Title: Get Trained By A Half-Dragon!
Description: 1 Player At A Time. 1st Come, 1st Serve
Ciraxis - January 9, 2008 12:17 AM (GMT)
A sunny day gets Ciraxis's mood spoiled.
As he looks around the areas, Ciraxis mumbles to himself.
"This damned sun. May it extinguish itself in a manner of minutes." he curses.
But be it as it may, he stands patiently, making an intimidating pose, hoping to lure one dark and evil to learn about physical fighting, and the arts of the dark. Normally, Ciraxis wouldn't do this, but he wouldn't mind seeing one become very strong through the arts of Ciraxis's practices.
He emits flame from his nostrils, in an impatient way. What he thought he had, was what he lacked the most. Patience.
But many people walk past, apparently scared by Ciraxis's brutish form. He smirks at the fact that he is intimidating, but is angry at the other fact that noone is strong enough to train with a dragon. Or, at least, half. He starts thinking to himself of how he was born, and how strange a relation would be with a human and a dragon. Then he thinks of how they mated, and shudders.
"That would scare ME, seeing a black female dragon going on in that way..." A shiver runs down his spine.
Ciraxis has counted 32 people walking past from the past hour. He doesn't understand why people are unable to have some bravery. Maybe it was when he once said 'You don't know the power of the dark side'. It makes him wonder... where did he get that from?
He's about ready to give up and feast on a lion or thirty. His feet are sore from standing in one place with nothing to do but use his talons to dig at the ground in front of him, and he has too much dignity to dig a hole for no reason just to see how deep it can go.
Ah, yes. The pleasure of boredom.
Fang - January 9, 2008 12:34 AM (GMT)
Xuvin squinted and whispered a vile curse aimed at the sun it self. "Why is the damn thing so bright any way." he mumbled, sense he had lost his wizardly powers for the moment, it would be a good idea to polish up his swordsmanship. The drow heard of an arena in the middle of the grasslands he had emerged from, which would be as good a place as any to relearn the art of combat.
Xuvin's legs killed him, they were sore from the long walks he had to endure after he cam the world above, but finally he crested the hill and looked down upon the arena. "About time." he muttered to himself, sense coming to the surface he had been talking to himself a lot, at that though the drow shook his head in disgust and made his way down the hill to the complex.
Once inside he looked around, a large dragon like thing stood by a wall, he made an intimidating figure, Why not start there he thought to himself as he slipped through the crowd, making his way to the half-dragon.
Soon the drow stood in front of the large dragon thing, barely up to the creature’s shoulder he squinted as he looked up, "How are you with that blade?" he asked and nodded his head toward the weapon leaning against the wall next to the creature.
Ciraxis - January 9, 2008 12:50 AM (GMT)
Ciraxis peers down below to observe a drow peering right back. He grins a small bit, as he has been asked that question many times before.
He grabs the blade, and rests the blade on his shoulder, not feeling anything. The sword doesn't even dare try to pierce the scales.
"Well, let's just say you don't want me to hate you." he commented. His large sword was clearly too large for anyone other than the half-dragon Ciraxis is. Ciraxis wields the blade with two hands when he fights, since not even Ciraxis is that strong. Maybe if he was bigger...
He adds a second comment. "Why? Are you interested in it?"
Fang - January 9, 2008 01:02 AM (GMT)
The drow scowled when the half-dragon rested the sword on his shoulder and spoke, "I need to," the drow paused for a moment trying to find the correct words to use, it had been a long time sense he had spoken to any but himself and even longer sense he had used the common tongue. "Practice." the dark elf finished his had flashing to the hilt of his own sword and drawing it in one smooth motion with out a sound, and pointing the tip at the ground.
"Do you desire such practice also?" he asked slowly letting the rough words flow off of his tongue, they were far different from the delicate language of the drow elves. Still squinting the Xuvin's mouth curved into a smile as he looked up at the dragon creature, "So what are you?'' he asked not caring to be subtle.
Ciraxis - January 9, 2008 01:30 AM (GMT)
Ciraxis nods at his request to practice, and rests his blade down, leaning on his hilt as the tip of the blade points down, while on the ground. His massive bulk seemed to shift fluently with Ciraxis's motions.
"I am the result of a black dragon and a human," he responded. "a half-dragon." His voice seemed completely serious since the request of practice.
Not only his voice, but now his whole body was serious, as his free hand was clenched between it's claws, as Ciraxis holds his large blade with one hand, but only to keep it up.
