Title: The Undying Flower
Description: Anyone can join in!

Amaranth - December 31, 2007 07:38 AM (GMT)
Rain danced along the concrete of the path outside one stormy and dreadful night in Arda. There was no one upon the streets after so late in the night, everyone was either asleep in their beds in their cozy homes. It sounded so right on a night like this, so graceful, so Angelic.

The lightening from the thunder lit up the Church of the Sanctuary where a inside, a young Drow, probably at the age of six, was knelt down in front of a coffin. Long blue longs brushed against her back as she is heard crying mournful tears.

Inside the casket laid her father, who had died in battle, the great Ranger of the Dark Elves - Drizzt Do'Urden was dead. He left his only child behind. The cries of the now orphanned children grew thunderous. "Daddy...why did you go? Why did you leave me all alone?" she said through painful tears, "Why, Daddy, why?" the sounds of an paino played sorrowfully as scene music.

The scene fades away as it fades into the girl, leaning against the wall of the Church with her arms crossed over her breasts. A tear from the flash back crept its way down her dark complextion, leaving a shadowed streak behind.

Amaranth watched as young Drows play around near the playground across from the Church, sighing softly. She is now at the age of eight-teen and ever since her father died, she has been alone. She had no parents to support her. Her mother, Zudenya Ferr, died while giving birth to her. She had not one friend, except a black cat with hazel eyes named Pywhackette, he belonged to her mother. But even a feline wasn't as good as a real friend, she was always very shy.

There were no records of what happened to her after Drizzt Do'Urden died - no information on adoption or anything. We can all assume that she raised and trained herself to be independent like her father. Amaranth's beauty was succulant and rare just like her mother's. There was something different about this lady Drow, though - it was her hair. What's this? Royal blue and not white? No. Her hair was a symbol of how rare and majestic she truely was, including her eyes which were a glistening stunning silver.

Too bad, though, no male Drow did want her. It was the time of the stage of growing to get her first taste of sex - for she was a virgin. It was almost time for her to breed for the first time in her life, but she truely doubted that, as she rolled her eyes hopelessly just thinking about it. Amaranth twirled at her now - lucious ankle-length hair, which ran like a waterfall down her back and a bit over her shoulders.

She gazed up at the Summer's sky and thought to herself, "Will I ever find love or a man?"she sighed, she knew it was once again - hopeless. Perhaps it was because of what her name meant. Amaranth - An undying flower. Question is though...is she willimg to keep trying to find that true love of hers? Let's hope so.

Samuel - December 31, 2007 09:07 PM (GMT)
This, more than any other, was the place that Samuel had wished to visit since his arrival in Arda. The sanctuary of the Angels, a place built in the image of Lothlómendil. A place of peace, where any Ardian may come to reflect on life. It, as its name suggests, is a place of sanctuary; a place where violence or havoc would simply not be tolerated. Oddly though, Samuel felt no sense of vendetta or bitterness this day. He had come here out of nothing but a guilty curiosity.

He had placed himself somewhere fairly out of sight, so as to avoid any confrontation; he was sitting on top of a small building, made entirely of white marble. He thought it was a library, judging from the fact that every time someone exited the building, they seemed to have a book in their hands. Opposite the library was a playground and to the right of the playground was the large and beautiful church. Samuel was becoming much mellower the longer he stayed in Arda; he had come here hoping for reasons to be angry. Unfortunately, all he could see right now were people going about their day happily and children playing in the playground. They looked so… deliriously content with their life.

His heart began to warm and this simply infuriated him; what was wrong with him? Why was this touching him so? He forced himself to look away, and this is when his eyes fell upon the only person in this Sanctuary who looked in as much mental turmoil as he was. She was a Drow, this much Samuel knew, but her hair… her hair was indefinably unique and beautiful with its brilliant blueness. She looked so very frustrated and unhappy; he wondered how anyone so mesmerizing could be so unhappy?

