Duel of the Sixteen Conquerors: A Team Tournament

Here Ye! Here Ye!
Let the news be heard and let the word be spread that a grand tournament is about to begin! Start searching for the most suitable ally for the beginning of a new moon has birthed a unique battle for bloodseekers! Eight teams are being sought with each team comprised of two sturdy warriors. Therefore arm yourselves and prepare for there will be only four men or women who would prevail above all others!

Tournament Details:

At the very beginning, there will be four battles. Each battle will involve two pairs of allies. This will serve not only as a test of skill and ingenuity, but it will also serve as a test of teamwork.
The arrangement of who fights against whom will be determined by me in random selection.

The team who would be deemed the winner for each battle will be paired against the victor of another and so the fights will proceed in such fashion until the overall champion has been determined.

Tournament Rules:

1. Armour will not be allowed except for belts.
2. You may use as many weapons or shields that your character currently has in his or her possession.
3. A character may only wield two weapons/a weapon and a shield/ two shields at a time.
4. Familiars other than those sold in the Pasteur cannot be used. (so yes, horses, donkeys and camels are allowed :p )
5. Each character can only cast one spell per post.
6. PrC abilities are not counted as spells however you are only limited to one PrC ability per post.
7. Spells that have an inevitable result can only be cast by one character per team, per team turn. (by inevitable I mean spells such as Mental Domination, Medusa Eyes etc)
8. The spells Stop Time and Foresight will not be allowed.
9. One may no longer enter additional items/spells/abilities/skills/feats once the fight has begun.
10. Each battle lasts for three weeks unless the maximum of rounds (10 rounds) have been met or if a team has surrendered.
11. If a member would be unable to post, the corresponding judge for the match involved should be notified ahead of time otherwise, the team will be disqualified should (4) days go by without a post made by the absentee member.
12. There will be no refunds once the tournament has begun.
13. Judges will determine the scene and if they so choose to involve their familiars in a non biased way or if they choose to drop items for battle use, may do so.
14. Deity magic must be used sparingly to allow for mortal chances.
15. Latent spells may remain active all through out without being affected by the one spell rule of number 5.
16. All the regular rules of Arda still apply.

Tournament Criteria:

Winners will be considered through five things…
1. Post quality (ranging from 1-10 points)
2. Winner of the match (+2 points)
3. Ingenuity (1-5 points)
4. Post speed (+.5 points for every character who posts within the 4-day limit)
5. Effective Teamwork (1-5 points)

Tournament Entry:



1. Each team of two must pay 100 gold to “The Banker,” also known as my alternate account made mainly for this tournament. Once the sales request has been filed, the members must then toss me a link. Only then will they be added to the list.
2. Each team is required to give a name which would be representing them in the tournament.
3. Teams may optionally search for a crest to adorn their signatures =)

When you say spells and that ON us, does it mean spell in Sig? So any spells i wish to use i have to put in my Sig or... can it stay in my inventory? :S
