Centuries ago, three holy priests from the Sanctuary of Angels made the decision that action needed to be taken against the powerful forces of evil. Being powerful holy spellcasters themselves, they gathered a few more that believed in the ideals of holiness. Together, seven paladins formed the Keepers of the Sacred Deed, intent on resisting the evil that was spreading across the realm.

It is said that as the years passed, members faded away, but new members were inducted into the guild. All members were devout believers in the ideals of holiness, for the Keepers were said to be the most holy of holy mortals within the realm of Arda. Still, through the many years their existence had become little more than a myth, as their activity had dwindled to none.

With the start of the war, however, new and terrible threats forced the Keepers to resurface and silence evil once more. High atop the mountains of the Erod Annon, a new group of holy mortals gathered under the direction of Avennian, the Guardian of Holiness, in secret to stand up to Raku and his army. But the revival of the group was short lived as Avennian ascended to Aman and left the Keepers without leadership or direction. They quickly disbanded. The attempt at revival was branded a failure.

But one founding members of the former guild refused to give up. Still believing in the ideals and principals that led Avennian to remake the Keepers, Sraxen Stoneshield decided that Arda needed the guild to be rebuilt, stronger than ever, to stand up to the might of evil. Taking with him the knowledge and experience of being in the second iteration of the group, he made great strides in revamping and redefining the purpose and direction of the new Keepers of the Sacred Deed. The first order of business was to find another likeminded individual that would help to see the new guild through. Grégoire Del Istolla filled that role. The second order of business was to construct a new guild hall, and they planned to locate it in the Sanctuary of Angels, the holiest city in the realm.



As some of you know, this isn't the first guild named "Keepers of the Sacred Deed" to grace Arda! But this isn't simply a rebirth of the old guild. We believe we have improved upon the original. The idea of the new Keepers of the Sacred Deed is to unite the good people of Arda in the struggle against evil. We will be warriors, fighters, and crusaders, but more importantly we will be friends, comrades, and allies. The founders believe in holiness and the prosperity of good over evil and they seek to spread that message. We have a strong connection to the benevolent deities of Arda, and encourage our members to follow their teachings.


The Keepers do not have a solid hierarchy system. There is no advancement and there are no ranks. Everyone in the guild is on an equal level, even the two co-founders, Gregoire and Sraxen. The leadership will be approachable and equal. Hierarchies and social structure do not breed the type of camaraderie that the guild is aiming for.


Apart from being extremely active IC in the world of Arda, the Keepers of the Sacred Deed plan on being an active OOC group of close friends.

On the IC side of things, we plan to have many special events to help our characters unwind from the bitter struggle between good and evil. The Keepers realize that the world isn’t all about killing bad guys and taking names! Guild events will include picnics, dances, and other planned activities, perhaps even with prizes! We are the happy fun-time guild :D And although they will not be our main focus, we plan on holding guild-only missions, including a few that will go up as soon as the guild is created. Guild-wide story arcs are also planned, in order to keep the interest level high, and to assure that being a part of the guild is a rewarding experience for your character.

As far as OOC activities go, we believe strongly that the guild should be close friends even outside the world of Elves and Dwarves. We plan to foster friendships in our OOC forums, where our members can talk, be themselves, and get to know each other.




The Keepers of the Sacred Deed hope to work very closely with B.A.D.I. The Keepers could use the skills of the mercenaries, and will perhaps hire them to help in various missions. Furthermore, we plan on sending emissaries to B.A.D.I.’s guild hall in order to keep in close contact with Sartana and his members. The benevolent guilds must work together if we plan on resisting the surge of evil that is forming once more.

- Your character must be good or neutral
- You must always seek to improve your writing skills, and be willing to learn from your fellow members
- You must have fun
- You must try to be active in the guild, both IC and OOC. We want you to be an important part of the Keepers



A lot of people contributed to the development of Keepers of the Sacred Deed 2.0. Avennian is obviously to be commended for conceptualizing the first iteration of the guild, and his influence is widely felt. All of the original guild members also had a hand in bringing about this new idea, because they proved that the guild had potential and deserved a second shot. Finally, Zenith Meria should be acknowledged for directly coming up with the great idea to bring back one of the finest guilds in Arda. Without his idea, you would not be reading this post.

EDIT: Oh, and Damos, it's almost certain that BADI will give you a quicker entry to the guild than we can offer you into ours. Our guild still needs to be officially approved and created, whereas BADI is already running. If patience is the only thing affecting your decision your best bet is to stay with BADI ;)

As Al probably knows, I won't be able to participate in the guild topics for awhile, as some major character progression is goin' down in my 60k, and I need that to take place. However, don't fret, if I get off my lazy bum and reply to a topic on Furion, I might be able to finish it by the end of the weekand, :D

Now its not just because Stella joined, I was going to join: I was just unsure if Naois would live or not. Stella was just another positive factor.
