Title: A Flight to Clear the Mind

Addison Lavor - December 12, 2007 01:28 AM (GMT)
Addison stretched her wings and flew through the skies, letting the wind rush through her hair. The day was so peaceful. It was a perfect time to think.

It seemed that she had done quite a lot of thinking since becoming one of the Fallen. She needed to know exactly who she was, who she desired to be.

She let out a soft sigh. She knew her hopes, her dreams, her fears, better than anyone. Perhaps that was the problem...

She took a sharp dive to the ground and pulled off at the last second, landing lightly on her feet.

Looking around, she saw that she had come to rest in the Alulanta Falls. The beauty nearly made her gasp. It reminded her a little of the Holy City.

With this in mind, she sat and took the small harp from across her back. Her fingers began to glide across the strings, filling the air with soft music.

Arthur Paendrag Tanreall - December 12, 2007 06:33 PM (GMT)
Arthur had been walking through the forest surronding the falls for sometime. He had no reason do so and if there was one it would probably be because he needed to think. It had been 4 months since he had achieved the goal he had spent 7 years of his life going after. He had lost many thigns because of it as well. Some of his greatest speels were given up in its pursuit, as well as other things. His greatest lsot though was that his friend, his brother, his son left him. Ofcourseh could not blame Valinor, he knew dragons left the nest someday. He had hoped his friend would have stayed with him.

Arthur sighed a bit unsure of what to do with his life now. He had gotten Excalibur and King Arthurs armor which he had never really expected to find. HE got what he wanted for so logn now he had nothign to do, no adventures, no quests. He felt empty in a way as if fun had gone out of life. He guessed this was what happened when the greatest quest people went on were finished. As his father would say go out and make adventure instead owaiting on it.

HE soon hear music comign from the falls, it sounded melodious and Arthur smiled. The person playing was good probably better than he was. Luckily Arthur was in his human form or else if he appraoched he would scare the person. Still the only thing that could gie hint to what he was, were his ears which were pointed but hidden behiund his hair, and his eyes, his pupils were like those of a dragons vertical in a line, but blue as the sky. Of course he might scare them anyway, the armor he had on was fearsome to look upon, it was designed not only to protect you but scare away enemies. If he put on the helm he might seem like a demon from chaos.

He decided to just go see who was playign and hope they weren't frightened by his armor. He soon came to the falls and saw a woamn, nay an angel playign the music. His eyes drunk her in because she was indeed one of the most beautiful creatures he had ever seen and he had seen many. He then clapped as she finished and said," Beautiful dear lady, I must say you could be a court bard if you wanted".

Addison Lavor - December 13, 2007 12:01 AM (GMT)
Addison looked up at the sound of a man's voice. Instantly her cheeks flushed with color.

"Oh, I...did not know I had an audience..." she said softly, settling the harp into the nook of her arm. She stood and curtsied to him, as she had been taught to do in the Holy City.

"Thank you, kind sir. It is always nice to be appreciated," she murmured as she looked up again. Her head tilted as she observed his strange appearance. Obviously, this was a man who knew the craft of war. Perhaps the armor was an attempted scare-tactic... though, his attire did not match the nature of his attitude.

"I am Addison Lavor, though most call me Addy. May I ask the name of my audience?" She asked as a smile crept along her lips.

Arthur Paendrag Tanreall - December 13, 2007 03:19 PM (GMT)
Arthur smiled at the woman and listened to her. He then observed her trying to percieve any intention of threat. HE was always cautious he had to be. There were dangers in the world that one always had to aware of. Once he finiahed observing he said." Who I am is a question not easily answered". HE smiled a bit at that and then said," For I am no single enitity, no one being, I am everything yet nothing at the same time, I am an idea, I am a cause, I am leader and a follower, I think therefore I am, simply though I was once known as Arthur Pendragon the Evil Dragon Slayer, now I am Arthur Paendrag Tanreall, you however may call me Arthur dear lady".

He smiled at himself he knew what he said would confuse alot of people mostly because he wanted to see a reaction of being puzzled. He guessed that was the dragon in him coming out. He then said," I to am a bit of a performer, mostly during the summer season though, the other seasons I am whatever I want to be, either way I get alot done".

Addison Lavor - December 13, 2007 09:35 PM (GMT)
Addison looked at the man thoughtfully, considering his statement.