He watched her for a few minutes more, as she stared at the children playing. He jumped down off the building top, landing on the large wooden cart that was parked at the side of the library. He stepped down off of it and walked slowly in the direction of the church, passing the playground as he went. She was looking down, twirling a lock of her hair, and so she did not see him approach. It briefly occurred to Samuel that Drow’s supposedly had very good hearing, so she probably was aware that someone was approaching her. Why didn’t she look up?

He got within five or six feet of her and before making himself known. ”Why? … Why are you so sad?” he asked quietly and stood there awaiting her answer.

Amaranth - December 31, 2007 10:29 PM (GMT)
The night had turned into day already and the rain had dried up, leaving the concrete of the streets cold and damp. But she was still inside the church, why? was the question to be asked. Indeed, she heard the sly footsteps of the person approaching behind her as she was knelt down by where her father's casket had laid many years ago when she was just a small child.

Hearing him approach her, she tweaked her elven ears as she kept her eyes on the table where the coffin once was, Everyday she came in there to pray, for she loved Drizzt Do'Urden, her father, her only family left was now dead and she was now alone in the world - judged by her hair color by other Drows. For one thing, it certainly wasn't easy being her. Poor dear thing, she was.

"Why are you here?" she spoke in a whisper as she kept her gaze on the table, candles were dimly lit to their extent. Her stunning silver optics opened slowly as she moved to her feet. Thuds from her heavy, black combat boots are head as she went to stand, letting her vibrant blue hair flow down the curves of her back to her smoother, soft ankles.

The Drow turned her head to look over her shoulder, eyes erect in his direction, those beautiful glittering eyes of hers. He was right, she was unique with a majestic beauty that other female Drows were envious about - one of the reasons why she was picked on as a youngling.

"Who are you?" she asked firmly, not used to other people near her, she rather got nervous quickly or got defensive, due to her abusive childhood. Her eyes narrow at him, as she moved a hand to her back, grasping the hilt of her father's sword.

Samuel - December 31, 2007 11:14 PM (GMT)
OOC- Sorry about that, I misunderstood and thought you were outside of the Church. Anyway, I get where you are now... I hope! In character again from here on out.

Her reaction to his arrival took him by surprise; he had been so taken aback by her enigmatic appearance and demeanour that the possibility of her being remotely threatening had not crossed his mind. He considered using his newly found telepathic abilities to discover why she had reacted so nervously to his arrival, but something held him back; was it respect for other peoples privacy? Or even possibly fear? She was mysterious, and who knew whether or not she could tell when he was in her head. After a moment’s consideration as he looked her in the eye for the first time, he realised that she was not violent of dangerous, merely afraid.

This stirred an unexpected emotion in him; he had come here looking for reasons to be angry and bitter and had been hard pressed to find one... until now. This girl, seemingly pure and graceful, had been driven to fear by a corrupt land; this young girl was the epitome of everything he had been trying to convince people of for months: that Arda had been neglected by the Ainur to the point of ultimate corruption. He forced these emotions to one side, doing his best not to alarm the Drow.

”Don’t be afraid. This place, after all, is a place of Sanctuary. I could do you no harm even if I wanted to, which I promise you I do not.” he said, taking a few steps back to try and reassure her slightly. He noticed now that her hand had gripped a sword. “To answer your questions, however, my name is Samuel and I am here merely to visit a place that I had not yet had the pleasure to visit.” he pulled his eyes away from hers for the first time and looked beyond her to the large table she was kneeling next to. He stared at the candles for a few seconds before backing away a few more steps and taking a seat on the edge of a nearby pew.

”If, however, you were being slightly more specific and asking why I am here in this very church at this very moment, the answer is simple: I want to know why you are sitting in a church alone. I want to know why you look so very desperately sad. Please… enlighten me.” He progressed through this sentence very slowly, thinking out every word so as to make sure not to say anything that could be construed as threatening. He leant forward on the pew, elbows on knees with his hands together in front of him and looking in to the startling eyes of the young Drow.

