rain - December 23, 2007 11:22 PM (GMT)
Star was attending a lavish ball for christmas, she wore a long light blue dress that fell off the shoulders and was trimmed in furr. Her black hair pulled up in a curled bun adorned with diamonds. Many of the guests that did preforming as their job that came were requiered to preform, so she and another male preformer got together and figured something out, Stars freind had just ended her number she hugged her before getting on stage to start hers, the music started so Star sang:

I really can't stay-
Baby it's cold outside
I've got to go away-
Baby it's cold outside
This eavning has been-
Been hoping that you'd drop in
So very nice-
I'll hold your hands, their just like ice
My mother will start to worry-
Beautiful, Whats your hurry
My father will be pacing the floor-
Listen to the fireplace roar
So really I'd better scurry-
Beautiful, please don't hurry
Well Maybe just a half a drink more-
Put some music on while I pour
The neighbors might think-
Baby, it's bad out there
Say, what's in this drink-
No cabs to be had out there
I wish I knew how-
Your eyes are like starlight now
To break this spell-
I'll take your hat, your hair looks swell
I ought to say no, no, no, sir-
Mind if I move a little closer
At least I'm gonna say that I tried-
What's the sense in hurting my pride
I really can't stay-
Baby don't hold out
Ahh, but it's cold outside
C'mon baby
I simply must go-
Baby, it's cold outside
The answer is no-
Ooh baby, it's cold outside
This welcome has been-
I'm lucky that you dropped in
So nice and warm--
Look out the window at that storm
My sister will be suspicious-
Man, your lips look so delicious
My brother will be there at the door-
Waves upon a tropical shore
My maiden aunt's mind is vicious-
Gosh your lips look delicious
Well maybe just a half a drink more-
Never such a blizzard before
I've got to go home-
Oh, baby, you'll freeze out there
Say, lend me your comb-
It's up to your knees out there
You've really been grand-
Your eyes are like starlight now
But don't you see-
How can you do this thing to me
There's bound to be talk tomorrow-
Making my life long sorrow
At least there will be plenty implied-
If you caught pneumonia and died
I really can't stay-
Get over that old out
Ahh, but it's cold outside
Baby it's cold outside
Brr its cold...
It's cold out there
Cant you stay awhile longer baby

Well... I really shouldn't... alright
Make it worth your while baby
Ahh, do that again...

After the song was over star and her partner whom she had only just met bowed, that was one of her favroite chrismas songs aside from the christmas waltz and the bells. She walked through the bar at which the party was being held and watched all the people she had never met though the person who had thrown the party she knew very well.

Star took a seat at a table and ordered a drink. The night was young, so much could happen under the snow outside. The lights of trees and magic in the air. So she waited.

Nalen - December 24, 2007 12:02 AM (GMT)
Nalen walked through the crowds of people, his outfit catching many eyes. The bright colors were hard to miss. He moved past some food, then drinks, and more people. "Geeze, so many of you people." He stepped around a few people. Nothing like this could spoil his mood, he was quite the happy person. Soon he was near the center of the performances, people just being jolly. He was a jolly person to now! He walked around a bit, watching the performances as he decided on just what he would do. Soon he had been moved up to the performing area, and he was ready to perform.

He stepped lightly to the center, strumming his instrument to the appropriate tune. It jumped around a bit, almost provoking the spectators to do the same. It quickened to a steady beat. He continued to play as he began to set up this position, then he jumped in to the music himself. One back flip, two back flips, three, four, five. He landed perfectly, getting applause from the audience. But before it could even die down he was moving again. Jumping, flipping, and general stunt-work landed him all about the stage. Eventually, as the song came to an end, so did he. He finally slowed to a stop, breathing heavily. Applause followed and he smiled to the crowd. With a curt bow he bounced off the stage.

Jaina - December 26, 2007 11:26 AM (GMT)
During, the two performances, Jaina have been sitting on a sort of an, improvised bar. She, was awaiting a contact, to get some information. The meeting, was arranged in the village, due to the numerous people, that were gathering there for the holidays. However, this place had it's drawbacks. The first and the worst, was that the people were like, lambs. Pushing and shoving from all sides, like cows on pasture. From, them one could hear all kind, of unimaginable stories, from war adventures, to romance.

From what, she could catch from, their words, the ornaments were gorgeous. From this, she could only feel sorry, for herself that, she cannot see them. After, just ordering a glass of wine, from the improvised, bartender. Fortunately he, was quick one, so maybe he was not improvised, Jaina thought. Upon, getting the glass, Jaina gave him few gold coins, surely they were covering, the cost of the wine and a tip for him, after all it was holiday festive time, and he provably had family.

After, getting a slip of the wine, Jaina heard some woman singing, along with a male companion. Though, Jaina did not, liked the text of the song, they sure sounded 'beautiful', together. Their, singing made, Jaina forget about her own troubles and problems, so when the song ended, she clapped exited, but in the same time felt sorry that, it ended so quickly.