"What are the rules?"
Fang - January 9, 2008 02:22 AM (GMT)
The drow resisted the erg to smile, "Well," he said in a droll tone "Sense neither of us wish to die, I am assuming, how about to first blood." he said, it really wasn't a question. Even though the drow fully expected to lose, he was ready to put up a fight.
The black skinned battle mage lifted his light scimitar the signature weapon of the drow warriors. "Well where shall we fight at, I myself have never been here before." he said looking the tall half-dragon warrior up and down.
Ciraxis - January 9, 2008 02:42 AM (GMT)
Ciraxis grins to himself, seeing as he has another to teach about how to win. He starts heading a direction that seemed as East, seeming to head to a large ring. Spikes aimed towards the center of the circle are all around the edges. Don't fall!
Anyways, he walks in via an entrance, walks to the far side, and turns to face the way he came.
"First blood it is then." he agreed.
Waiting for the drow to get into the ring, he readies his weapon, as he sharpens it with a nearby rock. He seems bored.
Now, Ciraxis has been waiting a long time for any sort of battle, so he's truly eager. What makes him happier is that it is a drow, one of the dark, preferring darkness. Ciraxis couldn't stifle a smile at the fact that the dark elf wished to partake in a session. But he considered the circumstances. The man seems agile, and swift, whilst Ciraxis is heavy, and powerful, but not as fast. He shrugs at himself from the thought. Most likely, Ciraxis should just do a vertical sweep. Oh well.
If the dark elf were to look at Ciraxis again, Ciraxis would be in an impressive ready stance.
Fang - January 9, 2008 01:23 PM (GMT)
Xuvin followed the large half-dragon, to a small stadium ringed with spikes, and then through the arched door way. The drow treaded softly on the blood colored sand, all around there were others practicing. Xuvin turned slowly to look at his opponent a ghost of a smile showed on his face, as the half-dragon went into a ready stance.
The black-skinned warrior lifted his blade and turned his body slightly putting his right foot forward, effectively creating a smaller target. "Ready." he called out, at the same time he lashed out with his sword, aiming at his sparring partners shin.
Ciraxis - January 9, 2008 10:32 PM (GMT)
Ciraxis grinned. "Wrong tactic!"
Ciraxis sent his sword diagonally to the drow's right shoulder, while leaning back, sending his left leg flying towards the Drow's face.
Now, this wasn't all the best move, but it was brutal, it was strong, and it was strategic. If he missed, he had hundreds of ways to get another chance, which was very rare. If he scored, he would have already won the match. Besides, what if the blade doesn't penetrate the [rusty] armour?
Fang - January 9, 2008 11:15 PM (GMT)
Xuvin swore, as the half-dragon's blade came at his shoulder, thinking quickly he threw his lithe body into a roll under the monsters oncoming leg. The sand cushioned his roll; the drow came up sword in front of his body in a purely defensive stance. With a grim smile the drow looked his opponent up and down again, taking in all there was to see, the corded muscles, and huge frame, there was no way he could over power the beast, his only advantage was his speed.
Slowly circling the half-dragon, Xuvin lashed out at the monster, testing his opponents defense, and also look for an opening.
Ciraxis - January 9, 2008 11:23 PM (GMT)
Ciraxis was parrying.
When the drow sent a strike, Ciraxis was quick to dodge or knock the blade away. His only unfortunate thing was that his blade was heavy, and he couldn't move as fast as the Drow could. Still, very good speed for his stature.
Whenever Ciraxis got the chance, he would sent his fist straight to the drow's face, taking the risk of balance with one hand temporarily. He always quickly returned his hand back to the blade to prevent it from falling. Who knows, this could be a good battle.
The drow had the speed, but Ciraxis had the bulk.
Fang - January 9, 2008 11:36 PM (GMT)
Judging from the way the dragon man was slinging his large blade around he was going to get tired soon. All the drow had to do was wait for his chance, stay light on his feet and hold on.
Xuvin took his time, circling the large creature, throwing a well-aimed slash every couple of minutes, the beast's swings were close, but his punches were practically useless.
As the half-dragon punched out, the drow stepped back and sent his blade at the creatures, closed hand.
Ciraxis - January 10, 2008 12:13 AM (GMT)
Ciraxis quickly jumped to a conclusion.
Heavy swipes were not necessary OR useful for an agile person such as the drow. And throwing punches was stupid. He was pretty dumb for thinking the would be useful.