"That is a very intelligent answer," she said after a moment, "and so very true. No one can be characterized by one single quality, one single name, as we are all many different things."

She smiled. Something told her that she could trust him. Perhaps it was the way he spoke or the light behind his smile.

Another moment passed.

"It's a wonderful gift, isn't it?" she commented, referring to the ability to play the music she loved.

Arthur Paendrag Tanreall - December 13, 2007 09:43 PM (GMT)
Arthur leaned against the tree and he said," You could say that, music is indeed a gift, it helps in alot of ways, yet one cannot rely on it always". He was referring to himself on that. He could not rely on his talents to make him what he wanted he had to rely on his drive and ambition. He then said," Of course I have seen it do amazing things, and if you can add Dragon SOng to your ability, your skill will no know bounds". He would know he had used dragon song enough times to know the effects it had.

He felt he could trust her, still he knew nothing of her. So it was hard to know the intentions behind the person. Still he could not help but feel that he could. He then said," I rarely see an angel outside of their sanctuary, usually they have good reasons, if you don't mind what is yours, because I find angels interesting creatures".

Addison Lavor - December 14, 2007 04:11 AM (GMT)
Addison tilted her head in thought. Could she tell him that she was a Fallen? It tempted her to run, right then and there. But she didn't. Something made her stay.

She swallowed hard, and looked away. It might be easier to not see his expression.

"I'm one of the Fallen, the ones who are not quite as pure as they should be." She closed her eyes, but opened them again quickly. "Tis both a curse as well as a blessing."

Instantly she scolded herself. She had not told anyone about this since its happening. Why had she now? It was foolishness, really. Pure foolishness. What did she expect to come from this? Good fortune? That ship had long sailed away.

Arthur Paendrag Tanreall - December 14, 2007 04:51 AM (GMT)
Arthur nodded at hearing this. He could tell she was not evil so in someway could understand. Since she had told him what she was he would return the favor. He said," We all have our secrets we wish to keep, I myself have many and sometimes it is seen as worse than what you are". He smiled and transformed to his dragon human state. Soon a 12 foot tall blue half-dragon stood before her and with the armor on him he knew he looked more fearsome than he already did. Arthur then lets his wings come out for extra effect and blew a puff of smoke and smiled a draconic smile and then said," You see I am a half-dragon, sometimes like the fallen I am thought of as a monster when all I seek to do is good, so me and the fallen are alike in certain ways".

He smiled and detransformed back to his human state. HE then said," You are now one of the privaleged few who know that I am half-dragon, and since you know my human name I think you should know my dragon. I am Dar'Vaeg Son of the Skies to the dragons".

(Sorry its so short but I gotta go to bed)

Addison Lavor - December 14, 2007 09:17 PM (GMT)
Addison felt oddly as if a large weight had been lifted from her shoulders. He knew what it felt like...

So he was a half-dragon, then. The fact did not shake her at all. In fact, she found it fascinating.

"You, Arthur, are the first one to have been told my secret," she said, allowing a small smile. She paused. "A half-dragon, you say? That was the most incredible thing my eyes have ever gazed upon. Simply magnificent."

(OOC: No need to apologize. It's fine. :xmaswink:)

Arthur Paendrag Tanreall - December 16, 2007 02:32 AM (GMT)
Arthur smiled at her he was glad that she saw what he was as facinatiing. So few did and those few were his friends and probably one of his enemies. He looked at her and said," You would be the sixth or seventh for me, I only tell it to those I trust that I know want be frightened by it". Arthur paused a bit thinking and then said," Yes it is a facinating lifestyle in many ways, I will live as long as any normal dragon, its my fathers traits that make me a dragon, and its my mothers that make me human, though I am more dragon than human it might not seem it now, but I am".

Arthur sighed a bit and said," If that was the most incredible thing you have seen, you obviously need to see more of the world, believe me I have seen things that will make you breathless, two of those things I carry on me now at all times".

Addison Lavor - December 16, 2007 08:14 PM (GMT)
Addison looked at Arthur, thoughtful.

"You forget that I have lived within confines of the sanctuary for the majority of my life. It's true, I have not seen much of the world yet, but that is my goal. I have nothing more to look forward to, so I may as well see all that there is to see."

She paused.

"How did you know I would not be frightened by what you are?" The question had hit her abruptly.

