who I am no more no less, simply though I was once known as Arthur Pendragon the Evil Dragon Slayer, now I am Arthur or Dar'Vaeg, I prefer Arthur".
Arthur smiled at the other dragon and shook his head and said," You are supposed to appear where you are unexpected, fear is what keeps us safe, though it also keeps us in danger, a vicous circle, but a good one". He chuckled to himself for that and turned to Jossette and said," You however have nothing to fear from me, as for him he is my kind, and we do not harm women".
Murtagh - January 22, 2008 06:05 AM (GMT)
Murtagh smiled back. He nodded at what Arthur said. "Hurting women is a dishonor to the clan, for we love women, they are the bringers of Life and keepers of our hearts" Murtagh said. Murtagh's wings fell to the ground, the pain of keeping them up was to immense. Murtagh felt a sharp pain in his right wing, Murtagh could barely lift his wing but he managed to examine his wing. Two large rips showed in the moonlight, He must of forgotten his earlier fight. Murtagh dropped to his knees, pain sored through his body, it must have gone unnoticed when he flew above the stable. Murtagh managed to hold the pain for several seconds until dropped to the ground. Blood ran down his face and back down onto the ground. What ever had caused this had badly ripped his wing.
"You got to help, Do what you must to repair me wing. Please, I know we barely know each other. Arthur, it has been stated for years that dragons and half-dragons always help a Kin member in need" Murtagh said. Pain struck him again, he looked up at the two, and his mind moved briefly off, if they didn't help, Murtagh would die of blood loss. Murtagh looked at the two, his eyes remained on the person closest to him, Josette, she had several things in common with him. He smiled and shifted his weight on his side where he pulled his wing by his side, he laid his head on the top of his wing. Murtagh felt the smooth surface of his wing, Murtagh smiled. A cool breeze brushed against him, his hand came over the blood on his wing, Murtagh sighed and released all tension in his arm. It would be best if he stopped moving and regained his strength, after all, he was bleeding quite bad.
Dar'Vaeg - January 22, 2008 05:43 PM (GMT)
Arthur eyed the half-dragons wing taking it in he was not good at healing in fact he was near terrible but he could try. Arthur then said," I am not sure how much I can do, I have never been good at healing and I can only do minor wounds, I will try". Arthur took off his helmet and approached and felt the wing with his hand checking it. It was stable except for the wing and that would help thankfully. Arthur then said," This will hurt a bit, I have never tried this on somethign so big so be wary". Arthur grabbed at his magic and concentrated on the wound pouring it in to it and he said," Minor Heal". The wound healed only a tiny bit but it healed enough not to cause trouble.
Arthur then said," THats the best I can do, my suggestion don't use it in the next few days, wrap the wound in something and you should be fine". He then looked up and realized he man was taller than him and Arthur jerked back in suprise and cursed and said," Damn your one of the biggest of half-dragons I ever saw". He then turned to Jossete and said," Excuse my langauge Im sorry".
Josette - January 22, 2008 09:43 PM (GMT)
Josette knelt to were the injured one lay and examined the partially healed wound, fondling the leathery skin of the wing and whispering her own small magic .
Not to bad. she muttered. A chiming chuckle escaped her throat at Arthurs apology Feel free to use whatever language around me. and she grinned at the both of them.
So, what brings you to this neck of the woods? Her eyes gleamed with curiousity. Standing to her full height she leaned over to offer a helping hand Murtagh, hoping to get to lean against the tree. His chheks were pale with blood loss and pain.
Murtagh - January 22, 2008 10:20 PM (GMT)
Murtagh laughed at Arthur’s comment. "Thanks? You know we all came from Dragons at once Arthur but I guess my family must of big dragons and humans" Murtagh said with a chuckle, he looked at the two who had helped him. Murtagh smiled and grabbed Josette’s hand, he pulled himself up. Her hands felt smooth and soft against his strong hand, smiled and let go. "Thanks you two, I guess my flying days will be put on hold. Their my fastest way of transport but at least it can heal now" Murtagh said, his right wing hung loose like it wasn't even attached while his left wing stood out, it was long and tall. Both wings were softer than anything. Murtagh smiled at them both and thought about Josette’s question.
