Title: Awakening.
Description: [p] Star Dust, Nalen

The waters where still, soothing. Fish swam, seaweed swayed, and the odd lost trinket layed, half buried in the sand. Sal'linae was floating, merely nothing. She was the water herself. She was one with the lake and that's the way she liked it.
But everything began to change. Her matter swirled, her non-being becoming something. She began to form a shape where before none was. Soon she had form, a human one to be exact. Soon she lost unconsciousness as the transformation deepened.

Sal'linae layd on the lakes shoreline, the water lapping over her. Her hair was blue and silky, sparkling like water under the suns rays. Her eyes deep as the lake, blue as the sky. The skin one of the purest whites, and he figure slim, smooth. Those deep eyes fluttered open, and Sal'linae took her first look around.
The atmosphere was Serene. The land was still, just like the waters, and the lake was gently lapping. A way away, some deer where grazing, and further yet in the sky the sun was in full set. She blinked, once, twice, then inhaled, the feeling different from that of the water. She took a deep breathe and stood. What had happened? She glanced around, quite afraid. She had a being. She knelt down to the water, and poked her head in. A whispering could be heard only by her.

Love all waters. It whispered, and she nodded once, and took her head out. What to do first?

Nalen - December 24, 2007 08:56 PM (GMT)
Nalen walked along the side of the lake, humming a simple tune that he had often played before. His instrument hung from his waist, unused at the moment. A voice was all that was needed to play the song. Soon he came upon a wider area of land, just the right amount of room for practice. His bundle of javelins rattled as he jabbed them to the ground, taking one out of the bundle. He flipped it a few times, warming up. He never directly started with all the javelins, that would be stupid. He flipped it up and over his head, grabbing it out of the air and letting the rod roll off his arm, then balance on his leg. Confident, he took out another javelin. He flipped it a few times as well, still balancing one on his leg. Eventually he had taken out three, flipping them around him quickly. Then, all at once, they landed in the ground. If a line was drawn between them, it would form a triangle. Proud with his to-nobody performance, he bundled the javelins back together and began walking again.

Stella layed in the grass by the lake, taking a well earned break. She had been walking down for days, and she was tired. Taking out a bar of her chocolate she smiled. She loved chocolates. The fist bite was always the best, and so she took it slowly. Ah sweet nectar.. she thought, relaxing some more.

She sat admireing the cloud formation. Heh, that one looks like a cat! She yelled out suddenly, sitting up staring at it. She giggled, laying back down. Anyone walking past would probably think her weird! Shaking her head she took another bite. Over her head Azulu flew, often flying through the clouds, wrecking the formations. She laughed.

She placed her hand on the egg. She hoped it would hatch soon, then Azulu would have a friend. Putting the egg back she heaved a sigh and once again went back to looking at the clouds, humming a tune.

Sal'linae rose to her feet, shaking. Her head hurt, and the feeling of being in dense, deep waters rushed over her. Her form wobbled slightly under the new gravity, and she fell to the floor. "Ouch.." She mumbled, rubbing her lower back. She tried again, this time with success.

She now stood looking around, her legs gently quivering. All around her sunlight refracted off her, as though she was walking water. It wasn't far off. Taking a few shaky steps she inhaled the clean air, her first time doing so. Ahead a girl was laying on the grass, and Sal'linae shakily made her way over.

"Hello there." she spoke, her voice smooth like a still lake. Her smiled. "Can you tell me where i am please?" She asked, then glanced up as a dove flew overhead, her mouth like an 'O' as she watched. She grinned. "Such a pretty creature..." She wooed, then looked back at the girl. "What kind of fish is it? To swim so high." She watched in awe, the creatures wings moving in gentle, rhythmic patterns.

Star Dust - December 24, 2007 11:37 PM (GMT)
She didn't hear her coming, in fact, Stella wouldn't have known she was even there until she spoke! And when she did, Stella momentarily mistook her voice for that of a Goddess! "Hello there. Can you tell me where i am please?" The voice spoke, and Stella jumped up quickly. The girl had hair the glossiest blue, and eyes so deep she was lost for a moment. The girl herself wasn't looking at Stella, but at Azulu flying overhead. She seemed to like the sight. Stella smiled.

"You are at Lake Aelin, in Arda." She replied. The girl took her eyes off Azulu for a moment and looked at Stella. "Such a pretty creature..." she said, and Stella nodded. "She is, isnt she?" She answered, and Stella too looked up at Azulu, who's white feathers shone bright in the sunlight. When Stella looked back at the girl she saw her staring at her. "What kind of fish is it? To swim so high." She asked, she Stella frowned.

"Fish?" She echoed, then shook her head. "No no... Azulu is a BIRD, a dove. She's not a fish, fish live in the lake. This is.. land." She answered, then smiled as the girl began to examine Azulu again. "Your not from around here... are you?" She asked. The reminded Stella of herself when she first arrived on Earth. "What's your name?" She asked, then remembered her maners. "My names Stella."

Faithless - December 25, 2007 12:05 AM (GMT)
Sal'linae listened carefully. A bird eh? She smiled. "No, i am not really from around here. I'm from there." She pointed over at the lake, smiling. "DEEP down there. I was water, as you could say. Who knows why Ive taken on such a form." She sighed. The girl introduced herself, and Sal'linae bowed.

"Its a pleasure to meet you Stella, my name is Lyla." Sal'linae could not let her call her Sal'linae, as she had not become of a close aquatence with Sal'linae. But it was her name, never the less. She indicated to Stella, suddenly noticing something.