But, not long after the loud applause, for the singing duet, another performer began to, play an instrument. Jaina, found it to be... disturbing at best. Either the, performer had no idea, what he was doing or the music, was supposed to be rampant, as it was. But for, her surprise the crowd, liked it. But, after few minutes, she, herself began to enjoy this. At one point the crowd's applause, became quiet, apparently he did something that, they enjoyed even more. And so they began, to applause even louder than before, and so did she.

After this act, ended and the publics clap, died all was like before. The people, continued to push, each other. Luckily , no one had been, crushed under the hundreds of feet. Shortly, after that, Jaina found out that she is bored and the reason, was unknown. Then, after a short argue, with herself, she decided to go to the stage and sing a song. Once again, she called for the barkeep. This time she gave him, her travel pack along with her staff, and blue cloak . And few more gold coins, just to make sure he keep them safe.

Then, she turned toward, where the stage was suppose to be. And as, Jaina walked there she smooth out her, white dress. She, found it hard to get to the stage, because of all of the shoving and her blindness. But, after a minute or two, she finally managed to get to the stage. Upon arriving there, she spoke to the orchestra, to play, along with her voice and to be led by it. She, was going to preform a song from her home, that elves used to sing, and she learned as a little girl. But for it, she wound needed a male accompaniment, who needed to knew the lyrics. Unfortunately she would had do make, due without him.

Upon, setting out on the improvised, stage she began to sing.

Green shades of the elven wood.
Covers her face so pale.
Those eyes like a stars in the night.
Her hair like a golden flame.
Gods of wisdom and fortune.
Have blessed her with their gifts.
no earthly creature can ever reach,
A beauty like hers.
Young elven knights come to her,
There's so much love to share.
But still she's awaiting the one,
The one with a mortal way.

They meet in the shadows,
No eyes will see their embrace.
Again she's awaiting he to come,
She's so desperate her heart can't lay.

As, she was about to continue, someone did it for her, just in the place where the male companion was suppose to sing.

The evil has lurked in the realm!
Dark creatures have come with the death.
When black blade reaches her heart,
And all the life is gone.
He has lost his everything.
Pain and agony, that's all left now on,
Way of the fate is cruel,
Through tears he curses his gods!

With grief he left those woods.
His sorrow turns to hate,
By his blood he swears the oath.
He will fight it's never too late.

Jaina, wondered how he could know, what to sing, but that needed to wait, for she had a song to finish.

All his sacrifices,
Can't be for nothing.
Way of the sword.
Is the price they'll have to pay.
Her endless beauty,
Stays forever in his heart.
Her soul now in afterlife,
But his love will never be gone.

After the act she was little, embarrassed. So without waiting for the reaction, she quickly stepped off the scene and headed, to the bar. But before she, managed to make two steps the crowd, exploded in applause. Jaina, blushed and her heart began to pound. It, was her first performance, from years but apparently the public liked her... them.

Jaina, could not find her companion that helped, her on the stage, to ask him few questions. And thought that, maybe he would, join her on the bar. Finally when she reached the bar, Jaina took her things from, the bartender, and took another slip of her wine.

Xaki - December 27, 2007 05:10 AM (GMT)
Xaki had come to Estolad to visit an old friend of his, both metaphorically and physically. But when Xaki had come to find his old friend he learned that he had moved to Lomedor. Xaki sighed and began to wander through Estolad since he was already there, and he found out about a Christmas Ball. There were a bundle of people just outside of the building which usually indicated that the inside was even more crowded. Xaki entered and his suspicions were correct, it was difficult to move inside yet he managed to forcer his way to a make-shift bar.

A moment passed and Xaki took his Berimabu, which was suprisingly still in one pice considering it's unfortunate place next to the two-handed sword, and placed it against the bar. He ordered a drink and the bartender made it for him quickly and continued on to attend the rest of the clients. A moment passed before two people made it on stage. A man and a woman who began to sing an old Christmas song. Xaki remembered it from somewhere but ignored this and gulped down his drink and requested another.

The bartender attended to a woman in a white dress and then quickly made Xaki's drink. He wondered a bit as he saw how quickly the bartender moved and reacted to each order and a question popped into Xaki's mind. "Do you know the owner of the Wilwarin?" Xaki asked before taking a swallow of his drink. the bartender stopped before giving an answer, "In a way... I guess I do." The bartender joked before returning to his work. "Don't beat around the bush or i'll beat on your head like a drum." Xaki said darkly before taking another drink. "Okay, okay. I'm his son. How do you know him anyway?" Xaki chuckled and took another swallow. "I'm his bouncer, refill."The bartender chuckled and refilled his drink.

A moment passed and a man came onto the stage with an acrobatic show which he played music to. It kind of impressed Xaki, kinda, and caught his attention. But quickly it was done and Xaki gave a blank look as he pondered what that was truly supposed to be. He shook his head and noticed that the woman in the white dress was going up on stage, and began to sing.