"What brings me here you ask. I’m here to relax, Enjoy nature and it's many animals and since we are all here he could get to know each other and sit down, I prefer to sit down and talk for long periods of time" Murtagh said, he looked down at Josette and Arthur. Murtagh was a tall man, he was also strong and a good flyer but so had his ancestors. Murtagh skin was slightly tanned, two tattoos below his turquoise eyes stood out. The moonlight shone down on the three as they stood there, Murtagh laughed. He didn't know why, but it seemed so weird what happened earlier and what was happening now. Murtagh smiled again, he crossed his arms, as he stretched his shoulders. Both of his wings moved up but since his right wing was healing and the pain when he moved it only made it move to his hip. Murtagh pushed his hair back with his right hand, he crossed his arms again and waited for a response.
Dar'Vaeg - January 23, 2008 12:22 AM (GMT)
Arthur only smiled at the man he had time yet he guessed unless he had to much human in him. He doubted that was the case he liked who he was. It still was a suprise seeing people taller than him. HE was tall, taller than most men so he knew what it now felt like to crane your neck at someone. He smield slightly at Josettes comment. He did not liek using foul langauge sometimes though it just escaped.
Arthur then said," Me I am just passing through, Im heading to Ondoland, got some business to handle". He then said to Jossete and said," How bout you, I could slightly guess but there I would bet there is more to it then chasing a horse".
Josette - January 23, 2008 04:17 AM (GMT)
Well, the horse was going to become my travle companion. Josette paused and looked over shoulder longingly at the bay mare grazing just at the very edge of the herd. But, i guess I'll be alone again... and then she smiled foolishly The horse is the only reason im these parts, just passing through.
Twirling a pice of hair on her index finger she began to sway back forth, a habit she had developed when the emotions in her brain clashed together, this time it was the joy of company and the nerves of being with two acceptionaly handsome men.
Murtagh - January 23, 2008 05:03 AM (GMT)
=Murtagh felt a spark from Josette, he felt something closer to her. Murtagh thought about what she said for a moment, this woman was beautiful and Murtagh couldn't deny her, he had to travel with her. "I'll go with you, my wing may be healing but I can still run. And I’m sorry about the horse, I can make it up to you" Murtagh said, he smiled. Murtagh lightly kicked the ground, He smiled yet again and looked at Josette, and she appeared to be twirling her hair. Murtagh knew why females did that, it was another way of blushing. But instead they wrapped their finger in their hair. Murtagh looked at the horse for a moment, he turned back to look at Josette, he felt something. He felt like he loved her but he didn't want to show it to her yet.
Murtagh crossed his arms, his muscles tensed and they were surely to been seen in his tight cloak. Murtagh didn't know where they would hed but he didn't mind traveling to any town. "Should we start a fire and get some sleep before heading off in our different routes?" Murtagh sugested. He wouldn't need any fancy tools to start it, he would just need his a few logs and his nostrils. Murtagh stared at Josette, his Turquoise eyes stared right into her soft eyes. Murtagh studied the different formations, even if someone said anything, he wouldn't loose his connection, he had met a beautiful lady today and he didn't want to give her away. Murtagh brushed his long red hair out of his face. Today was a truly interesting day Murtagh thought, Murtagh yawned. He covered his mouth with his left hand, he laughed and lowered his hand.
Dar'Vaeg - January 23, 2008 03:14 PM (GMT)
Arthur smiled slightly he knew how it was to be alone and have the need of company. That was what he was most of the time alone, he never had anyone to travel with not since Valinor anyway and now he wandered alone. He sighed his heart went out to Josette as he felt sympathy for her wanting somone to travel with. He could use a companion for awhile so he said," I could travel with you as well if you wish, besides I could use the company, I have not had nay in a long time".
He smiled slightly to himself and looked at Josette and he found himself attracted to her. Of course Arthur had great taste in women and she was indeed more than a good looking one but Arthur rarely felt more than attraction toard one. This time his heart quickned at her twirling her hair. Arthur did not show it but inside he was turning slightly red. He hid it well though he had learned to control his emotions oveer the year and he prayed that his control would not fail now.
Arthur then said," I agree lets rest, I'll take first watch if thats okay with everyone".
Josette - January 23, 2008 10:25 PM (GMT)
Josette was taken aback by how qiuck and sure their responses were. She stopped twirling her hair, cocking her head in thought. I guess i wouldnt mind being in the comany of you two... she shrugged and streched her arms out wide, groaning at the pull of her ligements.