Amaranth - December 31, 2007 11:47 PM (GMT)
As the Angel looked into her eyes, it caused her past to warp through an endless eternity. It first showed her mother, Zudenya Ferr, a beautiful Drow like herself, but she did not bare the hair that was the same as her daughter's. Her mother was pregnant with a child - Amaranth. A tragic scene blew through the introduction of her sweet, sweet mother, to the scene when she was giving birth to the blue haired Drow, her death. Her mother died while having Amaranth because she was too young and Drizzt's seed has too powerful to bare. It then took him to her later childhood at the age of six when her father, the great Dark Elf ranger, Drizzt Do'Urden got killed. For a few moments it paused at the scene of her kneeling down upon her father's coffin in the church they were standing in.

The childhood memories blacked out from the man's mind as she blocked the rest of it off, not wishing to show him what happened after her parents past away. She stared at him, she sensed that he was not a threat, but mere gentleness. Amaranth gave a heavy sigh as she loosened her grasp upon the hilt of the sword. As she did that, a small black cat with eyes of hazel, jumped upon her shoulder and sat there, his eyes too, were glared at the man.

The Drow stood still as a stone, letting her beauty be revealed to him fully. Her eyes seemed to soften along with her expression on her face. "My name's Amaranth..." she said quietly as she moved her gaze down to the ground, blue strains cloaked her left eye.

"I am sad because I have no one to love me, you see my parents died when I was a little girl, I've been all alone since. And having the rare hair didn't help as the other young Drows made fun of me." The Drowess finally admitted, "I finally realize that...being alone is better," she looks up at the man with sad eyes, a tear fall from them, "No one can hurt you."

Samuel - January 1, 2008 01:20 AM (GMT)
Samuel gets to his feet and pulls a white handkerchief from his shirt pocket. He walks towards her, and hands her the handkerchief. ”Wipe your eyes, Amaranth." As the Drow extends her hand to take the handkerchief, he grips it slightly before releasing her and allowing her to take the handkerchief. He turns his back on her and begins to pace very slowly.

”I am sorry to hear about your parents. This world can be such a very cruel and dark place at times. Sometimes it really isn’t fair at all, is it? Your mother and father, I am sure though, left this world as happy as they could possibly be knowing they had brought such a wonderful child in to Arda." He looks her in the eye with a sympathetic smile. He stopped pacing and stood directly in front of her, still looking her in the eye.

”As for your hair: to hell with your victimisers. You are no longer a child, forced to idly sit by and listen to taunts. You are a beautiful and charming young lady, and you should treasure every thing about yourself, even if it has been responsible for horrors in your past." He paused for a moment; was he comforting someone? Simply deciding that he no longer wanted to destroy civilization was one thing, but actually going to the trouble of making it better? What was wrong with him? He brushed aside these thoughts, saving them for when he was alone and could properly fathom them.

"I have been in this land for but a few months now, but I have already discovered quite a few things. Firstly, I have discovered, as I have mentioned, that this world can be such a very cruel and spiteful place; a place of sadness and horrors. But you see, what I am beginning to see quite clearly and for the first time is that all you can do is try and make your life as happy as possible, and simply hope that those cruel things do not befall you. And so, you must never accept being alone and unhappy as your fate. You must want more… you must demand more! You must take more!” He spoke loudly for the first time in his encounter with the young Drow. He was no longer afraid of intimidating her, and felt he had to emphasise his point. He wanted- no, he needed her to understand that the path she had chosen was not the right one.

OOC - Sorry for the really poor quality here. Its 1am on New Years Eve and I may or may not be slightly drunk. I shall say no more.

Amaranth - January 1, 2008 01:42 AM (GMT)
As this young naive Drow listened to the Angel's words, her eyes started to dry up from the tears she cried. The pain and sorrow seemed to demolish themselves away from her soul. A smile, a soft one, reached her black lips as she gazed up at the man speaking to her. She turned herself around completely, for she turned away before and made her way to him with grace in each step she took.

"Your words are kind, sir. For it is true, what you're saying and it is bringing better moods upon myself," she says sweetly as she smiles more brilliantly to Samuel, "I appreciate your help, dearest Samuel...is it? I truly do." She finished her words, she gazed at the man once more and stepped a bit more closer, pressing a sweet, soft kiss upon his cheek. "So what if I'm different? I'm beautiful and I'm proud!" she exclaimed happily. "To Hell to others who think otherwise!"