"Yo.. Your glowing!" She clasped her hands and laughed. "Why, Ive never seen anything glow except the stars and the moon. Why do you glow?" She asked. Indeed, Stella was glowing and the sight was lovely. Her glow was soft, and accompanied her well. For the first time Sal'linae took in Stella's appearance.

Her hair was silvery blond, and her eyes almost the same shade as Sal'linae, except not as deep and dark. Her skin was creamy, her figure that of a child. The glow gave her a tint, and Stella looked beautiful. She must be a Goddess, Sal'linae thought, smiling.

Star Dust - December 25, 2007 12:11 AM (GMT)
Stella smiled in response. "Nice to meet you too Lyla." She was a little caught of guard by the bowing, but then again she didn't no any better. When the girl at last noticed her glow, Stella found herself laughing.

"Ah yes, i am a star - fallen star so to speak. My star died and so Vaul - Guardian of the stars granted me this body, and here i am." She smiled. She had been asked this question lots of times, and so her answers usually became shorter. If the girl requested it, Stella would go into more detail, but that basically summed her up.

The Stella considered what she had said first, about her being from the lake. "So... you where water, then you became human?" She almost gasped. "That's like what happened to me! Only.. i was a star." She shook her head. What where the chance of her meeting a girl who was like her in so many ways? She looked at the lake closely. So it wasn't just stars that could become people.. how odd. She thought for a while. Did that mean the Guardian of the Waters granted Lyla HER form?

Stella's brain hurt. It wasn't really her question to be asking really... was it?

Nalen - December 25, 2007 01:04 AM (GMT)
Nalen, curiously, pulled out a single javelin from his bundle. He weighed it in his hand, yes, this one would do nicely. He set the rest of the bundle down lightly against the ground. He stepped back, squinting into the distance. Time to see how far he could chuck this. With a quick shuffling of his feet he hurled the javelin with all his might. He let it soar. Soon it was rocketing over the earth, finally reaching the peak of its flight, then tilting downwards and falling. It fell, fell, fell, until it smacked into the ground. Barely a foot away from Stella's head.

Nalen paused for a moment, first happy, then instantly embarrassed. He had thrown it remarkably far, even though he had almost killed somebody by accident. Nalen scooped up his things and broke into a run. "Sorry! Sorry! Sorry!" He skidded to a halt beside Stella and yanked his Javelin from the ground. "I'm very sorry about the inconvenience."

Star Dust - December 25, 2007 02:31 PM (GMT)
As she waited for the women's reply, Stella became aware of a slight whistling sound. That's odd... she thought, scratching her head. Suddenly a great spear (or so it appeared at the time) flew past her head, JUST missing her. She screamed, jumping back. A half elf came running over soon after, repeating over and over "sorry!" Stella laughed, surprising them all.

"I thought i was going to die!" She chuckled. "Ah Ive never experienced THAT feeling before let me tell you." She wiped a tear from her eye, then looked at the boy closer. She smiled. "Are you a performer?" She asked, glancing at the javelins and the musical instrument. She cocked her head to the side thoughtfully, something she did often.

"Ive never met one before..." She mumbled, then smiled. "My names Stella! What's yours?" She asked, holding out her hand in a friendly gesture. She loved making friends.

Nalen - December 25, 2007 09:56 PM (GMT)
Nalen grinned, scratching his head. "Aye, that I do. I perform, Nalen the javelin juggling musician at your service. Had a few years of experience, been practicing with these though," he hefted the javelins, "most of my life." He rolled the javelin he had removed from the ground on his arm, humming a quick tune. "What about you? Name?" He asked the odd water-ish person. Water-ish? Is that even a word, thought Nalen. He didn't dwell on these things much, and soon he was back at the matter on his hands.

(Sorry bout the length, I had to put in the one post...halo 3 I love you!)

Faithless - December 26, 2007 02:47 PM (GMT)
Sal'linae looked at the half elf closely. His green eyes seemed warm as he spoke of his javelins, and his brown hair was blowing in the wind. Sal'linae sighed and cleared her throat. "My name is Lyla." She answered, then held out her hand has Stella had done.

"It's nice to meet you." She bowed low, as she had done with Stella, then looked down at his javelins. "Will you throw them for us?" She asked, not quite sure what he meant by he "Preformed" with the javelins. She looked at the water. "Anyone thirsty?" She asked, raising her hand, and a small orb of water flew towards her, which flew into her mouth and she drank. She smiled at them both.

Nalen - December 27, 2007 08:12 PM (GMT)
Nalen grinned, "You want me to perform for you? Well of course I can!" He stepped back, gaining some distance. He paused, watchin in awe at her trick. "How did you....nevermind," He shrugged, moving into position. Having already warmed up sped up the process to the good tricks. He took out two first, twirling them with great skill. He began to twirl them around himself, then tossing them to the air. They twirled rapidly, falling back down again. He caught one in his teeth, catching the other in a hand, and taking out another one. From that he began to repeat what he did before, but instead of throwing them, he spun them on the javelin clutched in his mouth. He continued this with similar tricks and came to a stop, a light sweat breaking out and leaving him panting. "You like?" he smiled between his coughs.

Star Dust - December 27, 2007 11:08 PM (GMT)
His performance was entertaining and jaw-dropping. The whole way her through her mouth was like an "O", and she dared not blink, fearing to miss another trick. She had never seen anything like it, and it amazed her.Stella began to clap, grinning widely. "That was amazeing!!I wish i could do somthing that cool!"
She gushed, then looked to the water elemental. "wow... you can controll waters the way i can control the stars, thats cool!" She smiled at them both."Where you guys heading?" She asked, as she sat back down on the soft grass. It was unbelievable how comfy such small blades od grass could be.