Rest sounds...relaxing she fumbled. Tilting her head backwards she studied the leaves of the trees nearby, searching for an oak or maple. She loved buring freshly snapped branches of maple. It had sweet, smoky aroma that made her feel at home.
They were both staring at her, and this time Josette did blush. Bright crimson.
Murtagh - January 24, 2008 12:58 AM (GMT)
Murtagh nodded to Arthur’s statement. He tried not to show his emotions, instead he twisted his right foot on the ground. He often did this around women that he liked. Murtagh saw a maple tree branch above him, he snapped it off and sniffed it. The sweet smell ran through his body. "I love that smell, the smell fresh wood is like music to my ears" Murtagh said with a laugh. He made a dirt circle and broke the branch into several little pieces. Once he was pleased with his arrangement of the branches, he blew fire at the branches. A small but warm fire crackled in the night. Murtagh sat down by the fire, he put his bare hands by the fire feeling the warmth. Murtagh slowly took of his cloak, underneath he wore long trousers and a singlet.
He had tanned skin, which was unusual for him. But he had been swimming down in a lake somewhere. A scar ran down his right upper arm. As Arthur had said, he was a big half-dragon. And that was true, he had big muscles, both in human form and dragon form. Murtagh placed his cloak behind him, he didn't need to worry about getting cold, and he had the fire and his wings to keep him warm. Murtagh looked at the fire, he thought about a fire that had almost killed him. He had fought the man who had lit it and he was left with the scar, Murtagh sighed and looked at the two, he saw that Josette was blushing. Murtagh smiled and kept looking at her, he was attracted to her but he knew that Arthur would be as well, he didn't want to fight him physically. Murtagh wasn't the person to fight for no reason but if push came to shove, he would shove back. He shook the thought, he wasn't going to fight him, the clans were meant to live in peace.
Dar'Vaeg - January 24, 2008 01:07 AM (GMT)
Arthur eyed the other man strangely, he had acted odd momentarily and he think he might knwo what that would mean. Arthur just shook his head and he saw that Jossete was blushing and a small smile crept up on Arthurs lip. He kenw he was handsome women sometimes found him so and in his dragon form he was an exclent speciman but he liked people to see him as he was on the inside. Arthur sat down perching himself near a tree that was by the fire.
He unbuckled his sword so it would not get in the way and he put his helmet and sheild together in a pile. He then eyed Murtagh a bit more and saw by the way the man was looking at Josette he was attracted as well. Arthur would not fight him for her not in physical means unless it was in defense. Arthur had sworn off fighting dragons except for self-defense or in defense of otherss. If the man wanted her though Arthur would give him a good run for his money. Finally Arthur said to Josette," You going to sit down or stand and turn red all night". He chukled slightly to himself and wiated.
Josette - January 24, 2008 03:57 AM (GMT)
Arthur’s comment made her smile shyly, her face burned and the red discoloration of her skin crept down her neck. Her boot scuffed the earth and she settled, in the flickering shadows, on her rump with her legs pretzel style.
Inhaling deeply and sighing at the smoking smell Josette relaxed a bit, but her faced burned on. Her fingers traced lines in the dusty dirt anxiously, portraying an epic battle between a frog and a fly. Josette hummed to herself as she sketched small cartoons in the dirt, not knowing what to say.
She did it a lot, actually, falling into her own world despite the conversation. She was easily lost in her vast imagination, always humming absent mindedly when she felt comfortable and safe.
Murtagh - January 24, 2008 05:08 AM (GMT)
Murtagh looked over at her picture, the picture portrayed a fly fighting a Frog. "You really have a tallent for drawing. I think I have something that might help it last longer" Murtagh said. Murtagh retrieved a small drinking bowl from his Cloak, and several leaves and a knife. He cut the leaves into small pieces, the crushed it with a blunt stick. The water that was in there made it into a thick paste, all he need now was a drop of his blood. Murtagh raised his index finger over the bowl, he cut the tip of his finger. Excatly one drop fell into the bowl, he placed the knife on the ground. Murtagh's wound started to heal. He mixed the bowl again, after stirring for a few seconds, the paste became liquid. Murtagh passed the bowl to josette with a smile.