As she was singing a flash of hidden images rushed through Xaki's mind, he knew this song but did not remember how or why. He also realized that the song needed both male and female and as the woman's part came to an end Xaki rushed on stage to assist, but he did not know why.

He bagan to sing.
"The evil has lurked in the realm!

He will fight it's never too late."

When the woman finished the song Xaki caught himself in the spotlight and rushed through the crowd back to his seat where his berimbau still laid. He let out an exhale and a shocked look was on his face. "Are you okay bouncer?" The bartender asked as he gave Xaki another drink. Xaki gulped it down quickly and nodded. The bartender chuckled and the Woman left the stage. "Go up there again, if you do your own thing you'll feel better." He said as he refilled Xaki's mug. He drank it down quickly, took his instrument and made it to the stage with his berimbau.

A moment passed as he scatter around his person for the item to play it with, he found it let out a sigh and began strumming a tune. it had a sound that seemed to captivate the audience, they did not know what it was but somehow they stopped and listened to it through. He took a bow and left the stage and back to his spot where he continued to drink, the woman in the white dress still in her same spot.

Kallirrhoe Aedre - December 28, 2007 06:14 AM (GMT)
Rhoe was curious, so she had showed up at the ball. Just what did one do when they weren't protecting the forests? Seeing the gathering of beings, she decided that she simply must find out. Besides, she missed company, she hadn't had any since she'd escorted Stella to the temples. It didn't matter to Rhoe that she couldn't dance at all. Just to watch this "ball," as they called it, would be enough for her.

Juste Belmont - January 6, 2008 07:15 AM (GMT)
Juste had come upon Estolad for some unkown reason that was even hidden from him, all he knew was that he was here and it was cold. Vincent his small bat was curled up in his jacket away from the cold. A bit further away Juste could hear the sounds of what seemed to be a party and a substantial number of people outside, chatting and laughing as they made their way inside from the cold. Juste pondered as he made out a sign that said "Christmas Ball" he chuckled a bit and entered. He was suprised to see the place completley packed and artists on stage, singing and dancing as he made his way to a clear spot. Unfotunatley this clear spot was where a fight was taking place and he managed to dodge a few punches just in time. He looked at both of the fighters a put his hands up between them, he could smell the heavy stench of liquor on each fighter's breath which would explain the fighting. "This doesh not cosern joo." One of the fighters slurred. "Well then you won't mind telling me why you are fighting in the first place?" The fighters paused as they stood a bit dazed, it was finally clear to them how drunk they were but that didn't stop them. "Go away and you won't get hurt pretty boy." The other fighter said managing to not, suprisingly, not slur his speech. "One reason, that's all I ask of you is one reason to move out of your way." There was a drunken pause for a moment before one of them said something, "That was two things." The second fighter said. Juste sighed and quickly knocked them both down before leaving that area.

He made his way to a table that had a good view of the stage and was suprised when Jaina made her way on stage and began to sing. Her voice was a beautiful as she was, but she seemed a bit nervous while singing. A moment later a white haired man jumped on stage and apparently helped her through the rest of the song before wuickly ducking back into the ncrowd to hide himself. That was rather odd. Juste thought to himself, Jaina made her way offstage and Juste attempted desperatley to make his way to her. He made his way to a makeshift bar where Jaina sat and he sat beside her. "Hello Jaina, good to see you again." He said happily.

Jaina - January 6, 2008 03:10 PM (GMT)
Not long, after her unfitting appearance on the stage, another performer began go play, something. The 'music' as provably many, would call it, was horrible! It sounded, like a female cat, in her mating season, or like a peace of laminated iron, twisting around. But, the good part was that, no glasses or bottles, exploded from the buzz. What, surprised her even more, was the fact that, the public, applauded the performance. Moments, later some one, sat next to her. The same, person that helped her on the stage and then ran away.

She, felt uncomfortable, sitting next to him. Because he, helped her and she didn't thanked, properly. To make up for, that she asked the bartender. Is the man next to me, the one that singed along with me on the stage? though she knew the answer, Jaina awaited the reply, which came swiftly "He? Yes, he was the one that singed with you. And, just came down from the stage, beautiful music, he play. Don't you think?" Once again, Jaina was amazed. Not, only the man helped her but, also he made that rattle. Then, I' am paying the next five things he order! she stated. The, bartender grinned and said "As you wish madam."

As, Jaina was about to talk to her, helper very familiar voice spoke to her, from the other, seat next to her. What, he said was simple, as greeting, but the voice behind the greeting, made her shiver. And made her heart, stop and pound faster in the same time. She, was shocked and did not knew what to do. Jaina, thought for a second, how to reply. Then something took, over her and she suddenly turned to face, Juste. From, the same thing she swiftly stood on her feet, unwillingly spilling her glass of win and pushed the pack away. Then Jaina, warped her hands around him and placed her head on his shoulder, and she whispered in his ear, with shivering voice It, is so good to to meet you again. she knew not, waht to say more, so she just stood in the same possition. For she wanted to do, so many things, to tell him so many things, but she dared not tell them yet.
