Title: We both cant swim?!
Description: Private for Naois.
Star Dust - December 30, 2007 10:15 PM (GMT)
The ferry smothes silently through the waters. Stella and Naois had been on this ferry traveling to Lonedor for a while now. In fact, they where nearly there. She was leaning on the rail, looking out to see. The trip had been smoothe sailing so far, and Stella was glad. The last time she had been on a ferry... well, it hadn't been so good.
She turned her head and looked over at Naois, then smiled. "Have you seen the water?" She asked, referring to the way the moon cast a reflection. It was like a smooth mirror, and Stella was transfixed by the sight. She sighed happily, leaning her whole wait on the rail as she rested her chin on it.
Was it just her, or was the rail... sliding? She lifted her head up a little, and looked down. All the way. The rail slipped, falling into the sea, Stella along with it. She landed with a mighty crash, and she just managed to bob up for air. She had never been in deep waters before - she couldn't swim. She thrashed around. "HELP!!" She screamed, her voice becoming gargled as she was pulled under.
Naois - December 30, 2007 10:35 PM (GMT)
Naois was watching the clouds move along the sky, he once used to be able to venture up there. He sighed, how he longed to fly once more. The angel looked back at the fallen star, they were very similar in a way. Both having lived lives above the daily matters that most faced, yet now here they were, ridding a ferry like everyone else. However, they differed in the fact that Stella had lost none of her brilliance from her falling.
He looked down to the water at Stella's request. It did reflect well. Naois jerked in reflex as he saw something flash through his vision. He filled with temporary fright and shock as he watched Stella plummet into the water. Without thinking he jumped in after her. It was only after he hit the water and took hold of her that he realized his predicament. When one could fly all their life, why learn to swim? "Uh oh..."
Star Dust - December 30, 2007 10:53 PM (GMT)
Stella took in a lung full of air as Naois pulled her up. She began to splutter and thrash around, panicking. She turned to Naois. "wh.." dunk. "-at you me-" "een oo-" "oops!?" She demanded, between dunks under water. It was difficult to stay above the sea, and her arms where rather tired. She turned to shout at the boat.
"HEL-" She breathed in a mouthful of water, and she began to splutter. The salt burned as the water flowed down her throat - worse so when she coughed it back up. She felt as though her throat had been sandpapered. The ferry was moving away, not noticing the two people who had fallen in the freezing night water. It was too dark to see them. She looked at Naois, her eyes wide. Would this be their last moment? She closed her eyed briefly. She hoped not. She really liked Naois.
She turned to him. "What now?" She asked quickly, scared to inhale any more of the salty water.
Naois - December 30, 2007 11:10 PM (GMT)
Naois struggled with keeping Stella afloat. In the process, he was going under more and more as her struggling became more desperate. He gagged on water, this was tiering him out fast. He would not just surrender though, he would keep her safe as long as he still breathed.
Naois looked around frantically, the ferry was indeed leaving them behind. "Do you have any sort of spell that might help? Can't you float? Try something, I don't know how much longer-" he went under for a little bit too long. He came up, half unconscious. Naois shook his head, coming to his senses,"-I can last like this."
Star Dust - December 30, 2007 11:23 PM (GMT)
As Naois went under - not returning for a good amount of time, Stella became distressed. "N...Naois?" We whispered - feeling a sense of loss. She began to panic, becoming more and more upset. Why wasn't he just bobbing up now? She began to shake. "NAOIS?!" She yelled, just as he emerged. She swung her arms around in the water until she reached him and hugged him. She did have the float spell, but then again, what about him? what would he do? She shook her head, her teeth beginning to chatter.
"N...n..no! I'm staying here with you!" She protested, her eyes determined. It was unforgivable to leave anyone behind, she just wouldn't do it. Either they both floated - and since they couldn't, they both would stay in the water.
Naois - December 30, 2007 11:32 PM (GMT)
Naois struggled with Stella's frantic actions, he pushed her back, keeping her steady with his hands. He sighed and gave her a stern look, "No, it would be stupid for you to die because you chose not to just float. I'll last longer without having to keep you up too, alright?" He stared her in the eye, he wanted her to live. "Please, if you are going to do anything for me, listen to me now. Please." He remained unmoving in his demand, he wouldn't change his mind.
(Sorry 'bout the length)
Star Dust - December 30, 2007 11:42 PM (GMT)
She stared into his eyes, seeing his determination. She sighed, then raised her wand. "You better not.." She didn't no what to say. She just looked up, kicking her legs to keep her above ground. "FLOAT!" She yelled, as she shot out of the water. She hovered above the water just, her feet skimming the top. She knelt down and held out her hand.
"Grab my hand! I can hold you up!" She commanded, her hand outstretched. If Stella carried on floating, whilst holding onto Naois, they may be able to float to an island or land of some sort. It was the only plan Stella could think of.