"It works like paint, except nature will destory it slow after time. If you appy different powders to it, it will change the color and you could have a painting, but is your choice. But your drawing is beautiful" Murtagh said with another smile. He looked at Arthur, they both appeared to have found Josette Atractive, and he would surely give him a run for his money. Murtagh threw another log on the fire, the sweet smell of smoke made him feel great. He had a thought in his mind, he knew a paste when appiled to a wound could heal it in a matter of hours. Murtagh grabbed different leaves than the ones he had used before. After a few minutes of making the paste on his wing, a yellow paste was appiled to his wound. Murtagh looked at his wing, he was happy with it and would probably go for an early morning fly.
Dar'Vaeg - January 24, 2008 03:16 PM (GMT)
Arthur shook his head slightly it was not that he didn't like art, it was just that it was a simple drawing. He himself would not call it beautiful he would have said it was good and only that. He knew beauty better than most one particular beauty was right in front of him but that drawing was no beauty. Arthur then had the thought that maybe the masn was trying a way to get in her good graces. Arthur sighed it would work but only part way, but usually the simple things got the crack going to larger results.
Arthur then said," You have talent, it almost looks real". It did almost look real and Arthur would leave it at that he then waited for he reaction that would come.
Josette - January 24, 2008 09:47 PM (GMT)
Josette looked up at them both, shruging her bony shoulders, I wouldnt call it a beauty or realistic, just a simple habit of passing the time. She smiled at the again, examing the paste the Murtagh had created, prodding it with curious fingers.
It was nice to have friends. Josette didnt notice anything unusual about them either. Men had always acted slightly diffrent around her, ever since she was ten. THey would smile, blush throw pretty comments at her. And after nine years she had gotten used to it, hardly ever noticing a simple move, or any flirting.
Murtagh - January 25, 2008 01:38 AM (GMT)
Murtagh was only trying to get something moving, he knew that the women in front of him was more beautiful than the drawing. "Its better than anything I can do, My pictures are only stick figures" Murtagh said with a chuckle. Time passed and he soon became bored. "Should we get some shut eye?" Murtagh asked, He yawned. It was late and if they wanted to leave early in the morning, they might as well get a good night’s sleep instead of walking tired and not realising where they were going. Murtagh sighed and poked the fire with a stick, it was starting to grow smaller and smaller but they would have to put it out if they went to sleep. Murtagh heard the sound of a tree splashing in the water, he looked out and twenty five meters down the road was a lake. Murtagh shook his head and looked at the fire.
Soon he would take the next watch, he would find something to occupy his time when they had fallen asleep. "I'll take next watch when we go to sleep" Murtagh offered. Murtagh looked at the two, he yawned again and stretched his arms. A slight pain in his wing made him stop, it was starting to heal, he could see the skin working its way together. Murtagh looked at Josette fiddling with that paste, he smiled and looked down at her art work. "You don't have to use it if you don't want. I thought it would be nice to preserve your drawing, but its your choice" Murtagh said.

Arthur shook his head and sat back his head against the tree and he looked up at the sky. The sky was clear and you could see the starts and moon personally. Arthur liked it when the night was clear. lookign at the stars calmed him. Arthur started humming contently just idly looking at the stars. Times would change even him but there were things that time did not change and the beauty of the night sky on a clear night was one of them.
Arthur then looked at Josette and conitnued to humm idly and he thummbed hsi earlobe as he sometimes did when looking at a beautiful woman. Soon he stoppped putting his hand down. He had let hsi guard down, he rarely let emotion sweep in. One of his rules was passion rules reason for better for worse. So he always tried to hide his passion so his reason would always be in the lead. Arthur then took out his fiddle and said," Hope you don't mind if I play, I feel it helps me to sleep when I play".
(Sorry if its not good but I got to hit the hay)
Josette - January 26, 2008 05:00 AM (GMT)
Go right ahead. She grinned, leaning back on her elbows and sighing with content. The mornings travels were unknown, she hadn’t actually planned on going anywhere specific. She let her mind wander, their words had grown sparse and her eyelids were drooping.
Where were you two headed before we ran into each other? She questioned.
Growing a bit uncomfortable she curled into the fetal position, resting on her side, gazing at the dancing flames.