Ciraxis started concentrating on his swipes, making them faster, and hopefully, more accurate, all in time able to dodge blows---"Gah!"
Ciraxis quickly retracted his hand, and quickly inspected it. He could swear he could see blood. He took a step back, and observed it. Apparently, the scimitar slid between his middle fingers, but not at the tendon. At the same time, Ciraxis was closing the space between his fingers, so the sides of the scimitar rubbed against, but didn't cause damage.
"Tricky little drow." he commented, which was, in turn, a compliment.
But in the midst of his sentence, he quickly sent his Two Handed Sword hurling to the drow's shoulder at high velocity.
Fang - January 10, 2008 03:55 AM (GMT)
"Tricky little drow." the creature called out just before he started to move his sword again. The drow lifted his sword to parry. Sparks flew as the blades meet, as the half-dragons blade slid dow his sword and came to a stop at the hilt, the giant blade nicked the drow's knuckle.
Xuvin quickly untangled his blade and slid it into the sheath on his back, "Good fight." he said in an accented common, and then "You win."
The drow shifted his feet in the sand waiting for a return of words from the Half-dragon.
Ciraxis - January 10, 2008 04:09 AM (GMT)
Ciraxis... smiles?
"A good fight you put up there. Very fast. Very manueverable. I like how you were able to control yourself in front of a massive sword to your face." he commented.
"I feel you are worthy enough that I could start letting you know about the swordsmanship skills. I am one for heavy blades, so you could learn about that." he said again.
"You may choose to learn, or you may walk away, if not wish to spar again." Ciraxis folded his arms, as if in judgement, as he waits.
"Decide."
Fang - January 10, 2008 04:15 AM (GMT)
As the Half-dragon, talked the drow looked around, turning his head this way and that, watching the other combatants. "I have nothing better to do." He said, "What can you teach me?"
The drow's hand shot up to his sword and in one smooth motion pulled it from it's sheath without a sound. The steel caught the light of the sun, reflecting it onto the mud wall of outdoor arena.
Ciraxis - January 10, 2008 04:23 AM (GMT)
Ciraxis eyed the drow, once again, before speaking.
"I am only strong in two handed swords. Are you a two handed swords person?" he requested.
Ciraxis WAS just the bulky type. He's going to get some good platemail soon, however. After asking his question, Ciraxis peered around as well, to observe the crowds and commotions. He eyed some locals, appalled at the fact that a half-dragon was here. He shrugged, waiting for an answer. Again.
Fang - January 10, 2008 04:35 AM (GMT)
Once agian the drow sheathed his sword, "I do not weild the large swords." he said pointing to the sword in the half-dragon's hands to make his point, "To slow." Xuvin said with a disgusted snort.
A few of the men were eyeing the pair, and muttering curses to them sellves. With his elven hearing he could make out most of those curses. As a trio of men strode over to the pair. The dark elf looked at his sparring partner "It looks as if we have some company." he said sighing he took out his sword once more.
Ciraxis - January 10, 2008 04:43 AM (GMT)
Ciraxis grins. "I was getting hungry anyways." He smirks at the pair entering, as they seem a bit intimidated, but determined.
Ciraxis wasn't one for wanton slaughter. Oh wait, yes he was! He quickly pulled out his weapon. "This is going to be delightfully fun!" he comments as he readied himself oncemore.
OOC: Sorry for the short post. I do realize it is under quality. By the way, for now on, I am going to put my text green and my chat yellow.
Fang - January 10, 2008 01:15 PM (GMT)
As both of the companions readied their weapons the trio of men moved closer, circling them, "I thought we told you once already, nobody wants your kind around, you stink up the place." A giant of a man said, presumably the leader of the bunch, he was caring a battle-axe and had a long red beard, but his head was shaved bald.
One of the other men spoke up also, "And take that black dog with you." just as he stopped talking. Xuvin launched him self at he small man that called him a dog. Slashing with his sword, the man barely had enough time to parry the attack with his long spear.
While Xuvin fought his man, the other two converged on the Half-dragon, thinking him the stronger fighter of the two, and they were right, and they would pay for it.
Xuvin wove his sword in an ever changing pattern the human warrior, could barely keep up with the flashing blade, all the while the drow laughed, and hatred shown in his eyes. "Soon this sand will have your blood." he hissed to the man he was fighting.
The man though he had saw an opening and thrust his spear at the drow's chest, but Xuvin dance out of the way, and cut the head of the spear of with a wild over head slash.