She paused, a warm sensation consumed around her...within her..filling her with a feeling that's unexplained, even to herself. Within her, the beating heart of this Drow grew and sped up its pumps. She was in love, could this be true love at first sight? perhaps it could be.

Amaranth pulled away from the Fallen Angel in front of her and smiled once again to him, "Would you like to go somewhere..more...well..uh..romantic?" she asked nervously, but in a sweet way so he didn't notice.

Samuel - January 1, 2008 02:24 AM (GMT)
The spot on his cheek that had been kissed by the Drow’s dark lips seemed to become numb. It was the first time in his 223 years of existence that he had ever been kissed; ever been offered any sign of affection at all. It caught him slightly off guard, but he was still happy that she was finally happy; happy that she knew his words to be true.

He smiled back at her as she took a step or two back. The question she asked him now bemused him slightly; for a very old and very righteous person, he was really rather naïve at times. Real emotions were a very new thing to him, after all. All he had previously experienced was pure bliss, and he had now been forced in to a world of conflict and confusion.

He didn’t really understand what she meant, but he liked her and wanted the company. He was tired of walking the planes of Arda alone. Even if it was for just a brief period, he wanted to be with someone; particularly as he had found it difficult to find anyone in Arda whom he liked enough to spend time with.

”It would be a pleasure. Though there are many, many beautiful places throughout Arda." He turned around and marched to the Oak doors of the Church. He pushed the doors open and turned back to her, arms crossed behind his back, smiling jovially at her. "So, dear Amaranth… lead the way to the location of your choice."

OOC- Ha! And you thought your post was short. I blame it on the booze again. Anyway, throw up a new thread wherever you want to progress this RP when you have time. I'll reply when I have recovered. :xmastongue:

Amaranth - January 1, 2008 04:13 PM (GMT)
Just like him, that was her first time ever kissing anyone, her feelings were warm and her smile was sweet. She nodded her head as she walked towards the church's door to lead the way to a beautiful scenery. As they both stepped outside in the bright sunlight of the crisp morning, her eyes closed tightly and paned her for a moment or two. She wasn't used to the vibrant light just yet. We walked side by side, around the city. She had lead them to a water fountain, where as they walked together, springs of water sprung up and sprayed them. They are heard laughing with glee, so happy.

Months went by and they've gotten closer and closer to each other. The affection they gave one another was sweet, passionate, and loving. Amaranth was sitting on the porch of the place where Samuel was staying at. She loved him more each and every day, she took a sip of her apple cider from the coffee mug she held in her hands. She knew that her lover would be leaving soon and she'll be all alone again. She did not want that, and was sure he didn't either.

A sigh escaped her dark lips as she heard him walk out to sit by her, she gazed up at him and then, she burst in a ever-lasting cry. Her wraps clung to him as she nuzzled her face into his chest. Love for her was rare, she loved him very much, she did not want him to leave her here. "Please don't go!" she says through her sobbing, "I'll be lonely again and I don't want that and I know you don't either. Please stay with me..I have room in my castle for you to stay! Please don't leave me."

Her body shuddered as she let out strong, heavy cries. Cries of love and sadness she was birthing from her emotions. She wanted him to stay with her, she was deeply in love with this Angel and it'd be an honor if he wanted a family with her. "Please..don't go, Samuel...my Angel.." she says softly as she gazed down at the ground.

Samuel - January 1, 2008 05:21 PM (GMT)
He stared at her with slightly regretting eyes. He cared for the Drow more than he ever knew he was capable of caring for a living being, but it was not in his nature to stay in a place of comfort; he had been banished to Arda for becoming restless in his previous home, and he knew in time if he stayed here he would grow restless again. And the last time he became restless, he became angry and then he became dangerous. He was a relatively peaceful, if highly passionate, person now; he did not want this to change and so he had no choice but to go.

