Title: A Twisted Death

Valerik - December 22, 2007 04:05 PM (GMT)
Valerik peered across the dimly light forest, his eyes trying to come across the motion he thought he had seen moments earlier. His squinted eye's glowed a dim color, reflecting the pale moonlight from the sky. The blood hungry vampire searched for blood, looking through the trees. He was atop a branch, scanning the area for food. Often fisherman came to Lake Alein to fish, for its waters were so clear that the fish swimming in the beautiful placid lake could be seen from above the water.

At last, Valerik came across the motion he had spotted earlier. A young boy was crashing through the forest. He at last tripped upon a stone directly in front of the tree Valerik was standing upon. Finally, Valerik took his eye's off the fresh blood to see what exactly what was chasing this boy. A man crashed through the foliage and reached his target. A knife was clutched in his hand, blood already stained on its silver body.

Valerik stood by in the tree to see the events that proceeded. The boy apparently broke his ankle on the trip, so began to crawl away from the man. But it was no use, only a futile attempt to escape. The man began to walk up, finally reaching the boy. He grabbed the young child's hair, yanking him up. The boy let up a yelp, screaming as he rose. The man grabbed his knife, and slowly pressed the knife against the child's neck.

Choked sobs escaped the boys mouth, tears streaming down his cheeks. A drop of blood dripped down the boys neck. "You never say that to me again!" roared the man, shaking the boy. Valerik was unable to watch any longer. He did not lunge from the trees because he was disturbed by what he saw, but rather that he saw blood: exactly what he was craving at the moment.

He pounced on the full grown man. The two struggled, rolling in the grass, each of the two trying to gain an advantage over the other. But Valerik had underestimated the man's strength, he was quite strong. Valerik finally had a moment to pin the man to the ground, and raising his fist, punched him hard in the face. Blood began to exit out of his nose. In that brief moment, Valerik grabbed the dagger out of his shoe and plunged it deep into the man's chest, directly in his heart.

The man let out a sigh, his last breath. Valerik plunged his fangs in his neck, drinking pints of blood. When he was at last content, he rose, wiping his mouth with his sleeve. As he rose, he heard a noise, sobs. Valerik investigated. Behind a tree several yards away was the boy, with a small prick mark on his neck. "Why did you kill my father?" he asked.

"That was your father?!" roared Valerik. "He was trying to kill you!" The boy began to sob more, "I deserved it, I was talking back," he said even more depressingly. "I SAVED YOU!" Valerik said in his rage. Adrenaline was still running through his body from the fight. He was becoming more and more irritable. "Get out of here, scum" he said calmly, collecting himself. The child ran back the direction he came, tears streaming down his face. He returned back to the lake side, washing his face free of blood.

Kenith - December 22, 2007 05:15 PM (GMT)
Kenith was walking through the woods, enjoying himself rather nicely. He didn't have any zombies with him at the time, because he felt no need for them a the moment. Kenith sighed, pleased with his progress along the art of necromacy. Soon he would be a great force to be reckoned with.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a small boy ran straight into Kenith. "Eh!" He toppled over, hitting the ground hard. "Ow! What was that for?" He shoved the whimpering boy off him and into the ground. "Watch where you are going next time." Kenith stormed off in a huff, his good mood fouled by the senseless boy.

Soon enough he came across what must have upsetted the boy. Down at his feet rested a bloodied man, with..bite marks on his neck? Vampire bite marks. Kenith suddenly froze, listening for slight movements. He would not be caught off guard in this situation.