The drow stalked toward the man, his sword still moving in complex patterns, but his enemy would have none left with his spear broken, he dropped the shaft that remained and fled running as fast as he could.
Ciraxis - January 10, 2008 03:27 PM (GMT)
Ciraxis grins. "Simple. Destroy."
He quickly lunges himself at the two combatants, cleaving his swords at them, as one of the combatants raise his sword in defence. In failure, he misses his block, and gets cleaved in half. The other combatant, however, was quick to react, and jumped back.
"Your turn.
Fang - January 11, 2008 12:12 AM (GMT)
As the red bearded man was watching his partner get sliced in half, he almost dropped his axe. The drow took this opportunity to cut the tendons on the back of his legs. Screaming in pain the large man fell to the ground, his yelling changed into a loud gurgle as blood exploded from the new slit on his throat.
Xuvin stood over the man straddling his body, the drow lifted his head and let out a primal shout, as he hacked the dead body a few more times for good measure, the thrust his bloody sword into the corpse's chest cavity.
The dark elf tore the blade out and wiped the bloody sword blade on the dead man's cloak. Then he sheathed the blade. "I think it might be time to go." The drow said looking over his shoulder at the Half-dragon.
Ciraxis - January 11, 2008 12:23 AM (GMT)
Ciraxis thought that would be the best idea, as the people are drawing their weapons, even though most of them have fainted.
"Agreed. Need a lift?" Ciraxis inquired to the drow, as his picks up the bodies. "I've got dinner."
Ciraxis waits for a response, a sly smirk on his face.
OOC:Apologies for the short post.
Fang - January 11, 2008 02:08 AM (GMT)
Xuvin scowled as he looked at the half-dragon, wings extended holding the bodies of their fallen enemies, for devouring later. "No, I'll be fine." he said with a nod. The dark elf took of at a run; the blood splattered sand shifting beneath his feet.
Thinking quickly the agile elf scaled the spiked wall and ran into the stands surrounding the out door stadium. Just as he got into the stands, a group of guards armed to the teeth, and following the lone survivor of the group that attacked the drow and half-dragon, flooded into the arena through one of the three entrances. Several combatants blocked the other two with drawn weapons.
The dark elf looked around and headed for the stairs that would bring his freedom, walking briskly, he was almost there. Then he heard a scream, without looking back he took of at a run.
Ciraxis - January 11, 2008 05:13 AM (GMT)
Ciraxis grins at his savagery.
He was simply dispatching a few people, and leaving. He grabbed three bodies, obviously dead, and flew out of the area, high in the sky. He saw a pack of guards run towards the area, so Ciraxis jabbed a stick through one of the dead bodies, and threw it like a javelin towards the guards.
The guards were walking, wondering what was happening.
"Oy, what's that blot in the sky? It's getting bigger." one of the guards asked. The sun blinded their view, so it was hard to tell. It was as if a pole and something was on it.
"I think it's coming right towards us. Spread out! Move!" said the apparent commander of the squad.
But as the javelin gets hurled, one guard was late to react. He screamed as the 'javelin' pierced his chest, bursting out the other side. He falls to the ground, dead.
Ciraxis grinned at the destruction, feeling the urge just to intimidate them by biting ones' head off. Nevertheless, he had to get out of here for now. Too many guards. He flies quickly, basically the same direction as the drow, as he observes him. A keen smirk plants on Ciraxis's face as he sees the drow's attempt at fleeing. Now, Ciraxis isn't going to hurt him, but it's amusing how the drow cannot fly.
He goes low, and would be seen trailing the drow, smirking.
Fang - January 11, 2008 11:58 PM (GMT)
As Xuvin sprinted through the crowded cobble stone streets, around the out door arena, he glanced over his shoulder, looking right into the eyes of the half-dragon. Who was following the drow through the air, acting like a beacon, showing the guards exactly where he was.
The Dark elf cursed and ran into a dark ally, once in he was out of the street, the drow walked from door to door, twisting the handles, until a large iron bound door opened up. Breathing heavily the drow glanced around and stepped through the portal.
Ciraxis - January 12, 2008 03:29 AM (GMT)
Ciraxis scowled at the lack of fun. He peeks through the door.
"Oh come on, you coward!" he exclaimed.
Drows were never much fun. Ciraxis was sure they could take them all down. Unfortunately, the drow ruined it for eachother, so Ciraxis flew off to home, carrying two delicious bodies with him.