”I… I have to go, Amaranth. I can't stay here forever.” He said consolingly. Amaranth released him of the hug and Samuel took a step or two back. He was saddened by her tears, and so he considered his options. He could not possibly stay here forever; this was certainly not an option by any stretch of the imagination. What were the other options? And then it occurred to him; it was so glaringly obvious he wandered why he had not previously suggested it. He thought quickly as Amaranth stared at the ground weeping. ”Come with me. I have something I want to show you." He gripped her hand and lead her inside the small room he had been residing in. It was a really quite dingy and unpleasant abode, but it was all Samuel had needed.

He stood side by side, hand in hand with Amaranth in the middle of the room. He closed his eyes and concentrated and for the first time since his arrival in the Sanctuary, he used the magic that he had learned in his travels. The walls of the room were replaced by a stunning cloudless blue sky and the ground below was replaced by stunningly green grass. They were in the Salquedor Grasslands, or so it appeared.

”It’s not real. It’s just an illusion. We’re still in that little room in the Sanctuary of the Angels. But this place… I’ve travelled across it before. I have fought monsters and walked side by side with great creatures of all race and species. I have seen great cities and visited great temples. The land of Arda is boundless in its unfathomable mysteries. This is why I must go, you see. I am a wanderer. All I know is to search and explore, and I can't rest until I have fulfilled my desires and my curiosities. I have to continue my journey and travel throughout the land, meeting new people and seeing new things.”

He said all this over the course of a few minutes, as Amaranth stood in silence looking at the scenery that Samuel had created with his magic. Large birds flew over head as Samuel paused in speaking. ”It is time, I think, for you to begin your journey too. Join me in voyaging the land of Arda, sweet Amaranth. I have such sights to show you. He smiled charismatically and waited for Amaranth’s answer.

OOC- Funny, but I was more eloquent when drunk.

Amaranth - January 1, 2008 05:47 PM (GMT)
As they stood together in front of his magical creation. Her eyes still glittering the tears, but she followed him there. She did not want him to go, but he had no other choice but to. As he explained to her why he had to leave her, she nodded sadly. Oh, sweet sorrow. Will she be alone forever? Will she die lonely? Love was hurtful and she was just experiencing that with her virgin heart.

All the nights they had laid in bed together, exhausted from creating love and lust, falling asleep and waking up next to each other with bright smiles upon both of their faces. And now...maybe all of those moments of both of them would end and just become memories.

Her hand still held by his, she gazed up with a crimson shading upon her dark cheeks. "You mean.....leave with you and be together, wandering together, and becoming a family during the journey?" she questions as she looked away. Arda was her birth place, but it gave too many unpleasant and painful memories of her parents to her.

Looking back at him, she nodded once - it was time to let go of her past and look towards her future with Samuel, their future of journeying, children, and happiness of all of that. She wanted to let go of her past finally and focus on the man she loved - Samuel.

"Yes, I will go with you," she answered seconds later, "I will stay by your side, always." She smiled as she stepped back, "So....when do we leave, Samuel? Shouldn't we pack?"

Samuel - January 1, 2008 07:16 PM (GMT)
He beamed down at her before embracing her in a passionate hug. He didn’t really know what love was anymore, so he could not tell if he really loved her, but he wanted to continue spending his time with her. He had spent far too much time alone and had no desire to resume this trait. He let go of the pretty young Drow and as he did so, the illusionary effect that had surrounded them vanished and they reappeared inside the small room (which was scarce of any personal effects of Samuel’s, other than a cloak hanging on the back of the door and a small rucksack sitting on a chair beside the bed).

”I have very little, perhaps nothing at all, that needs to be packed.” he walked passed her, gathered up his rucksack and pulled the cloak from the door. ”There is nothing keeping us here, so we leave today; as soon as you are ready. I’ll make arrangements as to our means of travel and our destination and you prepare yourself. Go find Pywhackette and gather all your things and prepare yourself, for you are about to take the first step on a never ending stairwell. To use a cliché, this is the first day of the rest of your life.” and with these words, he pulls open the door and exits the room, leaving Amaranth to prepare herself for the voyage ahead.