Murtagh - January 26, 2008 08:41 AM (GMT)
[[I'll manage to post a shorty today while he's sleeping lol]]
Murtagh looked at Arthur. "Sure go ahead" Murtagh said. Vahn yawned and lay on his back. "I was just wondering around, go where ever I feel" Murtagh said. He looked at the flames. Murtagh knew nothing about where he was going, he just knew that he wanted to go where ever he felt was right..

( Am I sleeping I never noticed lol)
Arthur smiled at the man they were both in for a treat. Arthur was very good at performing and when he performed it was always a good treat. Arthur answered the girl by saying," I was just wandering, goign no particular place, I usually stay closer to civilization in the winter, so thats basically what I was doing". Arthur shrugged idely because that was jsut the way he was. Arthur put hsi bow to hsi fiddle and played a soft slow medlodious tune. The tune fit the night perfectly it waxed and waned like the moon. It matched the breeze perfectly. Soon Arthur was lost to its sound as he played. Even the dying fire seemed to move alogn with the beautiful music.
Josette - January 27, 2008 01:25 AM (GMT)
His music flowed through her body, making her feel light and filled with air. Her new pals made her happy, made her feel younger and unburdened.
The shadows grew longer as the night grew shorter. Dreamland welcomed her with open arms as her eyes slowly closed. Her dreams were filled with wild horses, dragons and beautiful music.
The sun streched a warm hello, her fingers tickled Josette's sleeping form with warmth, making the girl moan and turn over not wanting to wake just yet.
(( sorry its short, running out of brain juice ))
Murtagh - January 29, 2008 09:38 PM (GMT)
The night watch was boring. Murtagh had walked over to the stables and groomed some of the horses. Murtagh had gone back to the camp, the moon had fallen and the sun had just partly showed itself. Murtagh transformed into his dragon form, he was huge compared to Arthur and Josette. His wing had healed, he began to flap his wings. Murtagh smiled, is wing had fulled healed and it didn't appear to break when move.
[[Yeah sorry for short post]]

(Salright)
When Arthur finally put his fiddle down and layed to the side he started to sleep. He dreamed, dragon dreams. Yes even dragons dream and what they dream can pertain to future events if the moment is right. Arthur himself dreamed this night of a woman whom he would meet and love and have to fight someone for. Of course it could be a normal dream but when he would wake and remeber he would know it for true.
Arthur was not prophetic but he coudl tell if someone had a future about them. It was a dragon thing such was their ways. Arthur suddenly awoke to the sound of crunching boots and his hand went to his sword and he looekd up and saw it was only the half-dragon. Arthru sat back and sighed and looked about and said," My turn I do belive".
Josette - January 31, 2008 12:24 AM (GMT)
When Josette awoke before dawn it was on Arthur’s watch. He stood, regal looking, gazing at the landscape. The thing that taken from her dreams was a massive breeze, which, to Josette's astonishment, came from a huge creature in itself who she guessed was her other companion Murtagh.
"Early morning." She yawned, smiling. The sun had just began to smile upon the earth, slowly hatching flowers from there curled sleep, awakening song birds who chirped cheerfully and painting a small blush of gold across the sky.
Murtagh - January 31, 2008 02:57 AM (GMT)
Murtagh nodded. "Yes. Sorry about waking you up. You want to go for a ride?" He replied. Murtagh flapped his wings again and walked around the opening, he barely fit in the opening. Murtagh Had drifted off in the night, he constintly dreamed about Josette. She had appeared in a forest several times, Murtagh searched for her and there was a dragon. Murtagh had lost track of the dream after that.
Murtagh had woken before everone else. And thats why he transformed into his dragon form this morning, he didn't want to loose her. He couldn't loose her, Murtagh loved her to much. Murtagh flapped his wings again, he looked over and spotted some fruit hanging from a tree. Murtagh knocked it down and ate some from the tree.
Dar'Vaeg - January 31, 2008 03:53 AM (GMT)
Arthur smiled when Jossette woke up. When she said somethign Arthur replied by saying," Not really, I just like watching the sunrise, I don't know why but I seem to like beautiful things, I guess I got that from my father, though I don't know why she would see my father as that". Arthur laughed hard at that it was good to start the day off with a laugh in his opinion. Arthur smiled and said," It is a good and beautiful morning, sometimes I wish it would stay but life moves on". He sighed to himself and looked and saw Murtagh knocking some food down from a tree.Arthur then said," So how do you like your fruit, cooked or not, or are you hungery".