(( Meh I'm really tired. I'll post tomorrow. Niight!! x))
Naois - December 30, 2007 11:50 PM (GMT)
Naois nodded, pleased that she actually had listened. He swam up as much as he could, grabbing hold of her wet hand. His grip was tight, but not painful. He stared up at her, she could be just as stubborn as he could, another thing in common. He almost laughed , despite the situation. He sighed instead, looking all around. The ferry was long gone now, and the night was growing cold. Stella would probably be better off, being able to dry up there. Yet for Naois, hypothermia might become a problem. Almost as if on cue, Naois shivered.
(Aye, I'm sleepy too. Night)
Star Dust - January 1, 2008 12:58 AM (GMT)
Stella looked down as she shivered, and tried to pick up the speed of her floating. Was that possible? She tried anyway. She glanced at the sky's, white seagulls flying overhead and as a sudden thought hit her. Azulu and Nixi! She held onto Naois with one hand, and with her other raised her hand to her lips. She whistled, the sound seeming to go far, and she waited.
A bird shaped shadow was cast over them as Azulu broke from some clouds. Stella smiled. "Look!" She shouted to Naois, pointing. She pointing to Azulu. "Grab hold. She can lift you." Making sure he did as she said, she waited further. Nixi came them, a halo of red hues and orange, and Stella was lifted into the air by here. She stroked her feathers as she flew. Flying Familiars sure did come in handy...
Nixi lead the way to some patch of land. Haudhiaur Island? She wasn't bothered where it was right now. Nixi set her down on the beach, and Stella gave her a pat, as she bird flew off into the tree's to have a rest. Stella turned to Naois and smiled. "I know i know, I'm brilliant." She gloated, fanning herself with her hand.
Naois - January 1, 2008 01:26 AM (GMT)
Naois smiled and nodded thankfully. "Yes, very." He coughed a few times, spitting out water. "Had a little too much water," He looked to the oceanic expanse wearily. "So...now what?" He turned back to her, his water drenched hair dangling over his eyes.
Naois took a moment to examine the island. The beach was vast, though the tree line was visible in the distance. He turned back to the sea, nothing. It was as empty as far as the eye could see. He sighed, shaking his head, and looked back to Stella. "Well...we are alive, aren't we?" He smiled pleasantly, frizzing up his hair again.
Star Dust - January 1, 2008 01:34 AM (GMT)
Stella laughed as he re did his hair. Boys. Then again.. She pulled out her hand mirror and inspected her hair. Thank loth for Elemental hair! Stella had the great ability that if she ever cut her hair, it would always return exactly as it was now straight away. If she died it, it would return blond. Same if it got messed up. She smiled, then put the mirror away.
"Yes, we are VERY lucky!" She smiled. Then looked around the beach, and began to sit down. "Might as well dry off!" He dress was socked and very heavy, and she would get tired too easily walking around like this. She strethced out, then sighed happily. It was very warm, and she closed her eyes. "I am beginning to like this beach very much..." She murmured.
Naois - January 1, 2008 03:03 AM (GMT)
Naois yawned, struggling for your life in the sea was very tiering. He sleepily dragged himself over to where Stella was. He stretched out as well, letting time dry out his clothes. If there was one thing that made Naois uncomfortable, it was wet clothes. So sticky! He looked over at Stella and smiled. "I'm just glad you are alright." He kept his gaze on her for a little longer, almost staring. His face turned a shade redder, very slight, but noticeable if Stella had looked. He quickly turned his gaze back to the sky. His clothes were nearing dry now, already he felt better too.
Star Dust - January 7, 2008 09:27 PM (GMT)
The sun warmed her face, drying her clothes and leaving her skin warm. She sighed contently, oblivious to Naois's red face. Stella had never had a relationship, but she had had admirers before, somthing which Stella could never really relate too. Love was a feeling she had never once experienced, and everything was new to her.
Her clothes now dry, she turned he head to Naois and smiled. "It's pretty, isn't it?" She asked, holding her arm out, pointing to the sunset in the sea right in front of them. Stella loved the sea, and loves the sunset yet more. Everything about this scene was lovely, and it was incredible. Her and Naois where flushed red and orange by the setting sun, the warm rays becomeing colder, until the sun finely set. If they didn't set up camp and get a fire started now, then they would have to try survivng this night in the night, and Stella didn't like the dark at all.
Naois - January 7, 2008 10:12 PM (GMT)
Naois looked over at Stella once again, but not looking in the same way as before. He touched the hilt of his weapon in silence. Naois yawned, he was becoming tired. Taking in the last rays of sunlight, Naois was calm for once. He stood, stretching quietly. "Now what are we going to do?" He looked to some forested areas, perhaps they could find shelter there.