Samuel walks through the city street, walking passed people going about their daily routines. He thought long and hard about how they would reach their destination, because truthfully he had already decided on where they were going. They would go to Ondolond, perhaps buy some supplies and rest up. Samuel had missed this freedom; the freedom to go anywhere by any means and not have to think about the possible consequences. It was such an indescribably wonderful feeling.

He supposed they would have to hitch a ride with someone, but this was not always possible. He had no other means of transportation at the time and was concerned they may have to walk. This would not bother Samuel, but he was feared Amaranth may tire. If they had to walk, they would just have to stop halfway and rest up.

The thrill of planning his journey once more had made him truly happy and he let out a low chuckle. He assumed Amaranth had reached her home by now and was preparing her things, and he wondered how she felt. Was she happy? Nervous? Scared? Or maybe she already regretted agreeing to come with him? As he looked for someone who was heading to Ondolond (preferably on a cart that had enough room for two passengers), he continued to wonder what was going through the mind of his soon-to-be travel companion.

Amaranth - January 1, 2008 09:06 PM (GMT)
As he left, she went immediately to her father's castle where she lived. It was gloomy and the darkness befitted the huge place. She made her way up the dusty spiral starcase calling for her cat, "Pywhackette! Oh, Pywhackette, we're leaving home!" she called to her most trusted friend and pet.

Just then, a 'pitter patter' of little paws are heard on the ceramic floors upstairs. As she made her way upstairs to pack her things, the black cat with hazel eyes made his approach and leaped onto her lithe shoulder. She gave a smile, "There you are!" she greeted her cat, scratching behind his ears. Amaranth went to her room where she found her backpack on the ground by the hutch, Samuel had put it there for her.

Finishing making her bed before packing, Amaranth picked up the empty dark blue backpack and filled it with her clothing and family heirlooms from her mother and father and lastly packed supplies for Pywhackette. She'll miss those mornings waking up next to Samuel after a night of sweet love making. Perhaps they could find something more exciting, like a dinner at a restaurant they'll come across. After all, Arda is a huge continent. She placed her backpack on her back and put Pywhackette in his carrier, dashing out the door.

Amaranth arrived outside in the sunset, the pink rays shadowing her structure's outline. She smiles as she steps toward Samuel, Oh, his gorgeous crimson locks drove her mind into sweet anxiety, he was a rare and handsome find, especially to her. She stood behind him, smiling sweetly, "I'm ready," she said happily, she was indeed happy to leave there and her past memories behind. Amaranth coud now start on her future with this handsome Fallen Angel.

As they began to walk, she looks up at him. "So, you know of my family and past. But you never told me about yours." She said curiously, "what about yours, Samuel?" she asked gently, as Pywhackette curled up in the carrier.

Samuel - January 1, 2008 11:14 PM (GMT)
He didn’t answer her question straight away, but looked around. They’d been walking for a few minutes and had now left the boundaries of The Sanctuary of Angels and were walking on grassy planes. The fields ahead of them were slightly downhill and so in the distance they could see the great and vast Ered Annon Mountain range. The sun was in that direction and in setting it was gradually lowering beneath the Mountains; it really was quite beautiful. Finally, he felt he could avoid the question no longer and began to speak, still staring ahead as he walked.

”I don’t think I ever really had a family. I suppose I must have had parents, but I don’t really remember. Where I come from, we were all together… we were all one and at perfect peace, and so we didn’t need individuals to make us happy or to comfort us. It’s difficult to explain… on reflection though, I would have liked to know who my parents were.”

A light breeze was picking up and the evening air was becoming colder and colder. Samuel stopped walking, opened his rucksack and pulled out his black cloak. He turned and draped it over the shoulders of Amaranth to keep her warm. He tied the clasp on the front of her neck together, so as to avoid the cloak blowing away. He smiled sweetly at her as he stood directly in front of her tying the knot. ”I don’t want you catching a cold. I’m supposed to be watching out for you, and I’d be a pretty large failure if you were ill before we reached our first destination.”

