Title: salty sea dogs
Description: Pirates ahoy
Dark Angel - January 10, 2008 09:14 PM (GMT)
Angel held her sword close as the ship she sought finally came into view. She looked back at her crew. "Come on now you salty sea dogs, full speed ahead. That booty will soon be ours." A smile crept along her face until she was laughing. "Raise our colors." She shouted over the newest song of rum, beautiful women and booty. The flag was soon at the highest point of the ship waving at the unsuspecting crew of the boat ahead. "I will finally have it. Come on Sea Dragoness, you can make it my love." She whispered to the ship itself. Angel looked around for the captain but knew he was still in the base of the ship. She was first mate and Captain Jarvis had put her in charge for the moment. She smiled widely. She could not wait to own her own ship.
ooc: i am going to buy Sea Dragoness when i can afford a ship... but i am going to kill of the captain... cause a captain would never sell their ship...

Will blinked rapidly as he awoke to sunny rays lighting his face. He clambered out of his little hidey-hole on a merchant's vessel. "Hrm..." He turned his attention to the shape on the horizon, pirate vessel. Perhaps he could finally get off his dull ship. The pirate crept over to where he could get a better view and watched the ship approach. A grin grew across his face as the ship neared even more.
Roncho the Troll - January 24, 2008 11:22 PM (GMT)
Roncho checked the stew "by the god of nature's iron bollocks, the captain expects me to piece together a quality meal with only this bland meat" Roncho thought to himself as he opened the cabinet and checked inside, found a jar of spices labeled "powdered paprika" and added a troll sized pinch to the huge kettle. Roncho shrugged "at least he had good spices and for free, I guess I can't complain." He put the lid on the pot when he heard the first mate yell out "Come on now you salty sea dogs, full speed ahead. That booty will soon be ours." Roncho winced at the thought of the first mate, "I do not trust that woman, she is plotting something, I can feel it in my gut." Roncho made sure not to say that too loudly. Roncho walked up and out of the mess hall and went onto the deck, he looked around to see what all the commotion. He saw the jolly roger being raised and the ship that was slowly getting closer. Roncho checked his brass knuckles that he kept concealed by the sleeves of his tunic. The first mate caught his eye, it almost looked like she was whispering to the ship "strange woman" he said as he stomped back into the mess quarters to check on his stew.
Elexis Sinclaire - January 24, 2008 11:42 PM (GMT)
[ooc* I hope you don't mind if I join in]
Elexis watched as another ship appeared on the horizon, she didn't pay it any mind, this was a trading route, ships crossed paths a lot here. The problem was is that she couldn't swim and if the ship proved hostile, and sunk the merchant mullet that she was on she would be in dire straights. Elexis had gone on this trip to quickly get across the Palanen instead of going around. Something about that ship that made her uncomfortable, just how fast it was approaching and the angle. Elexis didn't know ships very well but something was threatening about that vessel. All of Elexis'es fears were confirmed when a flag was risen on the ship. "just my luck" she said and waited for the fighting to begin.

Angel bellowed more orders as Captain Jarvis stepped up from the bouls of the ship. Angel did not notice him and instead looked up at the burgee flying high above the deck. "You, afterguard." she pointed at a man on the poop deck. "Catch the wind with those sails and we will catch them in no time." Jarvis cleared his throat. The lady pirate's face went red as she realized she was doing it again. She jumped down from the ledge she had been standing on. "Captin' we are closing in on the booty." A smart smile played at her lips. The captain eyed his first mate closely. "Angel, you will be on dogwatch tonight. Maybe that will get your head straight." He turned toward the open deck of the ship. "You are dismissed. Rest up. Darkness will soon be upon us." Jarvis smiled inwardly as Angel slumped and headed for the stairs that led to the forecabin that she and the captain shared.

Will tapped his chin as he watched the pirate ship approaching. The crew of the merchant vessel were swarming about the ship, fetching weapons and readying for a fight. The unnoticed pirate grinned as he imagined how the battle would play out. First the crafts would near each other, then the grappling ropes would go across, then the pirates board, then (if the pirates were good pirates) the ship would be theirs. Perhaps, if he got lucky, Will could join their crew. Pirate's lives were almost always lost in an attack, surely there would be room for one new recruit.

ooc: first i would like to ask.... what happened to everyone that volenteered for this... and second... thank you guys for sticking with it... third...i have been trying to limit my posting.... but i have to keep it up to keep this rp from going dead...
ic: Angel rolled her eyes as she climb the long way to the birds nest. She watched as the sun set on the watery horizon. 'Jarvis, you really are the saltest of sea dogs.' she wispered to herself. 'More like a sea mutt.' A small smile played at the corner of her lips. She sat down in the straw bucket that would be her bed tonight. 'I will show him. Someday I will own my own ship and he will be begging to join my crew. Oh and I will let him, swab my deck that is.' She laughed out loud. Her sharp laughter cut through the cool wind and she covered her mouth. She looked out across the sea at the ship they were pursuing. Some how she felt that everything would change once they reached it.
Roncho the Troll - February 10, 2008 10:24 PM (GMT)
Roncho watched at the first mate climbed up to the crows nest. "strange woman" He said to himself as he walked back into the mess hall and grabbed his mace, he never used the damn thing, but it was nice to have a back up weapon. Roncho continued to think to himself, "I wish I had my harpoon, then I could do something else but wait for the boarding to start." Roncho knew that the captain hired him more for his being a 10 ft. tall troll and he accepted it. He came back up, he saw the ship coming slowly closer, as he looked closer he saw some bow armed sailors getting ready to fire. Roncho really wished that he had his harpoon right now...
Elexis Sinclaire - February 11, 2008 04:16 AM (GMT)
Elexis clutched the bow that some sailor had shoved into her hands and ordered her get into a good firing position. Elexis thought to herself, as she kept the bow string drawn and an arrow ready, "Gods I'm horrible with these things, and this second rate bow doesn't help that much." Her eye's spotted a large troll, her keen eyesight saw that he didn't like the look of all the archers getting ready to fire upon the other ship. A wicked smile graced her lips as she took aim, she probably wouldn't hit her target, but with so many men bunched together she would hit something. She heard the first mate give the order, "ALL BOWS... FIRE!"
Dark Angel - February 12, 2008 06:55 PM (GMT)
The lady pirate shivered as the cold seemed to be gnawing at her bones. She swore under her breathe. "Some day I will see that dreadful captain dead." She looked over the side of the nest. A commotion was going on in the distance. Shouts were carried over the still water and Angel adjusted her eye sight but still could not see what was going on. She stood and started to ring the bell that would wake the ship. Captain Jarvis came bellowing out of his cabin. "What is it you wrench?" Angel rolled her eyes. "There is something going on in the distance Captin'. Sounds like a battle of some sort." The captain shook his head. "Well get your self down here and help man the cannons. Looks like we are going to start now." As the cold woman climbed down the mast the captain started bellowing orders to prepare them for the battle to come.