Josette - January 31, 2008 04:04 AM (GMT)
Famished Josette chortled, rubbing her lean belly. He was right, the morning was gorgeous. She beamed at the both of them. Bending over to retrieve a piece of, ripe tender fruit from the trodden ground she rubbed it on her tunic till it shined, then took a huge, juicy bite, swallowing after a thoughtful chew.
As she munched on her small breakfast she started to amble away from the both of them, getting on her way, not being able to wait to start exploring. When they didn’t follow right away she beckoned to them impatiently, turning slightly toeards them with a wicked grin on her face. This day, she hoped would be interesting.
Murtagh! she called Can you give me lift?! wanting to check out what was over the rise, behind a large grove trees about mile away. Even though she could shift and swoop over there her self she felt like being a little flirtaious and let a guy do something for her for once in her life.
Murtagh - January 31, 2008 04:33 AM (GMT)
Murtagh looked down at her. "Sure. Make sure you hold on tight, I don't want to falling off" Murtagh said. He grabbed her with his huge claw and put her by his neck. "Don't mind the spikes. They help to hold on" Murtagh said. He leaned back, he flapped his wings and took a great big leap into the sky. Murtagh began to flap his wings, he began to rise higher. Once above the trees he sored across the sky. He circled their camp, he broke the circle and headed towards the lake. Murtagh started to fly higher, the lake looked like a pebble. A cool breeze hit him, Murtagh snorted fire and he let out a quite roar. Suddenly Murtagh dropped down towards the lake, Murtagh smiled, he liked to test peoples stomachs to see if they would throw up during flying.
Murtagh laughed and began to spin, he never felt dizzy or sick while flying. The lake was getting closer and larger. Suddenly Murtagh pulled up just before the water, his claws at the back skimmed on the water. "You want more?" Murtagh asked. He flew up and soared again. All around them were trees and several lakes, Murtagh flew above their camp. The trees swayed in the trees, murtagh accelerated and began to rise. After climbing higher for five minutes, he stopped and hovered in the same spot. They would be able to see for miles in any direction.
Dar'Vaeg - January 31, 2008 09:48 PM (GMT)
Arthur sighed as he watched Jossette climb on the back of the other half-dragon. He did not mind gave him some time to think about a certain someone. He grabbed some fruit himself and ate. He watched Jossette go up and he wondered why she didn't shapeshift to get a better look. He shurgged and continued to eat. As he watched her, he saw the half-dragon dive and Arthru jumped up thinking she was going to fall when she didn't Arthru calmed a but watched the dragon fly around.
Arthur said to himself." Show off". Arthur then finished eating and transformed himself into the 12 foot half-dragon he was. He then flew up after them. When the half-dragon stopped Arthur floated slightly beside them. He then said," Good view, dangerous way of getting to it, still the same effect, so how do you like your view".
(Sorry if its bad and short but Im in class right now)
Josette - February 1, 2008 12:27 AM (GMT)
Higher higher! She urged, laughing and sticking her head into the feathery swells of the wind. She felt so free. Her hair twirled about her face, tickling her rosy cheeks. Her nimble fingers traced her mounts cool, glistening scales and her free hand grew slack, falling from the dagger sharp spike she had been clutching.
Arthur was suddenly next to them, and he was stunning in his other form. She grinned giddily in his direction. It wasn’t everyday you got to ride a dragon, even if you could be one yourself it wasn’t her preferred shape.
The sight was spectacular, spring grass rippled in the breeze, horses grazed in the distance. There was no one for miles. Inspiration struck. There was a creek, about a mile yonder, and Josette pointed to the gurgling streak of blue,
There! She announced Ill race you! And with an agile leap she flew from Murtagh’s back, plummeting towards earth. She fell, almost smacking the ground. Most people found her manic but, depending, she loved the rush. A last minute change spared her life from an otherwise gruesome splatter.
Reptilian wings sprouted from her shoulders. Her hands grew enormous and charcoal talons emerged from the tips of her toes and fingers. Her waving hair separated and shimmered into oblivion, neck extending and great, gothic thorns adorned her glimmering, emerald pelt. Her pupils became narrow and almost feline. Josette made a pretty good excuse for a dragon.
Her serpentine tail created great gusts as she charged towards the creek, roaring with laughter, aiming to win the relay.
