RISE OF THE ROGUESATTENTION CITIZENS OF ARDA!!Recently there have been disturbing reports of creatures possessed of terrifying size and ferocity roaming the great continents of Ea, Morring and even deep within the icy wastes of Calaring. Information is currently sketchy at best but I feel it is my duty to issue an official call to arms to all who are willing to answer.RULESGOLDEN RULE OF THE HUNT: The Huntmaster controls the hunt. No damage may be inflicted upon the beast unless the Huntmaster says so. The Huntmaster will act as DM to the topic and decide OOC and IC how the battle runs. Anybody found violating the rules of the hunt will forfeit their place in the topic and chance of a prize.
GENERAL RULES: All of the normal rules of Arda apply in the hunt, especially those regarding god-moding or power-playing. Your turns will be forfeited for a period of time if you are found to have broken the rules of Arda and / or the rules of engagement. You may also be warned. If it happens more than once you may be removed from the hunt entirely.
TURNS: The Huntmaster / Vaul, The Cursed One will be HEAVILY moderating the topic. Once you post you must wait for one of these to post before you may post again unless otherwise noted. Each time the Huntmaster posts marks the beginning of a new "turn" or "round." There is no set limit to the number of turns for each hunt. The turn number will depend on how each battle plays out.
EQUIPMENT, SPELLS AND PrC ABILITIES: The rules for spells are the same as those for the war which can be found
here.
FAMILIARS and MINIONS: Familiars are
NOT ALLOWED during the hunts. These are a test of the Hunter’s skill, not his beasts. In the case of Summoning Magic, the caster’s summon is limited to one turn only, after which it disappears again.
DEITY PARTICIPATION: Deities that decide to join in on the hunt are not quite as all-powerful here. This is to ensure that a single deity does not kill the beast in one fell swoop. Deities may still use their abilities to a normal godly level, but they should play reasonably.
HUNTERS: The creatures that will be hunted are no normal beasts; due to their sheer size and power, a multitude of hunters are being called from across the land. But as stated... these beasts are VERY powerful so very new members with only starting equipment and little experience are allowed but advised against it until they have gathered some battle experience. Depending on the hunt the number of possible participants will vary from 5 to 20. Certain hunts will be marked as
‘ELITE’. These are particularly fierce creatures only available to ARP’ers due to their location.
PRIZES: Each hunt will have prizes specific to that creature that will be awarded to the best RP’ers. Both the prizes and the winners will be decided by The Huntmaster. On certain hunts the best hunter (the person deemed to have RP'ed best) will be awarded a personal gift from the Huntmaster himself.
NOTE: NOT EVERYBODY WILL RECEIVE A PRIZE... this is your incentive to be the best.
OTHER RULES: Each hunt will have specific rules and regulations. These may include known weaknesses and/or strengths of the beast and other such information that The Huntmaster has learned.