He finished tying it for her, picked up his rucksack again and continued to walk and Amaranth followed. ”Anyway… that didn’t last. It was my fault, I know that, though I was not without reason for my insubordination. I spent much time, as all on the Celestial plains do, watching over Arda. I began to grow angry with this world. I watched wars and violence and death and madness, and I refused to accept it. And because of these bitter emotions, it was impossible for me to stay any longer. I was sent here. For a while, I was really very angry at being sent here. I didn't want to be here and I didn't want to be just another Ardian. And then things began to change when I started to see the honour and beauty in the people of Arda.” He turns his head while walking to look at Amaranth. ”People like you.”

He turned his head forward again and stared straight ahead. He had been hit down with a rare bout of anxiety. Though he had given a slightly abridged version to certain people since his arrival in Arda, this was the first time he had ever truly opened up to any Ardian with his life and why he was here. The simple truth was that he was impure and corrupt and that these flaws were great enough to suffer punishment from the Ainur themselves.

He lowered his head slightly and stared at the ground as he walked and waited for her to respond to his story.

Amaranth - January 2, 2008 01:06 AM (GMT)
When they walked and as he told her his tale, she kept her gaze lowered, not because she was sad, but listening deeply to his story. She felt in someway that they connected with one another minds - him not knowing his parents and being alone was the similar story that she also bore. And what of their differences? she could not think of one, at all. They were nearly the same, they different hair colors and similar tales of their past.

There wasn't anything that could break the bonds of this friendship, nothing, never, ever, ever could. As she listens to this Angel's past story, she looked up at him as his eyes met hers, passionately. Oh, how sweet! A blush ran through her veins, reaching the surface of her cheeks as he zipped up his coat on her. "T-thank you.." she says as she blushes deeper.

The story he told ended and she looked up with sympathetic eyes, "I'm so sorry that happened to you, Sam," she said quietly. She smiles as she goes up behind him and wraps her arms around his waist, nuzzling his neck. "We've got eachother now,so there's no need to worry."

Samuel - January 2, 2008 07:32 PM (GMT)
A warm tingle forced its way up his spine as she came in contact with his back and hugged him. ”Don’t be sorry. In the end, it was a good thing I think. Arda is a place you can so easily learn to love." She let go of him and they resumed walking. They walked for what seemed like hours in the darkness. There was nothing substantial around them for miles, just endless meadows, with only a few trees and bushes scattered throughout; in the distance the Ered Annon Mountains drew closer and closer but they were still some hours away.

They were beginning to tire and so they stopped and rested. They had no tent and so they laid beneath a small oak tree; Samuel would not usually have stopped rested in such a visible place, but he had no real choice. While Amaranth slept, curled up at his side with her head resting on his chest, Samuel stayed awake and alert. He barely even blinked in the four hours, his eyes constantly surveying the vast fields of green.

Though he was concentrating on their surroundings, he still had the strength of mind to be deep in thought at the same time. He had always understood that Drow’s were cruel and merciless creatures, particularly the females. So why was she different? Was it because she had lost her parents and thus was not raised in the same manner? He did not know very much about the Drow race though; perhaps they changed emotionally as they matured? What if she wasn’t fully developed yet and she changed? He considered this possibility for awhile; it didn’t scare him at all, but he did find it very intriguing.

Eventually, she awoke and they departed, continuing on their way to Ondolond. The sun was rising to the north east and all the land around them was bathed in a beautifully bright yellow glow. For a cold and wintery day, the sun was blindingly clear. They continued to walk for a further couple of hours, with conversation sparse in their exhaustion. Samuel longed to reach Ondolond so that they could rent a room and he could rest.

After a further couple of hours, they finally reached their destination. The Ered Annon Mountains towered above them to their left and right, and a few hundred yards straight ahead was the merchant city of Ondolond. Samuel supposed it was around ten o’clock by now, and as they got closer to the city, the hustle and bustle became more visible.

The tall, pale, red haired Fallen Angel along with the petite, dark and beautiful Drow drew closer to Ondolond, both exhausted and delighted to have finally reached their destination. They would undoubtedly have to find some means of transport in Ondolond, because Samuel had no desire to spend another night travelling.

OOC- I guess you can go ahead and make a thread in Ondolond whenever you feel like it.