Arthur Paendrag Tanreall - December 16, 2007 08:47 PM (GMT)
Arthur smiled at her and said," Angels are difficult to scare and to frighten, I have been among your kind enough to know that, plus angels see my kind as diffrent, they don't see us as monsters like most races do, they see us as a part of life, even if dragons sometimnes attack them". He paused for abit letting what he said sink in. HE then said," They have never been scared of me they had no reason, they may have been suprised but never scared, they know my heritage and as such see me as an ally to good, the only angel that ever was scared of me was Revanche De Scion, a pure vil angel he considered himself the angel of death, he was scared because I knew his limits and I knew his fears, he also knew what I was capable of so he feared me".

He then let go of the anger in his voice and said," Plus your a woman, and it is aginst my code to harm women, so I knew that you would not fear me, also if I came in human form you would be more likely to get to know me than if I came in dragon".

Addison Lavor - December 17, 2007 04:11 AM (GMT)
Addison felt her face warm.

"Ah, you have much more faith in us than we sometimes deserve. Though, of course, you are right in many ways. We know that dragons are to be respected like every other living being." It was crazy how others treated creatures differently, as if they did not deserve to be regared with as much affection. The thought struck her has offensive. "And I appreciate your respect to not harm me. It's very considerate of you."

She thought for a moment.

"Tell me, what brought you to the Falls, Arthur?"

Arthur Paendrag Tanreall - December 17, 2007 04:17 AM (GMT)
Arthur sighed a bit to himself. He felt himself liking this woman more and more every second. THat was natural for him though, he trusted women more than men in any situation. HE was never sure why they were just easier to get alogn with to him. Plus he had liking for them, and he had handsome featureso that helped. Of course his pride and ego got in the way sometimes but it worked out in the end. He then said," I have no reason for being here, only that I needed to think, sometiems places liek this allow me to think, other than that I have no reason, I go where I want".

He smiled at her and looked out at the falls and said," If I can guess though, you came here to have peace and quiet and possibly to get more in touch with nature, a poor guess I am sure". He smiled and wondered if she woudl tell him if he was correct, but also inside him he wondered if there was more to it than that.

Addison Lavor - December 17, 2007 05:18 PM (GMT)
Addison felt much more relaxed here with Arthur than she had in so long. It was enough for her to realize how many times she had smiled today, within this last hour alone.

As she spoke, she looked up at the sky.

"You are partially right. I was flying, trying to clear my mind- as I have found myself doing a lot lately. When I decided it was time to land, this was where I came to be. I touched ground and could not help but feel as if I had been drawn here for some reason." She smiled a little at Arthur. "That, and the beauty reminded me a little of the Holy City."

Arthur Paendrag Tanreall - December 17, 2007 07:48 PM (GMT)
Arthur looked at her for a moment questionign himself by what she meant. HE then said," Do you mean Aman or the Sanctuary of Angels, because thsioe are the only holy cities I know of, and only one I have ever seen and visited". He looked at her and wiated for a bit beofre adding," That is of course if you don't midn me asking".

(Sorry its so short I have no muse today)

Addison Lavor - December 17, 2007 08:22 PM (GMT)
"Tis no trouble." Addison shrugged. "When I say the Holy City, I mean the Sanctuary. I have never actually seen Aman, but I have heard tale that it is quite extraordinary."

She frowned. She was beginning to think of Arthur as a friend...and possibly something more. On normal terms, this would be considered a good thing. But these terms were anything but normal. Could she risk opening her heart up this way, accepting a friend, after what happened to her in the Sanctuary?

(OOC: lol. I seem to be having a bit of the same problem.)

Arthur Paendrag Tanreall - December 17, 2007 08:59 PM (GMT)
Arthur smiled at her and said," Yes I have heard as such about its beauty, I have an aquyantice who has permisson to go there, the Guardian of Water, I met her a long tiem ago, before she was made guardian, I also once met the Guardian of The Stars, but he would not remember me, so I know what it looks liek through them". He was tellign the truth in away, he had never really asked them but his father had told him something of it, as he had once been a guaridan of Lothemendil before the Dragon Wars started. It was long ago though and Arthur did not feel liek tellign the story.

He then said," Of course I have only seen one thing to match the beauty of the Holy CIty, and that was a woman, and I only saw her once just once, but it was enough to know when someone had true beauty, she taught me much, I have not seen her in over a year, I doubt I will see her again she only appears to those who have need of her, she is no god, but she was something special".
